    1/2lb Beef Brisket Coleslaw
    WILLIAM B.

Finally able to find this location and so I was in the mood for bbq. I ordered a 1/2lb of brisket lean and chopped along with some coleslaw. The brisket was delicious but the sauces were not labeled so that was weird but tasted like regular bbq sauce. I was looking for something with more heat or maybe mustard base sauce. Now the coleslaw was tasty but definitely puréed to death.

Small locale, great service. The menu was not complete as the main restaurant. The offerings were good. order was prepared quickly. The food was very tasty.

The service was wonderful. I was greeted warmly, and when I explained it, it was my first time the person behind the counter, I'm millennial took his time explaining how it works. The Brookhaven location has a limited menu, which is fine. There's lots of seating in there. They weigh it for you and even though the menu may say a half a pound or a quarter a pound you can add as much as you like and you were charged accordingly. That part I like. He sliced the brisket in front of me and I asked him to chop it and he did that as well. Mac & Cheese was decent. I'm happy that it wasn't orange -but it was tasty. It might've made a little salt and pepper. Maybe a little onion powder but I'm used to that. I didn't put anything on it and enjoyed it ( I always have to count for the fact that my taste buds are not the same since being sick.) Now that I'm speaking of it, it's less salty than City BBQ. However, I don't mind the Salter City BBQ because I only eat it on average once a month, which is probably a lot, but I enjoy it. ‍ I guess the price is about the same. What you see in the picture was about $27 with a two dollar carry Away tip because I was just treated so nicely and professionally. City BBQ, but this is a great place to try in a pinch. By the way, they had three sauces, original, spicy, and a vinegar version.

So this spot opened up near me and I was elated! I love a good spot I get some smoked brisket or burgers or whatever. It's basically walking distance so I feel like I couldn't miss! It's in a little plaza so you might have to do a little bit of navigating to get where you need to go if you come in on the wrong side of the parking lot but that's not the biggest deal, not the end of the world! Since it has opened up, I ended up going with the smoke cheddar burger, green beans, brisket by the lb, brisket chili, and the mac and cheese. I asked the person at the front to let me know what his best and favorites were, and he decorated and dressed my food to his liking because he said it was solid so I trust him. We actually had a good conversation. They have indoor and outdoor seating if you want to sit outside on a nice day. It's in the same plaza as where you would find a mellow mushroom and Chick-fil-A so you'll find multiple people eating depending on what time you go. For example if it's lunch time or whatever the case may be.

I was excited to try this new location but was immediately disappointed when I walked in and saw the menu. Its very limited compared to the other locations and serves everything cafeteria style. My ribs tasted like all of the flavor was boiled out then they were left on the smoker too long. The mac & cheese tasted like cheeze wiz and the string beans were salty. Another thing I didn't like is that the prices are listed per half pound of meat. However, if the staff gives you more meat (even if you didn't ask for it), you get charged extra. I asked for a half pound of meat. However, I didn't find out till I got to the register that I was given .85lbs so the total cost of my meal was higher. I think people should be asked if they want extra meat before being charged. I doubt I'll be back to this location. They get two stars because the staff is friendly. However, they'll need to make this location a bit more like the others to get me back in.

Great BBQ in Brookhaven. Even better margarita. Was pleasantly surprised. I arrived around 7:30 pm and they were nearly sold out. It wasn't crowded and the staff were friendly. Will visit again!

I came with a large group around 12:30pm and ordered off of the lunch menu, but for some reason was the only person at the table that was charged for a dinner plate and received a dinner portion. I ordered the cauliflower tacos and paid $40. I didn't get full from the tacos, but I stopped eating them because they weren't very appetizing. The cauliflower was very crunchy, lacked seasoning, and didn't really go well with the taco. Their bottomless chips and salsa were great though. The chips are so light and have the perfect crunch. The only issue is that since we had such a large group, the chips were finished about 10 minutes after we sat down and were never refilled, so we all kinda sat picking at the crumbs. While I didn't order the salad, many people that I was with did and it looked good. I am unsure of our servers name, but she was nice. She did fine for our 10 person table; She forgot to grab different drinks and refills but overall she was good, very friendly. We were sat outside, which half of us didn't know there as outdoor seating, but I would totally recommend. The weather was great, it wasn't loud nor crowded, and there weren't many bugs or anything. Overall, the food seems good, I just wouldn't recommend that a vegetarian or vegan goes here due to the very limited options.

I was placing an order through DoorDash around 8:30 PM and had a few questions about the entrees, so I tried calling the restaurant beforehand. I called from two different phones because they didn't answer the first call, but no one ever picked up either time. I went ahead and placed my order anyway since DoorDash already showed a 40+ minute delivery time, so I wasn't in any rush. Around 8:50 PM, a man from the restaurant called me back with an immediate attitude. He kept repeatedly telling me my order wasn't ready over and over, even as I calmly explained that I had tried calling earlier before placing my order pertaining to other things, not to rush my order. What really bothered me was how unprofessional the conversation became. He was laughing away from the phone while I was talking, clearly thinking I couldn't hear him. At that point, yes, I did give some attitude back because I felt disrespected by the way he was speaking to me and laughing during the conversation. He then ended the call by saying, "Well your order will be ready in 5 minutes, we just got it, ok honey," in a very demeaning and sarcastic tone. I understand restaurants get busy, especially during dinner rushes, and I'll admit the conversation became tense on both sides, but there's still no excuse for treating customers this way from the start. First impressions matter, especially for visitors trying your restaurant for the first time. Ended up not even enjoying the food and throwing it all away because I didn't feel comfortable feeding my family food from a place who had acted that way before even making my food because people are crazy and evil these days.

Our server was very quick to get me and my guest some waters and starting chips and salsa. He came back a couple times to make sure our food was tasting good and answered all of our questions! As we were looking at the menu talking about what we possibly wanted , drinks all of the above our server continued to ask if we were ready yet if I had to guess she probably asked about five times and there is definitely a big difference between being attentive and rushing your customers. Even after we were notified, the kitchen would be closed. We offered to go ahead and pay and not only did our server. Ask us if we are ready, but the manager came by too. It was frustrating because we were just sitting there talking, we had already finished our food and drinks And paid. She was friendly, but we could definitely tell she was ready to go. Now getting into the food it was very underwhelming. The chips and salsa were probably the best thing we had the steak, taco and salmon both like flavor. The mangoes on the salmon taco was a great touch, but the fact the salmon taste like it was literally just cooked, took away from it. This is definitely not anywhere near authentic unfortunately or is it a tasty spin on Tex-Mex. If I had to make a suggestion, it would probably be. This is a good place to get drinks. I've heard their birria tacos are pretty good so I would give it a chance again just for that. Being that I live in the neighborhood, I'm hoping this was just an off night because I would love to patronize here more often. The restaurant itself is very cute and has a lot of potential. However, the food itself needs work. I'm giving it four stars solely because I can see this being great. Hopefully they take customers suggestions and use them!

Some folks enjoyed them but if they weren't gross they were just ok with one exception - they can fry fish to crispy perfection. But then they just slap some mayo and drop it in a food service tortilla. No cilantro, no onions and no one to address this with. What was gross was fried cauliflower - limp, oily and uncooked with breading falling off and filling the taco. The enoki taco was a blob of AGAIN undercooked flour batter and some thing that looked like mushroom but had little taste. Shrimp taco was same as the fish - good fry but no attention to the accompaniments.
