absolutely the worst piece of junk mailing systems I have used. Prior to this we had two different models of Pitney Bowes postage systems over about 10 years placed in exactly the same physical location. Neither one of those machines ever gave use any issue. But the amount of mail we send out has declined so we decided to try something a bit less expensive. We signed up through a FP partner for a PostBase 30. It is a steaming pile of garbage. Ink head on the upper cartridge will clog weekly and after a few weeks of this cannot be resolved by physically cleaning the head. It has gotten so bad that cartridges now need replaced every couple of weeks, which suggests its a hardware issue, but the FP partner will not acknowledge there is a problem, they tell us it is the location because the AC diffuser 20 feet away is blowing on it (remember the PB machines where in the same location), or we just need to physically clean the heads more often. When replacing cartridges with FP brand items the screen will show a warning that the cartridges are NOT authentic FP cartridges??? For the amount of time and money wasted on replacement cartridges I should have just stayed with Pitney Bowes. read more

My postage machine didn't update with the new postal rates from last week. I tried calling and was on hold forever with customer service. I'm sure I wasn't the only one with the problem so the wait was understandable. I sent our rep Jennifer an email explaining the situation and within minutes I was speaking with a customer service rep. A couple of more minutes, I was up and running! Excellent customer service! I used this companies postage meter for several years. When I realized that there must be a better way to meter mail, cuz my envelopes just labored thru the machine. I phoned them, they were extremely rude. I called someone else they asked what kind of a machine I had when I gave them the model number they stated that it was a very old machine. The new company told me how much faster their machine was. So I ordered it and phoned FP and canceled. Only to be informed later that oh it didn't matter that I was a good customer and their sales person was rude and not helpful I would owe for an additional year because they require that you cancel prior to the yearly renewal. Really? Why? I canceled 1 week after the yearly renewal. They said I still owed them. I boxed up the machine sent it back at my cost of 75.00. I phoned yes they got it but I still owed for a crap machine that had not been working properly for years, and I was no longer using cuz they supplied me with a old machine instead of a new one. I told them I would not pay. They turned me over to a collection agency for 300.00. It is on my credit report, I received a call from an attorney who threatened suit....really?? for 300.00??What ever happened to customer service? I ended up paying. Complaints and concerns are just left unanswered. *** Please be advised the cost of their ink is 10 times the amount of our previous provider. Now they are telling me that somewhere buried on their website, they require 90 days notice. I told them this was unconscionable and they told me they will turn me over for collection. beware of cancelling your contract. They say in fine print that you have to cancel within 90 days of your renewal, but they don't send out the renewals until 60 days out. They won't honor or come close to a competitor pricing. Buyer beware if you sign a long term contract. read more

This company is a joke. I ordered a postal meter back in January for my newly formed company, when I received the meter I did not install it, instead I returned it. The reason for return is because I would have to have an additional line for Internet ran in order to use the Ethernet for the meter. After investigating this the cost was to great for a new company to undertake, thus the reason for the return. I called FP and spoke to Amanda, who informed me that since it was not used and returned a few days later the contract could be cancelled. I followed up as she suggested with emails and phone calls. Assuming things were taken care of I did not follow-up until I received another letter earlier in the week with a payment amount of $783.00, I attempted to call, but got nowhere. I followed-up with an email, which Andrea Tipton responded to on today, explaining that I could not cancel the contract and that I should pay the bill. I asked to be transferred to her manager, which she hung up on me, however she did call me back and transferred me to him. I have no clue his name as he was a total jackass. He was very condescending and rude. He over talked me, I couldn't get a word in. He basically laughed in my face and demanded payment. Needless to say, I lost it and went off on him. I emailed Andrea Tipton again requesting this person's name which she deliberately chose not to respond, especially since we had traded several emails most of the morning. Bottom line, I have received no solution to this issue. I will never recommend this company to anyone, especially a start-up company. I really wished I had read the reviews before hand. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. What a rip-off. After renting the machine for six years, paying for it many, many times over, I was pointed to the small print on the original contract that stated that the contract would auto renew every year, for an entire year, without possibility of terminating if I miss the date by even one day. OK, fine. Six months out, I send a termination letter, which they either lose, ignore or throw away. Three months out, I send another termination letter. Again, they seem to ignore it. Mail the unit back, takes them a week to process, so they bill me for those days of rental!!! On the phone they are rude and uncooperative. Oh, and the kicker? When you send it back, they want you to insure it for $5,000 - a used up, ancient piece of garbage. DO NOT USE!!!! read more

WARNING - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH FP MAILING SOLUTIONS. If I could give a negative star rating I would.If anyone is considering doing business with FP Mailing Solutions I would not recommend it. I was a customer for over 15 years using the same meter and always paying my invoice on time for my firm. I received a call from FP Mailing Solutions sales department back in December telling me that I had to replace my meter before January 1st as it would no longer be usable. I agreed to get the new meter under the circumstances so they sent it out to me. Before receiving the meter I found out I had been lied to by the salesman, as the truth was I could continue to use my meter until the postage in it was used. I returned the meter they had sent WITHOUT opening the box and explained to their customer service department what had happen and why I sent it back. After 15 years of being a loyal customer they sent me to collections for the 3 year term of the lease they lied to me to get to accept. No one should ever do business with a company that handles their loyal customer in this manner. read more

Use of the PostBase Mini Meter was problematic from day one. We were unsure of what labels to order so I called customer service. The label they recommended was the wrong one and almost impossible to use with the machine. Once we got the correct labels, we thought it would be easy from there. It wasn't. The amount of remaining postage always seemed to be incorrect. The final issue was when we downloaded postage, only sent one package, and then the meter showed we were out of postage. After pulling a report and showing evidence that we had not used up the postage amount that we downloaded, we were told by customer service that our postage was in a reserve account, and no one would help us understand how we could get the postage to be available. Since there was no point in keeping the meter the we can't use, we returned it. Of course, they are holding us to their contract, but since we could not access the postage that we downloaded, it seems that FP is actually the party that is in breach of contract. The last customer service rep that I talked to accused me of saying they were stealing (which I did not say) and basically said that my issues with the service were lies. Then, he asked me to send him a copy of the report showing the postage discrepancy. Maybe he should have asked me for the report first before calling a paying customer a liar. Our sales rep is pleasant enough but seemingly has no agency to resolve customer issues. read more

We started with these folks over a year ago, and I would advise everyone to steer clear of them. Salesman was a jerk, and didn't explain all of the charges that would be involved in using their service/equipment. I tried to call Customer Service yesterday, and after going through their ridiculously long list of options, I was told I was the 31st caller in the queue. 31st caller? This company has the most horrible service ever. I had been using their meter and was very satisfied when the meter broke. I contacted them and they assured me that if I bought new ink it would resolve the issue. I then spent 60.00 on ink and waited for it to arrive. When I installed the new ink it did not fix the problem. I finally got them to send me a new meter. This same incident happened 3 times and the 3rd time I was told they were out of the 60.00 ink but I could buy premium ink from them for 250.00!! I explained that as new ink had never solved the issue before I would not be forking over 250.00 for ink! They said that was my only option. So I shipped their meter right back to them and now they sent me to collections for the balance of the contract! These people are horrible about returning phone calls and are going to get their money even if they have a poor product! read more

I am writing in hopes that through the BBB this company will change the ways that it approaches Customer Service. We have been trying to send back a malfunctioning system for the past 2 months and are getting the run around yet still receiving invoices in the mail. When you call the toll free number for customer service you are on the phone an average of 30-45 minutes before you get disconnected yet if you call the Sales/New business line you reach someone LITERALLY within 30 seconds. When you try and ask them for help they state that they do not have access to any information and that customer service is the only ones that can assist. You are then sent to the same line that you are on hold with for 45 minutes. Thius is by far the worst B2B interaction I have ever experienced. read more

I am a former employee of FP Mailing Solutions and I wish I could give them negative stars. Of the 4 years I worked for FP, recently left in April 2016, I have been witness to many unethical and unfair practices by FP management. They are a company that does NOT care about their employees or customers. As a customer, you will be experience insane hold time for customer service and tech support. When you reach a rep, they will often times refer you back to your sales person because they are both too lazy to do their job and not well trained/knowledgable. You will deal with a sales person that will promise you the moon and give you a turd instead. This is because FP changes commission structures year over year and the latest one is worst than the last, so everyone does whatever they can to get a sell (unethical). You will have a nightmare during rate changes and it will severely affect your mailing/ business. Lastly, you will try to get out of the contract because FP did such a poor job of keeping up their end of the deal and you will have to work with Cancellations- they will point out fine print on contracts that say the contract is non cancellable. The contract auto renews. Or they will say you agreed to terms and conditions which are located on their website, so basically you are stuck in contract or have to pay a ridiculous amount to end it. As an employee, the top performers are not promoted or given a chance to grow with the company to make it a better place, instead they hire from outside of the company. The salary you begin with is the one you end with (no annual raise or employee performance raises). I caution you not to do business with this company nor to work for them. Our representative Jennifer H was very attentive and responsive to our many questions. She was very helpful and is it turns out...everyone in the office loves our new gadget! I contracted with FP Mailing Solutions after years of paying high rental fees to Pitney Bowes. I thought I was getting a comparable machine for a lot less money. What I really got was a machine that I cannot load postage onto, a complete joke of a customer service department, and the inability to just send the machine back and cut my losses. I have spent HOURS on the phone with their customer service and technical support people and no one can help me download postage. You can only load postage over the phone if you have an analog phone line - no one has those anymore all of the big business carriers (AT&T, Comcast, Windstream etc are digital lines). Option 2 is to download postage over the internet. They sent me the $20 cord but I can't even download the software because our security firewall Trend Micro says their site is malicious and blocked it. FP told me that their site isn't malicious but they just didn't want to pay all of the firewall fees to get it unblocked so I should un-install my firewall, download their software, and then re-install my firewall - REALLY??? I just want to cancel and end the machine back but now customer service says I have not talked to the right people in support so here I sit on hold waiting for someone else to tell me the same thing. So far today, I've been on the line with FP for 54 minutes - most of that time on hold. This company is a joke and I can see now that they are going to make it as difficult as possible to solve my complaint. Steer clear of this company - they are not worth the few dollars a month you will save. read more

None of my calls were returned and if I did speak to someone, they were rude and nasty. Contacted BBB, but they did nothing! It seems like this company's MO is to screw over as many people as they can. And the worst part is, you can't take them to small claims court unless you go to IL!! The service light on the meter came on and they told us we had to upgrade to a more expensive meter - they had just auto renewed us for one year and refused to honor the contract price. They refused to negotiate at all and would not accept a 90 cancellation notice. We selected another company anyway and returned the meter. FP said we had to pay the contract price for the remainder of the contract or they would send us to collections. read more

BEWARE - THIS COMPANY MAKES MISREPRESENTATIONS TO GET YOUR BUSINESS. If I could give this company zero stars I would. The salesperson represented to me that I could cancel the contract anytime after one year. When I just tried to cancel the contract, I was told that I was obligated for the next 15 months because I did not cancel 90 days before the annual renewal date. Apparently I was supposed to cancel on Christmas Day and it is now the first business day after that date. I was completely shocked that I had to give any notice at all because I have nothing in the documents that I signed that talks about this provision and such provision is obviously completely contrary to the solicitation materials and the representations of the salespeople. In addition, there is no "service" in their customer service. They promise to send things and do not fulfill any of the promises. I wish I would have read all these reviews before I decided to try to do business with these people. Here's my nightmare. I was receiving calls every single day from a guy named Tim in their sales department. I had been with Pitney Bowes for 2 years. I run a business with a high volume of mail. He advised me of a machine that he said would have the same functions and speed as my Pitney Bowes machine at a much lower price. I was looking to lower my monthly bill so I ended my contract with Pitney Bowes and decided to try them out. We had a pretty high powered meter so I was a little skeptical when he gave me the price but he vowed that we would be satisfied. He said that FP Mailing had been around for decades and that I would be taken care of. As soon as I opened the box I knew this machine was not adequate for our needs. It didn't even have an auto feed feature which we talked about in depth in terms of need for my business. I immediately called my sales guy Tim who had been reachable every day up until the day they shipped me the meter. I left him a few messages and then called Customer Service to let them know of the issue. I informed them that I had been trying to reach my sales rep, that the machine I received was not what we agreed upon and that I would be sending the machine back. At that time, I just wanted to speak to my rep to see if they actually have the caliber of machine I need and if so, l would have opted to swap out for a better meter. However, Tim never returned my calls at all. The very next day after I received the meter, I shipped it right back to FP Mailing Solution via UPS. I even paid for the shipping. I thought I would hear from someone in regards to getting me a meter that would meet my needs but instead no one called at all. I was completely ignored! I didn't activate the machine. I didn't even plug it into a socket cause at first glance I could tell it was cheap and was not going to work for our volume. Now the're sending me a bill for $910.00 for a machine that I never even plugged up and is not in my possession. I wrote to them a few times. Every time they send an invoice I mail it back with an explanation. I have called many times only to be transferred to employees voicemails who don't return my calls. Meanwhile , they keep sending me this bill. Very crooked business practices. I would never recommend them to anybody. read more

I wish we had read the reviews on this company before we leased their slower that molasses postage meter. A month after we received it we informed them that we were not happy with it and were told that we had to stick with it for the balance of the lease. SEVERAL TIMES before the lease was up we spoke with them and told them that we were not happy and were not renewing our lease and how did we go about sending it back. When the time came for us to return it they told us it must be insured and special mailing instructions and all that but they never reminded us that we had to notify them in writing that we would like to cancel 90 days ahead. So now their lawyer is hounding us and we're building up late fees. This company is the biggest ripoff with poor quality equipment and even poorer quality employees. I'd like to know how they sleep at night knowing that they have cheated people. Hopefully this company will not be in business too much longer. read more

This is a HORRIBLE company to deal with. The salesperson convinced me to go with them after I had decided to lease from another vendor. He quoted me on the MY MAIL machine since it was cheaper but failed to tell me the ink was 3 times as much as the original machine he quoted. I had expected a lesser machine than I was used to (I had Pitney Bowes prior), but not this bad. Besides indicating that their ink was less expensive he also indicated their customer service had the fastest response rate. Well my 3 calls (1 because their system disconnected me) took 1/2 hr each before I spoke with a customer service rep. The machine is very primitive and I hated it from the beginning. I contacted them immediately upon set up and they refused to take it back but offered to lease me a more expensive machine or I could buy out my contract (mind you I haven't even used it at this point) for a bargain $200 (my year contract totals $190). After a week of using it (less than 20 impressions), The printing was so illegible I lost $2.30 in postage and had to send an employee to the post office to make sure the mail got out. Once I did speak to customer service I was told that the ink cartridge will get clogged after it sits for a weekend and I need to run "clean cartridge" to fix it. The next morning (12 hrs later), it was just as bad and I had to run "clean cartridge" again. I also found out that the "first cartridge free" is a trial cartridge with 1/2 the ink, but replacement is a whopping $104!!! Not wanting to lose another 1/2 hr of my time in customer service cue, I e-mailed them to be told that I have to wait in the cue before someone with help me. WARNING!!! DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! I am now stuck with a monthly charge on a paper weight! read more

I just don't don't know how to say how bad their service is. However, I will mention this that their customer service team tries their best within their power to do whatever they can. The supervisor are really very rude and not willing to help you. I had to send back my posebase mini (it was my first time using it since the old employee left) I did not know that you have to take out the ink and send the machine back. I never asked because I was under the impression that its just like any other printer ink that you can buy from Office Depot or best buy, but thats not the case, the INK COSTS $120 plus delivery cost is about another $30 for a ink that is sent on a priority mail flat rate box that costs $3.99. They ink they use in the machine is chipped by FP Mailing to ensure that you only buy from them and cannot refill it. Since the chip ensure you can only print so many times. There is a lot more but I hope this review helps if you are planning to take FP One's service. read more
