My Tundra was due for it's oil change. The dealership is always right on for me and my family. They always check my truck from top to bottom, and I leave a very happy customer as always. The employees are very friendly and well educated on any topic regarding Toyota vehicals. I'm a proud ownder of 3 Toyotas. Definitely a case of buyer beware. We were specifically looking for a Toyota sienna and came into this dealership and they had two. One of them was exactly the model we wanted and they made us an offer we could not refuse. The deal was signed and sealed and as it was time for them to hand us the keys, they said it still needed to go through service so they gave us a rental car to take home. I forgot to mention I live 90 miles from this dealership. This morning when I was preparing to come back to pick up the car I bought, the salesman called me to tell me that the vehicle does not qualify for certified Toyota preowned. Add to that that when we got home and looked at the dealerships page the vehicle we just bought was listed for $400 less than we paid for it! When we dropped off the rental car they gave us they tried to sell me another car for $4000 more... We decided that we should shop elsewhere. read more

New 2020 Toyota Highlander is a big FAIL! Bought 3/9/2020 at Fred Haas Toyota World. My 2020 Highlander started stalling out on the road, while driving, found out there was a recall with the stop start feature that caused stalling while driving. Also, the steering wheel is very cheap and the plastic cover on the back side of the steering wheel, does not fit, so it just wiggles, pops and cracks when you touch it when you are turning. The dealer service department at Fred Haas Toyota World said they are all like that now on this model and you cannot tighten of fix it. This is my 6th Toyota and 3rd Highlander. Big mistake. Do not buy a 2020 Toyota Highlander! I would not use this dealer for any future purchase. read more

Make sure if your service rep is Joe Woods you request literally anyone else. Joe will flat out lie to your face. I brought my car in to fix a simple door check. He told me himself that it would take less than39 minutes to repair once the technician gets the car. When I called prior to making the appointment I was told 30 minutes as well. $120/hour X 0.5 (30 minutes) = $60. I already paid for the part before I got there so there shouldn't be any additional charges. When I check out my bill is $148.21. Joe tells me with a straight face that it's an hour and a half job and that he cut me some slack!! read more

I recently purhchased a Toyota Venza from here. The overall experience of the purchase was ok. however when i brought my certified car in for a warranty service my experience was not so good. They were suppose to have a loaner car ready for me, and they did not. After waiting over 30 minutes they finally told me they did not have any loaner cars, and to go to the used car lot and see if they can loan me a car. So they basically sent me on a wild goose chase to find my own loaner car. I did not like this and left. I will now go to another toyota dealership for my service, and future car purchases. I have had nothing but terrible experience with this particular Toyota location. Their employees do not take pride in the saying "Customer Service". Back in February I brought my Avalon to be repaired by their collision department. The timing of completion was not the issue due to the fact they were swamped with collision repairs, but it was the way my car was returned to me was the issue. No one cared enough to make sure everything had been sealed and completed correctly. My car literally was falling apart in certain areas while I was driving. Not to mention my mirror that was not originally part of the reason why I brought my car there somehow got broken. When I asked the representative "Kim" who was assisting me with my repairing of my vehicle she was very nonchalant and could care less of my concerns. Additionally, while my car was getting repaired by collision I needed additional work from the service side. Before the work was done on my car I asked "Kim" to contact me before my car was sent to service. Do too think she did that? No! She assured me that I would be contacted once my car has been finished with the collision side and she would contact me when she was going to send it to the service side! Didn't happen and nor did she care to keep her word. Now, today I came in to get my oil change and they were super busy. I was told there would be no more walk-ins for the day and no appointments til next week. I said okay! Left came back to see if maybe someone cancelled or was there anyway they could squeeze me in today. Now, normally I work with Dennis Noev, who in my opinion, is maybe the only person in service that provides great customer service but he was not there today. So, I was told to get with his friend Zachary Tobias! When I came back I asked him was did anyone cancel or could I get squeezed in? Guy nonchalantly tells me he's going to lunch and I'd have to get with some other guy from service. Then, I got with a guy that sits a the desk right next to Taylor Webb who I thought would try to help me amidst the situation. Either he really wanted me to understand that "It's people like me that walk-in" that make it hard on other people who schedule appointments or he just is another employee at this special location that does not understand customer service. He even went so far to paint the picture "If you go to the doctors office you have to have an appointment"? Well, of course your do because that's their policy. Overall what I am saying is it is not the upper management that is giving this Toyota a bad look. I've had better experience with the VP of this particular Toyota then it's employees. The employees need a morale booster and really need to try to remember customer matters and customer service first! read more

Fred Haas Toyota World advertised a 2023 Sequoia 4WD for sale on Autotrader as well as on their own website. I received an email from the dealership stating that the car was in fact available. I promptly returned her phone call. I was initially told they would not sell me a car since I live in California. Then I was told I could buy the car if I had a Texas address to use for registration purposes. I told her that would not be a problem. At that point I was told the car I was interested in has a deposit on it and is not available. Sharon advised me the car that I was inquiring about was sold to one of her relatives. She then told me that there was a 2WD available. Isn't that the typical Bait and Switch tactic that unethical car dealerships are known for??? I was then told that I could give them a $500 non refundable deposit to be put on their waiting list. I am on several waiting lists and will give my business to whichever dealership can produce the car I want first. Why would anyone risk giving them money when they may never get the car they want?? I ended the call by telling Sharon they do not deserve my business. Worst customer service I've ever experienced at a Toyota Dealership in 16 years. My appointment was at 10 am for an alignment and an oil change. I ask the sales person how long it may be because I could go home while I wait. I was advised to wait an hour and she would call me to let me know if I should go home. I never received that call. I went to her desk after waiting and not hearing anything after 2 hours and was told she would check on it and call me. I'm now on hour 3 and I had to go to her again because I did not hear from her. Her response was, "I'm sorry I have been checking people in back to back." While that is understandable, I work in customer service where we are ALWAYS busy, but if I tell a customer I'm going to do something or get back with them, I do just that even if it means I have to make someone else wait a few minutes. To be clear, the wait is not the issue but the lack of promised communication that did it for me. read more

Lost my key, so I called the parts department. The smartkey replacement for my car would be $ 500 without the programming fee! I decided to do some research and called other toyota dealerships in Houston - Mike Calvert Toyota is charging less than $ 200 for the same OEM key. Besides their ridiculously overpriced parts & service, their customer service is poor as well. I have taken my car here for service due to issues with the locking system. The service advisor was feeding me a bunch of stories as to why they couldn't fix it on the weekend like "we need to compare the systems issue to a new car and we don't have the keys to open a new vehicle so come back during the week". I also had to retrieve my own car out of the service lot because the porter couldn't drive my manual 6-speed. I will say that the service manager, Connie Esters, was professional and got me the help I needed after I brought it to her attention. But the fact that this was the 4th-5th time I took in my vehicle for service to get the issue fixed was too much. My family has purchased three Toyotas from this dealership, but the next one will not be from Fred Haas. I have finally learned my lesson - it's just disappointing. read more

I went to get an synthetic oil change a few weeks ago. They suggested I get tires and gave me a quote. I then checked my usual tire places and turned out Fred Haas had better tires at a lower price. Don't take your car to get serviced here! Good thing I marked all the things they were supposed to change out with clear tape because if I didn't I wouldn't have noticed. They were suppose to change the oil, cabin filter, rotate my tires and more. They did nothing. Came back and John James tried to get stupid with me saying I can't prove they didn't do anything. But I told his dumb ahh I marked everything and everything was left the same they got caught red handed and the manager was the only respectful one and supposedly said it would cost someone's job. (Highly doubt it) manager let me go to the back and watch them change everything out this time around. If you do bring your car to get serviced here, or any dealership, I recommend marking everything they're supposed to change out to see if they actually do it. I used clear tape and numbered my tires. Taped the cabin filter and oil filter and nothing was changed. Glad I did today cause if not I wouldn't have noticed everyone treats you with respect and act so nice to give the illusion that they're doing the job right but they don't . I won't be coming back here could've done all that myself but figured since it's free with my new car why not but I just ended up waisting time and had to bring my inner Karen out which sucks! I ordered a car from Fred Haas Toyota and paid a $500 deposit. I was told the car would arrive in 2 weeks. It never did. Then I was told it would arrive sometime in September but no firm date. I requested that I get my $500 refunded because they failed to deliver the vehicle that I ordered. They have refused to refund the money and they cant tell me when the car will arrive. Fred Haas Toyota World Collision Center -- I recently had my wife's Sienna repaired at the Collision Center. Kim P. was my Service Adviser and was very courteous and spent the time to review the damages that occurred on the van. Throughout the whole process she kept me up-to-date on the status and kept the repairs right on track. After 30-days in the shop, on pick up day I requested that the van be placed on a lift so that I could visually inspect the vehicle before driving off. Kim had to refer me to her manager Matt, who graciously allowed me to inspect the van on the lift. There were a few items that I wanted adjusted or fixed. After about 45-mins they addressed my outstanding issues and told me to come back if there were any other issues. I purposely chose this shop knowing the high ratings they've received from Toyota over the past 5-years or so. The quality of the work is excellent and they were able to price match the majority of the aftermarket parts for Genuine Toyota parts. I highly recommend this shop for any Toyota body work or repair. They are thorough with the estimate and do great quality work. Thanks guys and keep up the good work. read more

We are well-seasoned automobile buyers, and our expectations are simple (albeit a bit old-fashioned these days) ... treat us as valued customers, not as a potential paycheck; be forthright and honest, and please don't play the "car game" ... we've heard it all, and will immediately get up and leave if we sense any of it ... and if we can't come to terms, don't act as if we're taking money out of your pocket; some deals get done, others don't. Unfortunately, most dealers don't live up to these modest criteria ... our experience here was the exception. We were looking to purchase a new RAV4 Limited. We found it a bit unusual to be car shopping on a Sunday, but we spotted a vehicle online that was exactly what we wanted. We were surprised at the number of customers ... but despite the crowd, we were greeted promptly, and introduced to Beth Elliott. She was courteous, knowledgeable, and eager to answer our questions. As it turned out, the RAV4 we had in mind was at a location closed on Sundays (thankfully, we didn't get the "Oh, that car's been sold." line). Beth had a prior appointment, and turned us over to Manny Gomez, who immediately earned our confidence. He's intelligent and personable, with thorough knowledge of the products ... a far cry from the stereotypical car salesman. For comparison purposes, we test drove an XLE, the model just below the Limited, and concluded that we wanted to stick with our original choice. The inventory didn't show anything we'd consider ... but Manny took the time to peruse the entire lot with us by golf cart, stating that "they're always behind" in posting new arrivals, and it's possible that something might have come in within the past few days. Worst case scenario: we return the following day to check out the other Limited. Well, we did find a vehicle that appealed to us ... way in the back, waiting to be prepped, and not showing on inventory. Manny quoted us a price that was below sticker, but not yet in our comfort zone. We're veteran negotiators, armed with information ... and after going back and forth a few times, came to terms. Throughout the process, Manny was low-key, highly professional, and treated us as informed, intelligent consumers. We very much appreciated that. After a brief wait, we met with Alex Saaverdra of the finance department. Since we were paying cash, the process was simple, and we were out in less than ten minutes. He didn't pressure us about all those extra warranties, but did explain them, as he's required to do (not to mention that he makes a few bucks off them). We declined them all ... not a problem. What particularly impressed us was the fact that there's a staff assigned to "introduce" buyers to their new vehicles. With all the technology on today's automobiles, it's most welcome. We left the dealership confident that we could at least get the hang of all that stuff, and knowing that we have a resource in the event that something stumps us. On the way home, we remarked almost simultaneously that this experience was probably the best (certainly in the top two) we've encountered in our fifteen car purchases over the years. From the beginning, everyone met or exceeded our expectations ... diametrically opposed to the experience we had at another dealership the previous day (see my review of Gillman Honda). The price we paid was more than fair (and we did research the hell out of it). Our home is in the Bellaire area, and Toyota dealers abound within a few minutes' drive. We've dealt with them all (including one that we really like, but didn't have an appropriate vehicle). The drive to Spring turned out to be well worth it. We wholeheartedly recommend both the dealership and the personnel involved in our transaction. read more

Within minutes I was with someone who took care of my car, while I positioned myself in their very serene and comfortable waiting area, much like my own living room. After only 35 minutes, I was texted with all that was happening with my car, and a link to communicate with my tech if I wanted. Only minutes after that, my car was ready, and had had a complimentary car wash. I was back on the road in less than an hour, during which time, I was treated with courtesy and consideration by all working at Fred Haas Toyota World. We had high hopes, believed Jeff's excuse and ended up with a situation that could have cost my wife her life. We were unfortunate enough after Harvey to fill up with bad gas. Fortunately USAA covers this under the comprehensive portion of our policy, they suggested it be towed to a service king; who contacted me personally and said that a dealership will only be able to fix what was wrong with the car so naturally. We selected the closest Toyota dealership for convenience to send her vehicle. After all Toyotas are known for their quality dependability and affordability, we thought we get the same out of the service at Fred Haas Toyota world we were wrong. Upon arrival Our Camry sat with bad fuel in the lines, tank fuel filter fuel pump, fuel injectors and engine potentially oxidizing for at least one week without any contact after multiple attempts to the service department and specifically Jeff the technician handling our vehicle. The incident happened the morning of September 8. From my understanding the vehicle made it to Fred Haas no later than the 12th. Today is the 22nd. Ever since my vehicle arrived at Fred Haas Toyota world on or about September 12 or 13th I have been trying to get a hold of anyone who could tell me the basics on what was going on with my vehicle to include did the fuel test come back positive for containing water? What needed to be replaced? About how long should we expect the repair to take. After about 10 days Jeff contacted me yesterday and said there's no doubt that you've been trying to get a hold of me but there is an issue with our IT department. He went on to state that all the lines are ran through one central number. And it's been an absolute mess the past few days and I just couldn't figure it out even though I had personally left over three voicemails in his inbox. Well yesterday he told me that they need to do additional work, including replacing the battery and A battery cable I told him no problem dude whatever you need to do just let me know how much it cost before hand. He said certainly sir I'll call you before we do anything with the cost. Today he directly call my wife who is completely out of the loop of any of our previous contacts and told her your vehicles ready to pick up the insurance hasn't given us the check yet it's a dual party check we need the check in your signature so that we can go ahead and process this and give you your vehicle. I called my insurance company and asked them if I personally could go in there and just pay it all up front out of pocket and they pay me on the backside. USAA was gracious and Had no problem with this. I went in and paid and told him I would return later with my wife to pick up vehicle so we could carpool home. Upon our return as they were pulling up the vehicle I could not help but to immediately notice that the problem had not been taken care of if only made more dangerous, you see before the vehicle just wouldn't start at all with the bad gas but after they dropped The fuel tank clean the fuel injectors drained the tank and add a new fuel they said it was good to go. The attendant pulled the car up and gave it to my wife and said here you go. We asked him to pull forward because it sounded funny and it stalled. I can't believe with their safety procedures in place they were about to allow my wife to pull out of their dealership in an unsafe vehicle into a 50 mile an hour roadway making a right-hand turn where she could have stalled and been struck in her driver side door.... very disappointing I expected for them to at least get her going not put her in a position where she could have been killed. Maybe it's because I told Jeff yesterday that we really don't know too much about cars maybe he thought we wouldn't know better but this is pretty obvious and dangerous at that! We had to compel them to offer a loner in which at first they still ask us to pay $350 deposit, after stating that this is simply unacceptable they were magically able to get my wife a to Toyota to drive home for the time being. We have really been wanting to trade my wife's Camry in for a newer model and we still plan to but after service like this I have very serious doubts that we would ever consider dealing with this establishment ever again after the dismissive treatment and unsafe behavior exhibited by their administrative staff and service department I don't think I could let my wife drive down the road in anything that was a result of a sale that came out of a institution that is capable of so completely miss handling a simple claim. For starters I was disapoited because Jesse Hartman told me they were going to charge me $119 for checking what The problem was with My car and this value was going to be deduct if I did the service with Toyota! I did the service, I changed my battery and I was still charged $59. What for I asked he said it was because they took only 30 min to complete the job. That sounds like BS since they didn't even use an hour and they charged me for half hour that your mechanic was problem working in another car and making more money for toyota! I asked for the battery of $115 and they charged me $135 instead, besides Toyota scammed me telling me I needed to clean my breaks. Upon reading later that's not a real necessity is just something dealerships use to charge more money out of you! I surely won't be back anytime soon and probably changing dealership when I change my car! read more

I have been a Toyota loyalist for most of my adult life. They last and are dependable. Fred Haas has an amazing customer service department. Jesse Hartman (Assistant Service Manager) has always made me feel like a priority and seems to be supported well by the Service Director (Mark Wood). I have always been satisfied with their speed and execution. Yes... you pay more for their service than some smaller shops but the quality is worth it in my opinion. I have used Jesse Hartman and Sparky Twyford with great success. I can't really comment on other team members but if these two are any indication the rest of the team should be fine. read more

I purchased my first preowned vehicle (Lexus IS 250) vehicle from this place about six months ago and Have put less than 4000 miles on this car. I take it to my local Lexus dealership for its first maintenance and they inform me that my right front tire has cord showing and my rear tires have cracks on the inner shoulders. In my opinion Toyota should have replaced those tires before putting it up for sale because not even one service later and I have to replace all four of my tires because they are not safe to drive. I think is really shallow of this dealership with such high volume to be putting customers in potentially dangerous circumstances where a pothole on the highway could have ended my life before even my first service was done. just a thought when looking to buy a used car from this dealership. Went in to have a look at a Tundra. Have never owned a Toyota before, but I am comparing different half ton trucks and the Tundra looked like a viable option. I entered the dealership through the front door and was approached by Tony after attempting to check in at the reception desk. I let Tony know that I was looking for a loaded Tundra, likely a Platinum or 1794 edition. He took me to the row of Tundras out back and commented on how those trucks were extremely rare. Instead, he began showing me Limited versions. I noticed a couple of Platinums and began wondering why he hadn't taken me to see those. I then asked if it was possible to test drive one, to which he agreed. He took my drivers license, explained that he would make a copy, and we walked back to the showroom. He appeared a few minutes later with what I assumed was the valet key, handed it to me, and said, "Go ahead and drive the vehicle. I have another appointment and don't have time to take you." To which I responded,"Are you sure this is alright? It would be nice to have a salesman come along and explain the features and answer some questions?" Remember, I am new to Toyota and I figured these guys would want to put their best foot forward. He again declined and showed me where I could park the truck when I was through. I was very confused at this point. On the one hand, it was nice to be trusted, but on the other, it seemed like a heck of a risk for the dealer. While he had presumably made a copy of my DL and taken down my number, I hadn't filled out any paperwork or anything. Seemed very odd. He rushed away from me, and I assumed that he did not think I was a serious buyer, who knows. Turns out, none of that mattered because while the key turned in the ignition, the truck did not start. Apparently, the battery was either disconnected or dead. I headed back to the showroom to see if I could find Tony, and when I didn't see him, went to the reception desk and had him paged. I met him out front, handed him the keys, and left the lot. This was the most bizarre and worst dealer experience I've ever had (while it is common for people to exaggerate to make a point, in this case, I am not, I swear) . Maybe it is not representative of Fred Haas as a whole, but it would be difficult for me to do business with an organization that has people like Tony working for them. Very unfortunate that this was my first experience with Toyota. I called the sales director after I left the lot, and we had a good 10 minute conversation over the phone. If you want a beatable price and express service, go straight to Fred Haas WORLD in Spring. Don't waste your time in the other Toyota dealers in northwest area with liars sales like I did. My last car buying experience was with Carmax and it was wonderful. My experience with Fred Haas really showed me the other side. Be very careful with these people and read every document they will try to trick you with the extended warranties and gap insurance I agreed to one warranty because I was told I could cancel it at anytime and unused balance would be refunded. This is not the truth they added some cost to the base price of your vehicle so please don't make the mistake I did. Read every document and see how the charges are broken down. I made the mistake of being in a rush and trusting I was dealing with honest people and I didn't double check everything until I got home. This was a costly mistake on my part and saddens me to see how badly some people are willing to treat other just to make a buck. I never had issues with the service department I have used them for over a decade. The last car I purchased from Fred Haas was a cash purchase so that was fine. Sales department was fine on this purchase except the vehicle was missing the ball mount we will see if the contact me to pick it up or blow me off. I'd give them 0 stars if I could but I can't. Plus, they do have one saving grace which was the cashier who was so kind to me even when everything else was going wrong. I originally left my car to car detailed and get an oil change. First, the service person helping me tells me that I should just go through insurance and get my car totalled. Um, no. I'm not made of money and I will get a new car when I'm ready. So I leave my car there, and Uber to work because their shuttle service only is available from 8am-3:30pm, because you know, I don't have a job and don't need to be at work from 8-5... Anyways, so I get to work and by 10am, I have text about all the other things that are wrong with my car and now my $250ish bill is going to be about $710. I reject the bill and decide that I'll just take my car to a mechanic over the weekend. So it's time for me to get my car, and there's a MAJOR accident on 45 causing over an hour delay and I call them about 30 minutes to close get told that I'm not allowed to pick my car up after the shop closes because I have a balance, which they won't let me pay over the phone. After some irate conversations, I finally pay my balance, get my car, and realize that the inside of my car is looking a bit wet. I think, oh, whatever cleaning products they used must not have been dried yet. Nope, a few days later, it still looking the same and come to find out, they just did a half ass job in detailing and that's the oil. I'm done with this place. read more
