My Ford LCF truck "expired" January 1, 2021 due to CA smog regulations. I took it to Freeway Isuzu to have the chipper box transferred to a new NQR chassis. The work was timely, but it was a very poor quality job. The defects kept showing up over the next two years. The first problem was with the trailer lighting. They only needed to directly transfer over my 7 prong plug with no adapter box--but no! They screwed everything up. The connector they put in was a 6 contact blade type. I had to make them change it out. But nothing worked right. I discovered that the trailer brake control unit did not actuate the brakes at all. They denied that there was an inertial control unit transferred over, but it is installed somewhere under that dash, but it is not aligned properly so that the intertial sensor works and actuates the trailer brakes. Only the manual control works. I took the truck back to have this, and the trailer light connector worked on, with the trunk out of service for many days. But they still could not get it right. Eventually, they got the trailer lights to work, but somehow, at a most inopportune time, the brake light circuit shorted out and blew the fuse. I was picking up a load of live trees in July, when it was quite hot, on a Saturday. When that fuse blows, you can't put the truck out of park and into drive. So I had a load of live trees sitting in a metal chip box body getting hot in the sun with no way to move the truck. I was 50 miles away from my yard. Isuzu road service could not tell me what was wrong, so they sent a flatbed to take my truck to the dealer. Fortunately, my son was ablt to take me from the locationto rent a truck to take all my tools, ladders, and the avocado trees to my yard. It took from 10 am Saturday morning until after midnight early Sunday to finally get home. Then I had to pay the dealer a minimum fee of several hundred dollars to diagnose and replace the fuse. That took a week. The reason was because they had wired the brake lights wrong. I paid the invoice, but made a huge squak about it--which resulted in their refunding all of those charges. That was the last time I dealt with them. Never again! But that was not the end of their "gifts". In 2023, after working on a job all day, my truck would not start. I did a couple of voltage checks, tried to jump start it, but to no avail. I again paid to have the truck taken to my own yard. A tech from a different dealer came out and discovered that the ground cable from the battery to the chassis had lost continuity because it had not been properly connected when the truck body was installed. That was another almost $1000 and a couple of days without my truck. That was another Freeway Isuzu defect. I eventually had to troubleshoot and repair the trailer plug wiring myself. Another tidbit is that they replaced the license plate light, and in the process, used a torch to cut a jagged hole in the body--completely unskilled and unworkmanlike--totally junk work. They also replaced the rear marker lights at the top of the box, but they weren't centered or correctly aligned--looked like hell--totally junk work. The Isuzu brand is very good, and my truck is a quality product. It's just that the dealer and their "technicians" did not deserve that title. Another small thing is that my old truck was missing the batteries when I went to haul it out of their yard, They were perfectly-good, one year old, 5-year batteries that they put in their recycling area. Fortunately, I was able to rescue them. I was also able to rescue a few items that came with the new chassis (flaps and tail lights--that belonged to me) that they were just going to sell to someone else if I had not demanded them. I'll eventually pull the dash apart, find the trailer brake inertial control unit and install it correctly. No one should have such a nightmare. Buy an Isuzu, but not ever from Freeway. read more

BAD BUSINESS ETHICS!! Let me tell you about my experience with this dealer. I called in to get a price on a ford transit i saw online, i called gave then the stock number. We talked a bit about the vehicle, all sounded great. I took the time to drive over (from anaheim to corona) as i get there and see the van. Jim tells me that the price he gave me over the phone was for a different van and the one with the matching stock number we spoke about was $11,000 more. I even considered flying to Texas to pick one up and drive back to Calif. Finally after exhausting myself on Google, I ran across Freeway Isuzu. I purchased a used truck and was told they were going to replace the loading plate above the lift gate before delivery of the truck. Truck shows up, all they did was bend the current one, weld, and spray paint. The lift gate is still not up to par from what they said they would do. Salesman backed truck into a pole on test drive of truck as well. Now I have to deal with lift gate myself. Brakes are bad on truck, alternator belt is loose, supposedly they do a full inspection but still I have all these problems I have to deal with after purchasing this truck from them. read more

Well. This Jim guy did it again....Just had my 4th service vehicle delivered to me. Great truck, great price and the service from Jim...He did it again! I'm pretty loyal when I find someplace I appreciate but, for the money I'm buying this Chevy crew 3500HD Diesel, I had to shop a bit before my purchase. I was pretty surprised the price of it being quite a bit lower than the Place in Norco that's literally walking distance from my house/office. Jim and John had it priced (almost) at 5 figures lower than the other utility truck place. This thing has less than 30k miles on her....brand new for a diesel Chevy. Gentlemen, you're appreciated as my company continues to grow. I do spread the word about your place as often as I can, and that says a lot! Strongly recommend seeing these guy if you want an 8 month old service truck/van (example of one of my purchases) and save a good 10 grand or if you want to save a little bit more with a higher mileage, checked and maintained by them before it ever hits the lot. It was my first time bringing my truck to this Isuzu dealer to have a few things repair -front breaks -cooling reservoir not holding it's level -engine warning They replace one front rotor and turned the other, replace a gas cap and one radiator hose. After close to five hours I got the truck back with a new problem: ABS warning light on and the same problem with my cooling reservoir. Took it back, and after five hours waiting, they fixed the ABS light, but they had no explanation for the cooling system loosing fluid. Even as an electrical contractor, I only leave reviews on yelp if I really feel like I've been screwed or the service was too good to keep to myself. So.... My business is growing. Exactly one year and one month after I bought my service van from Jim I had to buy my second one. I shopped around. I found out my best option and best price was to stop in to see Jim. It was pretty cool to see that he remembered me like it was yesterday. I informed him what I was looking for. We looked at the options and found EXACTLY....EXACTLY what I needed. STAY FAR AWAY!!! I submitted and offer on a cargo van on a purchase with my own financing. I received a call back and was told the offer was too low. At the end of the month 6/27, I received an email from Jeff H. and Matt Militano (business develop manager) at Freeway Isuzu saying "Come on in tomorrow if you can test drive the van. We like your offer". The next morning, I drove 2 hours to pick up the car. Matt walked up and said. "I'm sorry, I made a mistake, I can not offer you that van at that price"? Then tried to talk about a different van. THE OLD BAIT AND SWITCH!!! I refused to hear anything about the other van. Matt then handed me to a supervisor and he said that he would be loosing money on the deal. HA! These guys are charging $4,500 above excellent blue book value, they try bait and switch techniques, the office looks like an old boiler room scene, and the dealership lot looks like a wrecking yard for RV's. PLUS, the van i was looking at was painted, missing decals, and they would not print me out a carfax report. STAY FAR AWAY FROM FREEWAY ISUZU. i bought my f150 ford from jim ,its been a great truck and jim gave me a great deal on it ,he patiently waited for my money to be released from my trust fund and he never was pushy ,when i first picked up the truck it had a vibration in it so i took it back he fixed it while i waited for it ,the wheel was out of balance ,also a clunk when i put it into drive and he fixed that also ,it was the driveshaft center support bearing slip joint needing greased, its been like 2 years now and no problems at all. and i drive the tires off my truck , hard, had to do the brakes thats about it read more
