Received a phone call from Ashly about purchasing my vehicle. Her statement was do you want to sell us your car It's low mileage and has been serviced with our company. My response was that I've never thought about it. I asked what the value is and she replied it's in the upper 20s. well that was intriguing. I went in to see them and picked out a new vehicle with a sticker of $43k. They had some add ons and market adjustments that brought the price to $50k. When I sat down with them all of a sudden The trade value of my vehicle is now $12k. Not only that they wanted me to sign on to a $785.00 payment for 84 months plus my trade in. That came to a whopping $65.940.00 plus the value of my vehicle they valued at $12k. that's $77.940.00 for a vehicle with the original window sticker of $43k. Criminals nothing but criminal. I contacted a Salesman with Fred Hass Toyota World in Spring on 01/22/22 about the purchase of a 2022 Toyota Tacoma. We negotiated the price, payment and the trade of my vehicle. I sent him the VIN number and numerous pictures of my vehicle trade-in. The Salesman told me that it was a "done deal" as I wanted to make sure that when I came to the dealership on 01/23/22 that I went straight to financing. He sent me pictures of the truck and told be "Congratulations" it was a deal! He asked me what time I would be in on 01/23/22. I told him 11:00 and that I would text him that morning with a definate ETA. We arrived precisely at 8:00 a.m. and he sat us down with the Sales Manager. This raised an alarm in my mind that I may have been scammed. Unfortunately, I was correct and the Dealerships scheme was to get me in to the dealership and have me preorder a vehicle. I was livid and they had not even run my credit nor been advised by Finance what my payment would be and it was supposed to be a completed deal. Then I was told they did not even have a Tacoma on the lot! So where did the Salesman get the pictures from? The Sales Manager quoted me a higher monthly payment than promised and a longer finance term! This business is a total SCAM and should be shut down for unethical practices. I came in on a Sunday wanting to trade in my fairly new 2020 Jeep wrangler for a Prius. My bank who I did the loan through was closed so Fred haas stated they would get my direct pay off for me first thing in the morning. Thank God I requested a paper in the mail as they told me my pay off for my current vehicle was 52,692.03. Not only was this in correct but it was just a flat out lie. I received my pay off in the mail which states 47,902.58. Now when we asked where the 4,790.44 difference came from, we were told it was due to the manufacturers increasing the pay offs and there was nothing they could do about it. Not only is this a lie, but it's illegal. My payments and the price i will overall pay for my vehicle is set when I signed my contract. You cannot increase my pay off because you want to make a profit. Avoid doing business here as they lie to you. Instead of telling me you're truck will not pass, they charged me and then told me it failed because the windows are too dark. They knew it wouldn't pass just by looking at the windows. I was sold a used to Toyota Corolla and was told the car had received no major repairs and found out the transmission had been replaced. I called the dealership and they didn't care. I recently got my coolant system worked on and the mechanics informed me they had replaced the transmission, and had done so incorrectly, to the point that it cost more to fix the coolant system. We have purchased three Toyota's this year. One in Virginia, one in Maryland and one in Texas. All three dealerships we purchased from were dreams, but there were definitely some nightmare experiences at other dealerships. We worked with the guy named Theo Palomera in finance department. He was not honest with us at all and tried to rip us off. The purchase price we agreed at the beginning with the salesman was 31k. Before signing the financed contract, that guy persuaded us to buy the windshield protection and according to what he told us "it's only extra $5 per month". That was what we understood from what he said and that's why we went with the windshield. Looking at the contract now, he added that as an add-on accessory $2,795 which make the purchase price goes up, total $34,296, plus sales tax it is now $36,410. With the interest, the amount we have to pay go up to $40,161. He did not inform us about this amount when we signed the contract. It is too high compared with our original agreement. If we had known about it, we would never agree to buy it. He said there is nothing he can do now because that's what we agreed. What the hell is this? We only agreed on that $5. "Why didn't you tell us about that $2,795" Why were you dishonest and tricked us with your words? Why did you take advantage of us just because we are inexperienced first time buyer? It is your responsibility to provide clear and explicit information as a seller. We kept emailing back and forth asking for the solution, but he did not pick up the phone "basically ignoring us" and his emails were not helpful. We went to meet with him, but he was "too busy to talk" with us. We contacted the customer service manager and left a voice message but we did not get anything back as well. So you mean to tell me that your dealership cannot solve this problem for me because you are too busy on scamming other people as well? I will not let this go. I will post this to all social media website. I will file a complaint to BBB, CFPB, FTC and all Texas attorneys. I do not want to waste more time with your dealership. Why do I need to take off from my work, lose my money, waste my time to go to your dealership to repeat the story again while this is your shady business and nothing can be solved for me? This is my first experience with Fred Haas and I'm really disappointed with the dishonesty and the way business is handled. I will go public and warn other people so that no one will get scammed from the dealership like this. I will never come back here again. In addition, " Do not buy gap insurance from them, it is more expensive and you have to pay interest on it, get it from your insurance it will be cheaper" What I learn from this is experience is to ask to see the motor vehicle buyer order! First off, I was straight up with everything I needed in order to run my credit for a loan.. mind you everything is being done through email. Everything is sounded rainbows and unicorns. But when I get there it's only unicorns, non existent, the finance person Nacho Lopez was extremely rude. I'm in my early 20's but I know what I want and I know what I'm going to buy. They showed me a car I did not even look at and was older and with more miles and worth the same as the one I looked at (big no). Then I had specifically said I would not put down and Nacho kept repeating that my credit didn't allow me to say or do as I please. I get it, but he could have declined and went on with his day as I would have with mine. He kept insisting that was my only option and everywhere I go I would get decline (his opinion of course). Because I had options plenty! I was just looking for a more affordable option at their location for the car I originally had looked at. They didn't want to finance the car I wanted, they gave me a ridiculous int. rate, we're asking for a down that was not going into my car total, and still was over my budget that I had told them I would not pay over. Executive Summary: I was bullied by Sharon Vaugh and she gave me a hard time about getting my money back that I had left as insurance that the car wouldn't be sold between Friday and Sunday to anyone else. Oh, and she insinuated that I needed my "daddy's money" to make the final purchase. Detailed Story: On Friday morning, I called to see if one of the Toyotas I had seen online was still available (about 2000 miles on it, 2013 model). Got Sharon Vaugh on the phone. She said it was no longer available, but there were other cars that would be similar (in price too) if I came in. She didn't give me any other specifics. She seemed a bit abrasive on the phone, but I assumed she was just flustered because maybe I had called in the middle of something, so I didn't take it personally. After meeting her in person on Friday evening, I realized that's just how she is all the time. We walked around the lot and she showed me a 12,000 mile car (also 2013) for $4000 more. Now, 12,000 miles is still not very high, but when you promise you can show me something similar... I expect a deviation of 3-5000 miles, not +10,000! I told her I would consider it but I would need time to think about it and maybe my dad could come take a look at it too. Now, don't go getting any ideas that I'm a daddy's girl and need him to foot the bill. I just like for my dad to look at it, too, in case I overlooked something from the mechanical part. That's it. So she said I could leave a payment of $500 and that would ensure the car wouldn't be sold to someone else. When I handed my card to the guy in the finance department, I double checked with him that I could get my money back if I changed my mind. He said yes. The next business day, I called and told Sharon I was actually no longer interested in it, since I realized on my 1-hour drive back home that I was actually settling a lot from what I had originally come in for. She told me she wasn't sure they could give me the money back and that she was under the impression my "daddy" (puh-lease. I do not call him "daddy," because I am not a five year old princess) would just come in to pay for it. Also, she didn't know why the finance guy would tell me I can get the money back since he wasn't a manager and they "don't usually do that." Um... THAT's offensive on multiple levels. First of all, I do not use my "daddy's" credit card. Second of all. I can fully afford to buy it and I think it's a bad business that I was essentially bullied into by Sharon. I came here for service for my Toyota and the only nice thing I can say is that their customer service is friendly. Well, I would be friendly too if I was trying to get $1500 from a customer. I came for my service check and they said I needed an entire new rack and pinion system and that it was leaking fluid and the only way to fix it was by replacing the entire system. The car was bought from Don McGill so I went there to follow up since my warrant was still good. I found out that my service check would have cost me $70 less at Don McGill AND Don McGill said it was leak that could be replaced by a new boot - cost $161. Thank goodness I walked away and called my trusted advisor (my dad) and saved $$$. Don't take your Toyota here - you may end up losing your life savings. read more

So, let me play out a little scenario for you. We pull up around lunch time in front of the used car spot. In golf carts sat 4 (yes count them 4) salesmen. We got out of the car and hung out for a minute while looking over at one of the lots. Glance at the salesmen. Glance at the cars. Husband makes a joke about, guess we're just supposed to help ourselves here. So we went out and looked on the used car lot, trying to get a feel for what they had in inventory. Not a single price listed on the used lot. Decide to go back to the building (maybe someone might even say hello) ... One guy stopped and asked us if we were looking for used or new then said the lot we were just looking at was used and walked away. There are now 6 (yes count them 6) Salesmen sitting in golf carts. These guys must make fantastic money because they sure as hell don't need the likes of any customers bothering them while they're chilling in their golf carts. We went inside (WE STILL HAVE NOT BEEN GREETED) and went to the desk. Girls asked which we were looking at, we let them know we were not sure if we wanted used or new but were willing to look at both, which was honest we had been looking at both used and new vehicles to replace our current vehicle. Girl says OK then takes a phone call. A few minutes later a sales guy emerged and he was nice enough. Mind you, I didn't know his name until he handed me his card at the end of our encounter. We test drove the car that my husband was interested in and the guy couldn't really tell me much about the car other than ooh look a sunroof, and this is how you control the radio and the thermostat. Just in case anyone from this car dealership actually gives a crap about their customers, we bought a Jeep from your competitor down the road. We had even told your salesman that we had just come from Jeep but were considering our options. We are in our early 20s and I was looking to buy a new car and they didn't take us seriously. One of the ladies, Christine I think her name was, passed us off to the new guy that didn't know anything about the cars on the lot. For future reference Toyota, I make more than the median household at 22. He had a negotiated price in writing but when my husband and FIL went to pick up the truck the very heavy set guy with a chip on his shoulder in Finance was extremely condescending, rude, and curt from the get go. He was unprofessional and wasn't willing to honor the negotiated price that was in writing. Instead he tried to increase the price of the truck by $1500. It was a complete waste of time for both my husband and FIL. We wish we would have read all these reviews prior to wasting so much time. My husband and FIL walked. New car purchase. I negotiated with several Houston area Toyota dealers on a 2015 Toyota Prius. Fred Haas was very eager to compete on price and gave me the best offer. Then when I came in they respected my time and had the paperwork ready and the vehicle I specified ready. They did not waste my time in the finance department trying to get me to buy extended warranties nor did they play around with the numbers once they were set. They also took the time to explain the vehicle features. I think you need to go into this process with certain expectations. I expected to do my negotiating by phone and email and only set aside time in the dealership for paperwork and car pickup. read more

Service advisor was Thomas Atkinson (192). This is my first time coming here for service with my brand new 2023 Tacoma. It was time for my first oil change and tire rotation. Service took an hour (normal). As soon as I got my truck back, I opened the hood and checked the oil level. The oil level was above the full mark by a considerable amount. This can cause engine damage. I asked the service manager, Thomas to have a mechanic check the oil level in front of me. The mechanic checked the oil in front of me and also agreed that the oil level was to high and they did it wrong. They took it back into the shop and drained some oil out. The mechanic then rechecked the oil level with me. The level was STILL over the full mark. Not at the full mark. ABOVE it. I did not receive any help or apologies until I personally found the costumer relations manager myself. His name was Joe Salazar. My time at the dealership was totaled at 4 1/2 hours. I would not recommend this dealership for service to anyone. I will be sharing my story everywhere I can. This is the worst dealership I have ever been to. Definitely not living up to the Toyota name. They overfilled the engine oil on my brand new truck and didn't even care. read more

Update 9/24: Collision center didn't fix the windshield plastic piece, as noted when I dropped it off in Tuesday. Piece is still not fixed. Had Collision Manager take the car back to the shop, to get it fixed, AGAIN... He had to take it back, again. Feels like a repeat from April.. Really annoying. Down 1 more star. This is ridiculous. Having to wait, more for my car. -------------- Where do I Start? Is it the sales department. The Service department or the Collision department? I've experienced all 3, so it's a lot of information. If you need more info, message me and I can elaborate. Most recent service: 22Sept2015 - Dropped off vehicle because of the service departments car wash is a piece of $hit. It cause the front license plate to fold into a taco. It was one thing I told Jesse about, which he noted on my service ticket. Upon further inspection, the car wash rubbed against the front bumper causing rub marks and chipping in on the front. This mechanics get -5 stars for this mess that happened on 10Sept2015. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR WASHED IN THE FREE WASH!!!!!!! Jesse was awesome. Said they'd pay for it and get me going. Well, we were off to vacation the next day, so it had to wait until we got back. Today was a mess. Enterprise computers were not working in collision. -1 star. Was called by enterprise after I was almost to work (15 minutes down the road) when I got a call saying that Jesse was not going to pay for the rental.... Say what? I'm hustling back to the dealership to see what's going on (-1 star). Jesse apparently was not notified by the collision center that the car was dropped off. So 45 minutes later, I check into work. If you count that, it's -7 stars. Is that possible!!?? BUT, I will say, Jesse gets +4 stars for all of the good service he has given my vehicles and knowing the issues we've had with the car. He's been super except for earlier today. Just a simple call to collision would have prevented me from having to come back up to Haas. So net -3 stars for today. Prior service visits: I've had really good luck with my service guys at Fred Haas. If you've read my Gullo service Yelp, it's bad. So bad they almost put the wrong plates on our car when we bought it last year. I've had David Moore and one other older guy (who's no longer working there) and they were both +5 Stars each visit. They went above and beyond on the issue we had with the Bluetooth and radio issues. Again, Jesse is great, just today's mishap. It's an off day. Collision Center: I've unfortunately had to come here 2 times. once for a side swipe from another driver and the 2nd time was a sheet of ice hit my hood from and 18-wheeler (lawyers, feel free to contact me if you can help with small claims lol) and caused a lot of damage. Needless to say, I went where service has been good. Service and Collision center do no taking with each other. I'm really surprised that Toyota, with their multi-billion dollar company, won't spend the time or money on having one system for all service and collision issues. But a girl can dream. I'm giving a solid 3 stars because it's not bad, not good. The first time was 5 stars, the 2nd time was -4 star. Net 1 star. I had the windshield replaced in March and there are already 2 stars in the windshield. They said it was an OEM windshield, but it starred within 2 months. It seems the windshield is a piece of junk. They did not secure the plastic pieces on the windshield, so today was the 2nd time, besides when I drove off back in April, oh yeah, it took almost a month to get the car back because the hood was not in stock? It really seems that the job done the second visit was not a good one. Won't use them again after they fix the service departments issue from the last service. Sales: Bought our 2nd toyota from Fred Haas. We went the used route, even though we were looking at new. The reason, the sales guy. Sam Mizra was great. Let us try out any car we wanted. He was fantastic, UNTIL he was 'fired' for non-performance issues. My husband received a text message late at night from Sam, stating he was fired for giving his customers a good price. I know there's two sides to every story, BUT, TOYOTA, give your sales guys phones so they won't do this! it's really weird to get this sort of text message. -4 stars for all this mess! Overall: It's a dealership. You won't get the family-ran, mom & pop shop feel. You are herded in and out like cattle. But I expect this. I don't appreciate the harassing calls from disgruntled employees, car wash tearing up my car and the crappy windshield replacement. Oh yeah, the roach that greeted me in the restroom. Ew. We made our purchase through the Internet, and had a very enjoyable experience doing so. In fact, the test drive and paperwork took less than 45 minutes. The negative review came from the fact that we received two different license plates, separated by one number. I didn't notice until a week later when I thought it was weird that the car I saw that looked just like ours with a similar plate. That's when it hit me that the plates were different. I contacted Fred Haas Toyota World to let them know about what happened and was sent two new plates. I expressed my concern that the extra plate still had to be out there, perhaps claimed by a different vehicle. The dealership assured me that everything was OK. Two weeks later, I started getting fines from EZ Tag from a different vehicle with the other plate. It has taken me over ten months to deal with hours of phone calls with EZ Tag, the dealership,and a law firm for everybody to figure out that I do not own that plate (or the vehicle that now has it). A shortsighted blunder by the dealership has left me beyond irritated and less likely to ever set foot in their showroom again. I've bought about 8 cars here in the past 10 years, and this dealership has always been great to work with. If you want a great sales guy, who is honest and really works to get things done quickly and at a good price, ask for Kris Yoosefi. He's been there for 15 years or more for a reason. He's committed and he's good. As far as Toyota vehicles, you can read reviews online at many sites. They're good vehicles, low maintenance, good quality. Lately, they've gotten more expensive especially if you want a car with full options. All of these cars depreciate just like all the others, so it's really about quality, and what car works best for you financially. If you choose Toyota's...Fred Haas is solid, and Kris Yoosefi is the best. After 8 cars with him and referring 3 or 4 more to him, he has always been awesome. read more

Thank you Raymond Barron & Kevin Baker! Raymond is usually the person that I come to see whenever I come in for my maintenance on my 2015 Camry. The last time that I had an issue with my AC he told me to come straight in to show him because he knows I had a concern for my two year old to be in a hot vehicle as the summer was coming back up. The minute I came in he came out to my vehicle to check to see if it was something he could spot out on his own and he was able to identify that it was my fan. Long story short he made sure that I got into a rental car that day so that I could get my errands done for the next day. He was also let me know that he would not be available the next day and so he put me in good hands with Kevin Baker whom was also very helpful and notified me that my vehicle was ready which was done very quickly.
