A hidden restaurant but such a gem! We really enjoyed the chicken lollipop and the chicken kebab frankie. (p.s you can order a chili chicken frankie that's not on the menu!)

Absolutely delicious and well worth the drive! I decided to go with my friends to have dinner and we enjoyed everything we had. The aloo and paner chilli frankies were mouthwatering, the chicken lollipops were fresh and delicious, the burnt garlic rice with chicken and hakka noodles with shrimp were tasty and thums up soda was refreshing. You order at the self check out register and grab your own plates and sauces. Utensils are at the table and water and cups were brought to us. We went later in the evening so service was fairly quick. The server was kind and efficient. The establishment was clean and bright. A delicious night out!

I roll into Frankie expecting fireworks... but it kinda fizzled out like a wig in the rain. Here's the deal: That Chicken Kebab Frankie? WRAPPER game on point. Thin, sturdy, held everything without falling apart--which is like expecting your pants to stay on at a party and it actually happens The noodles and chicken pops though? Man... DRY. It was like they were makin' 'em on austerity mode. I was halfway through the bowl and felt like dunking them noodles in my tears just for moisture Service was pretty okay. No wild highs, no dumpster fires. Just there. Like the chair you sit in when you're tired--but also kinda forgetting why you're there. So, would I come back? Maybe. If I'm craving a Frankie specifically, or my noodle lust is low-key--I might swing back. But if I'm hungry and thirsty for full flavor drama? I'd probably bail and hit somewhere that understands sauce. With today's prices, you can't be throwing away money on lackluster food, bruuuuuh! TL;DR: Mikey‑Scale Summary * Wraps: Legit, don't flake out. * Noodles & Pops: Dry AF. Need water. Or gravy. Matter of choice. * Vibe: Meh. Flavor needed to show up better.

We gave this another chance with the same exact order. This time it was mindblowing! 5 stars for the rice that was done so well!

TLDR: Great find for Mumbai style Indo -Chinese street food. The place hits the right spots with the limited menu street style Indo - Chinese restaurant. It's a quick service options with self-serve appeal. The staff was good and the ambiance was nice and pleasant for a Sunday lunch. Chicken Lollipop - 3.5/5 Burnt Chili Garlic Fried Rice - 4/5 Schezwan Noodles - 3.5/5 Paneer Chili Frankie - 4.5/5

Tucked in a corner of a small plaza, Frankie is an unassuming restaurant that I wasn't expecting too much from but I was intrigued by what frankies were so decided to give it a try. So glad I dragged my friend here-- it was delicious and I'll be back! We ordered the chicken lollipop and the meat was super juicy, fell off the bones, and the skin had that perfect crispy bite with just the right kick of spice. We also shared the chicken kebab frankie -- the chicken was a little firmer but still really flavorful, and the wrap itself was eggy and soft, almost reminded me of the wraps you'd find in East Asian/Taiwanese street food. Such a fun and tasty combo. Would definitely come back to try more dishes!

Came by for a quick dinner for some indo-Chinese food. Only a few parties at the restaurant at 630pm on a Friday so I assume it never gets too busy. Based on other yelp reviews we got the Hakka noodles added chicken, the chicken kebab Frankie, and the chicken lollipop. Once you choose what you want to eat, you order at the counter. There's a side bar that has plates, cups, utensils, to go containers, so it's all self-service. Chicken kebab Frankie - 5/5 - this was the best dish and tastes like a butter chicken wrap Hakka noodles with chicken - 3.5/5 - tasted pretty good and large portions but quite oily Chicken lollipop 3.5/5 - skin was well fried and some pieces were juicy while others were a little dry. Pretty oily as well All the dishes come with a small dish of some sort of chili oil. I do like that all the flavors in the food were pretty strong. That being said, they are all prepared in an oily manner and you won't feel great after eating it even though it is tasty in the moment. Wouldn't mind coming back if I was looking for indo-Chinese food fast.

The Frankie at this place was really good! The wrapper was super thin and didn't fall apart. The noodles were spicy and yummy. The host was very nice and gave me some extra sauce that I relished! The chicken kabab seemed a little harder. Limited menu - but it hit the spot with the Chinese flavors from India! They have made an effort with the indoor for a fast food joint - but also have left over decor from the old Chinese restaurant. It's cute - since they are catering food items that we call 'Indo Chinese' food items :)

Frankie is the sister restaurant to a bunch of authentic Indian places: Puranpoli, SOLKADH, and SURMA. It's indo-Chinese meaning that is Chinese food made the way they make it in India. Now I've never been to India, but it seems authentic to me for whatever that's worth lol. They make the spicy stuff spicy . It is a very casual restaurant you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. They have wood tables and you have to go outside to get to the bathroom.

I visited Frankie Restaurant on a Friday evening. It's a decent spot to hang out with friends--nothing too fancy, with casual music playing in the background, though it was a bit loud at times. It's a self-service restaurant, but the service is good. We ordered the burnt garlic fried rice, which was quite good and came in generous portions. The chilli chicken was also decent. Overall, it's a casual place for a relaxed evening with friends--not exceptional, but good enough for a laid-back outing.

Newly opened sister restaurant to Puranpoli and Surmai, located in a quiet strip mall close to Costco Sunnyvale. We visited early Friday evening and found a couple of tables taken up. The vibe indoors is more of a cafe. We were given the menus for browsing and requested to order at the counter when ready. We found an interesting item Veg Chowmein Samosa. Unfortunately, it wasn't available. We loved the Chicken Lollipops, reminded us of Chinese cuisine restaurants in India. The Chicken Kebab had the right balance of flavors and the best Frankie I've had in the Bay Area. Veg Manchurian fry was delicious as well. The menu could do with a few more drink options than just soda. Wish the restaurant all the best!

We had dinner here last night for the second time (which is always a good sign when you want to keep going). We previously had already gone to their sister restaurant Surmai a few times and noticed that their Sichuan fried rice disappeared from the menu and mentioned it to the server there and that was when we were told that we would be able to get it at their sister restaurant Frankie. True to its name, we have been ordering their frankies off the menu. Last night we ordered their chilli paneer frankie as well as their chicken kebab frankie. We still liked their chicken kebab frankie better but they were both delicious as was the rest of dinner (we tried their burnt garlic fried rice instead of the sichuan fried rice + their chicken lollipops). Although you order at the register, they do bring you your food to the table. And the staff asked us if we would like a bag for our leftovers as we were putting some in the to-go containers they have and brought one over. So it's a nice combination of good service that they still give you while also having a casual approach where you can grab things as you need/want from a table where they have things like extra plates & utensils.

3.5*s and rounding down for now. Went on a Friday. There was a line all the way to the entrance. We spent some time figuring out the protocol. Looks like we should get a table and then place an order at the counter. Since it was not clear, we just stood in line and people who got a table kept cutting the line. It's mostly self service, after placing the order and providing them the table number, one can pick up some cutlery and plates from the self serve counter. We placed an order for 3 frankies, one fried rice and one noodles. Two frankies came out within 5 mins and the rest of our order took 45 mins to come out and two trips to the front desk wondering what went wrong. Can't blame the folks working there, they were understaffed to take care of the Friday rush and take out orders. **Chicken kebab Frankie-4/5- well cooked and flavorful chicken in a wrap with a spicy mayo dip on the side, other than chicken were was nothing else in the wrap. I had seen other reviews mention the wrap had onions, greens etc but the ones we were served just had chicken. **chilli paneer Frankie-3/5- indo Chinese style paneer Frankie, the paneer was tough and it was tossed in some onions and peppers which were way too raw. **schezuan noodles with chicken-3.5/5- noodles were way too soft, atleast the sauce adhered to the noodles and it was not a wet mess. There was no textural play but flavors were decent and chicken didn't taste funky. **burnt garlic fried rice-3.5/5- they had real burnt pieces of garlic. I was expecting more of crispy well cooked garlic. They used long slices of onions in the dish which went limp and rendered the dish soggy.

When we arrived, the place was empty, but it began to fill up after we were seated. A kind young man showed us to a table and brought us menus and some water. It's beautiful inside. It's a long and narrow space and they have plenty of seating options for small and large groups. The chairs are covered in soft colorful velvet. They were very comfortable to sit in. There is a beautiful painting of a young woman wearing traditional clothing. There is a full bar with seating at the counter. The chandeliers are gorgeous and I loved the colorful umbrellas hanging upside down from the ceiling. Our waiter, Shreeshant, was beyond friendly. He was so kind and attentive to our needs. He gave us some recommendations for appetizers, which I really appreciated. We ordered the Chicken Tandoori Momo's (6 per order), per his recommendation. We also ordered the veggie samosas (2 per order). For our mains we ordered the Dum Biryani with shrimp, chicken korma, eggplant curry and butter naan. I really loved that you can customize your heat level with all the main dishes. We ordered all our dishes mild spice. First to come out was the Chicken Tandoori Momos and the veggie samosa. The momos came out sizzling on a cast iron skillet with onions and peppers underneath them. These came with a mild sauce to accompany them. The samosas came with three different sauces. The sauces were tamarind, mint and a spicy sauce. My favorite was the chicken momos. They were so flavorful from the inside to the outside. They have a tandoori flavor on the exterior and the sauce that it came with paired well with it. The samosas were also very good. I liked the mint sauce best, with the samosas. My husband liked the spicy sauce. I would definitely order both of these again. Next our main dishes came out. They also gave us some plain basmati rice with our food. The dum biryani with shrimp was so good. It's a very large portion. The shrimp were delicious. The chicken korma was creamy and rich from the pureed cashews. It went great with the naan. The eggplant curry was the most mild out of all the dishes. There were three cooked baby eggplants in a coconut curry sauce. I would say the sauce had more of a coconut flavor that stood out. It was good. The naan went well with everything really. We couldn't finish all that we ordered. We were given takeout boxes for our leftovers. We will be eating very good again with these leftovers. I really love their menu here. It's extensive with many different offerings. A big thank you to the staff for their excellent hospitality. We look forward to returning for more meals.
