    Pepperoni stuffed bread, thinnest ever.

We ordered two different stuffed breads. Picked them up with disappointment: they were so thin, like two flatbreads sandwiched. Not worth the $38 for two. Called to let them know and they weren't very receptive to the criticism, like our feedback didn't matter. They also messed up a pizza order couple weeks ago, so we're done with them... too bad, because I want businesses to succeed, and they used to be so good.

My grandparents have been going here for years- presentation was much better than I remembered. Portions are very generous for the price, though the eggplant and chicken parm etc dont seem to have pasta included (though $20 for bread, salad. and large portions still seems to be a good deal). Home made fried mozzarella is always goor. wait staff was friendly and quick. not very full on a friday night but area seems clean and set up nicely.

Always great food here. We mostly like the pizza, but we have been branching out to try the rest of the menu. I had the grilled honey salmon VERY good! And my DH got the baby spinach salad with chicken. You can tell by the picture that there was so much chicken I almost couldn't see the salad!! My son had his favorite cheese pizza. This place never disappoints!

I haven't been to Fratelli's in about 20 years and have fond memories from back then... however I heard they are under new ownership and wanted to give them a try... and was not disappointed. The quality of the dishes are way up, my cutlet and my eggplant were perfect and super crispy. Sauce was great, the mandolin potatoes au gratin were a very nice touch. For some reason, finding great Italian in the Wallingford area has been tough for while, but not anymore! I just found my regular weekly Italian spot to get a solid meal. 100% will be back as a regular.

Service was OK. I think because I tipped at the time of the order the food was brought to the table. The woman was on the phone when we got there, so we waited a little but it was ok. It was all just ok. The pizza we ordered was burnt and not the good kind of char you expect from a brick oven (and as someone who loves Pepe's, I hope I know the difference). Still, we ate it because we had already paid, and we didn't have time to go anywhere else. The salad was just okay, though I will say the ranch dressing tasted homemade, which was a nice touch. The bacon was stale The biggest downside was the cleanliness. The restaurant was dusty and dirty. There was a steady stream of people coming in and out for takeout orders the whole time we were there, which makes me wonder if our experience was just a fluke, or if the regulars simply like it that way. As we were leaving, my son turned to me and said, "Mom, I thought you picked the place with the best pizza." I laughed because he was right, this time, the reviews were wrong, for us at least. Would I order again? Probably not. But the atmosphere and steady business made me curious enough to maybe give it another shot, just with very lower expectations. And for take out.

They do advertise for combo deal's, slices, $1 wings. Angelina's is directly across the street from Hubbard Park too. I'd assume people grab and go to the park. We ordered a simple cheese pizza and a chicken cutlet sandwich. The pizza was fresh, melty cheese with tasty Italian spices and perfectly cooked crust, but wasn't anything special. There are many other pizzerias in the area so it comes down personal preference and price. The chicken cutlet sandwich was a decent size and delicious. We were happy with the portion sizes, quality, and price. Our total was about $23 and we had leftovers (this was for 2 people). We will likely order again and will think of this place if we plan to have pizza for a gathering.

On a recent Saturday I finally stopped in for their $6.50, 2 slice pizza deal that comes with a 20 ounce Coke. The pizza is New Haven style and baked in a wood fired oven, need I say more? One word of caution - be prepared to pay an additional 4% over menu prices if you choose to pay by credit card.

We drove to New Haven and were eating our pizza in less time at one of the more popular/well-known places. Seating is almost a waste of time. Maybe there's enough seating for 25 people?! You need to get to know the people next to you because you're basically at the same table. Prices are shockingly high for what you get. With the sheer amount of pizza-places within a 2-10 mile radius of Fuoco - you're better off giving another establishment a try. Try Half-Moon in Wallingford. I ordered a large cheese pizza, and it has to be one of the best I've had in a long time. The crust was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of char, not greasy at all, and every bite was packed with flavor. You can really tell they use quality ingredients and put care into every pie they make. It's that kind of pizza where you immediately know you'll be thinking about it later. Honestly, I wish my wife and kids were here to try it with me--they would've loved it. I'm from California, and I can say I haven't had many pizzas back home that compare to this. It's that good. In fact, I ended up coming back a second time before heading home because I just couldn't pass up another chance to have it again. That alone should say everything. On top of the amazing pizza, the employees were friendly and welcoming, and you can tell it's a family-owned business that takes pride in what they do. That kind of atmosphere makes the experience even better. If you're anywhere near the area, I highly recommend stopping by Fuoco Apizza. Whether you heard about it from Barstool or not, it absolutely lives up to the hype. You won't be disappointed.
