Looks like they changed their name to four teason? Their drinks on the menu are very unique. Not something you can usually find in other boba places. Their drink is good!

Yummy!!!! I will be returning soon! We got the Black Sesame Knight and Frozen Coconut with lychee and popping bobas. I recommend getting lychee or the popping bobas with any frozen drink as they are small sweet bursts of flavor. The frozen coconut was delicious and even better with the bobas/lychee. Ordering is easy and great for custom drinks. Shop is cute and usually has seating available.

Muncho & my credit card says this place is Akira but there's a big sign in the front that says it's Four Teasons so maybe they're going through a name change or change in mgmt/ownership. I tried the red bean & mochi with coffee boba with 50% sugar. I was excited to taste the mochi but very disappointed as it was just very mushy. It's like a soggy unsweetened mushy marshmallow. Not sure it's supposed to taste like that but I expected mochi that's chewy in texture. It did not taste like mochi. I like the red bean & coffee boba was ok. Staff were friendly. Its small inside but there's seating inside & there were a few tables outside. I would come back to try the other drinks.

Milk tea is very bland. You can tell by the color. Feels like I'm drinking water and milk. I also specifically asked for more tea and less milk afraid this will happen. Couldn't finish the Takoyaki, it was mostly mayonnaise, tasted like store brought.

Their milk teas are very delicious and worth the wait. They are very generous with the crème brûlée walls and Oreo. I will definitely be back when my daughter is in town from college.

Pretty good! I had their taro milk with boba and tried a few sips of their strawberry mochi drink. The taro drink was just okay; could use a lot more taro as it tasted mostly like sweet milk. The strawberry mochi drink however was delicious! The texture of the drinkable mochi was amazing but a bit hard to get through the straw. Perfect sweet, fruity, and creamy drink. Some drinks lean more towards the expensive side but others are average priced. The tax here is pretty insane though. Minimal wait time when we came here on a Saturday night. They seem to sell authentic Chinese/Taiwanese snacks which I want to try. Inside is kept clean with some searing. Overall pretty solid spot.

One of my fav bbtea shops to get drinks and desserts from. Hubby go to is the Thai tea, I love the hulk and the black sesame tornado drink as well (can go wrong with creme brûlée in your drink) They have a Korean dessert that's a shaved of ice that is so delicious and it's called bingsoo. The portions are always so big and generous there I feel. And for the price you're paying you are definitely getting a deal and value here. The other fun dessert here is the different flavours egg waffles they have like green matcha tea with red bean, earl grey, and even black sesame flavour. If you want to step it up you can have it with ice cream and fresh fruit. There's different things for everybody caffeinated and non-caffeinated. They always have so many fun things to try, so check it out.

Excited to try their new selection of sago drinks, so now there are three locations in Davis with sago drinks. When you walk in, you order at the tablets (able to collect points through Muncho), able to still pay in cash at the front counter. More self serve, wasn't greeted when I came in. Went around 8pm, I ordered a mango pomelo sago, original egg puff, and a Oreo ice cream egg puff. The orders took about 20 - 25 minutes, there were two online orders, and two orders before me. Really good value for all the items. As for the items, the Oreo ice cream waffle cone ($10.95), contains scoops of ice cream and sesame paste, the cone also contains ice cream as well, so great if you want a variety of desserts. The ice cream puff is a lot, but egg puffs get soggy unfortunately. As for the mango pomelo sago ($5.50), pretty creamy, but I wished there more pomelo in the drink, definitely would get it again. Egg puffs ($5.60) lacked some flavor compared to other egg puffs I had. Might give it another try.

One of my top 3 boba places in Davis for the following: (1) Flavor is really good, not too sweet and adjustable sweetness levels that match your expectations; (2) Great selection, some more unique flavors and drinks like the purple rice drink (my favorite), their black sesame drink and honeydew smoothies are excellent as well; (3) Great selection of desserts, a great spot for bingsoo (Korean shaved ice dessert) and egg waffles! Came here for the first time today - flawlessly easy experience. I ordered from Muncho - chicken karage and brown sugar boba milk tea for my kid ($15ish total). It was ready for pickup just as it said it would be and parking was simple and easy right in front of the shop. The chicken was super light and tasty - not greasy at all. The boba was spot on! All in all, super pleasant experience and I will make it my new boba spot!

Just had the Akira milk tea with boba. It had good balance of tea flavor, not bitter, regular sweetness is perfect = not too sweet, and their boba has a good chew with a little sweetness. Something else to note, they don't put much much ice so the temperature was a little cooler than room temp, which is different from most places but quite pleasant to drink. Definitely recommended! read more

I went a couple more times and got the oolong milk tea with boba 75% sweetness. The first time the tea wasn't super sweet and the boba lacked flavor. The second time, the tea was the perfect level of sweetness and the boba was sweet and chewy-- I really liked it!! I guess the quality depends on who makes your drink, so just keep that in mind! read more

This place is phenomenal. I went there for the first time during picnic day of 2022, because this was the only milk tea shop in the area without a long line. I ordered a love tea off their menu, and in 15 minutes it was out. I took a sip and oh my god. It was so good i could feel my eyes start to water. It's a sweet strawberry milk tea with tiny heart shaped jelly's. Whenever i'm in the Davis area .. this is my go-to boba shop. This is a MUST try read more

I was in Davis for a moment and *had* to get boba specific to the area, but I'm not sure this place lived up to its high rating. Yelp isn't always right I guess! Taro Lover: 2/5 I realized I'm probably huge not fan of real taro in my drinks. It tasted like sandy mashed potatoes and the drink tasted kinda like watered down fat-free milk.. Had to toss- It wasn't worth the extra calories :( White Rabbit Macaron Ice Cream: 2/5 They carry a few different flavors of macaron ice creams in their mini-freezer and I was super excited to try this flavor!! IYKYK! Sad to say I was reminded more of frozen cool-whip if anything- not at all nostalgic. Anyone know a better contender?? Lots of room for improvement on service! If you are here, maybe go for the Akira Bomb instead? And check in on yelp for 1 free topping! read more

New and underrated Tea place in Davis. The way they make their drinks are better than those places that load their tea with sugar syrup such as T4, Lazi Cow, and the place downtown next to phils. Their menu is more on the simple side but they taylor each drink exactly how you like it. They even have you taste it in a little glass cup before they finalize the drink to make sure you are happy. read more

i enjoyed my experience here. i thought the menu had a good bit of variety and the teas are freshly brewed. additionally, i really liked how they had samples here for different teas which allows you to try something new you might not have otherwise. as for the boba itself, i thought it was pretty good. not anything that blew me away, but it was decent for boba. the place is pretty small and takes quite a bit of time to be made once you've ordered, but overall a great boba place to try in davis. read more

Having tried every one, This is the best Boba place in Davis. They have the usual menu items, plus some unique things that you won't find anywhere else, at least in town. I'm obsessed with their Galaxy milk tea + salt foam + crystal boba (side note: crystal boba is delicious and like nothing I've tried before). Not sure why this item isn't more widely advertised. It's only on Doordash and you have to ask for it, in store. Try this place!! read more

I love that they open early on the weekend before 11am. I could not find a single boba store open at 930am before our road trip, and somehow stumbled upon Akira. Shop is very cute and clean. It's not too crowded around this hour. Perfect to sit and relax on a Saturday morning. Drinks are standard and pretty good. We also got a marron cake. read more

First time coming to Akira and I can say I enjoyed my experience. They offer milk teas and coffee which gives you the best of both worlds. I ordered a mocha and can say it was delicious. Since they are new they don't have wifi just yet but the worker behind the counter said they are working on getting it. Overall, it's nice to have a small coffee shop like this in North Davis. Until the wifi comes up I would suggest bringing a book or hard copy study materials. It's a nice change of pace from the Peets and Starbucks variety in North Davis. read more

My favorite boba spot to date! I'm originally from the Bay Area and I've tried various boba shops in the East and South Bay and I haven't been as impressed as I am with Akira. Drinks are consistent and made with fresh ingredients. The boba here is always the right consistency (never hard or too soggy). Service is quick and efficient. The inside is clean and tidy, and they've taken effective safety measures throughout Covid (i.e. hand sanitizer readily available, online ordering). They also have unique, delicious drinks. Endless love is my go to! Cant recommend this spot enough. read more

Seen this place plenty of times when I go to the grocery store; never tried it until now. I got a peach green tea 50% sweet with boba and a Akira bomb (Brown sugar fresh milk). The green tea it self was okay, tasted like water. It might have tasted better at 100% sweet. The boba was decent, felt like it needed more honey. The akira bomb was good but a bit to sweet for me. Might come back for a second try. read more

I've been looking around for a bobba spot in the Davis area, and this has to be it! I've visited a couple places in the downtown area, however, we chose this place north of Davis. It's a really nice shop, modern and spacious. The customer service wasn't the best, the associates seemed limited speaking English but there wasn't a language barrier. The associate didn't say much, but the tea is honestly amazing. It takes a couple minutes to prepare, but it's worth it. 100% read more

Quick stop for coffee and boba. Covid requires either online ordering or tablet in the store with a request to wait outside. Totally ok with that. Got the drinks with zero human communication (its okay to say "Hi" or "thanks") but again, covid and grab and go is the new standard. Headed down the road with an iced Americano, Peach Green Tea Boba, and a watermelon smoothie. All tasted sub par, if not, all out "off". The Smoothie "tasted funny" and was way too sweet, same with the Green Tea boba. Adding sweetener is probably the second best thing they do here after the packaging. Which, everything is cute and fun and made to go. Im sympathetic to covid staffing issues, but things were slow, we came at 4pm. These were poorly made drinks. If i wasn't in the way up north i would have went back for a refund. Currently at dinner and telling all my friends how bad our experience was today. read more

My go to spot since it's nearby my apartment. Also, ordering through Yelp makes it super easy to pick up during these COVID times. I took my sister here (she lives in SF) and she loved it! I love that they have lychee jelly; they have a good selection of toppings. They always have my order ready within 10 minutes of ordering so make sure you order when you are nearby. They also never seem to have a line of customers waiting so I'd say they seem pretty efficient. I believe they sell food too but I've never tried. Only tried their boba drinks, but I come back for their boba pretty often. read more

Been here 3 times so far and every time has been a pleasant experience, great place to study(in the summer, not sure about during normal school year) and the drinks are fantastic. Genmaicha is my personal favorite with boba and crystal boba. Great service and great drinks with lots of snacks to choose from. Definitely recommend! read more

Very good boba. The drinks are amazing and close by to where i live. There is parking as well. One time i got this cold dessert and the packaging for to go was very very well done and packaged. It had a ice pack and packaged with cold friendly packaging. read more

My daughter and I ordered two different milk teas and we agreed that after you stirred the drink up it was basically just drinking milk. The mochi egg puffs were good. I also did not love that we didn't receive any sort of customer service. You order on the tablet (which is convenient, I guess) but we didn't receive any sort of greeting when we arrived or a thank you when our order was up. When you walk into a store, you shouldn't see all the back stock of supplies in the area you are ordering in. That's just tacky. I won't be returning. read more

After coming to this place a couple more times, this place grew on me…read more The bingsoo definitely lives up to its name. I got the mango bingsoo and boy do they pack it. The regular size is already enough to share amongst a couple of people, but they offer an even bigger size if you want. The mango always tastes ripe and fresh and the shaved ice is nice and creamy. The condensed milk on the side is a nice touch so you can adjust sweetness as desired. The mango is already sweet for me so I like to pour the condensed milk on the shaved ice instead. The ordering process is straightforward--either with a person or through a kiosk, and the interface on the kiosk is nice and organized. The inside is spacious with lots of seating as well as a little rec corner to play games and such. Will continue to stop by this place when I'm in the area!

Overall it was disappointing to feel like online orders were prioritized over the customers actually dining in, especially when the food quality didn't live up to the price. Seating is very limited and unfortunately it was extremely windy outside where we had to wait.

I think it would have been better if it were heated. This cafe is somewhat small. While there is a good amount of seating, it gets pretty packed in here. I'd say my biggest con of this cafe if you're drinking your coffee there are the seats and the lack of electrical outlets to charge your computer. The bar stools are pretty uncomfortable. I really could only sit the stool for about an hour. Since the stools didn't have a backrest, I started getting sore. I'd definitely get coffee here again.

Used to come here and buy 4-6 drink every time but after they hired a girl, who works for them, she really doesn't care about the customer. drink are always tooooooo sweeetttttt. I came pick up one time, and she didn't look at me or let me know which orders is mine.
