April 29, 2023 - on a cool rainy night we ventured out with life long friends for a nice dinner on the Delaware. Seated at a lovely table with a view of the Delaware. The place is a mix of quant colonial Washington Crossing home and a 2020 COVID expansion tent. The zone table coverage was tactical and efficient by the bus staff. Our service by "Jenny" --- who our table of four 'boomers' kept singing (quietly so as to not disturb our fellow diners) 8-6-7-5-3-oh nye eeh hy eeeh ine (just skip ahead if this make zero sense to you) was exceptional and truly made the dining experience wonderful. We BYOB'd some nice wine and I had water with lemon. And while not thinking there would be there was no corking charge (smile). The kitchen looked from he distance to be clean and obviously efficient as the packed house (and companion tent) was full and turning over with many smiling faces as we very leisurely dined. A warm and welcoming place for sure!! We split a few arugula salads (after seeing a neighboring table seeming do the same as portions here are ample). Greens were fresh and colorful. - 8/10 My wife got a Vegetable Soup that she reported was excellent and must have been so good I was not offered even a taste?? - 8/10 Our friends who had been here before had gotten the Bob's Plate before and she ordered that again. She reported as again fantastic. - 9/10 Her spouse ordered the Bouillabaisse with fettuccine that he also had had before and it was as expected a home run!!! Both left with over half the portion in a take out box. - 9/10 My wife got the Fish Francoise (fluke) with crab and sauté greens and came with smashed potatoes. She was not aware of the potatoes (which she is supposed to avoid) and asked for something else and promptly received roasted vegetables. Very enjoyable and my wife said the fish and crab were fresh and wonderfully cooked, moist, and flavorful. 9/10 I was all ready to order the simple spinach ravioli as the only visible vegetarian or vegan item which I expected since it did not so state there was cheese in the ravioli or on it. However it did have cheese so I did a little sad face and whining and Jenny quickly rattled off a rolodex of items and options and we quickly configured a roasted varied vegetable medley with my choice of pasta. I chose bowtie. As well an arrabiata spicy red sauce (meatless) that was maybe too spicy for some, but I loved it. The pasta was el dente and cooked nicely. The dish arrived fresh and hot as well. Perfect - 10/10 One negative (not considered in the ratings and of course easily fixed) is my utensils had to be replaced and were not acceptable. Just would like the manager/GM/owner to keep an eye out or have the bus staff pay a bit more attention. Net-net a thoroughly top notch dining experience and fantastic place absolutely on our save list for Bucks County for our next visit!!!

This is a lovely BYOB along the Delaware River about 5 miles from downtown New Hope. There's a parking lot on the property. We had reservations, and I think they'd be necessary because it seems to be a very popular place. The food was delicious! Our server Jenny recommended the lasagna which 2 of us had and loved. The other two had the lamb chops and capellini with crab. The desserts were also delicious. Jenny recommended the coconut cream cake which was amazing. We definitely plan to return.

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our first visit. It was our 35th anniversary get-away, staying at a nearby B&B, and we left happy and full. Our server, Colleen, was amazing and made our visit fulfilling and entertaining! What a gem! The restaurant is located just off the river- with a view from the prime porch tables. The setting is charming, rustic and relaxing. The BYO aspect is also appealing - don't forget to tip on the value of your wines - and really keeps costs down. Meals - esp. the "signature" dishes - are on the family style volume side, easily shareable. We took a different path with our appetizers and our entrees. Me - Pork chop with mushroom & Gorgonzola, mashed and veggies. Superb! My wife - Squid ink ravioli with a pink lobster cream sauce. Delicious! Colleen surprised us with a slice of cake & a candle! A special evening! Highly recommended.

Fantastic, boutique Italian restaurant that is worth the price. Decorated beautifully, but the space is tight and its BYOB. Truly the best Italian in the area.

A Hidden Gem in Lambertville - Cocktails, Cuisine & Character All in One Spot! We came to…read moreLambertville, PA on a whim during a trip from Miami, looking to explore a charming small town with history, heart, and hopefully some hidden treasures. With zero expectations and a love for antiquing and supporting small businesses, we were immediately smitten by the cobblestone beauty and old-town charm. But the real gem of this visit? T 54 - a restaurant that completely stole our hearts (and taste buds). From the moment we walked into this quaint little spot that seats no more than 68 people, we knew we were somewhere special. The greeting was warm, welcoming, and relaxed - a "sit wherever you'd like" vibe that instantly made us feel like locals. But then came the moment that made the entire trip: David, the bartender. Let me just say this - if Lambertville has a mayor of cocktails, it's him. I asked David to surprise us with something extraordinary, and WOW did he deliver. First up, the espresso martini - a drink I've had hundreds of times, yet never like this. Smooth, bold, balanced - truly remarkable. I asked him what his next best was and he handed me the Green Hope - a gin-based masterpiece that was bright, herbaceous, and perfectly crafted. Drink three? The showstopper: The Lambertville David-Aayyyy - his own off-menu spin on their Lambertville Rose cocktail, and an absolute knockout. The man is a cocktail magician. Now let's talk about the food. I ordered the burger and fries and let me be real with you - this wasn't just a burger. This was a BURGERRRRR. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and topped with a torched cheese interior (yes, torched... and yes, it matters), fresh toppings, and a house-made aioli that I wanted to bottle and take home. The fries? Imagine a single potato sliced into thick, golden quarters, crisped and seasoned to perfection. They're rustic, hearty, and addictive. My man had the eggs benedict with prosciutto, and I kid you not - I've never seen a plate licked so clean. It was that good. Like, "don't even need to run this plate through the dishwasher" level good. From the intimate atmosphere to the elevated drinks, and seriously impressive food, T 54 is a place that blends soul, flavor, and genuine hospitality in a way that's rare to find. Whether you're a local or just passing through like us, make the time to visit this place. Ask for David. Trust him. And bring your appetite. This is the kind of place that makes you fall in love with small towns all over again.

We finally got around to trying Taverna 54. We called ahead to check on seating, and Maximo told us…read moreto come in. When we arrived, though, we were told there weren't any seats. After a few minutes, they said they could squeeze us in. It felt a bit odd -- the space isn't very large, so you'd expect the dining room to be easier to manage. We shared the burger and the carbonara. Both dishes were underwhelming, especially given the expectations we had for this spot. The burger was on the bland side, and the carbonara was made with store‑bought noodles, which took away from the dish. While the food missed the mark, the dining area itself is very nice and the service was great.

We shared a literally beautiful antipasto for an appetizer. It boasted fresh mozzarella balls, eggplant, artichokes, sweet red peppers, prosciutto, and olives. We had a good and soft loaf of bread with a yummy olive oil and balsamic dip too. Our meals were ALL tremendous! We had pasta dishes - gnocchi marsala and fettuccine with clams - EXCELLENT! I had plenty of sauce left to dip the soft bread into :) The other couple had octopus (appetizer) and seafood atop squid ink pappardelle pasta. They loved their dishes as well. Of course we didn't have room for dessert, but our chocolate wine and other wines were definitely sufficient. BYOB's are great and money saving. This place is a bit of a haul but I hope to get back in the future !

They serve a delicious homemade bread that's warm when it's brought the table. In addition, it's accompanied by a dish of olive oil, with balsamic vinegar and what I believed to be a spicy dusting of pepper. It was a little too spicy for me - however, I did like the addition of the balsamic as a change from just olive oil. I would skip the pepper though, unless you like spice. We ordered the Polpette as an appetizer; it's a 'tradition' of mine. If meatballs are on the menu, I will always order them. These lamb, veal and beef meatballs were very good, and the marinara sauce they came in was excellent! The sauce is actually a 'roasted pomodoro' gravy - which is an 'intensified' version of a classic Italian sauce. It's made by roasting the tomatoes at a very high heat and almost caramelizing them. A little feta was added to the sauce, which really highlighted those meatballs!! We split the order - as 5 meatballs is quite a large appetizer! We decided to share two entrees - the Beef Short Ribs and the Lobster Ravioli. I always ask if the short ribs are lean - our server responded they were very lean...and they were. Soft, tender and very flavorful large chunks of beef, with a deliciously rich gravy with mushrooms on a bed a creamy garlic mashed potatoes! It was a superb dish! The website said the Short Ribs were the restaurant's most popular meal. Next, the Lobster Ravioli. The dish was a very 'delicate' one, with a very subtle brandy cream sauce. It had chopped jumbo shrimp and peeled cherry tomatoes with the raviolis. While the sauce tasted fine, it needed 'something' - we added pepper which helped. The raviolis were good - we couldn't taste lobster in the cheese of the raviolis - we assumed it was there. The chopped shrimps though provided a nice additional seafood flavor. I like my raviolis tender - the kind that almost melt in your mouth. The pasta here was firmer - a little more 'al dente', but it was fine. We ended our meal with the Chocolate Mousse. Served in a martini glass, the mousse had a velvety texture with a deep dark chocolate flavor. It was very rich yet light and fluffy; a good choice for dessert!

Rocco's closed down in Newtown, PA and their pork chop was the best...this pork chop was right up there with Rocco's. The mustard sauce, unique topping, was amazing. I am thinking about it today and my mouth is watering. My husband's veal was probably the best he has ever had. The most tender veal ever with a delicious marsala sauce. Then there were the pastas and seafood...all delicious. Oh and the calamari. It was all so darn good. Kyle was our server and he added to a perfect dining experience. He answered our questions, described the choices right on, made recommendations, he was friendly, had a wanting to please attitude and my 13 yr old granddaughter was crushing on him. (Haha). Wish all of our servers were that effecient and good. Gotta love a BYOB! The restaurant is modernly decorated and very comfortable. High energy kinda place. Noise level was high but all restaurants are loud these days and it really wasn't too bad. It was our first time at this restaurant and even though it is a bit far...we can't wait to go back. It is a pleasure to support a family run business. The owner came to our table and you could see her pride and we also felt our business was appreciated. I see why every table was full on a Sunday night. I just wish this place were in our neighborhood!! Love love love it!!!
