We went here with the kids for the first time and what a nice surprise! We walked in to a spacious, open entrance and the children immediately ran to the arcade. We went on the XD Dark Ride which was awesome! The games were fun and we enjoyed a nice lunch. We ordered the nachos and then pizza and the food was fresh and delicious. The bartender who served us was polite and engaging. We will definitely return to do some bowling and other activities. I love fourth dimension and I will continue to come back for the bowling and arcade. The food is alright (nothing special). I enjoy the arcade and bowling. Some of the staff could be more attentive (especially in the escape room). Some of the staff Is also not aware of the promos they are running (there are always Groupon-like products out) or how to input them in the cash register. My biggest recommendation is not waste your time or money on their escape rooms. The escape rooms are not well thought out or attended to. There are plenty of excellent escape rooms in the Frederick area, but this one was not very good. read more

CAVEAT EMPTOR! BUYER BEWARE! This is by far the worst barcade I have ever visited. My friends and I decided to explore this place last night as a possible hangout to grab a beer and some conversation with friends. After being told by disorganized, inattentive staff to figure out where to seat ourselves, my friends and I were left to find the least dirtiest table and prepare it ourselves to be suitable just to sit at. Then we sat and waited, and waited, and waited. After a literal 20 minutes, one of the staff members finally came by to ask if anyone had helped us. We told her, "No," and then waited another 20 minutes for a different girl to come by and take our orders. By this time it had been about an hour of asking for service, sitting, and waiting. Also, to add insult to injury, there are several signs posted prominently all around the dining area stating they add a mandatory 18% gratuity to all checks. So we waited and waited and waited. I received my drink last and it was very disappointing. I ordered a "Premium Signature Bloody Mary" because it was advertised as coming with several types of garnishes and top-shelf liquors. What I got was an ice-filled glass of watery tomato juice with no garnish or other ingredients as advertised. After about an hour and forty-five minutes, we were beginning to be served our food all at different times. The food was terrible. We're now about $50 into this overpriced shit-show experience and severely regretting our decision to ever patronize this place. We had to go to the bar ourselves during our meal and afterwards just to receive somewhat timely service. Then after the dismal dinner and drinks, we were let down again by the poor excuse of an arcade which was also very overpriced and highly underdelivered for the sheer amount of money they demanded for services. I left the night upset and apologizing sincerely numerous times to my friends for ever having suggested to come here. A night of my life and $100 I will never get back. If you are looking for affordable fun in an attentive service-oriented facility, then this place is NOT it! The place is in a weird area and not well marked. The food was okay. We had apps so that is not a real good judge if the quality. Beer selection is really good and tons of them. The speciality cocktails are $12.50 so that can add up quickly. The beer tower is worth it if there are three people having beers. The issue is the automatic 18% gratuity. On one beer tower which is $40 the tip is a little over $7. They come once and deliver it to the table. Nothing more.You pour the beers and they do not have to come around. Prices skyrocketed, I've ordered takeout a few times and it's near impossible to get someone to answer the phone. Today, I was just put on hold after trying and trying to get someone to answer and I was told to wait and a server would take my order. After several minutes, a server answered and said I can't place to go orders on weekends (which I've done before) and that I have to come in and order at the bar and then once I get my food ask the server to put it in a to go box. We're visiting from NY and our daughter suggested we go to Fourth Dimension for a fun day out of the house, and we were not disappointed!! The staff was very friendly, the food was good and the games were really fun! We capped off our time there with some bowling, which was lots of fun because we hadn't bowled in a long time....and it showed! LOL! By the time we left, 5 hours had passed, and so quickly! My visit was mediocre not to say horrible, upon arrival, and request to pay my reservation, the person at the counter charged me something totally different from what agreed previously. She said she wasnt able to refund the money to my card, and the only solution was for me to take a gift card of more than $100 from there (I was not planning on spending that amount but now I was forced to since there was no other option and I dont live near by). Then, they moved up my reservation an hour and when I said I could not take it since my party had not yet arrived, they said they would only be able to keep it for half an hour. Nobody even checked on us until we had to go to order at the counter (after aproximately 30 minutes) and the food was just average. When we still had time in the bowling alleys, they rushed us saying that they had more people waiting for their reservations and when asking where we could relocate she only said that she didn't know anything, that we had to go book a new table (the wait was 40 minutes) but that we had to leave the line because she had to clean. All this caused my party to leave the place, ruining my birthday. read more

If I could give no stars that would have been better. My cousin, her boyfriend and myself decided to drive the 1 hour and 20 minute trip to this place. We were playing the games and having fun. That isn't the issue. The issue was that no one was being waited on for food so we decided to get food. We waited about 25 mins before someone came to acknowledge us at the table. Even after the manager knew we were sitting there. So finally we got menus. Then we ordered our food about 10 mins later. We decided to just eat when food came and waited another 10 mins for our silverware to come to the table. While I was eating I realized that my food was old. It was also cold. So I let them know. Right after my cousin takes a bite of the coleslaw and instantly started gagging. She spit it out and smelled it and yes! It was also old and smelled very bad. We asked for the manager and he told "it smells like that because of the vinegar". As many years as I've been eating coleslaw I know the smell of something that's good and something that's bad. I told him to go eat it. And he refused. Needless to say, my cousin got sick and threw up all her food and they told us that the only thing they could do for us was take $2.00 off our bill. Wow! We (there were 15/16 of us!) had SO much fun here on Saturday morning for my daughter's bday, even though we didn't have a bday party reserved!! Ok, let me set the stage.. Rainy Saturday, 2:30 pm. We went because we were told the stone fired pizza was great. We were seated right away, drink order was taken, and a bit later we ordered our pizza. then waited... and waited... the pizza came out before the drink order was served, only one bartender and she was busting her ass! The pizza looked and smelled great. But... The pizza was rushed and way under cooked. I could still stretch the dough. We could barely get through the first slice. We ordered a second round of drinks when the pizza was served, they came out quickly but one drink was not what was ordered. Our server, Rowan was one of 2 or 3 servers on a very busy day. She was trying her best, and maintaining a positive attitude in deteriorating situation. The kitchen failed. The manager was very responsive and understood our disappointment. Rowan helped make a poor experience tolerable, and even enjoyable. I do hope the pizza was the exception and not normal. Played a few hours of Arcade games and the Laser Tag, both were fun. Everything was fun until bowling, an hour of bowing at lane #15 we had 3 mechanical errors having us wait probably all together 15 minutes. Well they credited us maybe 10 minutes and we had 2 people left in the 10th and they would not give us any more time do to a reservation? It was 20 minutes until 7pm and we only needed a few minutes. Also they had messed up one of our drinks and my wife ended up not getting the drink she asked for because they gave it to someone else at our table. We wanted to play more arcade games after but decided to just give our card away and tickets we had won due to us being irritated with being denied the rest of the game. I bought the all day passes for my six grandchildren and their two sets of parents. They had a wonderful time with the laser tag. Competition was high. They also enjoyed the dark Ride and the arcade games which had limitless play with the all day pass. They came home 4 hours later exhausted and happy. I would give 5 star, but escape room coupons list all three rooms for half price. It's not clear that its for one room only. A great addition to the Frederick area however it seems like there is some room for improvement. My group and I arrived on a Saturday around 630. Upon arrival, we checked out the options and then decided on the Escape Room, Laser Tag, and the 4D ride. We were informed that the Escape Room was booked the remainder of the night. So, we paid for the other two attractions and decided to head to the bar area where we were advised it would be an hour wait. Fortunately it did not take as long to be seated so we were able to enjoy drinks and appetizer options. The drinks were decent, over priced, but decent. Service was Ok but they were short handed and backed up at the bar. We then proceeded to the ride where we were then informed of another long wait. So we tried Laser Tag in which there was another long wait. Had we been informed of the wait time for attractions up front, our experience likely would have been different. Understanding that it was a Saturday night, Im still not sure I would return in the future. I was able to receive a refund (thank you management). Perhaps, the experience is different on less busy evenings, but nonetheless Im glad Frederick and surronding areas have another option for safe fun. read more

My bad rating is for the general manager ONLY. A group of us were at the establishment two weekends in a row. Amazing place for food and drinks but the second weekend I was charged twice for the same thing on my bank card. I called and talked to the general manager that Monday as soon as they opened. She told me she was with another customer at that time and that she would take my name plus number and call me right back when she was finish with the customer. Needless to say I never received that call back from her. So I called back that evening and the manager on duty couldn't help me but said that the general manager had left for the day and he would leave her another note with my name and number to call me the next day. Almost two weeks later she still hasn't called. My bank actually alerted me of the double charge and stop payment on the second so I didn't have to dispute it. It's a shame to have a great establishment but have general manager that doesn't follow up with the customer on a mistake made by the employee. read more

Went there to celebrate a friends birthday. Had a fun time for the most part. Food was decent, drinks weren't that great but the games were fun. Now the bad part was their management. After we were there for a few hours we realized they put 18% gratuity on every check and I mean every check. Which I wouldn't have cared if we knew. Our group had already closed out probably six checks because we had to order everything from the bar and we tipped between 20-30% on each check on top of the gratuity. When we found out we were pretty upset by it. When the manager came over he made it out that it was our fault for not noticing and said there wasn't anything he could do. Well let me tell you, I worked in restaurants for over 13yrs and normally when this happens, the restaurant just removes the additional tip. Now I didn't even ask him to do that but he insisted there was absolutely nothing he could do. I was like how about give my friends at least some credits to play some video games which would cost them nothing!!! He said no and was a real jerk about it. I believe his name is Ron. He is bald with a big black beard. Very unprofessional. Our group probably spent close to a grand while we were there. If you go there, watch out for the gratuity and don't expect good food, service or drinks. read more

Don't go!!!!!! Manager there on a Saturday dinner time was NO HELP. Terrible customer service. We do not live in the area. Went for ONE game only. My son and husband tried playing it, and after each attempt the maintenance guy (very nice guy) had to help them.... Finally, they took the machine down. So, we were stuck with credits/tokens - whatever they are called, on our players card. The front desk manager would not cash it out for us. We explained how far we lived, and that we only came in for that one game and that the maintenance guy tried his best but had to take it down. We asked to use our money on food or something. But the manager was a NO MAN right away. Said he couldn't. Wasn't allowed. The general manager wasn't there. And he basically said we were not worth him calling the general manager about it. HORRIBLE customer service. Destroyed our family night out. And left my 78-year-old mother with a player's card she will never use, as she was the one who paid. My son was totally upset, wouldn't talk to us on our long drive home, etc... we were there to celebrate, have dinner, etc... and it was a disaster. this is about the escape room games and not the rest of the place. they are so bad, even the staff agreed they are bad they told us about some other places in town to play. apparently the escape games here come from some company who made them and then went out of business (this is what we were told there) but the rooms were bad, lots of things are broke or just make no sense. read more
