    Freezer burned but edible.

Slow day at Sky Harbor so you think service would've been acceptable. Nope. Super slow. Brew pubs typically have great food. Nope. Not this place. If you are stuck at the airport the by all means. Stop in. If you can go anywhere else in the world. Do that.

Stopped in while waiting for a flight. Food is ok. You order by scanning the QR at your table. There was no wait & we were seated quietly. Ordered the quesadillas and an IPA. It gets pretty busy. There's enough space to put our carryon and backpacks.

    An inedible breakfast

Ordered, paid, waited for an hour....for this. It was actually inedible. The potatoes smelled like rancid oil. The eggs were brown. Skip this place at all costs.

Very slow service, food came out fast, really fast. Way too fast The over easy eggs were crispy and dry, the "breakfast potatoes" are just cold tater tots, and the toast nothing but warm bread and two whole slices of yesterdays bacon For the price I would have expected at least decent food

    $18.35 oatmeal and coffee.

Hectic airport restaurant. Use QR codes exclusively. 7 thin slices of bananas and 1/4 cup walnuts, honey and brown sugar with $12 oatmeal. $5 fresh and tasty coffee, bit at 7 am any coffee tastes good. Breakfast stops at 10 and they stick to the closing time!

This place was packed at the airport. I just sat at a booth looking table. Took maybe 15-20 mins for the food to come out, not a bad time for how packed it was. The burger was cooked to my liking and the chips were good. The fries were ok, a little crispier would have been perfect. There wasn't anything that really stood out, we grabbed our quick bite and head to our gate after. Nothing negative to say about our visit.

This is the second l've been here. Love it. Great spot. Great beers. Sports. Music. Great service! Got a turkey club to go this time so I'll have to check back in. The only downfall is they close at 10pm. I don't blame them. I appreciate everything and am pleased to hit a brewery in an airport. Thank you

Again I chose this spot in gate area A 22 Early this time so we had breakfast. I don't remember Being here 3 years ago. The areas were all grubby, no bus boys. Waitress has to do it all. Returned my Salt Shaker with dead black bug with legs intact. No apology. The bacon was the best, toast wouldn't melt my butter pat and the potato's were square white and brown things. Potato taste was there. It's the only one of four spots that have breakfast. Kind of limited choice. They only serve Pepsi Products. So Maybe next trip , I'll get a boxed sandwich and a diet Coke. Still ha 50.00 breakfast for 2. Credit cards only.

Pretzel double cheese burger w bacon and fries

Positives: Beers on tap, the KiltLifter is always satisfying. Some food items are better than many of the reviews posted would lead one to believe. Nothing wrong with the fry team today, the fish and chips were very good. The pretzel burger was ok, as expected for airport food, not cooked to order but served with a hearty pretzel bun and good fries. Service was attentive and prompt, server noticed needs for second soda for my partner and extra tartar sauce for the fish. Seating is cramped along the walls but there is space at the tables for those with delay/layover to relax a little. Plenty of TVs to watch sports while you wait and the music is not too loud. Negatives: the person at the check in stand was short tempered and put out by our request not to sit at one of the cramped tables along the walls even though there was ample space at the tables in the center of the floor.

Enchiladas Verdes with eggs, beans, avocado, & potatoes

Stopped in on a layover! The good things: Service was friendly & quick! I was completely in and out within 20 minutes, even with the restaurant packed; so I definitely recommend stopping in on a layover. Portion size was large & very filling. The bad-ish things: The food was bland. It looks a lot better than it tastes The "salsa" tasted like it was just ketchup with some peppers and onions blended into it. The potatoes were cooked well, but were completely unseasoned. The salsa verde on my enchiladas was "thick", and tasted canned. Overall, the food was what I would call "bland, but not bad", because it was edible, and they had salt and pepper at the tables. The tables are tightly packed together, so I felt like I was basically eating my meal with the people next to me.

Everything was really tasty and well balanced, nothing too sweet or too salty. Our favorite was definitely the Pasty. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the crust was flaky and so good. This was our first time here and it was such a nice surprise. Cozy spot, good food, good drinks, and friendly service. We'll definitely come back to try more.

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more George and Dragon Pub 4240 N. Central Avenue Phoenix, 85012 Companion and I were hungry and I had a craving for English style fish and chips. Where else to go but to a pub! We arrived at 6:40 in the evening and seated ourselves as is the custom. While many of the tables are hightops, we chose a regular table off to the side. First was an appetizer of Curried Chips along with NA Guinness to wash it down. The chips were like mashed potatoes in the center and crispy on the outside. Along with the authentic curry to dip them in, it was deliciousness on a plate. On to the main dishes. Companion ordered Bangers and Mash. Excellent tasting sausages served over mashed potatoes in traditional style. Companion loved it but was unable to finish it. For myself, I had my Fish and Chips that I was craving. 2 large pieces of cod perfectly fried in a beer batter coating. Served over a pile of perfect chips and accompanied by malt vinegar I was back in the U.K. Only problem was that it was served with a side of English peas instead of mushy peas like one would get overseas, but one can't be too choosy. Of course, we had to have dessert. There is always room for dessert! Companion ordered Toffee Pudding with Hot Custard sauce and I ordered the Bread Pudding. The toffee was chewy and sticky as it should be and the hot custard sauce added just the right touch. My bread pudding was in dense slices as is proper in the U.K.. I stole some of companions Hot Custard to put on it and it was wonderful. This was an excellent dinner which brought back memories of pubs in the U.K. The only thing missing off the menu was a Ploughman's Lunch, but not enough people would order it I think. Service and cleanliness were up to par. It's worth noting that on Sundays they have Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding. I can't wait! 5 stars

As the game ended, it was announced over the intercom that customers were free to take the flags hanging from the ceiling. Naturally, people began grabbing them. A man with a gray beard, who claimed to be one of the owners of the bar, started yelling, "Stop acting like animals!" at the customers. There is a respectful and professional way to address people without insulting them, especially when everyone was simply responding to what had just been announced. Otherwise, no one would have started taking the flags in the first place. He then walked over to my fiancé and forcefully ripped a flag out of my fiancé's hands, nearly knocking her to the ground. He also grabbed another customer from behind in a highly inappropriate manner and pulled him down, putting him at risk of falling. What an unexpectedly fun night!…read more I honestly had no idea what I was walking into when a friend told me I had to check out Bikini Lounge because they know I'm drawn to all things eclectic. They were absolutely right. From the moment the friendly bouncer smiled and said, "Step right on in," I was hooked. Yoooow!! The first DJ was incredible. He was spinning all kinds of trip-hop, indie, electronic, and remix-style tracks that had everybody partyin'. It wasn't your typical dance music, but every song seemed to connect with somebody in the room. The crowd was incredibly diverse, and it was so much fun watching people of every age and style dancing and nobody cared. The second DJ, a younger woman, shifted the vibe a bit and leaned more toward a younger crowd. It wasn't quite my style, so I took that opportunity to grab a seat at the bar and do what I apparently do best... chat with complete strangers. I'm a talker, and thankfully they seemed just as happy to strike up a conversation. This isn't some fancy cocktail lounge, and that's exactly the point. It's authentic. There were people dancing at the bar, grooving in their booths, bouncing in their seats, and filling the dance floor with great energy. I came by myself, and within minutes a cool group of strangers invited me to squeeze into their booth like we'd all come together. That's the kind of place this is. At one point they even offered me a glass of beer from their pitcher. I politely declined (look at me making responsible life choices... sometimes), but then I realized almost everyone had pitchers! So I sauntered over to the bar. I did have to wait a bit; apparently chivalry doesn't extend to letting a woman cut the line, but once I reached the bartender, the service was fast and friendly. Every trip back to the bar was the same. No complaints there. As the night went on, the energy just kept building. Before I knew it, I was on the dance floor sweating, smiling, and dancing with complete strangers. After a while, I had to retreat to the patio just to catch my breath before heading back in for more. My ankles are still sore... and the glutes? Fuhgetabouttit! The best part of the night wasn't the music or even the drinks. It was the people. Every generation was represented. Every fashion style imaginable. Every personality. And somehow it all worked. There was this genuine sense of joy and community that you just don't find everywhere. If you're looking for polished and upscale, this probably isn't your spot. But if you want great music, a welcoming crowd, zero pretension, and one of those nights where you leave happier than you arrived... give Bikini Lounge a shot. I went in not knowing what to expect. I left wondering why I'd waited so long to go.

But, if you're looking for a really cool bar, KWSC is for you. I stopped by on a week day evening around 8:30 p.m. Located in Roosevelt Row, while there isn't parking, I found free parking on the street a few minutes away on foot. Ambiance (4.5/5): My type of spot. Dimly lit with a speakeasy vibe. There are eight or so seats at the bar, and the rest of your seating options consist of comfortable chairs and sofas. You'll see a lot of photos of people's bums on the walls lol. This is indeed part of the appeal. For free, if you would like, they will take a polaroid of your butt and memorialize you eternally on the walls. While I didn't do that, if that's up your alley, go for it. Service (2/5): This is the main area of improvement. After being seated, I was greeted promptly and got my first cocktail promptly. From there, things fell apart. I had to grab the bartender's attention to order my second drink and to close out. It was a week day and they weren't busy. And there were two bartenders. A lack of attentiveness. When I closed out, I noticed that the cocktails were both $2 more expensive than what was listed on the menu. When I inquired, I was told that the menus were outdated... umm what? If you're not going to re-print your menus, give people a heads-up when they arrive. I understand that most people won't notice, but this is deception. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet. If you're trying to eat here, all they have is snacks. The menu doesn't specify but I'm thinking it's probably chips or somethign like that. Drinks (4/5): A lengthy, and interesting, cocktail list. Similar to a speakeasy, you're going to see creativity and an interesting blend of flavors here. The most popular drink is Fuck Nazis. We're seeing a theme here. KWSC is an interesting spot. For various dollar amounts, you can get funny things outside of the polaroids of your bum. My first cocktail was great. My second one, a tiki drink, not so much. The menu said that there would be some flame action happening. It didn't. Just another example of the service falling short. If the service were better, Killer Whale Sex Club would easily be a five-star experience.

Back then, the cocktails felt intentional and creative, not just rushed out for volume. The staff remembered regulars, conversations flowed naturally, and the whole place had this warm, eclectic energy that made you want to stay for hours. Even on busy nights, it somehow still felt personal. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, the vibe has changed quite a bit. The drinks just aren't as consistently good as they used to be, especially considering the prices now. Service feels far more transactional and impersonal, and the atmosphere that once made this place stand out has faded into something much more generic. It feels less like a neighborhood gem and more like a stop on a nightlife circuit.

A bowl of this soup costs $7.50, Vegetarian, and Available Gluten-Free (+$1). Imagine sliced leeks, starchy potatoes, butter, broth, Stilton English cheese, and heavy cream. How can you go wrong with this? Sitting at the bar with my friend, I didn't want beer. I didn't want a pasty. It was just this soup and me. When he returned with another glass of water, he slammed it down in front of her and claimed he was the manager. Moments later, another employee came over saying he was actually the manager and that the first employee was just a barback, but he was just as rude and unprofessional. To top it all off, as we were leaving, staff flipped us off. We've never experienced such disrespect from employees over a simple and reasonable question about something that appeared to be in a drink. The hostility, lack of professionalism, and complete disregard for a legitimate safety concern made this an experience we won't be repeating.
