GF brownies and oatmeal cream pies!
    J'aime M.

Cappuccino is pretty good. I'm happy they have GF brownies and oatmeal cream pies. The latter is so good with my drink. It doesn't look like there's outdoor seating but the inside is beautiful and spacious.

I hate to leave a bad review because there were only two employees and they really were trying and hustling hard. They just kept taking orders and neither of them were making the coffee, just sandwiches. We got our food quickly but waited 20 mins and counting for coffee. I actually went to foxtail in Jax yesterday and they run such a smooth operation, this location was incredibly disappointing. Wouldn't recommend if you're in a hurry or honestly at all.

Super cute little coffee and pastry shop! Everything was fresh and the interior was very clean.

The espresso was cooked came out way too hot and overdone. The cold brew was okay lacking flavor I will give them another shot. The service was nice.

    German Chocolate winner!!
    Amanda J.

This is the type of ice cream shop you take someone who is equally as enthusiastic about their mix-ins as they are their ice cream. The shop had about 12 or so flavor options. I went with the German Chocolate and the Oatmeal Cream Pie. The German chocolate was the winner in my book, but both were delicious. This is the type of ice cream that you will have to chew on, but it makes for a much more satisfying bite. The German Chocolate had delicious coconut and chocolate cake bites mixed in with a chocolate sauce. This was a semi soft, freshly made ice cream. The oatmeal cream pie was very sweet but also had chewy oatmeal cookie bites. This tasted a bit like a whoopie cream pie. The only woman working there, was friendly and genuinely surprised when I asked her how she was, as well. It seemed like she had a long night ahead of her closing up both a coffee and ice cream shop. Despite the time I arrived, she took her time with my ice cream choices and filling the one scoop cups to the brim, which was a generous amount considering both the quality of the ingredients and the price. I made sure to tip well and I hope others that read this and visit do as well! The location is easy to park in front of. It's just outside of the busier area of St. Augustine, and easy to visit post dinner. There was ample seating available. It seemed like a pretty quiet spot to meet up with people for ice cream or a cup of coffee.

I decided to try their hot rose latte with oat milk. This drink was incredibly delicious. It was the perfect balance between the floral notes of rose and the creaminess of oat milk. A delightful combination for anyone who loves floral notes in their coffee. Foxtail is also a great spot for a study sesh, although I will say that the music can be a bit on the louder side.

Great cafe! It has a beautifully done interior and the coffee is excellent! We were the first ones there the day we came because it was across the street from our hotel so we grabbed a couple cafe macchiato's before heading to watch the sunrise. The service was great! We didn't try any of the pastries, but they looked delicious. I absolutely love coffee shops like this. Keep up the great work! Enjoy :D

Such a great spot! This place is often quiet and great for studying, with lots of tables and outlets. I've tried the cookies, cake pops and ice cream and all were delicious! I only enjoy their vanilla latte and chai tea! The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, and they play chill music (nothing loud or too crazy so it's perfect for studying or reading!). The baristas and owner had always been so kind to us. They are also open until 9pm, which is super convenient! We love this place!

Delicious coffee that makes me happy every single sip I took Yummy I'm Happy w the cold brew as happy w the hot coffee and the chai tea ahhhh I'm going to miss this place. Can't wait to come back and enjoy fantastic coffee again. The guy who served us was amazing at making them too. Super nice and friendly. I wish I remembered his name. All I know is that we went on 6/18/24 at 9:44am. Very clean and calming ambient and location. Thank you for your service!

Iced caramel latte with almond milk.

This quaint and cozy little spot is tucked away on the corner of king street. I discovered this place through their original location in winter garden, orlando, but I am very happy it is becoming a chain across florida. Though it has several locations, any location you visit will give you the same cozy, welcoming vibes. The decoration and ambiance matches the seasons, which makes those pumpkin-spice lattes in the fall definitely more enjoyable. I only come here for the coffee, so I have not yet tried any pastries or food items, but the display case makes it very enticing. There's touches of foxtail all over the shop, from the large light up cursive F, to the adorable mugs for sale. I usually stick with the Iced caramel latte with almond milk, it's my favorite and never fails to give me an energy boost. The baristas are nothing but kind, making my coffee quickly and expertly.

Another place to add to my frequent stops. I have driven past this place many times, but never stopped in. Until one day I just needed coffee (haha that is everyday for me; but the statement sounded appropriate) and was in the area. It shares the parking lot with Cannabist. Walked in ans found it to be spacious, and had that local coffee shop feel. Lots of decor, and items branded with the logo to purchase, they also serve ice cream! Fun combo especially when arriving with kids! That's me ! My girls enjoyed their ice cream so much it was devoured before I could snap a shot. On this visit I ordered a cortado and a lattee, a chocolate croissant, and two 1 scooo of ice cream. Prices seemed a bit steep. Service was swell the girl that rang me up was very nice. I'll definitely be back, but will keep ordering limited.

Foxtail - truly a hidden gem; the ambience perfects the chill-rustic vibes of St. Augustine, add coffee and that's all I need (bonus there's ice cream?!?!) I ordered a vanilla latte and was exceptionally satisfied, shout out to one of the employees, Morgan, a fabulous barista. The building itself is very clean and well kept and so is the restroom. Will be back again!! they also had many seasonal flavors which is always exciting! I had to add a snippet for my love of the ceilings :D

the interior of a coffee shop
    Wayne M.

With such a stunning interior, I was optimistic about the coffee experience to follow. Unfortunately, we were sadly disappointed. The inside is absolutely lovely and there is ample seating when you include the long bar down the side of the shop. But alas, a coffee shop with terrible coffee does not make the inside worthwhile regardless. Service was as bit bumpy and there is a real need for customer service and counter training, but the baristas were polite and helpful. I do think they need some help teaching them how to actually be baristas, which isn't their fault. They only offer a cappuccino in an 8 oz side, which was disappointing, so I ordered an Americano instead. Somehow, I ended up with both. Ok, mistakes happen, but the Americano was lukewarm at best, and the cappuccino only slightly warmer. The other coffee items in our order were also lacking in temperature and flavor. The cold foam was not at all foamy. The chocolate croissant was very good, but the bagel was dry as sand. There is Kelly's ice cream available here, but we did not try that. There is also a small parking lot they share with a CBD store, which is helpful on King Street. Overall, there are many far superior coffee places in the area to go back, but maybe in the future I'll give them another try to see if they've improved with time. Hopefully, the experience will match the interior by then.

Cone Heads is located right on A1A Beach Blvd, just a block off of the beach. It is in a standalone building that is inviting with both colorful signage and plenty of outdoor seating. They also have a drive-thru and a private parking lot. When we visited on a Tuesday in July around 5:30 PM, we had no issue getting a parking spot. There were some other customers enjoying some ice cream, but there was relatively no line when we entered the store. The ordering happens inside, and you walk right into the ice cream cabinets and counter. All of the flavors are displayed and can be seen from the order line. Additionally inside, there are some tables to sit and eat at, along with a restroom. They sell a variety of merchandise along with their food and dessert selection. I liked seeing the community cork-board, where there were a variety of different posters and advertisements for events and services around the area. The menu consisted of traditional ice cream items one would expect - cups, cones, sundaes, banana splits, milkshakes, and more. They also had a Seasonal Special section on the menu, which I assume changes somewhat frequently. This trip, that item was a Donut Ice Cream Sandwich. There are some sundae combinations on the menu, but you can customize your own if you choose. There is hard ice cream, soft serve, and also some hot food options - hot dogs, sausages, and tamales, primarily. For drinks, they had canned soda, bottled, water, and some coffee options. As far as to-go, they had pints and quarts available for the ice cream, along with a freezer full of pre-packaged pints, quarts, and ice cream sandwiches for a grab and go situation. Having never been here before, our group needed some time to look at the menu and flavors before ordering. There were around 30 different flavors of hard ice cream, which included No Sugar Added and Dairy Free varieties, in addition to traditional full dairy varieties. I thought that the flavor selection was a healthy mix of traditional favorites and unique offerings. The staff working were friendly and helpful with answering all of our questions about the flavors. I even got to try a couple samples before making my decision. After much debate, I landed on trying the Donut Ice Cream Sandwich. This was made to order, and I got to choose the ice cream for the filling. I opted for the Kahula Chip for a coffee and donut flavor combination. I did enjoy this treat! The donut was fresh (and from a local spot), and the ice cream complimented it nicely. I thought the price was also fair for the size and specialty of the dessert, at $5.50 before any tax. My dog was waiting patiently in the car, so we ordered him a Doggie Ice Cream. It was a small boat of vanilla soft serve with peanut butter sauce and a Milk Bone. For my magnet collection, I also purchased one of their logo to take home with me. I personally did not pay the bill, but I thought the pricing here was fair and in line with any other similar type of shop. They took both cash and card. This shop is exactly what you would want out of an ice cream shop on the beach - fun, colorful, and local. They incorporate various other local businesses into their products. The theme of the establishment is appropriate for being a block away from the ocean, and there is a lot of color and fun decor to look at around the building. The staff were all pleasant, the product is tasty, and the price is right. Really enjoyed discovering Cone Heads on this trip, and will make sure to stop by again during my future trips to St. Augustine!

One would think there's not much you can do with a grilled cheese sandwich, but the Grilled Cheese Gallery proves that assumption wrong. There are 13 amazing and creative choices of grilled cheese here. Don't like grilled cheese? They also serve salads, poutine, mac & cheese grilled sandwiches, ice cream and other desserts. This is Comfort Food headquarters! There were actually so many choices it was hard to choose. I chose A Night in Amsterdam: Gouda, Gruyere, Swiss, Cheddar, on Artisan White. My wife had The Queen Brie: House cured bacon, French Brie, Raspberry Puree, Balsamic on Sourdough. My Amsterdam was quite a creation: three slices balanced on a pedestal with cheese trailing down more than a foot. It was delicious! My wife lauded her Queen Brie as well. We wish we had more time in Saint Augustine as this place is definitely worth a second visit.

We ordered: the Amsterdam, the Artist, the Queen Brie, and the Classic (2 sandwiches). Three of us upgraded to a small cup of tomato soup (each order comes with a mini cup for dipping). I was the lucky person who ordered the Amsterdam, which, much to our surprise and delight, was served on a hook with melted cheese stretching down to the tray it was served on. Everyone had to take a photo of my sandwich! It contained a variety of cheeses, so while the taste was fairly classic, it was a bit more nuanced than the Classic sandwich, which only had cheddar cheese. Everyone else thought their sandwiches were delicious too. And we all loved the homemade tomato soup! I tend to be a bigger fan of creamy tomato soups, but this one was rich with umami flavor and had a bit of a kick. While this is a counter-service restaurant that's pretty much no-frills, the employees were friendly and helpful. One of them refilled our water cups at the table, even though the pitcher she had was leaking, and I didn't get the sense that they normally did that. Sadly, they don't sell soft serve ice cream any more, but there are so many ice cream shops in this part of St. Augustine that you can easily walk somewhere else for dessert (which we did). The place wasn't crowded on a Friday evening and had lots of menu choices, so if you like grilled cheese sandwiches, whether creative or simple, be sure to stop by the Grilled Cheese Gallery on your visit to St. Augustine!
