This place is LEGIT. It's absolutely a hole in the wall, but you get more then what you pay for. My personal favorite is the burger with bacon and french fries. The burger is delicious, but the fries are my absolut favorite part. The onion rings are some of the best I've ever had. The BLT is great. My friend ordered the schnitzel the last time we went, and that was pretty delicious. The cheese bread was so awesome... Mmm... The service is pretty damn great. Looking to try something different for brunch with the family, Yelp led us to this small restaurant on the far southeast corner of unincorporated Tracy. The place doesn't look like much on the outside but when we walked in on a Sunday morning, the place was hopping. This all was a good sign that we were in for a treat. We were seated and our drink orders taken. Looked over the small menu of breakfast delights and zero'd in on Corned Beef Hash & Eggs. Needed to seriously satisfy my CB & E craving for sure! Everyone else settled on classics and they even agreed to make my niece a special scramble of eggs, sausage and cheese. From that point the wait began. Making up numbers here but it gives you an idea. 'Table 2, order up!' Hmm that wasn't us but those people sure did come in after us by about 10 mins or so! 'Table 4, order up!' Ok those people came in at least 30 mins after us and know the owner, this is getting fishier than a pond full of sharks! Finally our order came nearly 45 mins after we ordered which by that time I'm miffed. I turned to my sister and said, they had to have lost our order and tried to recoup, she agreed. My corned beef hash was can-worthy but unlike any others I've tried in a bad way. It was super salty but combined with the eggs I got a bit of a mute. Throw in some homefries and english muffin and it was quite a feast for sure! Overall the dish was edible and I guess that's all anyone can ask. So in summary I think I'd like to come back but of course try their omelettes or something else only because it's so popular already! read more

I have to be honest, I was a little worried about coming here because of the recent bad reviews... but that was quickly changed. This place is great!! The decor is nothing to write home about- the only description I can think of, is it's like being in someone's dining room... very rustic & down to earth. The food was fantastic!!! I had the veggie scramble-yum! I tasted my friends pancakes- delicious!! The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the French toast with (burnt) cornflakes- I hear its popular, but it wasn't for me (or my friend). The prices are typical! The service was great!!! We went to our "go to breakfast spot" Mels one Sunday a few weeks ago, but it was jammed! Not wanting to hang around 30 minutes we decided to go for a drive. This place was great! We had dinner there tonight and though, my husband had been twice before, it was my first visit. I had the Prime Rib, which to be honest, was probably the the best I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly for my taste, which is a major accomplishment, in itself. The dinner came with both soup and salad, as well as a baked potato and steamed veg. The soup was a really yummy chili cheese and the salad bar, which, at first, seemed to be on the basic side, turned out to have some of the most amazing blue cheese dressing and homemade croutons you'll find. A nice surprise was also the made-from-scratch tapioca. My husband had the pork schnitzel. I gave it a little try and was pleasantly surprised at how tender and non-greasy it was. His meal was supposed to come with something called "cheese buttons" but they were all out, so he opted for a baked potato instead. Guess the cheese buttons are pretty popular! We each decided to get some dessert to go. He grabbed a slice of carrot cake, which was pretty yummy, and I decided on the berry pie, which I've yet to have (that may end up being breakfast!). The best part of the meal is when the check came. Knowing we had a really great meal, our tab that came to just shy of $40, was a steal! I go here at least twice a week. The best breakfast in Tracy period. The service staff are friendly and food comes out fast . The chorizo and eggs is to die for. Four Corners - Good food, reasonable prices, homey atmosphere, more wholesome than fancy. Breakfast offers lots of choices and large portions. Lunch is reasonably priced and the food is fresh. My favorite is the lobster sandwich. The tuna melt is a close second. Dinners are very fairly priced for all that you get. The selections are more or less a reflection of mid-western Americana. There's the mandatory chicken fried steak, fish 'n chips, and such. But you can also get a decent steak. The little salad bar is kept fresh and has enough selections to bring me back for seconds. Basically a very good neighborhood eatery. The food is tasty, the staff is friendly, and the prices are fair. What's not to like? Oh, lest I forget. The pie is fine, very fine! read more

I love this place! I have been coming here for as long as I can remember, seriously since I was a kid. The entire restaurant staff is so nice and take the time to stop and chat. My personal favorite for breakfast are their biscuits! I'm not a gravy person, so I like to get them plain. But my daughter says their gravy is awesome!!! For lunch I recommend their prime rib sandwich if it's available or their tri-tip dip. Linquica sandwhich too! Yum!! LOVE this restaurant! The restaurant itself is not the prettiest. It's dark and very old. BUT it has been clean the many times we've gone for breakfast. The service is great when it is not busy. We once went on a Sunday around noon and it was super busy, which meant we waited a while for food and drinks. I can't knock any stars off for that because really it wasn't the servers fault. Normally they are fast and more social. Beth is a sweetheart! Now the food! I must recommend the Cinnamon Rolls! Omg they are to die for!!! Homemade, soft, sweet, and buttery!!! Fat girl like myself absolutely LOVES them! The only problem is they run out of them fast! So you've gotta get there early in order to get one! We normally order the Chicken fried steak meal. We have been to the Four Corners for breakfast, lunch and dinner and all three meals were amazing. The establishment is very small but it is clean and the food is amazing. I was excited when I saw online that they offered eggs Benedict's! It's hard to find a place that serves that around here. So I've decided to make the 40 min drive out there for it. When I walked inside, I was not greeted at all considering the place was pretty much dead. I wasn't sure if I should stand and wait to be seated or if I should seat myself. After waiting for a few minutes without being acknowledge or getting any help, I sat myself down at the closest table and waited. Time goes by and no waitress or anyone has approached me. I sat there for a good 10 mins and it's become obvious that I was invisible to the worker at the bar and the staff in the kitchen. I can clearly see the cook in the back peering out to look at me a few times but still, no service. Even after all that, I thought I'd still give them a chance but when the cook pulls out a bag of candy to munch on in the back kitchen while handling food, I've pretty much had it and grabbed my stuff and just left. The environment is horrible. The customer service is horrible. As a person of color, it's hard to not have that thought cross my mind but now reading the other comments, they clearly didn't want me there. AND as for Food wise? I wouldn't know. read more

The food is nice and they have reasonable prices. All of the food reminds me of a home-cooked meal. I'm reminded of the story of Goldilocks... It's not bad, it's not the best I've ever had either, but it's just right. The service is polite and they try to remember your order from your previous visits.Often the restaurant is not crowded and you'd think you'd get a lot of 1:1 attention, but that's not so, unfortunately. But if you're not shy, it's never a problem to get up and grab the hot-sauce off the supply table, or walk up and ask for what you need. That really doesn't bother me, but to others it may appear negligent. The one warning I must stress is: Don't sit in the over-flow room, it's the land of the forgotten! Why this is so, I have no idea. But it's consistently overlooked and I always find myself wanting/needing something... even the bill. Overall, I still like to go often. Came back for a second visit this past week and I'm impressed with the consistency, this really is a nice little hole in the wall with some good home style cooking. Came in this time with 6 others, was promptly shown to a table, and after a few minutes finally got some service (they can get a little hectic around lunch). Food was very good this time around as well, I got the cajun chicken sandwich while most of my coworkers got some type of burger or the other. This little spot has been on my list to try for some years. The wife and I stopped by today 11/10/12 for lunch. We walked in and seated ourselves. A gal came over after a bit and took our orders. I started with a slice of peach pie and followed it with the lobster sandwich and onion rings with a coke. My wife ordered the club sandwich and fries. I kept looking for a reason to critique the food but instead found a perfect little meal. The pie was homemade and delicious, the sandwich (although imitation lobster) was delicious, onion rings were perfectly done and had no excess oil left on them and finally the fountain coke tasted like a coke out of a glass bottle. I was pleasantly surprised at the perfect mix out of a fountain machine as most places I go to is either tart or flat. We will be going back tomorrow for breakfast. read more

I wish I would have gotten the same service and the same chef as everybody else who seems to rave about this place had. We want here on a Sunday morning the place seemed sorta dead. I had The eggs Benedict and it was hands down the worst I have ever had. My eggs were harder than even a hard boiled egg should be. When I had mentioned this to the server she just sort of scoffed and continued to walk away from us. My friend had a scramble which had absolutely no flavor to it what so ever. I'm not sure why there is such a difference in the food and service that most people seem to get but this definitely is a place I would not recommend to anyone read more

Great place for a good dinner. Large portion sizes, friendly service and a good meal. Cheeseburgers are great, the buns they use are so fresh and soft. They offer original French fries or air fried French fries which are excellent. Salad bar is always good and well stocked. Dinner plates come with soup and salad. They have a nice selection of home made cakes or pies and have a daily special. The dining room fills up quick on weekends so expect a little slower service. I should give it five stars for being the best "local eatery" that I have ever encountered -- bar none. And I've been a foodie for about a zillion years! Service is very friendly, but somewhat slow due the the fact that every seat is taken! The secret? Eat at the counter! Anything you want, from burger to prime rib. On my new diet (sort of like Atkins) I had two delicious burger patties served over a green salad. The food was not very good, the hash browns were very bland and kind of burnt, the sausage and eggs were pretty average, the pancakes were grainy and not very tasty and the biscuits were dry while the gravy was too runny and lacked substance and flavor.
