So with the week off between Christmas and New years, set out on a drive to Brentwood to try Mccauley Brothers Olive Ranch (different review to follow), with the plan to eat at the tiny Byron cafe afterwards. oops closed today, so knowing of the little place out on Chrisman and Linne rd, in Tracy, we headed over that way. Neat little place, pretty good sized menu, with a few German Specialties thrown in for good measure. Wife had a flatiron steak sandwich on a french roll with nice side of fries, steak Cooked to order. i had the smoked German sausage, 2 large ones, with fries, a veggie side and a small dish of kraut.. Both very good. Am going to make it a point to come back for a schnitzel dinner, next trip. read more

This is a little tiny restaurant that has been around forever. I've lived in the area 20 years and I've only ate here twice and both times were for breakfast after a bike ride. While the food is good the wait for the food is soooo long. I think they would benefit from hiring a couple more people. I'm not sure if the wait is on the cook end or what but if I wasn't starving both times and had a car instead of my bike I probably would have left. read more

My son and I stopped in for the first time for breakfast. As we entered we immediately noticed the décor and set up of the place. It was like back in the day home feel. Small country spot that was comfy and filled with families enjoying their meal. We sat at the bar and was immediately served, the waitress was very nice and attentive. Sitting at the bar I was able to really see the place. Its dark, small and older but it is kept clean. Yes, they served tea and orange juice from store bought bottles BUT after seeing some of our local restaurants busted on social media for having mold and filth in their tea and drink containers I was perfectly happy to see that they ensure a good quality product in a safe and clean bottle. So you can enjoy your juice and tea knowing its clean. The menu was simple, prices were pretty good considering its a restaurant. The food came out, I ordered biscuits and gravy with eggs. OMG, the biscuits were homemade, huge and yummy. The eggs were your typical restaurant eggs. My son had pancakes and eggs, the pancake was really good. He insists on coming back for those pancakes. They were fluffy but dense and had a sweet cornmeal taste to it. It was really really good. I would recommend coming here if you like simply homestyle food and low price. Don't expect some 5 star fancy with gourmet plates, this is small hometown dinning that serves hot food that tastes good. read more

The food is delicious here and they have been around for a very long time. I recently heard they are retiring but son will take over. I do think it needs a quick cleanup like painting the panel and more lights a few other things I know this is not important as the food is delicious but I believe more people would come as I have asked a few friends to go mention this the staff are wonderful read more

Once again, had a great breakfast here. They have been steadily getting busier, which is good and bad. Good in that it means they are doing something right, and people keep coming here. If you want a home made breakfast, this place ain't it. My husband and I were craving brunch, we decided to try some place new in town. We've been told in the past by friends that four corners was a "go to" for breakfast. We sat at the bar and ordered our breakfast "to go" because we had our baby sleeping in the stroller and didn't want to wait for a table. While seated at the bar we noticed the waitress pouring orange juice "Tropicana" from a store bought bottle into a cup. At that point, my expectations for my order was zero to none. We get our order and drive it home, including my Tropicana orange juice. Our "to go" order didn't smell like anything special and once we get home we open our floppy trays. It was a greasy mess. Eat at your own risk. I will for sure not return to this place. Also, it's not very clean inside. read more

Not gonna lie, if I had written this review a year ago it would have been five stars. As I sit in the restaurant at this very moment - after being here for 45 minutes waiting for our food - I have to say three stars might be generous. Don't get me wrong, the food is great. It is large in size and very filling. It tastes great and it is incredibly low priced. But the service here is absolute trash. The staff are great. They are friendly and hospitable. But the restaurant itself simply cannot manage its business. There really is no reason you should have to wait for 45 minutes for your food EVERY TIME YOU COME IN. I am doubtful I would ever bring anyone here again. I'll probably still come by myself but if I am with someone or if I am pressed for time, Four Corners just will not be an option. read more

This family run business has been around for many years, great breakfast... NOW they have Broasted chicken dinners... YUMMY. I Loved it, potatoes and gravy good. cole slaw, fair, biscuits heavy, to dense not light and fluffy. The chicken is the star of the plate. read more

Four Corners is a great place to get breakfast. I strongly suspect most folks are regulars, but I've been treated really well each time I've been there. The portions are generous. Both times I had breakfast it was enjoyable. Today I tried the Eggs Benedict. It's one of my favorite things to order anywhere. They do a pretty good job. The English muffins were toasted just right, the eggs were poached just right, and they are generous with the Canadian bacon. I also like the has browns. They are cooked long enough to be crispy, but not so hard they are inedible. You need to add some salt or use the pepper sauce, though because otherwise they are a bit bland. When I make them at home, I always make them too thick. These were just right. It's easy to make a passable breakfast, but it can be tricky to make a good one, especially when your kitchen is turning them out by the dozen. My mom also like her corned beef hash/ We both liked the coffee. I have to admit I wasn't too crazy about the biscuit. It was generously portioned, but a little too doughy for my taste. I was eyeing my neighbor'd breakfast burrito and it looked pretty tasty. If you want to break away from the chains and support a local business, this is definitely a solid choice. read more

This is a great place to go for a home cooked style meal! Everything is down home and tasty! I wish they would bring back the salad bar so you can do your own fixings. Little tip the fried Chicken is wonderful there are a lot of take out orders, so just go with a back up plan and you won't be disappointed . read more

I love your food here but i thought about sharing my experience this morning. We had an unpleasant experience with your lady server. Shes blonde, white and looks like on her 60's. She was so impatient and intimidating esp when we were trying to convey what drinks we would have. We initially said regular coke but my friend changed her mind to lemonade, then she replied in disgust "so what do you want? juice or lemonade?" in which her question made the whole situation more confusing. She was so irritated that she transferred us to another server, a hispanic lady who is exceptionally kind and better than her. We were the only asian at that time and I see that the blonde server was extra nice to customers of her similar race. I believe that her attitude and customer service skills is something that needs to be called out esp for customers who are new to your place. She could have been nice and patient to us esp that we are not so familiar with menu. Pls talk to her, your food is great but i dont want her to continue with bad attitude esp to new customers let alone minority and speaks english as second language. read more

Seems like a local favorite as mid week it was packed with folks but I would not recommend a special trip from the freeway for travelers unless you just want to support a non-chain small business. Eggs and hash browns were fine but avoid the Belgian waffle - it was inedible - undercooked, gummy, barely warm. After seeing all the great Yelp reviews, on a trip from the Bay Area to the Sierra, we decided to go out of our way and have breakfast at Four Corners. I must say I was very disappointed. The food, when it finally came, was cold, and not particularly tasty. The eggs were overdone, and the sausage greasy. The pancake was leaden and my husband's waffle was dense and cakey, instead of crisp on the outside and fluffy-soft inside. The coffee, for diner coffee, was actually very good, and came with unlimited refills. And prices are decent, compared to other breakfast places. Service was brusque and not particularly friendly. I doubt we would ever go out of our way to eat here again. read more

First time and will NOT be back. I wanted to try what some people on social media were raving about, but was extremely disappointed. As soon as I walked in the place looked dirty, stuffy, cluttered, and musty! I ordered my usual, over easy eggs, sausage, hash and toast and my husband ordered biscuits and gravy. The food was just blah, not horrible but not good either. Definitely not good enough to want to go back. Never even knew about this place before last week. Ate here for the 1st time today; late Sunday breakfast. Restaurant was a little busy (which is a good thing), but we were seated in 5 minutes. What a great little place on the outskirts of Tracy. Cozy, rustic facility, friendly staff and great food. The biscuits & gravy special was very good and too much for me to finish. Wanted to try somewhere different. Seen the wonderful reviews so we gave it a shot. Not disappointed. I loved my meal. My hubby wanted breakfast so we came here in hopes breakfast was served all day. It wasn't so it just means we will be back for breakfast. I love the homely vibe in here. It's comfortable and cozy. Like your eating at a friends house. Hipsters and yelp snobs go someplace else and search for your Pokémon there this isn't the spot your looking for. This is a locals spot, so do like the locals do and chill out. This is a place to relax, sit down, talk to people other than your fake friends on Facebook. All the food here is good. Lots of the desert is homemade and sells out quick. (MUD PIE!!!!) (IT'S ALWAYS SOLD OUT ARRRG). I've been going here for a long time, my family, even longer. This is a nice family restaurant that can get packed QUICK. Don't let the looks fool you. If you go for breakfast, you can challenge Gary the owner to a dice roll to see if you'll get free coffee. Be warned though, I don't think I've ever seen him loose. Snarky hipster crowd looking for the red velvet ropes should stay away though. Sorry there's a Starbucks in town that offers secret Pokémon, you should go there and try to find them. ;) read more

My wife, Karen & I enjoyed a Prime Rib meal we split and both had the salad bar which is always stocked with fresh veggies! We both like their macaroni salad along with the onions & cucumbers. We got the king cut 16 oz and it was delicious!! Wished we saved room for dessert cause they had some delicious ones. Too late probably to go tonight but I recommend for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Tonight we stopped to enjoy the salad bar but I ended up trying the Cajun Catfish dinner and included the salad bar for a few bucks more. Not sure what was going on all of the other times I tried to visit but now I've been 3 times. There is a sign out front that says they're open 7 days a week and they seem to be. The service is slow but that is because they don't seem to have enough servers and the ones they do have go on break at bad times. We were sitting in a pretty full restaurant with 1 server trying REALLY hard to take care of everyone... not cool.. but she was trying :-) The breakfasts are pretty darn good. Although if you get the corned beef hash because it says "house made" and hope you'll get chunks of corned beef instead of the canned type "dog food" you'll be sad. It's just like canned.. The lunch, we had sandwiches and they were pretty decent. I would call this "home style food" nothing really fancy but it all tastes pretty good. read more

I stumbled across this restaurant on Yelp and couldn't wait to try it. The reviews were right, this place was great! I ordered the chicken fried steak dinner. It came with soup, salad bar, vegetables, choice of potato and bread! A steal at $12.99! I loved the salad bar, and I gave my soup to my dining partner so I wouldn't fill up before my meal came. He said it was good. Our entree was delicious. The gravy was so flavorful and the green bean/carrot and a couple sparse broccoli were steamed to al dente perfection. You could tell that they didn't buy the veggies in a bag or frozen because they were very fresh. The server said they make all of their salad dressings in house and also cut the fruit fresh that day. I ordered tapioca pudding to-go after hearing another table raving about it. I look forward to coming back and trying the breakfast menu. read more

This is a solid family owned business, and I am happy to see they are still around! I have had lunch at 4C once but have had breakfast there regularly. We go there mainly because the Hub-Unit loves it. Breakfasts are HUGE and fairly inexpensive, Hubs likes that he can get a german sausage with his breakfast for a small charge. I like that they have added blueberry pancakes to their menu. On the weekends breakfast can be very busy, so do not expect staff to be tuned in to your every whim, but they do their best and I have never felt ignored or neglected. Their lunch menu was larger than I had expected, many different kind of sammies, burgers and entrées. We liked the lobster melt and the split pea soup. Normally I would rate this restaurant much higher, but not after today's failed attempt at breakfast. Have been here numerous times, but today was the worst. We were seated and received our drinks fairly promptly. But then nothing. Another couple had come in a few minutes after us. They got their drinks as well. But then their food order was taken, and without a look in our direction, the waitress went back to the kitchen. After that, we decided to get up and leave. Came here thinking I'm only going to order a side of country style potatoes but they were kind enough to accommodate my diet restrictions so I was able to enjoy the vegetarian skillet without eggs and cheese. Loved coming here but we stopped eating breakfast /brunch out unless the restaurant have vegan option. Now I can enjoy breakfast here again with my family and friends. read more
