First time here as the reviews on Yelp were good and I have been dying to try this place. I ordered the 11 oz. chicken fried steak and home style potatoes with a biscuit and gravy. The entire meal was cold especially the biscuit and gravy and the home style potatoes looked and tasted like they were out of a frozen bag and not fresh cut potatoes. The eggs had no basic seasoning (salt + pepper). The server had to heat up my biscuit and gravy in the microwave. I mean the gravy should be the last thing to be poured on and has to be hot and steaming. The chicken fried steak tasted good but I want my food nice and hot or at least warm especially at a restaurant. I have a feeling that my food was prepared first and left sitting out while waiting for my girl's food to be ready. I was highly disappointed. My girl ordered the breakfast veggie skillet which was dry/overcooked and did not come in a skillet but on a plate instead. The cheese on top was slices of cheese half melted and still cold. She was also highly disappointed. She said it would have been nice to have some sauce on top so the eggs and veggies were not so dry. I wish I had more hands so I could give this place four thumbs down. My cousin,wife and I went to this place because my neighbor told me they had prime rib and clam chowder on Fridays. We get there and the dining room is filled as well as people picking up call in orders,....as we are melaninated people.We are already on edge as we are told even tho they have an open sign on they are closed and no one is even paying us the respect.of looking at us as they discriminate against us....all I will say is if you are a person of color do not, I repeat do not patronize this establishment they are not for us!! read more

Four corners is a family owned restaurant that's been around close to 40 years. Located on the outskirts of Tracy at the corner of Chrisman Road and Linne. I've been passing by here for years and heard great things, today I finally stopped for breakfast. Parking is limited in the front, but I believe there is parking in the back as well. It's a cozy restaurant with some bar seating when you walk in and plenty of tables to go around. It has a country vibe to it, with great people and friendly service. If I was judging this place on food alone I would give it 5 stars. I ordered the chicken fried steak with gravy and two eggs over easy with hash browns . My wife ordered a Denver omelette with hash browns. On the side we split the French toast made with homemade bread dipped in egg with cinnamon and nutmeg and coated with crushed cornflakes. The homemade bread and cornflakes puts their french toast above most. My wife really enjoyed her omelette, which looked really good as well. But without a doubt and last but not least, the chicken fried steak was the best I've had. The gravy is outstanding and the steak super tender and fried to perfection. This place was so good I hate to give it only four stars but I have to admit I thought the coffee was terrible. Not to make a huge deal but we asked for more creamer and it never came. But to be kind they were starting to get very busy. But even with cream and sugar that coffee needs work. But that won't stop me for coming back for more of that yummy chicken fried steak and French toast. read more

Okay normally I would give them a higher rating. When we choose to eat out on a Friday night we like to eat local and support local business. Sadly, the last two times that I have ordered they have forgotten a significant portion of a meal. Today it was tri-tip dip. No dip. the other time it was a German sausage added sauerkraut got charged for sauerkraut she didn't put it in the bag got all the way home and then found out. It's quite disappointing when you spend the service fee and you leave a generous tip on the online order form, and they still mess up! We won't be back for quite a while. It's really sad because we love this place and we love our town and we love to support local business. but when they don't get things right and you waste your money on a half-ass attempt that didn't try very hard to make the customer happy. read more

The saga of the bland Californian restaurants continues... Let me start by saying maybe this is partly my fault. I came here because Yelpers said this place had great breakfast: I should've left when they weren't serving breakfast cuz I mean, c'mon you really can't fuck that up. But I didn't so I had the following experience... As a poc, when I walk into a place and get that "your kind's not welcome here" vibe from the decor and crowd, normally I gracefully bow out cuz I ain't got time. However, I was pleasantly surprised with our waitress. She was ok and suggested the one thing I actually liked; French fries. Which says a lot cuz I don't like french fries. But they were crisp on the outside, soft in the middle and piping hot. Yum! Between her and the fries, thats y this place gets 2stars. That's about it though. I ordered what they deemed a "Cajun" chicken sandwich. Being from the south with roots in Louisiana, there's nothing Cajun about this sandwich. The closest this sandwich came to being Cajun is when I put Tabasco sauce on it to try and mask its dryness and add any kind of flavor to it. (See photo). They also serve cold macaroni and cheese salad as macaroni and cheese. Now listen sir-madam, normally that's y the distinction is made between mac and cheese and macaroni salad: so that I know if I should try it or not. Honey, when that cold macaroni salad hit my table with all of its foreign objects within, I damn near fainted! How you gonna have me thinking this is bout to be some warm gooey cheese filled goodness and it's more like mayo topped pasta??? Ok that's enough lol. I'm not gonna go too hard on this place cuz at least the food was hot, the fries were good and the waitress was ok. We went for a quick bit. We got water, OJ, coffee. We got 2 biscuits and gravy with the hash browns sandwich. The gravy was good the biscuits were airy and fluffy. I don't mind that they were good. The hash browns were cooked perfectly a nice crunch to them. The bacon sausage that was mixed in what good as well. The sour cream hit as well. It's been many years since we have dined here. Recently my wife saw an ad for Broaster Chicken meals for pick-up only during the current COVID-19 pandemic. I called earlier in the day to see if one had to order early so as not to get there and find out that they may have run out of chicken. The young lady that answered the phone listened to my questions and assured me that I could now or at the time I wanted to get a take out dinner 5:30 PM. Knowing that they closed at 6:30 PM. When I arrived I saw multiple orders set up on the counter. I told the gentleman my name and advised him that I had placed a order for a 12 piece complete meal. He jaded s bag that contained the coleslaw, mashed potatoes, gravy and these huge biscuits butter included. He couldn't find the Broaster Chicken as it was just coming out of the over/Broaster. He then brought me an aluminum pan that was so hot he had to insulate the bottom with a paper bag to keep from burning me or my car seats. I dove home smelling this luscious fried chicken smell emanating from the back seat. When I got home I still had trouble carrying hot pan of chicken into the house. Wow, is about all I can say. The mashed potatoes were real mashed potatoes not the usual "Big name" chicken takeout dehydrated potatoes Home style gravy fantastic ,Cole slaw was great and there was 4 huge home style baked biscuits with real butter cubes. The chicken was the best Genuine Broaster fried chicken that I've had in a real long time. And it was over hot to boot. Let add the fact the entire meal was reasonably priced and far superior food than either TAKE OUT chicken joints located on Grantline Rd. Please go see the folks at the 4-Corners restaurant if your craving great chicken take out. As I started out we used to dine there many years ago but drifted away. We will definitely be back to try their other menu items soon. Genuine Broaster Chicken for sure. Patronize local small businesses rather than Franchised frozen reheated food like most Big name franchises sell. This is my all time favorite restaurant in Tracy for breakfast & lunch. They have great service, delicious food & a pleasant atmosphere. They serve American classics & on the back of the menu they offer a few home made German dishes/desserts. Missy is a fantastic waitress with a friendly attitude & even let us try their Cactus soup! There is plenty of parking up front & very short wait times for a table. The prices are very reasonable - the total for two picky eaters at lunch time was $23 (not including the tip). read more

I've been to this place many years ago as a kid and I remember it being a good little spot to go eat but now that I'm in my 50s i had a friend I work with ask me to meet him here for lunch ! I was like wow they still open!! Cool!! So I have to say it's still has great food and service!!! And now I have been here twice for lunch and once for breakfast today!! The only reason I didn't do five stars yet is I wanna come try the prime rib! If it's as good as I remember from back in the day it will be 5 stars from me!! So if u want good food at a good price and service try this place out!! You will not be disappointed!! If I had to say one thing negative because it is a review I would say the biscuits I had was alil hard but even saying this I have to say they have the best country gravy that they put on them so take it for what it is lol!!! I wonder where the severe hangover person ate, but it was not at the Four Corners. Chicken Fried Steak in California is not Texas style or southern style cfs. Ordering same is like ordering a taco at an Italian restaurant. Not likely to be very good. Anyway. The Four Corners is a perfectly decent coffee shop/diner that serves a reasonably large portion at a reasonably low price. The food is neither exceptionally good nor is it bad. Been here one time and thought it was an ok spot. Came here again to try it out and the overall experience was bad. The place has too many open tables for the amount of wait time for the. We walked in and were sat down instantly but they had no baby seats ..... took about 10 minutes to finally order ....but they were too "on the go" which is why we didn't even order our drinks first. We ordered our food and drinks at the same time. After having a conversation with my wife , i realized we had been there for over an hour and half. Amd nothing still. We asked why was the wait so long and they said they only had 2 chefs. And that we had one table ahead of our order. I get the shirt staff but the time should have been communicated prior to seating down. The owner seemed was more concerned about explaining why the wait instead of hearing our voice So we just left. We honestly didn't even know that this part of Tracy existed. Were meeting with family and decided to try Four Corners based on the reviews. It really is an out of the way, home town kind of spot. The breakfast was really good, our table shared a cinnamon roll, yes they are big and delicious. They weren't serving waffles that day, but there was plenty to choose from and everyone in our group was very pleased with their meal. An older gentleman walked over from the breakfast bar where he was sitting, to comment on how much fun we were having. He was adorable and everyone was very nice. My parents did comment on the fact that the "cream" for your coffee was actually milk, but not a big deal. Definitely not fancy, but great hometown feel, good customer service and the food was very tasty. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a casual breakfast with family and friends. It sucks that I have the need to change my review. My first experience was amazing, however every time i've come here after the first time just kept going more and more downhill. Today, was my last straw. Only being here for 10 minutes the waitress had the nerve to snap at me when my only question while ordering was "what comes with the steaks". The reason I ask this is because under steaks there wasn't any information to say that sides actually came with it. I've made the mistake at another restaurant assuming that a side came with a steak and I didn't want to make the mistake again, which is exactly why I asked my question. I've been in customer service for over 10 years and never have I ever snapped at a customer like she did. Maybe she was in a bad mood or something, but that's no way to treat a person. Especially when I was in such a great mood and asked her very politely. She snapped at each person at my table as well. So, i'm deducting two stars for such behavior read more

I've been here a few times for breakfast and it's always been very good. The pancakes are special! But what really sets this place apart (for me) is the Broasted Chicken. The chicken is superb, real mashed potatoes, good gravy, and excellent cole slaw. The biscuits are cold but easy enough to heat up when you get home. I usually get the 12 piece meal deal and it's less than $30! If they had delivery I'd be ordering a couple times a week. As it is I get the takeout chicken once a month because I live 5 miles from the restaurant. read more

Came here with my boyfriend awhile back and the whole experience wasn't very good. Upon walking in, the waitstaff as well as the customers (who looked like local regulars) just stared at us the entire time while we were waiting to be seated. My boyfriend is poc and felt very uncomfortable, and we were standing around waiting to even be acknowledged for 15 mins - if we had to wait 5 more mins we would have left. After finally being seated we ordered our breakfast, I got waffles and my boyfriend got pancakes. The whole meal was nothing special and pretty average. Our waitress provided okay service. She was polite, but would take awhile to get our food/drinks and wasn't very friendly to us like how we observed her being friendly to other tables. Overall, this place is a no-go for me. Instead of ordering fast food or pizza while we had our grandkids we ordered take-out from Four Corners and everyone loved the food! Huge portions, reasonably priced and everyone was happy. My husband had the tre combo which came with ribs, steak, chicken, mashed potatoes, salad, soup, and fresh bread. The ribs were the best we've ever had and the soup was a creamy potato with bacon...it was unbelievable! It was hot and fresh and packed with care.
