It's great to be greeted by the friendly hosts, and have equally friendly servers. We like sitting on on outside deck, as they have a great view of the water. I recommend reservations. They have a full service bar and offer some great cocktails, like my favorite The Aviation. The menu is seafood forward, with many offerings. We started with the shrimp cocktail and caesar salad, but the best starter is the Salmon Sushi Blossom. Then we enjoyed the crispy nori tuna and Bulgogi cod. Both are so unique and flavorful, and are visually appealing when served. We enjoy the attentive service here, and Lian was so friendly and engaging again this year. Thank you Ocean 193!

We visited a couple of times for the oyster happy hour and had an excellent experience each time. The drinks are strong (thank you!) and the service is wonderful and we felt so welcomed each time. We like that it's kind of off the beaten path, despite signs on the main road advertising its shows and happy hour 3-6 PM, which is longer than most of the other happy hours in town, which typically end at 5 PM. The next time I'm in Ptown, I will be spending every Tues-Sat evening here :)

You will too, but you've got to first step over the threshold. Incidentally, I'm not a fan of the term dive bar. It's disrespectful. Someone owns the joint and made it just the way they like it. Our server David was amazing--super attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. You can tell he really cares about creating a great experience for guests. We ordered a little bit of everything: two creative martinis (the Cinnamon Toast Crunch-tini and Jack & Thyme-tini were both hits), plus a mix of apps and sushi. The potstickers, crab rangoon, sesame BBQ boneless ribs, pulled pork bao, and Asian cucumber salad were all packed with flavor. And the Whitney Houston Roll? Chef's kiss. Everything came out fresh and beautifully presented. Loved the atmosphere too--chill but stylish, with great energy. The ambience is lovely...it feels high-end without being pretentious. Food choices provide something for everyone, including those with any kind of gluten sensitivity and other dietary restrictions. Our server was excellent and all of the food was outstanding. Personally, I thought that my salmon was one of the best pieces of cooked salmon I've ever had. (I prefer my salmon raw and tend to shy away from cooked salmon because it's usually overcooked and dry.) Others at the table had the duck sliders, the special oxtail soup, the burger and a different fish dish. Rave reviews all around. Cocktails were also well done! Dessert was decadent and was plenty for sharing. I will definitely visit Joon again when I'm in town.

The waiter was super friendly and accommodating given our small order, one appetizer and a bowl of soup. We were the first ones in at 5 so we had a great seat with a view and got out of there so we didn't keep his table tied up for the evening. From the host that seated us and everyone we encountered, we thoroughly enjoyed everything as always. We will be back for sure!
