We stumbled across this one & decided to give it a try because we have been partying so we're hungry! For my first time, it was ok, def gave us burnt end pizza which I don't like, but I guess.

My family and I went to this location to try something different since we were in the area and I originally came here for event about a year ago. It's located inside The Churchill surrounding by other restaurants for burgers, teriyaki chicken, desert place & bars. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were surprised a lot of people were their because it's very hot considering it's an indoor outdoor place, but since it's in Arizona, it is extremely hot in the summer months even though with the sprinters we're on high up which were up super high, so I will highly suggest to come during the fall and not summer months[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . We order the meat freak & ,create your own pizza w/ barbecue sauce, chicken, mozzarella, and mushrooms. Our total for 2 pizza's were $33; drinks & ranch costs extra. Our order was ready in about 15 minutes so we food a table. The pizza ranges anywhere from $12 and up depending on what you get and if you do a create your own or not. Overall, we did enjoy our pizza. It would be nice if they were just a little bit bigger due to the price and if you have a family of three or more.

Freak Brothers has solid vegan options--I got the vegan pesto pizza, added Abbots vegan chicken, which is rare and impressive! Their source of ingredients is on point! That said, the pizza itself felt so bland which I was bummed because I had barely anything all day as I headed here for a vegan event at the Churchill. Open to trying again, but not in a rush to come back. Vegan Pizza shouldn't be meh. Three stars for thoughtful ingredients, but it just didn't hit. 061425

The staff was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location was a very cool concept of shared space with other food, bars, and overall event space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a live DJ the night I went which brought the whole vibe up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pizza smelled delicious, but was overall just good. Considering the location and being open late I imagine it's a drunk food kind of spot.

hey, what's some fun that you like to do in Phoenix? Well I like to go to the freaky Bros pizza best pizza around town and they sent you a text on your phone that says you're freaky brother's pizza order is ready. Make me laugh with a bunch of ems. We're not around here but we have a lot of fun and this was our first impression. Yay freaky freaky time freaky awesome. The crust of the pizza was perfect. This was some of the best pizza I've ever had. I love you and [[HIGHLIGHT]]they were listening to hella in the kitchen and it was a perfect vibe to see when you're on tour with your buddies in the band[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] midwest is not Midwest. I don't know what that guy was talking about. Talk to someone in Philly and multiple people think that like Arizona they're playing Peso Pluma on a bike it's for looks. I'm not gonna pop the pimple I know, but I'm not gonna pop it. I might accidentally pop it playing the show tonight. Gotta be there though disturbing I had acne growing up and throughout my teenagers and I'm tired of it but I like doing it to myself, but I don't and they were definitely chillers.

I came to the food hall here with some friends and wanted some carbs before I was running in the morning. I opted for the pizza place which was super easy to get in line and order and not too busy. I got the margarita pizza with ranch. The pizza was yummy but it was a little bland for my taste and the ranch wasn't my favorite either but overall I thought it was good.

Freak Brothers Pizza(FBP) is located inside The Churchill. The Churchill is a really cool "food court" without the corporate chains. I recently found out that the tenants of the Churchill also have to contribute to the community as part of their "rent". Freak Brothers Pizza will scratch the itch for traditional pizza, gluten-free pizza, vegan pizza or whatever combination you like! They have a great set up that will feed you regardless of restrictions! You place your order in-person or online and you'll receive a text once it is ready. FBP also offer delivery with the different gig-delivery drivers. I also noticed they also cater events. You can select one of their already curated pizzas or "build-your-own freak-za". FBP also offers hummus with pitas along with desserts. We really enjoy this downtown adjacent pizza joint!!! The best part of coming to the Churchill is that you can relive your pre-teen/teen days and go to a "food court" where you're able to mix and match different foods based on your groups likes, not to mention have an adult beverage!!! You can also make this the last stop to whoever is catching a flight. They have shops with tchotchkes that you can buy for you're awaiting love ones at home!

Went to church hill to check out the restaurants went to stoop kid saw this place look good watch the guy making pizza look good so got a cheese pizza unfortunately it was disappointing the dough tasted like flour had no fermented to it the sauce was ok just tasted like tomato cheese was fine I think if they let it set for a few days cook it longer it would be a lot better not sure if I would get it agian

Amazing light tasting dough. It really is the highlight of these delicious pies. The ingredients are high quality and fresh. I dare you to ask Zach for a Buffalo BBQ Pizza with out Buffalo sauce. lol it's an inside joke. But it would be great to start this trend. Point being is the young staff are outgoing fun people. They know how to take a joke. All jokes aside they are courteous and quick to crank out pies until closing. They have a take out window and vegan options at no extra cost. They close at 9pm so don't be that customer ordering at the last minute. Because it does take about 15 mins to cook a pie. Love the venue as you can chill and have a cocktail (from the 2 bars inside the Churchill) while you wait. Good times!

Quick service food is good everything I come to church hill this is my go too good for the price it's like going to mod pizza or those fast pizza chains I can't complain [[HIGHLIGHT]]the seating area is in side the church hill so you can grab a drink chill and eat[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Amazing, unique experience!…read more I arrived with the preconceived ideas about being jostled in long lines in a poorly cooled pizza joint, sitting in a crowded restaurant at plastic tables eating plastic food. That misconception disappeared immediately upon stepping through the doorway. Warm, inviting ambiance, full of character. Attending the birthday celebration for an esteemed young man, our table wasn't ready (we were early) and the hostess offered us seats at the bar while awaiting our party. We each had a wine spritzer... may I say that the very few such concoctions I've had bearing that name didn't do justice to what we were served. I've never had anything like this, a "Sgroppino" (I'm partial to strawberry!) and it was perhaps the best adult beverage I've had in a very long time. Many different nuances in a glass. Stunning subtle, many diverse flavors. Mmm. Our bartender was an artist of the mixed adult beverage, a delightful individual with a warm, genuine smile and an encyclopedic knowledge of how to do his job expertly. Rare that you meet someone like this who isn't all measuring cups and shot glasses: everything he concocted was done by eye, and judging by what he made for us, his expertise was immediately apparent. Ben fatto. È andata benissimo, brava. When we'd all arrived, we were escorted to the "garden shed"... a smaller out-building filled with racks of wine, perhaps an ideal place for small wedding receptions or engagement parties. Well-cooled despite our broiling Phoenix evening. We had the garlic bread; someone ordered IL Tagliere, Calamari (no, thank you), and a basket of bread. You know how you go to a hamburger joint and what you're served looks nothing like the photos of their menu? Go to CiBO's web site and look at their menu: What you see in their photos is what you get. One visit and next time you look at their menu online, you'll salivate. Yes, the food is that good. I ordered the calzone. Delicious. Getting through it wasn't pretty... but it was excellent. Huge, very generous entree. Excellent flavors. Our server was delightful, attentive without being a nuisance. Our water glasses never reached empty, and the stories about the birthday boy (and others) were never interrupted. We never made it to desserts. Too much food and amusing stories. CiBO: È andata benissimo, brava.

We ordered a couple of sodas and the same slices we ordered last time, pepperoni and vodka slices. The slices were delivered in no time! They were hot and crispy! The Vodka pizza had no detectable sauce on it either. It also tasted just like cheese bread. I don't know if its because of different pizza makers or the new standard, but I was disappointed. You can also get a whole pie of your choice. They grate fresh parm on all the slices which I thought was a nice touch. The girl at the register seemed very knowledgeable about all the pizzas and gave us lots of details and recommendations which we appreciated. First we got the green, di Parma, and the Phoenix. The green has pistachios and fresh arugula on it, I thought the overall flavor was too sweet and the pistachios weren't crush enough. The Phoenix was good, very honey forward and overall the flavor didn't stick out to me. The di Parma was a cheese pizza with procuttio and ricotta, overall a little plain to me. I think they all would've tasted better hot, but I understand that's not super realistic for a slice shop. For our second order we got the vodka sauce slice, which was for sure my favorite. First of all it was piping hot, and that elevated the whole experience. I thought the sauce was so flavorful and savory, and the basil made a perfect bite. I would go back for a whole pie of this! I really liked the prices here, we got dinner for less than $25 for 2. I wouldn't mind coming back to try some other slices and get a pie of the vodka!

I won't add to my previous review regarding the food, as it is still just as fantastic. And while the old location had its charm (mainly that it was more intimate and a bit quieter), the new location is overall an immense improvement. First of all, it is much larger, modern, and very tastefully decorated without losing as much of the intimacy as they could keep. For instance, the decor on the walls makes you feel like you are somewhat at home, with photos of the Spinato family and other tasteful finishes. Everything is comfortable without being too casual or formal. It's definitely more open concept now, and bar-lovers will appreciate the full bar, as the old location only had a tiny one. The covered patio area is much nicer, and with an eastern exposure, it should bake in the sun less than the old place's western exposure for most of their operating hours. We were seated at a half-booth, and the restaurant was very crowded because it was their first Friday night at this location. Nonetheless, we arrived early enough to be seated without a wait. I will say that the food took a very long time to arrive--40 minutes or more--but I'm chalking that up to the crowd and growing pains at the new location. Our server recognized us, welcomed us to the new place, and was as friendly as usual, though he didn't have much time for chat-chat with how busy they were. Lil Capo Pizzeria 5.0/5 The Closest Thing to New York…read morePizza I've Found in Arizona Growing up in Upstate New York, I admittedly have high standards when it comes to pizza. After moving to Arizona in 2007, I've spent years searching for a slice that genuinely reminds me of home. While there are plenty of decent pizza spots throughout the Valley, very few capture that authentic New York style. Lil Capo Pizzeria absolutely does! Ironically, I first discovered Lil Capo after an Arizona Cardinals game. Like many people, I wasn't interested in paying stadium prices for mediocre food, so I jumped on Yelp looking for something nearby. Lil Capo had outstanding reviews, so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did because it's now my benchmark for New York-style pizza in Arizona. The first thing that stood out was the crust. This is exactly what a New York slice should be--thin, crispy on the bottom, slightly chewy inside, sturdy enough to fold, and never overloaded with grease. So many places think "New York style" simply means making a large slice. Lil Capo understands it's really about the balance of crust, sauce, cheese, and texture. Every bite reminded me why I miss pizza back east. The sauce has just the right amount of sweetness and acidity, the cheese is perfectly proportioned, and everything tastes fresh without trying to reinvent what already works. Sometimes simplicity executed well is the hardest thing to accomplish. Pizza: 5/5 Service was equally impressive. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and efficient. After selecting our slices, they quickly reheated them to perfection and had them on our table within minutes. It's exactly what you want from a neighborhood pizzeria--fast, relaxed, and genuinely hospitable. Service: 5/5 I also appreciated the atmosphere. Lil Capo isn't trying to be flashy or trendy. Instead, it has that classic neighborhood pizzeria feel where the focus stays exactly where it should--on making outstanding pizza. It's casual, comfortable, family-friendly, and somewhere you could easily become a regular. The pricing is another pleasant surprise. Considering the quality of the pizza and the generous slice sizes, I found everything to be very fairly priced. Overall Finding authentic New York-style pizza in Arizona has been surprisingly difficult over the years, but Lil Capo delivers exactly what I've been searching for. Authentic New York-style crust Excellent sauce-to-cheese ratio Minimal grease Friendly, efficient service Fair prices Comfortable neighborhood atmosphere I've eaten pizza throughout New York my entire life, and Lil Capo remains the closest I've found to the real thing anywhere in Arizona. Whenever I'm on the west side of the Valley--or heading to or from a Cardinals game--I find myself looking for an excuse to stop in. Next time, I'm skipping the slices and ordering an entire pie. If you're a fellow New Yorker living in Arizona and craving a slice that tastes like home, Lil Capo should be at the top of your list.
