Overall, we had a good meal. The black pepper beef was definitely the highlight. It's one of my husband's favourite dishes, and he said this was the best version he's ever had. The beef was tender and coated in an addictive sauce, while the onions complemented it perfectly. The green beans were also good, although the XO sauce was spicier than what I'm used to. They were supposed to be cooked with minced pork, but there was barely any in the dish. The beef chow fun was just okay--I've had better elsewhere, so I'll probably skip it next time. Wow returned 16 years later for dinner. We actually wanted to dine at another place in the same plaza but they were closed. We came here for dinner instead. Seated quickly and was given menus. We had to flag someone down and the lady decided to comment that we ordered too much carbs... I'm like okay... We ordered a fried sticky rice, e-noodles, and a seafood clay pot. Thank god for the complimentary salted peanuts or we would be starving. We waited over 25 minutes for our food. Large quantity which was the only saving grace from this long wait. What we ordered: House Special Chili Crab 1/2 Roasted Duck Beef Ribs with Black Pepper Sauce Stir-Fried Chinese Tender Greens Overall, the food was okay. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing really stood out either. The portions were generous, and we had more than enough food for 4 adults. My favorite dish was the beef ribs. The meat was tender, and the black pepper sauce was flavorful. The roasted duck was okay, my mom liked the dipping sauce. The chili crab was the most expensive dish since it's charged at market price, but the seasoning was well balanced and not too spicy. I just forgot how much work it is to crack the shell and get all the meat out, but that's on us for ordering crab! Decent dim sum, mediocre service in a nice enough atmosphere. When we were seated at our table, we thought the only way to get food was off the rolling carts. Whatever dim sum dishes were in the carts were good but the carts do not serve everything the restaurant actually has to offer. They never provided the menu with photos where you can indicate how many orders of each item to get and I didn't even see those menus until we paid and were leaving the restaurant. The menus were in a table near the cashier which we did not walk by when we were seated. The staff has limited English which was challenging for non-Chinese speakers. At 10:50, there was a huge crowd of people waiting to be seated, 30+ and 20+ orders to go. We did not get our order until after 12:10. They forgot our bbq pork buns. We called and they will credit our cc. Fook kin rice was good. Salt & pepper pork was a little soggy. Dim sum was okay. All of it was not hot and fresh. We were not given the menu, just ordered dim sum items from the cart. We shared a total of 8 or 9 items; most of them were pretty tasty with decent ingredients. Shrimp dumpling - Large, the skin broke on some Siu-Mai - good / ok Tofu skin roll - one of our favorites Chicken feet - four large chicken feet, plump, tender and tasty. excellent Shrimp rice roll - good, portion is on the smaller side Steamed rice in lotus leaf - good Turnip cake - large pieces, texture is on the harder side Egg tart - very good Although I appreciate the dim sum push carts as it's more traditional but probably because the first batch of items sat for a while in the cart, they were not as hot as I'd like compared to 'cook to order' places. I've been here before for a dine-in lunch as well as 2 takeout orders. The dine in experience was during a weekday and it was great. We sat in a private room and someone was attentive and got us our orders at a rapid speed. We did have someone in our party who spoke fluent Cantonese which helped a lot. My last two times here was for dim sum takeout orders, and I honestly do not recommend ordering takeout. Both times were mediocre. The most recent time, we ordered 5 standard dim sum items on our phone while we were outside the restaurant. We ended up waiting at least 40 minutes for our food to be ready. When we asked for an update around the 30 minute mark, the lady at the counter was so unhelpful. Just said it's not ready without actually checking and then she turned away and ignored me. When we finally got our food, we ate it within 10 minutes, and the food was already lukewarm/almost cold. It was not worth the wait. Note ordering online has a $1 convenience fee. You wait for your takeout bag to be available on the long table inside, and then you take it to the nearby counter and pay there. Utensils and napkins are not automatically included in your bag. If we decide to come back, it would only be for dine in service. Never again for take out. read more

This is one of my family's go to Dim Sum places. Gets pretty busy on the weekend, but I was able to walk in with no wait on Saturday at 1pm. They still do the traditional push carts. Golden Salted Egg Pumpkin Shrimp: Best dish of the night! Sweet pumpkin wrapped in a crispy shell infused with salted egg yolk aroma, plus big, crunchy fried shrimp inside ! I'm a huge fan of salted egg yolk so absolutely delicious and highly recommended! Their fried rice portions are huge and super tasty -- just look at the pictures! I even had enough leftovers to bring for lunch the next day. Highly recommend their black truffle fried rice!! We also ordered geoduck and stir-fried crab -- both very fresh! We have ordered that for the table . The food were good and service was 5/5 . The restaurant has a nice ambience and the walls are beautifully decorated with different theme on each walls . Dim sum lunch is always crowded, regular service at dinner always has space because it is massive (the type of Chinese restaurant people have weddings at). Dim sum at lunch is good, although they sell out of deserts fast. Favorites are the ssiu mai and salted egg buns & pork wrapped in tofu skin. For dinner, their soup of the day is solid and I always have to get the chicken and snow pea greens in fish broth. Cant really go wrong with anything on the menu though. My family has been coming here for dimsum for years now, and while it's not our go-to spot, there are some solid options here! We always try to arrive early for the first seating since the wait can get pretty long if you miss it. On this latest trip, our first round (snowy taro buns, taro puff, bbq pork steam bun, shrimp dumpling, turnip cake, sesame ball with red bean) was SOLID but everything after that (pork ribs, egg custard bun, salted egg bun, tripe) was a bit of a let down. In true southeast Asian dimsum style, sauces (soy, vinegar, chili paste) were provided at the table. Some favorites of mine include the snowy taro bun (crisp top!) and the taro puff. Onto the downsides: on this trip, a lot of the food looked pretty inconsistent (e.g. some items were bigger/smaller than others, or more browned/toasted). If you're seated by the wall, some carts will totally bypass you and you're expected to walk over to see what's there! Our egg custard buns were mushy on the outside, and the salted egg ones were solid/oily inside. Takeout boxes are self-serve which may not be evident as well. Overall, decent dimsum but if I had to wait I'd recommend going somewhere else. read more

We arrived around 1 PM on a Sunday and were told it would be a 20-25 minute wait. That was fine. But when we were seated we noticed the carts did not have much food. So we ordered 4 dim sum items off the menu. No one told us how long it would take to get these items. We ordered traditional dim sum items and at most dim sum places it would just take a few minutes. But after 20 minutes, nothing had arrived. We asked one of the workers and he angrily told us it takes a long time to prepare them. After 5 minutes one item showed up. But after waiting 20 minutes we decided to leave. As we were paying the bill, another item showed up so we just took it home. What bothered me most was no one apologized for the long wait, offered to somehow compensate, etc. They just acted like another day at Saigon Seafood Harbor. read more

The servers are on point. The food that comes round has great selection. I would suggest to come around 11am, that's when they start serving a lot of entrees versus dim-sum. I wish their Chilli oil was a little more spicy. It is a little on the pricier side then most dim sum, but I think the selection makes of for it, cause there so many to choose. Saigon Seafood Harbor was a pretty overwhelming experience for us. When we arrived, there was no menu, and instead servers came around with carts. We weren't really sure how ordering worked, and since the staff didn't speak much English, it was hard to ask questions. They also seemed a bit annoyed by us, which made the experience uncomfortable. Because of that, we only ended up trying the pork and shrimp dumplings. On the positive side, those were actually really good -- great flavor and definitely the highlight of our visit. Woke up this morning and was craving for some old schooled (and expensive) dim sum so we came by here for brunch. It's usually not that crowded if you arrive before 11am but today we saw a crowd of people already waiting outside. Probably due to Spring Break? We waited for about 20 min and got seated. This is one of the few dim sum places that still have the old schooled dim sum carts which we really enjoy seeing and experiencing. The restaurant is always pretty loud and full of chatters from everyone. The dim sum dishes are decent and really hit the spot. Ambiance: it's in an old strip mall so the space is definitely dated however... we felt transported back to Hong Kong with the noise, pushy service, lots of clatter. Food: larger sizes of the dumplings which does translate to larger prices but everything was hot and fresh and very tasty. They do have carts, but I think because we were on the later side, we ordered from the menu. Items came sporadically vs all at once, which we appreciated. I'm sure this spot is one of a few left that still pushes carts around for dimsum. We got seated pretty quick the first hour of opening. It started getting busy quite quickly. I would recommend chicken feet, egg yolks bun, siu mai, roasted duck instead of pork, veggies, shrimp tofu. Some of the food came out a bit later so we weren't able to try so that's a minus since we wanted to try some dishes that came out later. Overall, the restaurant has a good amount of tables. Assisting the marginalized during lent Wednesday, February 18, 2026 commenced the start of Lent with Ash Wednesday. The altar servers wore their new purple tassel for the first time this year. I went to volunteer at Vita after Father Pedro gave me a deformed cross on my forehead. My professor stared at my forehead (even though I strategically covered the ashes with bangs) the whole day. She wanted to ask me about my black forehead but was too nice and politically correct to say anything. Her eyes constantly drifted above my eyebrows. The ashes are made from burnt palm leaves from Palm Sunday. He blessed it with Holy Water. Aaron said that the priest put handfuls of water into the small glass containers of ashes. This made it easy for us to distribute the ashes. "When administering ashes on Ash Wednesday, priests and ministers say one of two phrases while tracing a cross on a person's forehead: "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return" (based on Genesis 3:19) or "Repent and believe in the Gospel" (Mark 1:15). These phrases emphasize repentance, human mortality, and the beginning of the Lenten season. " To make the line go faster, every time I put the symbols of a cross on someone's forehead, I said, Repent and Believe...." My crosses were small, proportional and very cute. Father Pedro made HUGE graffiti like tire marks. lol He wanted to remind everyone that they definitely will be dust one day. Our bodies are vessels; what lives on forever is our souls. The boys spent most of this week in church. Saturdays, Sundays, Lunar New Year and now Ash Wednesday. They woke up early to serve at 10am mass that Vivian was coordinating for Ash Wednesday. It was not my mass and my original role was just to be their Uber driver. They wanted to serve the Lord. Who was I to deny their desires to be his faithful servants? Ironically, I have become their slave. God works in mysterious ways to humble you. For their hard work, I took them to eat Dim Sum at Saigon Seafood in Sunnyvale. This place has the best dim sum. Their dinner menu is large and includes some of my favorite like deep fried crab in salty egg yolks. I also like their egg tofu with sweet snap peas sautéed in garlic. We ordered vermicelli with beef (I need Vitamin B12 and I didn't have any clams on Sunday night at CA Milpitas Buffet) and it was so good!!!! "In Chinese culture, the fish (鱼, yú) is a powerful symbol for Lunar New Year representing abundance, surplus, and prosperity. Because the word for fish sounds like the word for "surplus" or "abundance" (yú), eating fish, serving it, or using decorations ensures that families have more than enough in the coming year." Back in the day when meat costed more than fish, people did not buy meat and gave the extra money away to less fortunate people than them. This is called almsgiving, it "is the voluntary act of donating money, goods, or time to the poor and needy as an expression of charity, justice, and religious devotion". I was so wrong for indulging in Newport Seafood style lobster with garlic noodle when I was younger (last year ...yikes). Simon is a skinny kid. He normally doesn't eat a lot. Every time the waitresses put down a hot bamboo basket, I reminded him, "Simon, there is meat in that dish". By the end of the meal, he was picking off the skin off of the chicken feet. I said,, "That is part of the chicken..." Then he got desperate and started nibbling the nails of the chicken, truly believing that it did not count as meat. At the end of the day, he asked me to take them to dinner. Unfortunately, we are suppose to only have one full meal a day. I threatened to tell Kimmie that he was breaking all of the rules. I gave in and took them to Móc Delight for snacks. The poor kid was hungry. It is funny how humans want what we can't have.... Not being able to eat meat, makes us CRAVE for beef. Extremely poor service. We waited 30 minutes for menus despite an empty dining room, and most of our order never arrived without any explanation from the staff. All the staff somehow have a bad day and give so bad attitude. We had to go to the counter ourselves just to pay the bill even asking for that over and over and all lady point randomly someone will but 20 more minutes, no one even care. Chang fen (rice noodle roll) was silky with incredible beef filling. The minced beef mixed with chopped water chestnut and aged tangerine peel was uniquely prepared. I rarely have this combination. The crunchy texture of the nut and the herbal bitter citrusy taste of Chenpi, while both aiding digestive system, were a great addition to the red meat. What a medicinal treat! I absolutely loved it! One of my favorites was the chicken feet, the flavor was right on the mark, so good! Indeed, everything was fantastic! I really enjoyed the food so did my family. Service was ok. A dim sum auntie was super friendly and nice to me, so I packed a bowl of pork belly soup to go just for her. The hostess ouside was fair in her job.
