The avocado bubble tea was poor but the food was great. My daughter chose the french toast based on review photos. They showed layers of whipped cream and drizzled sauce which matched our experience too. The photos did it justice. On this visit we missed picking up honey buns. I guess we will catch them next time. Well worth the stop.

I was here for an overnight trip in Victoria with my bf and we got up early Monday morning looking for breakfast without a clue of where to go and started wandering in the rain. We didn't know where to go and just wandered around...lemme tell you, nothing is open before 11am haha. We found Honeybun and went in. It's owned by Chinese people and has a fusion of Chinese and American food. The prices were cheap and the food is tasty! We got standard American breakfast and definitely couldn't complain; it's basically what you expect when you make breakfast at home =) The lady that works there is friendly and works WAY too hard! She was taking care of everything in the front by herself, from taking orders, serving, cleaning, cashier, and making drinks, while 1 other person was in the back making food. Major props to this lady! Oh!! and the bubbletea here is awesome!! It's not often that places put actual tea in their drinks. Completely deliciousss! Although the food took a while to come out, I can't complain since I saw how hard they were working and couldn't believe how friendly she could still be. The lady never got stressed out! I definitely enjoyed my experience here and wish I could have tried the Chinese food here for lunch.

I absolutely love Frank's, particularly on a cold fall afternoon. They have, in my opinion, the best Won Ton soup going. Unlike other establishments that is more broth than Won Ton, Frank's is teeming with them. And the veggies in the broth are fresh and slightly crunchy, just the way I like them. My only complaint about Frank's is they run out of the BBQ pork buns too frequently for me, so try one if they have them. I also love dining in at Frank's, they have the best window seats for watching the always interesting downtown goings on. Oh, and did I mention lunch can be found here for well under a ten spot?

The scrambled eggs and sausage were just okay. The eggs were melded together and not fluffy at all. The sausage was very fatty.

Price was fair. Wait was long but it was busy. Good food. Staff were good. Lots of good options.

There was no way that I could review it solely on the pastry received during our BC Bites & Sights tour. We met Dorothy who gave us a warm welcome. She provides a creative space, as well as an opportunity to those who need that inspiration. It's a unique work program! So, please have a heart when you experience slower than usual service. It may be a newcomer in training. We have all been there at some point in our lives. I love the creativity here! It's not just about coffee. They serve fresh out of the oven pizzas. We didn't get to see the bread and bannock. I really would have loved to try bannock which is sort of the Scottish precursor to the Native American fry bread (but, not really). You'll just have to read about it. What we did try was a pastry with custard, strawberries, and rhubarb. It was very good. I especially loved the rhubarb. I was also in love with the plants in the garden. It overlooks a park, and it's very close to Fisherman's Wharf. A great location! It's true that we only got a small taste of Victoria, but it did leave a lasting impression. There's so much more to this capital city that needs to be explored in more detail. Hopefully, we'll get that chance one day in the future.

Despite our side quest, my husband still told me he enjoyed every second of that tea lunch and had a great time. They do a really good job about decorating it making it feel very authentic, and the tea was delicious and they really went above and beyond to explain everything that we were receiving.
