Definately a great place to cool off in the Lake County heat. =) We like to spend a day out on the boat and swimming in the lake then end it with a refreshing Twister or just a regular ice cream cone. Great prices as well! Especially when you look at other ice cream shops like Baskin Robins or Cold Stone which are waaay to over priced. You can get something for the whole family for under $10. The inside is nice with cool AC and modern music quietly playing. Great way to relax after a busy day out on the lake. read more

I love Fosters. I have went with my parents as a child. I took my children and now take my grandchildren. It is a good family place to grab a relaxing burger and a great shake. But in the summer the air conditioning leaves much to be desired. But overall a great experience. read more

If I was rating this strictly off shakes it would be a 5 they are great but the food is just average at best wilted lettuce soggy tomatoes. If you ever see any foster freeze fastfood in the area, do not walk run!!!! This place is amazing for a couple or reasons. First, they have reasonable pricing on their food. Second, you have to try their grilled chicken sandwich and fish fillet sandwich. Just a few bites of these two is like having a menage trois. Way better than mcdonalds. Been to many Fosters Freeze chains and still a loyal customer but this particular location was a bit of a disappointment. 1. Service was horrible, didnt get my order right and got the cold shoulder when approached politely. 2. Food looked like it was just thrown together with stale veggies. 3. Vanilla should be vanilla, not mixed with other flavors. read more

We've only had one bad experience here and that was one of our items not being given to us even after we confirmed with the cashier what we ordered. It was a simple mistake and, other than that, the food is OK. It seems that the prices have gotten a bit higher though. read more

Fosters always has the best ice cream treats and fries. Their low end burgers though are gross. A double hamburger costs $2.59 and tastes just as bad as McDonald's but cost more than double. It doesn't even include cheese for that price. I wouldn't buy their more expensive meals because for that price I could be sitting in a nice restaurant eating, not fast food. YUMMY!!! Whats more better to do to relax after a day at the pool but go get some ice cream. Chocolate dipped ice cream cone to be exact. For only a DOLLAR ....yup thats right $1. Yumsters! We even went about 10 mins before closing and they make us feel rushed and we also were asking around for some matches and when asking the cahsier if they had some she checked in the back and everything. Really disappointed. I grew up in Ukiah and we recently drove through and I told my boyfriend all about how awesome Fosters Freeze was. We waiting in a very slow line and once we got up to the registers both people went to make food. We literally stood there for probably a good 3-4 minutes before someone even acknowledged us. The food is mediocre. They need to staff more people and clean up the place! read more

The freeze is great, last month a medium freeze was $4.95, worth it. Today I went and bought a medium freeze and it was $5.95. At these prices you can buy a half gallon of ice cream for less. I enjoy them but I think it was my last. read more

Stopped here on our way home from a "Week Fishing with the Guys". For years this has become our last stop on the drive home to 'reality'. I swear it was over 100 degrees the day we went to Fosters. We were desperately hot and thirsty and Foster's had ice cream! There is nothing better on a hot day than ice cream! The line was long, staff was impatient, but the ice cream was so darn good! The strawberry cheese cake was incredible! Mmmm! I love this place, easy to get to as it is right on hwy 20 plus you can get to it by boat as there is a marina across the street. It is the only fast food place outside of Nice that I go to for hamburgers. I love the ice cream cones and banana splits, too. There is something keeping me from giving it a five, it may be the service but that depends on who is working there but overall they take care of you. I love Foster Freeze. The food and desserts are all good. I've been going there since 2002. The customer service is great. It's always busy especially during the summer so you have to pick the right time to go in. They've outlasted most restaurants in Lucerne. Their even busy during the winter. I worked here for six years off and on (all of my high school years included). The owners are great people and like family to me. If you try any other Foster Freeze, this one is the best by far! It stays very clean and the food is much higher in quality than any other. It can get crowded in the summer, but for good reason! The ice cream is amazing, and the food is too. I recommend the grilled chicken sandwich, and don't forget to order fries with fry sauce...the best! The shakes are great too. Banana chocolate chip is my favorite, also recommend any of the fruit flavors, real fruit included! There is a park across the street which can be nice to sit and eat away from others. read more

Their Banana Creme Pie Twister (like a 3D milkshake) is one of the best things I have ever tasted! The other Foster Freeze in Lower Lake doesn't have it. I think they are the only ones that have it. From Sacramento to Fort Bragg, Fosters was always a for sure stop. Now that my nephews are older we stop there now as well. The last few times each employee has been super rude. The products I remember growing up are far below par. I understand they are teens and could care less about their job... but maybe it's time to find people who will care about their job. read more

This place has been a part of lake county for years. From the beautiful location, to the friendly faces that work there the entire experience is great. They have so many different ice cream options you could go crazy trying to decide (mudslide twister, bannana milkshake, hot fudge sundaes, Reeses twisters some of my faves). They have burgers and fries, corn dogs, hot dogs, chicken, and mozzarella sticks. So much food and its all pretty tasty. Prices are a little higher than say jack in the box but the quality is better. Sitting there on the patio, eating ice cream and fries on the sun. The park and lake right across the street. It really is a summer past time. Tuesdays we get dollar cones and go sit by the water. Never really dissapointed here. I love how you see alot of the youth working here in the summer months, like its tradition as well almost. Family owned and operated so your patronage actually benefits the community. It is very popular and can get crowded but usually the wat isnt too bad and its completely worth It!!
