This is my cauliflower crust pizza
Jennifer T.

We do this place every year , this year was very disappointing. I ordered a gf free pizza , they said they can do any pizza but it was burnt , and i get that they cook different but it was charred all i can taste was burnt. They did take it off and apologize of course blamed the egg , then in my opinion that should be mentioned. ( not to be mention when i asked for gluten free options he chuckled) My husband enjoyed his meal he said chicken was a bit dry , we also ordered aranchini and they were way over cooked ! Always great service though otherwise

Excellent calamari, wonderfully seasoned, and next time hopefully the fry oil will be fresh.

This lovely establishment earns a solid four stars. The menu is diverse enough to be interesting and completely satisfying. The service is excellent, really excellent. No fewer than four separate people came over to check on us and make sure that we were OK. The food came out quickly. And hot. The components of our meal that involved bread were exceptional. Very fresh. There are two or three separate influences in the cuisine here. Certainly Italian, maybe I'm picking up both northern and southern Italian. But I think something else. There is a depth to the cuisine that deserves return visits. I want to sample everything. The ambience is youthful and exuberant, and although we were certainly not the only old folks at the restaurant, it was decidedly a hotspot for the 40 and under crowd. The fry oil was in need of a change as the calamari appetizer which was otherwise excellent smelled and tasted of old oil and dissonant flavors. As did the otherwise excellent squash blossoms that were stuffed with a marvelous cheese combination. Just a word about the bathroom, which is a delightful throwback to the 1930s which has a toilet with the pull chain, and was impeccably clean. The old fry oil aside, this restaurant is a destination spot.

After coming a few times recently, this isn't our top choice for a restaurant downtown but it's such a solid location for before shows or concerts that we keep giving it a try. The service is hit or miss, cocktails are delicious, food choices are good. Quality of the food hasn't blown us away lately. The half size portions are good for sharing. We had to ask for more than 1 small piece of bread last time. Pizzas are good and it's a great location still.

The restaurant looks small, but they can fit a lot of people inside and on their patio. The staff knew a lot about the menu when we had questions. They had one of the best charcuterie board I've ever had. The presentation and the options were great. We also had the arancini which was cooked perfectly. The menu had lots of pasta entrees to choose from. The Tortellini was very flavorful and the arrabbiata had just the right amount of spice. We were too full for dessert, but they sounded good.

Came here with a group of 14 and had a wonderful experience! Service was fantastic, our waitress was friendly and came by frequently to ensure we had everything we needed. Drinks: they have wine by the glass or bottle, cocktails, and more. I enjoyed the Pinot Grigio and a glass of the Super Tuscan. They serve wine in small glasses unless you request a wine glass with a stem. For appetizers our table enjoyed the calamari which came with tartar and cocktail sauces. I ordered the Pizza De Prosciutto Y Higo, which had jam, arugula, prosciutto, Gorgonzola, and balsamic. The combination of flavors were awesome! It came with 8 pieces which would make it a great appetizer for a large group, or to be shared between two people if you plan to get an appetizer with it. The restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere with 2 person, 4 person, and some larger tables, as well as a bar. Overall everything was great and I'd love to come here again one day.

Excellent cocktails, pizza and pasta. We shared a pizza and got half portion pastas. Great, authentic Neapolitan cuisine. We recommend it!

I've been for dinner- has anyone taken a child there / we have a 2 yr old that will be visiting for fathers day?

This place is okay for two year olds. But they dont have a kids menu. They do have some regular table seating in the back. They don't have booths menu wise. If your child likes pasta and some meat or veggies it shouldn't be an issue. Oh and I forgot…

Gluten free options? Any pizza or pasta?

We offer Gluten free pasta all of our preparations are also Gluten free.

We were in town attending a large national conference for families affected by their condition, and many conference attendees were also staying at the hotel. When we arrived, the restaurant appeared to be about 80% empty. Our children mentioned to the waitress that they were hungry and tired, and the first response we received was, "Do you have a reservation?" She explained that they couldn't seat us because they were expecting a large party. Instead of being seated at a regular table, we were directed to the bar area, where the bartender kindly took care of us despite the fact that our group included two minors. We stayed for over an hour, and during that time, the large party never arrived. Meanwhile, we watched other guests without reservations get seated at tables without any apparent issue. The experience left us feeling singled out and, ultimately, discriminated against. Whether that was the intention or not, it reflected a disappointing lack of empathy and inclusion--especially considering that so many families with children with disabilities were staying at the hotel for the conference. I'm giving Bella Ciao three stars because the food was decent, the portions were generous, and the bartender provided good service. Unfortunately, the way we were treated upon arrival overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable dining experience.

I took my son there for lunch the other day, and we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who as it turns out, I knew from his previous restaurants stops. I hadn't seen him in about 15 years, but I recognized him instantly. Great service, polite and courteous staff, and delicious fresh food, are my initial reactions. I was surprised how good the San Franco pizza was! I also had a bowl of Pasta Fasola which was outstanding. I live in the city of Buffalo between Delaware and Elmwood and there are many pizza places around here, plus, I grew up on Bocce on Bailey pizza. However, the Forno Napoli pizza now ruins all others for me. I have never been to Italy, but I imagine this is what pizza is like there. Authentic and fresh. I'm taking all 3 of my kids back there tonight. Trying their salads and pasta as well. This place was very busy on a weekday at 4pm, so it is not a secret. It is also not cheap. You are paying for the quality of the food, and it is worth it.

When you're ready to order, head up to the counter. After ordering, head back to your seat and the will bring you your food when it's ready. My friend had the meatball sandwich (napoletana panini). It looked fantastic. But when I asked his rating, he gave it 6/10 stars. However, I wouldn't trust anyone who doesn't like cheese so take it with a grain of salt I was torn between the Bianca and Quattro pizza so I asked the kind man at the register for his suggestion; he said the Bianca is more popular so I went with that. I enjoyed my pizza, although I wouldn't order this one again. I do want to say that it is pricey but you will get a very big pie of great quality. The dough was excellent! It was actually my favorite part and I've never said that about any pizza! Atmosphere is extremely casual. There's fruit infused waters to have and you go and grab them yourself (back right corner). But you can order bottles of soda, alcohol, etc. Also in the back right corner are small pizza boxes for leftovers you can grab if needed. They let us sample a few wines before deciding on a bottle, which was a local Niagara wine and delicious! Started with the focaccia, Caesar, and mozz sticks by popular demand. Incredible! Somehow the mozz sticks are perfectly melted inside and not like that string cheese you brought for lunch, definitely a much try. The Caesar was MASSIVE and arguably one of the best I've ever had. We brought more than half home. For entrees we had the chicken piccata, gnocchi with cream sauce, chicken parm and spaghetti. Everything was incredible, oddly enough with the exception of the chicken parm! It was served in a large bowl with sauce so it wasn't able to retain any crispiness and my husband did find it to be a bit bland. However the pastas and piccata were incredible. I think the parm would be massively improved with differently plating! We had affogato for dessert and the brownie with ice cream followed by an espresso martini which were all divine. Service was fast and efficient, which they need for such a tiny place! All in all a great first time at Rizzos, with wonderful traditional Italian flavors and incredible service to match. Would have preferred a crispier parm but portions are huge and we literally left with 6 takeout boxes! Can't wait to visit again!
