My dad was raving about this place so I figured I'd try it out and order food for the family. I ordered the Special #1 which was a large margahrita pizza, fried calamari, and a 2 liter soda. The pizza was very chewy; was not what I had expected. I expect it be crunchy and a bit salty from the mozzarella, but not at all. It was very bland and disappointing. Fried calamari was very chewy as well. Seemed like they were frozen rings, battered and fried when ordered straight from the freezer. I had to put my pizza in the toaster oven to get the crunch back. Dining at Foschini's and getting take out from Foschini's are two completely different food experiences. I definitely prefer dining in rather than getting take out or delivery. I've gotten their food to go before and the pizza has been subpar. It tastes pretty dry and nothing too impressive. Its below average at best. However, the food is pretty decent if you have at the restaurant. They've updated the dining area and have given it a more modern look. For food, we ordered their sausage and pepper slice and a panini with fries. The panini had steak, mushrooms, onions, & provolone cheese. The pizza was standard but the sausage flavor was great and really made the pizza better overall. My favorite part of the meal was definitely the panini. There were no frills, just a tasty panini with the mushroom and onion flavors working well with the steak. The fries were very basic, if you want more flavor to them I suggest adding salt. The portion of the sandwich was perfect for two people to share. The service was okay, we were there pretty late so there wasn't too many servers there but it still would have been nice to have been checked up on during dinner. They are also BYOB and there is a Bottle King close by. I suggest this place for a decent, relative cheap meal if you are in the area. read more

I guess I'll start my review by saying I've been a long time customer of Foschini's. I won't say every time has been perfect, but I also am not here to leave a rave review unfortunately. I am obsessed with margarita pies, so I do my fair share of testing out different pizzerias. Here we are, a fine Saturday afternoon, and my family and I were craving pizza. I'm an avid user of Grubhub and Foschini's was the first pizzeria that popped up- so why not ... right? Dead wrong. I ordered my pizza at around 5. I received a call around 6:15 (yes, already an hour after my order) from the delivery driver confirming an address.. that wasn't mine. After realizing the mix up, I decided to ask him to read my order back to me. Also not my order. The man I spoke to had my name, and phone number for the wrong address AND wrong order. I've now been paitiently waiting an hour for my simple large pie.. realizing my pie was at another address with another driver and probably will be arriving cold.. I wasted no time in calling the restaurant. Now the phone was answered by a pleasant young girl who confirmed my address and order for me and told me she would make a call to the drivers to check on my order. After waiting 20 minutes with no call back (now have waited 1 hr +) and still no pizza.. I called the restaurant back. Same girl picked up and I kindly asked for a status on my pizza. This question was responded with some mumbled comments with (I'll assume) other coworkers. She confirmed the pizza was on its way and would be there shortly. In my opinion (worked in restaurants for 8+ years) a manger should have ONE- given me a call back to apologize .. or IN THE LEAST have been put on the phone to discuss the inconvenience. However, I'm a very patient gal. So I hang up in confidence my pizza would be arriving hot and fresh, all considering. ANOOOOOTHERRRRRR 20 minutes goes by. (Yes I was clocking it because I have hungry kids on hand! ... and my stomach was yelling at me too) I am now at my tipping point. FINALLY the pizza arrives a few moments later. My husband made DAMN sure to check if the pizza was cold. And yea you guessed it. It was. We were hungry and not happy ... so sorry to the delivery driver who we probably scared. We asked him how long it took him to deliver the pizza. Now I know you didn't see this coming .... "ten minutes" he tells me TEN MINUTES. I've been waiting almost two hours and got a cold pizza but it took you ten minutes to get here?! Now I'm PISSED I call the restaurant and to make this longgg review short- A manager or someone that was over the age of 15 finally gets on the phone. He pathetically apologizes for the inconvenience and assured me the pizza will be replaced. I know that "over an hour and it's free" rule only applies to shitty pizza chains .. but I myself had to go below my standards and ask for the pizza to be free. Where is the customer service? Not only did they mix up my order and take over an hour .. my pizza was cold and now they want me to L I T E R A L L Y pay for THEIR mistake. Nah. The pizza being free should have been the first thing out of the mouth of whoever I was speaking with. This entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I'll probably never be returning. Ordered dinner tonight for the first time and was very disappointed. A total waste of $66.00. Ordered Eggplant Rollatini, Penne Primavera with salad, Mussels, Roast Beef Hero & Calzone. Not one item had any flavor and tasted previously frozen. Vegetables in the Primavera appeared to be fresh, but that was it. Salads were delivered without dressing which is probably a good thing. The Calzone was mostly dough with little ricotta and no flavor. The Penne was chewy, not al dente, but chewy and absolutely tasteless. The Penne Primavera sauce was like water. It's the first time bread was not included with an Italian restaurant order. Didn't even attempt to try the Roast Beef Hero. They need to shorten up their menu to something manageable so they can buy fresh ingredients on a regular basis. I don't know how this place is in business. We will never order from here again. Threw everything out. Fortunately I had left over Pasta Fagioli. read more

Order 2x, both times had issues with soda. One time it was an expired date & the delivery guy did not come back by the time I finished my meal & the other time the soda was not even refrigerated. Staff & delivery guys were always very nice though. Pizza: I ordered the deep dish which had hardly any cheese but tasted very good & next time was Sicilian which was good as well. I am in love with this restaurant and literally have NO complaints. I have never dined in at Foschini's but the pick up & delivery experiences are delightful. The staff is very friendly, efficient, and punctual. I have tried several things on the menu ranging from pizzas to salads to desserts, and everything is DELICIOUS. They even offer healthy options such as whole wheat crusts & breads. On top of that, it is very inexpensive!!! I recommend this place to everyone! read more

The first time my family ordered from here it was great. Tonight was absolutely horrible. The calzone was ok but a little mushy. Mariana sauce way too thin. I ordered the gourmet chicken salad... Got the steak salad upon delivery. Father ordered chicken parm dinner. The chicken was obviously frozen... So thin.. So tough.. Weird taste. He couldn't eat it and had to throw it out. Good Pizza, Cheese steaks, and their Italian entree's are very good. Dont expect a 30 minute delivery. Usually takes an hour but I find the food is worth the wait as freshly cooked. Their Bruschetta pie / slice's are the best. Staff are nice, think their are new owners to this location as new decor inside and a few new faces. read more

Been ordering from Foschini's since it opened a few years back. I have to say that the people are always friendly, even if it is busy, and the Famous Margherita is oustanding. The only issue I have ever had is that sometimes the delivery can be slow (over an hour, once or twice) but the food is so delicious that it makes up for it. read more

Foschini's has the best pizza around! The margarita pizza is the best I have ever had, real New Jersey style pizza. The employees are very friendly. I always spend more time then i should talking to the pizza man and waitresses. I live in Cresskill and my only complaint is that it sometimes takes a while for an order, but it is well worth it! All the food I have tried here has been delicious and well prepared. I am in LOVE with the stuffed chicken! Can't get better fairly priced food with FREE delivery around here! read more

Came here for pizza one day, took incredibly long to make and the pizza was not fresh. The workers seemed like they were slacking off and didn't care about the customers---understandable why it was empty in there. However, the girl at the register was sweet. I was between a three and a four star because they do have some of the better pizza around but it is still not that great in my opinion. They staff is usually nice and the deliver pretty quickly. 1 star because they have great stuffed mushrooms. Everything else is lacking for a better word. I've never ordered from here without having some sort of issue. Tonight was the icing on the cake. My boyfriend called and ordered 2 sandwiches and an order of stuffed mushrooms (which are awesome). He then called back to confitm that my sandwich was a hot TOASTED sandwich. The girl on the other end of the phone said "it's always a hot sandwich". Ok great, we'll pick it up in 25 minutes. We picked up our food and my boyfriend asked if I wanted to check the bag. Stupid me, I said no figuring that we called to conform it was a hot sandwich so there was no way they could mess it up. WELL! We just got home and guess who got a COLD sandwich? !?!?! Yes, me. Bread was stale on both sandwiches, bread that came with mushrooms was cold and stale as well. Everyone makes mistakes but when I called to let them know, the girl on the phone just blamed everyone else and refused to let me speak to an owner or manager. I'm writing this review to balance out the bad ones. So received a menu at the door and decided to read it while I was on the phone with my mom. I just came from the gym and worked up a sweat which I know is the wrong thing to look at after coming from the gym but hey don't judge, they're reasons why Dunkin Doughnuts is strategically located themselves next to gyms. Anyway, the menu has a huge selection compared to everything around me that just have pizzas and a few pasta dishes. I honestly had a lot to choose from. What made me order was the description of the Bruschetta pizza. I gave in an ordered a medium bruschetta pizza and zippolos. Orders go through delivery.com which wasn't bad as I had a coupon to use. The delivery was decent came in 30 mins, I believe than again I was distracted watching tv. Now the pizza was pretty good. I liked that they drizzled olive oil on it and there was no tomato sauce it had tons of tomatoes & onions that I couldn't see from up top the bottom of the slice unless it was the crust so they were not stingy. The zippolos came in a set of 8 and were warm but good as well. I had some saved over for the next day and after warming it up it was still good the veggies were still crunchy. Honestly I like this place a good deal. Sure, the service may sometimes be a little slow, but the food products are good. It's one of the better places in Dumont in my opinion, and the people there are friendly and courteous. I've seen some bad reviews about the oven, but who cares so long as the actual pizza is good? Not the very best place, but overall good and serviceable, I go there weekly and I haven't yet found cause to complain. read more

This has to be the best pizza place around. They use high quality products and it shows in there pizzas. The owners are real nice guys and its family owned. The delivery is free and is almost always on time! I order from here at least 3 times a week. The dining room is a nice place to sit with your family for a great quality meal for the price of a local pizzeria. Not many places around here have a brick oven like Foshini's, the only complaint is that its a gas brick oven and not a fire- burning oven. There is also one waitress there that is always rude and slow, a short columbian girl, so when she's there I always get the food to go but most of the employees are fast and friendly. read more

Don't waste your money on this pizzeria!!! Horrible Place for service and pizza!!! My Fiance' and I order the first time and we were disappointed with their pie. It not the same when u read it on the menu and when u have it in front of you. Since the 1st try we figure they might of have a bad day, so we recently decided to order again after months later to give it a 2nd chance. We had ordered a deep dish pie and hoping it would be good. 1st all it took them 1hr and 10mins to deliver (REALLY), 2nd the deep dish look nothing like a deep dish. It look like a lazy, half ass effort was put on it (TOTALLY PATHETIC) 3) The pie was cold!! Seriously!! We had to throw it back into the oven to reheat it.
