Our group had poke nachos and beet salad for appetizers. Both were excellent and a must try. Our dishes were California burger, truffle burger, turkey blt sandwich and the Ruben. Everyone was happy with each entree we got. Fresh ingredients, the burgers were solid. The crème brûlée was excellent too. The nutmeg on top worked so well with it. We each chose flights of wine to accompany our entrees. Despite including three wines per flight, the pours were fairly generous. Our dishes were perfectly prepared and came out more quickly than we expected, considering that the place was almost full. Our server checked back just enough and took care of any special requests promptly, even offering to exchange one of the wines (out of six!) that we didn't like for something better suited to our taste. The pace was leisurely which was fine given the good food and wine accompanied by the relaxed vibe of the live music. And the prices were quite reasonable given the quality of both the food and service. A dark-ish old school atmosphere added to its charm for us Baby Boomers, but even younger diners seemed to be enjoying themselves. As for us, we highly recommend it!

The food, however, was outstanding and was definitely the highlight of the evening. Every dish we ordered was well-prepared and delicious. Service was a mixed experience. While our server was polite, the service was quite slow throughout the meal, despite the restaurant being fairly empty at the time. Overall, the excellent food helped make up for some of the service issues, but the rude greeting and slow service took away from what should have been a memorable anniversary dinner. I hope management addresses these concerns, as the kitchen is clearly doing a great job.

Here though they provide red onion, cucumbers, slivered almonds, tomatoes, etc. I also love their house vingerette. We had to ask for menus, and it took quite a while for someone to take our order. In fact, the bartender ended up taking our order because no server had come by. At about 7:00 they came to take our plates off our table that were staged when we sat. I mentioned we haven't received our chicken appetizer and she said "oh yah sorry it's coming" but still walked off with the appetizer plates to put the chicken on. Our food didn't arrive until about 7:10 p.m., and one of the meals was completely incorrect. On top of that, our food came out at different times instead of being served together. The portion sizes were surprisingly small for the price point. I ordered the Mahi tacos, which had only a small amount of fish and slaw, although each taco did include a generous amount of avocado. My husband's Hawaiian BBQ which he added Kalbi beef was also a very small portion and didn't feel worth the $36 price tag. We were so hungry that we didn't even get to take photos. The hostess was very enthusiastic about clearing our table and was attentive in that regard. Lily, our server, was kind and pleasant, and honestly, I felt sorry for her because she appeared to be the only waitress working. We had to ask for our check at the end of the meal, but Lily did comp our chicken wings because of the service issues, which was appreciated. Overall, the prompt seating was a good start, but the slow service, incorrect order, staggered food delivery, and small portions relative to the prices made for a disappointing dining experience. While Lily did her best, it seemed like the restaurant may have been understaffed.
