A couple previous visits were great, including meeting the owner who was working that day at the Georgetown store. No big purchases, just hitches, pins, and such the last few years. I stopped in two weeks ago with my boat trailer and the young man in service came out to look and measured the wheels with their template. We also discussed the overhaul project I'm undertaking and he was super helpful, offering to walk the trailer and order anything needed, as well as answer questions. He gave the wheel and tire info to the guy at the counter. The counter guy took my name and number, "Should be here in about a week." Stopped by after hearing nothing and the same counter guy knew nothing about the order or the discussion. I left with "thank you" and received the standard "no problem". Never wonder why people shop online or with out of state dealers for parts and such. read more

I wished I could give 0 starts but If you're looking to purchase a trailer from a company that has allegedly demonstrated poor treatment of employees, disregarded claims of harassment and discrimination, and maintained sexist policies, then this company may be of interest. The HR department has reportedly failed to address employee concerns, and the company has a history of not promoting women to management roles. When attempting to transfer stores, the company initially claimed no openings were available, but later terminated employment without explanation. The company is currently unresponsive to emails and calls, and refuses to provide information on higher management. This company is a complete joke read more

I replaced the dolly leg on my BigTex equipment trailer but the foot was in a different configuration that the original so it wouldn't go up all the way. I stopped at Magnum and asked for ideas on how to fix it. I was assuming I would have to replace the entire assembly including having to fabricate all new brackets and probably spend $300-400. Bob and another technician looked it over and came up with a solution to rotate the bottom section of the leg. I left the trailer with them and in a couple of days they called to let me know it was fixed. It works perfectly now and it was a fraction of the cost I was planning on to replace it. If you are shopping for a trailer, do not go to this location in Georgetown. Go to the one on 620. I purchased a trailer to replace one stolen. The next day, the police located my trailer and I got it back. I left a message immediately with the salesperson and then called first thing Monday morning. I had not picked up the new one but had paid for it. Although none of the work I had requested had been started and no state paperwork begun, I was charged $324.10, mainly for "office fees". This is a total rip off. The manager of this location was very unprofessional. 6.8.2012 Via my credit card dispute rep, the owner and I came to agreement as to what I would pay for and what they would pay for. I paid for the manufacturer statement of origin and courier fee which he had paid for, totaling $87.50. He is mailing me a check for the difference. He incurred some fees because of the dispute. He was very gracious and and I appreciated him detailing the charges. This is the owner, not the son who I dealt with in Georgetown. I personally would not go to that location again. read more

I went to Magnum Trailers in Georgetown to order a custom enclosed trailer. They were not able to build the trailer I wanted because it did not fit within the realm of available configurations. In other words "custom" may not be the best description of what they can build. So I had the trailer built elsewhere. After receiving the trailer, I went to Magnum to have a brake controller installed on my truck. They were not familiar with the concept of proportional brake control so I elected to handle that myself. A year later I took this trailer to Magnum for some brake work. They performed the service without a problem. So they seem to be fine for "very basic" requirements. read more

Recently bought my third trailer from Magnum. Two from the Georgetown location. The folks there are nice and courteous. They even went out of their way recently to troubleshoot a problem for me on my way out of town on a long trip. They were booked but their technician Scott spent half an hour looking at my issue and he found the problem. THANK YOU for doing that. I would not have been able to get out of town without your help.
