This place is a joke. They don't know what they are doing and will give you headaches. I spent almost 10k here to have them install the turbocharger, intercooler, watermeth kit, and together with the tuning. The turbocharger and intercooler was installed with no issue, but the watermeth was failing an leaking so the inside of the car smelled methanol. Took it back so they can fix it but after a couple week it was leaking again. The tuning is a nightmare. They worked with this guy named Kyle (@kyletunedit)that did the tuning on my car and the car constantly went into limp mode when in wide open throttle or when under hard accelerations. They kept blaming it on the fuel system and that its not their fault. But I have tried to tell them that it is the tuning that doing all of that as i also knew a couple of people running the same upgrades without any limp mode problem. I spent an extra 5.5k with a different tuner and he was able to retuned my car remotely and never had any limp mode issue. The car was a lot smoother and much much more powerful than that guy Kyle's tune. Besides these headaches, they also damaged my car's front bumper and rear diffuser that I newly bought and installed. I tried asking them to partially refund me the tuning portion as it had failed miserably and the damages that they caused to my car's cosmetically so i can get it repaired but James the owner would not willing to do so. He told me to ask that kyle guy for refund but I told him that it is his responsibility not mine because he chose him to be their tuner and worked with him directly. This place is a joke don't waste your time and money here. IT's more like you have to look at their negative reviews and see what others have to say about them. IT is very accurate! So I have a mk6(2010) GTI. It's FBO with a K04 upgrade so I need to use specialized shops, as the last time I didn't I ended up in small claims court due to their stupidity. I recently split with a tuning shop I had been using and was in the market for a new one. Four seasons had many good reviews, and the negatives seemed to be people who didn't fully understand the dynamics of an internal combustion engine too well. Fast forward a few weeks and gear 4 and 6 on my car start grinding. I skipped those gears and immediately called four seasons. James talked to me and gave me the "least amount cost to split the case and check". Transmissions are always a pain as it's labor intensive, so I was stressing. I could afford the removal and split, but the fault may make or break the bank for me. Verdict is in, Input shaft basically sheared teeth off a gear. Bad day. The input shaft needs to be replaced. I'm looking at $900 for the cheapest shaft through VW, but they don't even have any in the states atm. James referred me to a shop who could hook me up with a good used whole transmission. Seeing as a brand new one would be $4k+ and the shaft was gonna be a ton of money, I opted to try it. They were very nice (they are fast VW for reference) and we're actually headed to orange the next day. Said he could sell me a tranny and deliver it for free. $800 later I had a new transmission. Waiting for them to let me know it was fixed I was stressed. I was thinking case split, plus labor, plus tranny, were all going to come out to a ballpark of 4k or so. Not good for me. When James called me back he gave me a cost way less than expected. I was thinking it was just the new labor cost on top of the case split. I was wrong. James informed me that since they couldn't fix the original issue, it was unfair for them to charge full price. They rearranged some things and the repair ended up being less than the case split and diagnosis. Most shops will not do that for you. I admire their work ethic and they really don't know how much it means to me that they worked with me. They have earned a new customer and I hope anyone reading this will see the value of their service. Thanks to James and the four seasons crew. Ps- had a busted light, James sees it and casually walks in the shop, walks out with the exact light I need and says "$100?". If you know vw parts the oem lights are $300 and aftermarket's are hard to find. He also gave me some trim pieces he had lying around he didn't need. Good set of guys. read more

Super stoked on my 4 motion R-Line Tiguan. I have used these guys in the past. And I wanted the new Tiguan cuz I love the way it looks and I love the 4motion. But the engine was such a dog. After they put my APR tune in and CAI, I couldn't be more happy. Now the car drives as good as it looks. Great work in a timely manner. I will definitely use them again!!!! read more

Apparently other people have had better luck than me here. Took my 01 passat 1.8t here a few years back for a stage 2 tune. Had already upgraded exhaust and intake per reccomendations and intercooler was next. They put the tune on for $500 and then my cruise control didn't work... took it back and they had put wrong gear shifting on so fixed that and had cruise control again. A month later I change my battery and I'm back to 7 psi (stock boost) after battery change instead of the 22 psi. Take it to them and ask them to reboot/fix it and they say it's all good so it must be my turbo. But I'm in luck!! They can replace it for $2,500!!! I go ahead and purchase an oem turbo online for $400 and have my mechanic replace it for $800 (less than half their price) and what do you know??? My old turbo was fine and I'm still sitting at 7 psi. This place is a joke and cost me $1,700 for nothing!!! read more

James is trustworthy and saved us thousands on my son's A4. Awhile back when our car was at the dealer for service I pointed out to the service advisor that there was some grit and grime around the area just above where we had replaced a fuel injector. Whatever caused it didn't appear to be an issue anymore but I wanted to know exactly what was going on. The dealer told us there was a leak in the head gasket and that we needed to replace it. The cost for this repair was going to be $2000 plus some other items amounted to a total of $3000. This didn't pass the smell test so I took the car to James. He said the head gasket was fine and didn't need replacing, adding that left over fuel had attracted dirt to this area. I can't recall the other suggested items but the car didn't need those either! We arrived expecting the worst and left after an oil and filter change. The dealer in Santa Ana lost a customer that day and James gained one. James and team now service our 2019 SQ5 as well. I just had a Sachs Racing clutch installed on my Mk7 GTI (after another highly esteemed OC VW and Audi shop put one in that had a six-puck disc and failed after 30K miles, really poor recommendation on their part!), and it was a flawless visit to the facility. The shop (if you can even call it that) Is a joke its a small hole in the wall. James was pretty smartass to me and seemed to be trying to up sale me every which way he could. Just wanted to update - I took my car in on 12/7/2015 for the APR TCU flash. James was once again very helpful via email and he was able to make time to flash my car. I took it in and it was flashed in no time. After the flash though I initially didn't like the TCU flash at all, but I soon found out that during the flash my ECU got put on the stock mapping so it drove really poorly. Probably a byproduct on APR's flashing software. Luckily I was testing out valet mode and when I changed it back to stage 1 it drove like a dream - lived up to all the hype. Outstanding service. I had the misfortune of sacking my 2016 GTI in the nuts with a money $hift. South Coast wanted 8,100 of my jabronies for fixing a broken rocker and to replace my tranny. Tech and service writer basically told me that they opened my transmission case up and saw my syncros grinded harder than any middle school kid at a school dance has ever grinded. James and Adrian heard of my situation and took at look at my car. They took care of me and nursed my car back to health. They let me know that the transmission doesn't seem to have any sort of mechanical hemorroides ( my words) what's so ever. They welcomed me into the VW world. 10/10 service. Had a great experience with FourSeason Tuning - James and his crew flashed my car from a competitor software of their product line they carry from United Motorsports. I can't believe how different the vehicle is before and after, both on stage 2 tunes. Tons more power, logging lower temps in oil, IAT's and transmission as well. They kept me up to date with the progress of the work and made good recommendations on other issues they found to address or parts to use. Whoever that guy before me is insane. I haven't had any negative experiences with 4season. I'm a noob MKV GTI owner coming from the BMW world and was referred there by a buddy. James and his team go over every part of my car with me, educate and always tell me the honest truth for their recommendations as it goes with my budget. If a part is not quality he isn't going to blow smoke up your ass just to sell it to you. If that is being smartass, then you are too sensative. Aside from that, if he can't match the price on something, he isn't going to get his feelings hurt that you bought it somewhere else (as I scavenge all of the forums).
