ça c'est bon I had a cheeseburger on Genova Roll and it was absolutely exquisite! The meat was formed into a ball, cooked well but still tender and freshly crisp from the grill on the outside. I would have preferred medium. Lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and the roll...if you don't know Genova makes the best bread in Stockton. Anybody wanna ditto dat? My side was onion rings which was so hoooottt...it was fire! When onions are fresh you can bite through the ring and not pull the whole ring through the coating...that is exactly what I got. Franks is exactly how your mind dreams it should be. Small (town). Clean. Wholesome and simple. The exact ingredients needed to make anyone feel at ease and trustful as soon as you walk in the doors. Franks is small. There are approximately five tables which seat up to four persons and approximately eight two person booths on either side of the restaurant. Being such a small place, service is fast and efficient. Drink and food orders are taken with moments. The same goes when your drink and food orders are delivered within moments after you order. Menu items are basic for both breakfast and lunch. Omelets, Skillets, Hot Cakes and Waffles for breakfast and, Salads, Hamburgers with Fries for lunch. I did see a few non traditional items on the menu like, Burritos and Nachos. But nothing outrageous and crazy beyond that. The interior and tables were very clean and well kept and, every hot sauce, jelly and syrup you could possibly wish for were available for use. There are two televisions hung on opposite walls so they can be viewed by everyone wishing to watch them and, classic oldies music played at a low tone in the background while guest talked, ate and enjoyed their meals. Breakfast for the win! Arrived around 10am and it was slow, we were seated immediately. The customer service was great and consistent with all staff members. Our drink orders were taken as soon as we were seated. They have a lot of options for breakfast and lunch! The food came out within 10-15 minutes and it was all fresh and looked amazing. Came here about a month ago and I was completely turned off! It was busy and we waited to be seated. The lady outside putting names down was amazing! After we were done dining we paid with $10 cash toward the bill and the rest on the credit card. The waitress took it and when gave us the receipt back she did not put $10 towards the bill and said there was no $10 bill. Everyone looked for it and nowhere to be found. She did not give us $10 back and I don't know if she took it for herself or they accidentally put in the drawer but that was upsetting that she didn't come back to our table to resolve or make eye contact. I couldn't believe they didn't give us the $10 back. So we walked out and I'm not sure I'll be back here again. read more

Manteca is a rare city for us to step into; we usually just come to get our pups groomed nearby. 1 star dropped immediately for a 3.5% "Admin fee" added to my tab. I consider this a bait and switch for the prices they advertise in their menu. This "admin fee" was before I even declared my method of payment so it's not even related to credit card fees. The food was of decent but nothing that seemed exceeding special especially when related to a $17 price tag for an omlette. At that price I expect something better than what I recieved. The gravy for the biscuit was pretty poor, but to me fair most restaurants fail miserably when it comes to making gravy. It's not hard. Cook ground breakfast sausage, add some flour to the saugage grease add some oil if needed, brown the flour add milk and cook until thickened, add salt and pepper to season. This gravy tasted like they opened a packet and followed directions. The restaurant was clean and even had some charm. The service was good. read more

I loved this place! It was extremely cute with excellent customer service. The building was small, but seemed extremely clean. We were seated very quick and our food was brought out very fast. I ordered the French Toast. I enjoyed it. It was very tasteful and delicious. They seemed to have a lot on their menu which is great and it seemed to be highly customizable. This our second time coming and I really would like to leave more stars but service is Big one for me. We got the same waiter yesterday and today. Not the best service both times.. the waiters kind of take their time and stay distracted chatting up with friends or regular customers and have conversations while we needed syrup, coffee never got refilled, and creamer took a little while to come out. I'm only leaving 2 stars because the food is pretty good for a little cafe spot. Definitely need to improve service and attention. read more
