I have always wanted to try this place and I'm so glad I did. The food was amazing and so fresh. We ordered lobster and had the option to go the tank and choose which lobster we wanted, so my kids choose the biggest one in there. The servers were such a great help helping them pick the best one. Overall the experience was great and the food was all delicious. My favorites were the crab fried rice and lobster. I will definitely come back but the next time I'll bring my own sauce. Dine- in: Saturday 5/20/23 7:30p Stopped by Four Guys Oc Lau Quan for dinner. We ordered several seafood dishes to try. Couple of the dishes taste alright, the rest doesn't seem fresh. For example, the Stir Fried Sweet Tamarind Spotted Escargot and Grilled Buttered Peppercorn Sea Whelks have a stench to it and it's so hard to get it out of it shell. The Crab Fired Rice is my favorite, it have that wok taste with crispy crunch to it. The service staff are very helpful in answer any questions you might have regarding on the type of seafood/sauce and recommendations. Restaurant is fairly empty for Saturday night. FYI, the menu is mostly seafood, so keep that in mind if you are vegetarian or allergic to seafood. Overall, foods are average with several dishes need to be improve on the quality of freshness. Very expensive. Be ready to spend a lot of money. My family came here for lunch for my Moms birthday over the weekend. The restaurant was clean and their menu had a wide range of seafood options. The food came out fairly quickly which is a plus. Everything we ordered was delicious! I really enjoyed the crab fried rice and fried lobster. The lobster was $36 per pound incase anyone is wondering. The lobster in the photo was 3.2lbs. I also ordered another one to go because it was so good! The presentation for all the dishes we ordered were beautiful. The service here is good. It wasn't really busy and whenever we needed something it was brought to us. The hot pot came at the very end when everyone was already full and done eating. Also because maybe our table had too much food already and no room. We needed up taking half of it to go. I visited Four Guys Oc Lau Quan on Saturday, January 23, 2021 around 5:30 pm. Establishment was very diligent with the COVID-19 precautions - advising to use hand sanitizer before entering the dining area and enforcing to wear masks. At first glance of the menu, I thought it was impressive and overwhelming for their wide range of seafood dishes and options. However, I felt like the menu could be condensed so that only one type of dish is indicated, then list the available options/preparations in a subtext. But that's just me being OCD. My favorite dish that I ordered was oc giac xao sate (B24). The conch was fresh and was cooked well. The sate seasoning really elevated the dish and it was presented very nicely. My least favorite were the two fried rice dishes with crab and salted fish (E1 and E3). Honestly, for a seafood restaurant, I expected some big seafood flavors in the fried rice, but I was underwhelmed with how little seafood was in the actual rice. They might as well be called "bland fried rice with sprinkled seafood." The goi tien vua oc giac (A2) was pretty bad. The flavors were okay, but there were way too much taro crisps than tien vua. Besides that, there were also stingy with the conch. This dish might as well be called "Taro crisps with tien vua and conch in mind" The cua xao me (D5) didn't taste fresh and the crabmeat was difficult to crack from the shell as the crab was old. read more

We drove from Orlando to Duluth GA just to try out this place that my friend mentioned once to us. We love authentic Vietnamese food because, we are Vietnamese lol. There is a oc and lau restaurant in Orlando as well but when we came here... portions are larger, service is much more respectful and traditional, all the dishes were very flavorful and traditional.. lemongrass Nuoc nam, Vietnamese green dipping sauce, all the escargot options. We ordered a couple of razor clams (they were delicious and flavorful) but also ordered a fried rice to fill us up. Every time we come to Atlanta we always have to stop by here to get our seafood fix. Vietnamese style seafood seasoning . This place reminds me of the OC restaurant in Cali. Everything I had was fresh. Dungeness crab brought out to you to look before they take it to the cook . The price is reasonable for fresh seafood. The crab fried rice was a hit in our group. I've been wanting to try this place for the longest. Did that tonight, and it did not disappoint. We were greeted and sat promptly even though the restaurant was full. We were sat at in a booth in the corner next to the window as the sun was setting. Direct sunlight was hitting my eye and there were no blinds...but my friend switched spots with me so it was fine haha. So I wouldn't sit facing the window if you go around that time. Anyhow, we ordered the whole grilled calamari first. Reviews that I read before said it was very good but I thought it was just okay. It came with sriracha and hoisin sauce but the green sauce they give you in a little sauce cup goes with it way better. I ended up using that green sauce only. It was so good. Next came the the grilled buttered whole conch. Wow. The charred flavor on it was simple but amazing. We got the chili paste giant clam also and it had a great flavor to it. Grilled prawn skewers were last and it was hot, fresh, and huge. I ate it with the shell on and it was delicious and crispy. Our server was nice and the bussers always took our empty plates immediately. They were very good at keeping our table clean and emptying plates. I will definitely come here again to try out more items. They have a plethora of unique seafood items. Wide selection on their menu. I really wanted to try the razor clams but they were sold out. I was glad that we have a Oc & Lau place here since I really liked the one in CA. I'm not trying to compare but the foods are lacking flavor here IMO. The coconut snails were bland & the clam dishes were super sandy. I mean, it's a good place to Nhau (Vietnamese word for drinking, eating & socializing together) especially if you're craving for seafoods & hotpot but don't want to travel far. Their menu can be overwhelming tho. LOL Parking is relatively easy since it's in a huge plaza. They're super busy on the weekends so don't expect excellent/attentive services. A lot of seafood and sauces choices on the menu. I got B15, B25, C10, A6, A19, and B1. The tamarind and coconut sauce were my favorite. A lot of seating and great for larger groups. It is a little pricey for the portion served. Most of the seafood were fresh and bigger shell one was a little gamey/briney. Balut was perfect served with tamarind sauce. We were here on a Thursday night at around 8pm. The food was ok, not so great. Service was mediocre. We don't usually give bad review for any establishment but I have never been to a restaurant where 18% gratuity was added to a two people table. Not to mention, they don't even deserve that amount of gratuity because lack of professional since no one ever check back on us after all the food was out. Servers work with attitude. I have never experience that before and they do not even have it stated beforehand on the menu or anywhere else. Definitely not recommend and will not coming back. This is the place to be to nhau (eating and drinking while socializing) while eating oc (snail and shellfish) - a tradition in Vietnam! Snail/shellfish selection are endless, however there's other seafood too, as well as appetizers, fried rice/noodles and hot pot. Really wanted to try the hot pot because every table ordered one but I was not that hungry sadly. I did enjoy the razor clams, quail egg scallops and crab fried rice. Interior was very modern and clean. Pretty loud because of the music and most people were in larger groups and were drinking. There's a bar so drink menu was great! I guess I came at the right time bc I had a good experience. Wait time around 5pm on a Sunday was very short. We were seated almost immediately! Service was very nice to us, and the food we ordered was very satisfying. Very tasty and no complaints really. After months of seeing pics of their foods on social media, my sister convinced me to try this place because we had a "gift card" . Located in the same shopping center as A City Market previously known as Assi Market off Pleasant Hill. This restaurant is spacious which allows for larger parties. It's decorated with urban decor and old fashion radios. I loved the vibe when I walked in. The menu is a little bit exotic. I eat fancy but I have never seen a menu quite like this. We ordered the oysters for appetizer. It came out steamed, topped with peanuts and scallion sauce, and I added this lime green salsa to it. The oysters were absolutely amazing 5/5. For our entrees we ordered coconut curry escargots and crawfish fried rice. The escargots and curry combo were definitely delightful. Prob the best escargots that I've had. To my surprise, I enjoyed the crawfish fried rice very much also. There's not alot of places that can make a good seafood fried rice so I give kudos to 4 guys. The service was great. Can't complain. Been here so many times now cause when family comes to visit, this is the spot to take them to. Especially if they don't get a chance to eat Vietnamese clams often. There's so many delicious options! I love anything with scallions and garlic. I highly recommend the Crab fried rice to pair with the clams. Everything comes with a tangy green sauce, some limes and salt/pepper. That green sauce is the best and I could probably eat it with everything. Have no clue what it is but it's addicting. In addition to everything, they have beers! Huge plus since this is definitely beer food. It's a bit pricey but worth it since there's not other places in the area with this kind of food. read more

Today, we came out again during a rainy evening.(hotpot is perfect on the rainy day) We ordered tamarind balut, sate conch, half dozen of sashimi scallops, Thai hot pot, avocado durian, and sugarcane pickled lime. Their food are consistently good. There is no bad or good day. They are always good to me and I eat the same dishes everytime, so I can easily tell if something does not taste right. Their customer service is better than most vietnamese restaurants that I had gone to. The waiter checked on us and made sure our table is clean. It was not crowded today probably due to the rain. The place was decent considering the fact that they are in the 'exotic' and 'seafood' category. The staff were attentive, came and checked on us throughout our meal, came to empty the plates with the shells and any wasted (napkins, straw wrapped, etc) regularly. The overall experience was very positive and I would definitely return and try other items on the menu. One reduced star due to the different pricing in the receipt vs on the menu for the pitcher of beer we ordered. The menu says $14, but the receipt says $15. I was worried due to all the reviews but I think you have to really give this place a chance. 1/1 for decor - very clean, modern, and simple decor. 1/1 for service - I'm guessing they had better staff training since the last reviews I saw. The staff was super friendly. They were constantly running around and checking on everyone. My food came out super quick but I just ordered all the shellfish dishes. Some of the tables around me were complaining about the hot pot taking 30 mins, which the staff apologized for and rushed to get it done. 2/3 - Everything we ate was actually pretty good. The flavors were there. It's just that some of the shellfish were a little over cooked so it was chewy. Also some of the snails were very slimy and they smelled. But the sauces were super tasty so it accommodated. I think this place is heading in the right direction. They just need some practice. They are a very new, recently opened restaurant. I will start off saying that a lot of my friends hyped up the location in LA with high hopes this location will meet those expectations. I have never been or tried this type of Vietnamese seafood cuisine. Overall, I give it a 4. We only waited about 10 minutes for a table, and were at the restaurant a total of 90 minutes. A lot of the dishes we ordered had the same base taste. My favorite was the tamarind blue crab. Sweet taste to it. It isn't blue crab season, so the 2 crabs on the plate were really small. The crawfish was also tamarind flavor, but the flavor was only on the outside of the crawfish. I ordered a crushed avocado drink, but they gave me the avocado durian. For those of you that don't know what durian taste/smells like ... it has a strong distinct smell. They kindly remade my drink. The swirly escargot was quite slimy. Not sure if it needed to be cooked more or if that is just how swirly escargot is like. (I've only had the rounded ones). I liked the coconut sauce. Poured it over my crab fried rice at the end. They used real crab in the fried rice, not imitation. (My friend said the LA location's coconut sauce is more flavorful and has more lemon grass, but again I wouldn't know the difference). Mango conch salad was refreshing and came out almost immediately. Blood cockle clams were hard to open. Taste of blood cockle is different than regular clams. I prefer regular clams after trying blood cockle. Razor clams were better than I expected. They came out cold, so my friend sent it back for them to warm up. It was still tender after. Not pictured: Vietnamese wings were on the saltier side to me. I am assuming because of the fish sauce. Not horrible, but not my style. read more

We were placed at a table and given utensils and bowls but were left waiting for at least 30 minutes. No one came to check on us or at least let us know that service would be slow. Not even to ask us if we wanted drinks. We even made it aware that we needed to be served and they told us to wait.
