3.5 stars We decided to have an early lunch here after learning about the recent ownership change; my last visit was many years ago and it was not the best experience. The restaurant looked pretty much the same as I remembered. Arrived soon after they opened at 11, we were told to pick our table. The dim sum push cart came around very quickly after we were seated. We were not given the menu, just ordered dim sum items from the cart. We shared a total of 8 or 9 items; most of them were pretty tasty with decent ingredients. Shrimp dumpling - Large, the skin broke on some Siu-Mai - good / ok Tofu skin roll - one of our favorites Chicken feet - four large chicken feet, plump, tender and tasty. excellent Shrimp rice roll - good, portion is on the smaller side Steamed rice in lotus leaf - good Turnip cake - large pieces, texture is on the harder side Egg tart - very good Although I appreciate the dim sum push carts as it's more traditional but probably because the first batch of items sat for a while in the cart, they were not as hot as I'd like compared to 'cook to order' places. The restaurant filled up nicely around noon which is good to see, dishes from regular menu we saw on other tables looked interesting and served in good portions. Overall, we had an enjoyable lunch with good tasting food and friendly service, price is comparable to other restaurants in the area. Easy parking is a plus. Would like to come back and try the regular menu items.

Pros: * The dim sum authentic and they push carts around. * The food comes out super quickly. Cons: * The place feels dirty. * Tea is weak and tastes like tap water. * One of the deep-fried dim sum was brought out COLD :( When we asked for it to be heated, they just stuck it in the microwave so it was soggy! This was a pretty bug turn off.

There was a wait to be seated, and some people were getting seated on shared tables as well. Once you finally get in, you order from the carts that they roll around the restaurant. Each cart has different dishes, and not everything on the menu is on these carts. I wanted the lava custard buns (lau sa bao) and I had to wait for a very very long time for them. Everytime I checked in they'd say it's almost coming out, and that's how they tricked me into waiting for so long at the restaurant. Prices were high, 3 people bill came out to be $80+

Golden Salted Egg Pumpkin Shrimp: Best dish of the night! Sweet pumpkin wrapped in a crispy shell infused with salted egg yolk aroma, plus big, crunchy fried shrimp inside ! I'm a huge fan of salted egg yolk so absolutely delicious and highly recommended! Their fried rice portions are huge and super tasty -- just look at the pictures! I even had enough leftovers to bring for lunch the next day. Highly recommend their black truffle fried rice!! We also ordered geoduck and stir-fried crab -- both very fresh! You can actually see the live seafood before they cook it in the kitchen. One thing that really touched me was there was one time when my boyfriend and I went just the two of us -- even though we were the only table that night, they still made a pot of soup just for us. So thoughtful

A dinner gathering with seven friends . We ordered one of the set dinner on the brochure. It was written in beautiful Chinese brush calligraphy with a poem next to the menu . We have ordered that for the table . The food were good and service was 5/5 . The restaurant has a nice ambience and the walls are beautifully decorated with different theme on each walls . Our set dinner had 6 different dishes : Peking duck with bao and sauce Stir fry fish filet with lotus roots Stir fry lobster in golden broth Fish tofu with mushrooms over green snow sprouts tips Giant size chicken and coconut soup freshly cooked on table top Eight treasures fried rice in clay pot . All these for $168 one set . Portions were generous and the tastes were great . Given a 5/5 star and everyone should come to try the food here !

Dim sum lunch is always crowded, regular service at dinner always has space because it is massive (the type of Chinese restaurant people have weddings at). Dim sum at lunch is good, although they sell out of deserts fast. Favorites are the ssiu mai and salted egg buns & pork wrapped in tofu skin. For dinner, their soup of the day is solid and I always have to get the chicken and snow pea greens in fish broth. Cant really go wrong with anything on the menu though. They can try to skimp out on the soup (order and medium and they give u a small) so watch for that! But otherwise pleasant and knowledgeable service.

The servers are on point. The food that comes round has great selection. I would suggest to come around 11am, that's when they start serving a lot of entrees versus dim-sum. I wish their Chilli oil was a little more spicy. It is a little on the pricier side then most dim sum, but I think the selection makes of for it, cause there so many to choose. Always happy leaving here!

My family has been going here for years but today for sure gonna be our last time. They charged us for one extra dish, i know today is holiday so it was chaos and i understand. I nicely talked and tried to explain to them that i was charged for one extra. The way owner treated me is like i was cheating for that $10-$15 dish. I had to show evidence, luckily i did take picture of the order card before and after, he finally refunded me the extra dish, with an attitude like he was doing me a favor and not even a little chance to accept that was their mistake. $10-$15 with all the fuss is NOT worth it but I DO NOT let them charge for what i dont have. Still left $10 tip even tho i could've just left with 0.

Dim sum served by the cart, this is great. We had siu mai (very flavorful), shrimp dumplings (the skin was too thick and the shrimp were lack of flavor). Crispy pork belly was great with the crispy skin and layers fat and meat. Steamed pork ribs were the best thing ever, flavorful and less bones, meat was tender and juicy I also had the coconut chicken soup, it's great. Mango pudding was just average

Dishonest pricing and terrible service! Watch your receipt. This was a ridiculous experience from start to finish. I'd give it zero stars if I could. The food was mediocre at best, and the service was nonexistent. The most frustrating part was the bill. They gave me the bill which comes out to $100.12 and I gave them my card. I then received the receipt and discovered they include a tip charge when they charged my card before I could even give them a tip. Let me tip you on my own terms....

This restaurant serves dim sum and also Hongkong style dishes. I have been here couple times for dimsum and dinner. This restaurant used to be popular couple years a go. I remember we have to wait for table. This is one of dimsum place in bay area which still use cart and you can get the dimsum directly from the moving cart. Many bay area dimsum restaurant have stopped doing it for many years. The food is ok. The dimsum is good. Price wise I think is comparable with other dimsum place.

Arrived a few minutes after opening on a Saturday and the place was about 25 percent full. They still use carts and there was lots of variety, although more items came out after 11:00 or so. Service is super efficient here.

It is good for us that we live near Saigon Seafood that we can quickly hop over for delicious dim sum. The quality of the food is consistently good as is the value. Saigon Seafood is certainly popular with the locals as it draws a good crowd so come early, I'd say before 11:00, if you dislike waiting past 10 mins for delicious dim sum. These are my go-to orders here: sui mai, har gow, lor bak gou, ha cheung, lor mai gai, feng zhao and the egg tarts.

We knew to go early, since they don't take reservations and we often see lines outside. We arrived at 10:30am and the front manager said if we can be done my 12:30, that they had a table for us. Party of 12, since we got there early, we agreed. The side room had the biggest round table for us. They ask you what kind of tea you want, we like chrysanthemum tea. You order the items on the paper menu and it comes to your table. So we got going on the orders and TBH, we must be hungry, because we did a lot of orders (we had plenty of left overs). Tried some favorites and a few new items that we thought were unique to their restaurant. My dad has to order crispy noodle and chow fun, and we also ordered chicken fried rice. The service was prompt and attentive, with enough servers to take care of the side room. Since it was the "sun room", the sun was shining through the windows and it was bright. Review from my parents: it was just meh, they prefer the other place near our house. I think the food is good, but probably won't come back again with a big group of us, since they don't have many big round tables. And personally, I prefer the whole experience of the ladies coming around with their carts. Perhaps their dinner menu is also worth trying. Bonus for us is that we can literally walk to this restaurant. Parking could be an issue if you come later.

Anyway, we were shopping in the area and decided to stop by for a dim sum lunch. The restaurant was not very busy so we got seated right away. We placed our order via the order sheet. No carts since it was a weekeday. We had our usual Char Siew bun (steamed), Soy sauce Chow Mein, Chinese donut rolled in soft noodles, pan fried chive dumplings, Lo Mai Kai (steamed rice in lotus leaves), stuffed peppers, and sesame balls. This is one of the few dim sum restaurants that serve the stuffed peppers. Food was generally good. I love the hot sauce they have at the table. We literally devoured it! I had forgotten how delicious the stuffed peppers were - they still taste great! Steamed Char Siew bun was a little disappointing - too much bun (bao) and not enough filling. The char siew was also rather tough and tasted rather bland. The chinese donut in steam noodles was good and the chow Mein was tasty. Sesame balls (my favorite dim sum dessert) was not too bad. could have been better if it was warmer. Service was OK. I feel that the servers are sometimes rather grumpy - could be the reason why we stopped coming here. Prices are also a little steep compared to what you got - smaller portions.

The decor and ambiance is nice - very spacious and elegant. You can join the waitlist from Yelp - always a plus. Highlights: the har gow were plump with large pieces of shrimp and minimal filler. The dumpling skin was on the thicker side (I don't mind it but my wife likes thinner skins.) Maybe that was needed because of how big these were - really packed with shrimp. The mango pudding was delicious and reminded us of childhood, and the shrimp noodle roll was great. Lowlight: I was less happy with the xiaolongbao - there are so many good options for these in the South Bay that this meager interpretation was frankly bordering on blasphemy. I would not order those again. The steamed char siu bao were far better but still could've used more pork in the filling and were slightly soggy and over steamed. We also had the beef chow fun which was excellent with smoky wok hei flavor. Overall a good place for dim sum but avoid the xiaolongbao.
