Maintenance employees are sharks, they are only interested in adding services that are not required to increase the bill. Stay away from this dealership as they have a reputation for inflating the repair bill and adding services without obtaining explicit permission. If you don't say no, they assume you said yes. Go to Selma or Visalia. The employee maintenance people have a financial incentive to increase your bill! read more

I recently purchased a vehicle from here. They were able to get a vehicle I had preferred driven down from Santa Cruz within a day just for me. Most of the work was done over the phone and they were very helpful, however, the representative that helped me was so-so. He wasn't suppose to handle my sale but since the other guy went to lunch, he had to. This was my very first car purchase, I just graduated college, and I was very excited about this. The salesman kind of killed my vibe, he wasn't very personable, and once I got the car they didn't show me how to use anything in side of it and I'm still learning. Other than that I love my car! On our LONG drive from San Francisco to Phoenix, my 2008 Prius decided that it had had enough! It rolled to a stop somewhere south of Coalinga. We called AAA (thank goodness for that particular institution!) and 40 minutes later we were being towed to Freeway Toyota. Not knowing anything about Hanford, I thought we might be rolling into some rinky-dink operation but I was wrong. Their staff and service was top notch. We had called ahead so they had their Hybrid guy waiting for us. This was 2 p.m. on a Saturday so there was a very real possibility that we would not get the car back until Monday because their service department is closed on Sundays. They immediately got to work, diagnosed the problem, repaired it and we were out of there by 5 p.m. All of this for the $199 diagnostic fee. They also provided a shuttle so that we could go to a local restaurant for lunch. The thing that set the service department apart was that David, the service rep., kept giving us updates on how things were going. He didn't make any promises and he kept it real but the look on his face when he got to tell us that we would be leaving that day was worth it. He was almost as happy as we were! I've never had a car break down before and I'm glad we were close enough to a dealership that had such a reliable service department. read more

Service dept is EXTREMELY SLOW and do not seem to be able to understand simple, plain, easy requests like 'do not reset any of my customized settings' on my Prius, like the oarking assist feature or lane sway option. The waiting area is a hot mess! You've got music blaring in Spanish on the overhead speakers and the TV blaring in English all in the same confined space. Mix that with customers who bring their children in with them to sit and wait, playing on their phones with the sound cranked up and hollering at their siblings or parent when they get frustrated with their game. Then you've got the couple's who feel the need to add to the insanity and make calls to friends or other family members with their phones on Speaker so we all have listen! All these constant noises fighting to be heard, with no one having any concept of personal or professional courtesy for others makes this place a horrible environment to be stuck in. And be sure that one of the sales people will come around and try to talk you into trading in that new car you're here getting serviced! The customer service here is horrible. read more

If I had a choice I would go to a different place but since it's the nearest dealership that does the Car Doc warranty I had to come here. Wish I can give a zero star rating for this dealership that let's you know over and over that they are #1 in the valley. Let's start by saying we called and spoke to Terra who stated that she had the model and color vehicle we were looking for. Drove all the way down to Hanford to be told they didnt have the vehicle but we could test drive their other models. When we told them they were deceiving by lying to us, Terra got mad and walked away while I was talking to her. Which was VERY unprofessional. As a customer I would have had a little more respect for her if she just said she was sorry for the misunderstanding of lying to us about a car model and color she didnt have. She then sent her manager, Jeff, to tell me that when they say they have a car "available", it means if its not in their lot they can look for one. Which to a customer if you say you have a vehicle available, you have it in your lot. Because, if that was the case we would have just stayed close to home and looked for the car ourselves. Very disappointing. Customer service needs improvement. Hanford Freeway Toyota, you, would have a lot more happier customers and get a 4-5 star review instead of an average 3 star rating if you were honest. read more

I stopped in on Saturday to take a look at a used car that they had on their lot I test drove it and knew exactly what I was looking for as far as price because I had been researching for the last month or so. My Sales man was very helpful we came to an agreement on price fairly quickly so I will give a thumbs up to the sales team.My only dislike of this dealership was when I got to finance. It took a little too long to get me into the finance department to sign especially being that I already had a pre-approval and all the information was given to them it couldn't have been that they were busy because if I remember correctly they told me they had only sold two cars as of that point and the finance man (so bad with names) older man ..Art I think...was very condescending with his comments when I refused to purchase GAP. He went on and on and on and on and on ..god it was torture listening. I know it's you're job to try and sell me these things but if I've already said no more than once please stop.. you can loose a sell real quick that way and make someone upset with the stupid remarks. I bought three vehicles from this dealer salesman are all wonderful. The service is the worst I have ever had my wife took her truck there to get the oil changed. She is handicap and needed to go to an appointment they agreed to take her to that appointment approximately 1 1/2 miles away. When she asked for a ride they told her they were busy. I have taken my truck there twice for a dead battery which no lights or any equipment were left on. The first time I was in the mountains camping with my wife. After I got a kind person to give me a jump we drove to Hanford Toyota where they checked the battery and said it's fine and sent me on my way. The second time I didn't want to bother and just recharged it myself. The third time I was at home and called Hanford Toyota they said sure no problem bring it in tomorrow which is 40 miles one way. Took it there again same answer your batteries fine. Took it to a local battery dealer he said the battery was very weak and would not take a charge. would not recommend Hanford Toyota service. My next vehicle will probably be a Toyota but a different dealer their service is ridiculous. read more

The worst service I've ever experienced at a car dealership! They have a call center who is not knowledgable about deals and incentive combinations. They can not answer a question outside of their script nor can they explain or get you to someone who can answer your questions over the phone they require you to come in. After driving over an hour for a specific vehicle and set an appointment. They set me with an appointment with the name of the call center agent so to my surprise they passed me off. After waiting for 20 minutes while they figured out who was going to help me, I was helped, took the car for a test drive, the salesman didn't even know my name! Handed me the keys and said I'll see you soon. Came back started negations for the next four hours. Yes four hours only to find out they sold the car while I was negotiating and still let me continue to negotiate. Trying every tactic to distract me. They eventually came clean about selling my car four hours later when I was demanding my key to leave since they were low balling my trade. But before I left they tried to bait and switch with getting me into another 10,0000 car out of my budget stating we will make the deal with my specifications. They then said the numbers were ready, they weren't. After another 15m I left, they offered to buy my lunch but only if I return. I asked them to call me with the numbers, they never called. I called them just to see and they hadn't even worked my deal. They attempted to contact me three times that day offering me an additional 4000 on my trade sighting a corporate appraiser was on site. Really, let's be real. It's Sunday afternoon at 430 before New Year's Eve. A corporate appraiser randomly showing up? I got a call from the general manager with still no numbers on the new expensive out of budget car they were now trying to get me to buy. Mind you this general manager was the same guy that sold the other car while I was negotiating and didn't say a word. Oh, and watch out they try to get you to sigh up for their credit card for your down payment. It's a little form you may not ever know you signed it! They don't listen even when you write down your counter offer, I did this 5x all while they knew they sold the car. I will never be back to this place, ever! read more

Unfortunately Freeway Toyota is deceptive and dishonest. They tried to sneak in bogus extra costs on the paperwork that they refused to take off, even though we had already agreed on a purchase price, so I decided to go to another dealership. To make a long story short: I contacted Kevin Gallardo, the sales manager, and made him an offer for a vehicle they had on the lot. He accepted my offer, which was clearly an out-the-door price with only tax, title, and license to be added. After waiting a day and a half while they ran my credit (which is excellent) and were supposedly getting the purchase agreement prepared, they sent a "customer approval form" with the financing details that had tacked on an extra $450 for "mud guards, wheel locks, and lifetime nitrogen." I informed them I wasn't interested in those items, and reminded them that we had already agreed on an out-the-door price for the vehicle. Kevin refused to sell the vehicle without the extra $450 in charges and Tony Carranza, the general manager, declined to comment or do anything when I brought this to his attention. I don't know about you, but I'm not interested in buying from a dealer who's dishonest all the way up to the general manager; who knows what else they would do to cheat me! Ultimately I walked away from the deal and bought the same vehicle at another dealer. read more

Well I just visited this dealership and I've never had worse customer service!! The salesman named Christopher was extremely rude to me. His manager Dave was just as rude with ridiculous "negotiation" skills. First off I own a 2010 LT RS V6 Camaro. Keller themselves offered me 16k trade in value and these people offered me 11k and told me that my car just isn't worth anything. They are even supposedly offering a 125% trade in value deal. They then told me that the H3 that I wanted was priced at 26k when I had seen on several websites that they had it priced for as low as 21k. To top it all off, they ran both my girlfriend and I's credit without us authorizing to do so! After I became aware that this is what they had done, I told the salesman to get the manager. He said, "Sure, do these numbers work for you though? Can we make a deal with this?" He continued to talk about the terrible offer they gave me! I immediately got up and walked to find his manager. He then stated to my girlfriend, "Is he always like this? How long have you guys been together?" I can't think of a more rude thing to say. Once talking to the manager, he tried to tell me that by giving my social security number, that is authorization enough for them to run my credit which is NOT true. He continued to try justifying their actions over and over. I was irate because they were offering "125% trade in" and making deals "regardless of profit or loss" as they clearly say on their radio commercials. Then find out they ran out credits without either of us saying or signing anything! Please consider another dealership and not these scumbag thieves! read more

Went here for a transmission fluid change. I was happy that they were able to get me in quickly and get that done. Kind of upset that it's mandatory you have to take your Toyota vehicle to a Toyota dealership to get this work done due to the way the case is built & mounted. Anyways, after the job was done they came out to inform me of some extra work that was currently needed. After I thanked them and paid my bill I ran my car over to another local auto garage to ask some friends to check out these 'issues' I supposedly needed to have fixed. Supposedly there was power steering hose that was cracked and leaking, this was going to be a $450+ job but guess what? It was not cracked or leaking. Hmmm...? They also told me that both front & rear tires were out of alignment but this was also not the case either. My local tire shop told me that I needed to take caution when dealing with Freeway Toyota and I suggest anyone going here for any service to do the same. read more

Overall the experience was a 4 of out 5 stars due to the long wait times, in between running our numbers, computer issues & a few employees who were not as professional or helpful as our sales guy Chris Saldivar! I would personally give Chris 5 of out 5 stars for his help throughout our buying experience! Chris was professional from the first handshake until we drove off in our 'new' Sienna. Chris did his best to ensure that our family's best interest was priority! I'd also like to mention that our finance guy, Neng Yang, was very honest and helpful while closing our deal. He took the time to explain everything to us and answered all of our questions with ease, despite all the paperwork! Took my Toyota in--needed new evaporator When I went to pick it up I paid my bill, and some one from the service department drove my car out to me. I wish I would have taken a picture of how filthy it was--the window had smear marks, hand prints and when I sat in the driver seat, there was dust and dirt all over the dash. That was not even the worst of it. I could not believe what I was seeing---my dash now had cracks, chips, scratches! it was in 100 perfect condition when I brought it in. My radio face is now scratched, the steering column bellows was not properly re attached and it was not till a day later my husband found a screw on the floor--the glove box was not put back together correctly. I cannot even fathom who think it was ok to destroy my dashboard, give me back a dirty car, and not even notify me or my husband there had been an issue. Your employees were just going to let me drive off with my car in that condition!!! Who does that!!! Hoping I would not say anything? Is it is because i am a woman? I went back inside and asked the other service person , if they would have had to remove my dash. He said yes, He came out looked at my car, said he was sorry, and needed to get a manager. A manager came out, I showed him everything, he apologized, said I should not have been given back my car dirty and in this condition--he would get it cleaned up. I waited about 10 minutes, I asked him about my dash, he asked If I could come back the following Wednesday when the person who works on the interior would be there to see what he could do. I stated I see 2 things fix it or replace. He apologized again, said they took pictures, (so you can see the damage I am talking about)and then he gave me his card. I was so mad I just got in my car and drove off. I just paid you $1700.00 to ruin my car!! I realize things happen----hmmm the professional thing would have been to call us and tell us there was a problem and how you were going to fix it. I still can't believe the guy who drove my car to me did not notice. My husband called the next day, they apologized, and that he was going to get one ordered under manufacturers defect--it would be in hopefully next week-- Nope, it supposedly will be a 7 week back order and then he informs my husband that Toyota is not shipping them--does not know when it will come in. There are over 2300 on back order nation wide and none have been shipped. So apparently that is that!! I guess you figure you have done all you can and I just have to wait and drive around a jacked up car. No, I do not think so. First of all you cannot tell me Toyota will not ship a dashboard---maybe they are backed up on those ordered under manufacturers defect , but I bet if some one wanted to pay cash or an insurance company was paying for it, they would ship it. So why can't you do the same and replace mine at your cost--you are the ones who ruined it. read more

Service department needs a lot of work to get it up to par with the sales department. Purchased my truck brand new here. It was a great experience buying and never had any problems. Ruben my salesman was very pleasant to work with. Got me a deal I could live with. When buying the vehicle I opted to purchase the dealers car doc service package. When scheduling the first service I requested the transmission fluid get checked due to a weird feel during the truck shifting. Was told by Mike Hathaway, that in my truck you cannot check the fluid level and that if there was an issue there is sensors that would tell me it was low. During the 10k mile service I requested that they look into my gauge cluster due to the needles "tick-tock" movement. They took the truck and had a tech drive it but came back saying nothing was wrong. I opened a case with Toyota due to there not being a TSB for the gauge cluster. So I provided them nice GoPro videos of what was happening and they still wouldn't do anything. I also asked again for the transmission fluid to be checked and again Mike Hathaway told me you can't check it and refused to put it on the work request. During the 15k mile service I requested and alignment to go with my car doc service package. They informed me I needed to pay for this, which I did. Then I again requested that they check my transmission. The service manager David Santos and he met my request with no issues and had them check the fluid level. After they checked it they found the fluid level to be 1.5 quarts low. With the alignment they did the truck did not drive straight and the wheel was not level. With that i did not receive me an alignment sheet to show what they set it to. During the 20k mile service I requested an alignment due to the truck not driving straight and the wheel being off. They took the truck, but when I got it back I immediately noticed that the steering again wasn't straight and the truck didn't drive straight. I took the truck back immediately and they offered to fix it first thing in the morning. When I got home I decided to look at the truck myself and found that the tie rod steering linkage was physically loose. So during the Multi point inspection they said they checked all the steering components and adjusted the tie rods without noticing the rod was loose. When I went in to have the alignment fixed again, I mentioned it to the GM. While I was talking to the GM the tech Ruben got an attitude and started telling me that it wasn't his responsibility even though he signed a sheet saying it was good. After they fixed the alignment and I finished talking to the GM they didn't give me a alignment sheet again and refused to answer any questions I had. Overall I wouldn't trust the service department to stick to their word and DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORK. I would recommend getting service done at another dealership. read more

I have to say, my experience at Freeway Toyota was pretty painless. Car shopping isn't really a fun experience, but they made it pretty easy for me to not get stressed out. I wanted a basic vehicle with no extra packages or anything else that was going to set me back another couple hundred dollars. They found me exactly what I was looking for and didn't push any of the extras on me, which I appreciated. I would have gone to another Toyota dealership had they tried to get me to buy stuff I didn't need or want. I respect them for the basic fact that they respected me and my wishes. I signed the lease for a brand new truck not knowing (first time buyer) and tried to cancel it the following business day, due to financial issues, but didn't know there was NO 3-day cooling period for cars. The guy that sold me the car was Ruben, very very helpful. The general manager came and explained that I already signed all the paperwork and there wasn't much he could do. After talking for a bit he said he could try to lower my payments but no guarantee. When Ruben finally came in he took over and did everything he could to make sure his customers were happy. I went in to Freeway Toyota of Hanford about 3 weeks ago and i spoke to a salesman (Jay), who happened to be really kind and helpful test drove etc truck... Everything was great, also told them about a trade in. They took my info and the General Manager Dave/David came by. Be talked to myself and family very kindly at first. He even talked about a $200 cash if we purchased. (ALL TALK by the way) Everything was dandy, until it came to negotiating a trade in deal. He offered me such a low number compared to what i requested. He then asked "where did you come up with that number" i replied with the same question, and told him, "ill be glad to show you" and he said "okay sure" i opened my laptop and as i was opening the mac, he had the ordacity to close my laptop and tell me in a very rude tone "I DONT CARE WHAT YOUR CAR IS WORTH BECAUSE YOU LOVE THIS TRUCK AND AT THE END OF THE DAY IM GOING TO BE THE ONE PAYING FOR IT" it was the most awful and embarrassing experience i have had at any dealership. I was speechless and quiet. I couldnt believe he had the ordacity to tell that to a customer. NEWS FLASH, THAT IS NOT HOW YOU SHOULD DO BUSINESS! They also ran credit with different banks without concent. I called everyday for a week and every associate/ staff/ financing/ and general manager told me "ill call you back in 20min. (Can name up to six people, and until this day none ever did). I used to like Hanford Toyota, however since another owner aquired the dealership and changed it to Freeway Toyota of Hanford its been awful. Dave (manager) is the type of person that can be very kindly if there is something he wants from you. He will make you feel Great but to those who are less likely to rip off hes a total jerk. I had a scheduled appointment for 10:00 am today which I called for 3 days ago for a oil change nothing more just a oil change. Went into the dealership lobby and waited to speak with a representative that was just typing away on the computer he didn't have a client so I asked him that I was there to drop off my truck for a oil change I was asked to wait after 15 minutes of just waiting I finally asked someone else and was attended. I was told it would be a hour or so and they would call my cell phone when done. After waiting 4 Hours, I called the dealership to ask if my truck was done with the oil change they said they would call me back so they could check. I drove to the dealership just to find out that it was just taken to the back for a oil change mind you it was already 2:15 pm. The service here in Hanford is extremely awful .. nobody helps you as you come in, the waiting area was full of angry and frustrated customers they were saying how long they've been waiting as well. Mind you I had a pre scheduled appointment and that didn't help one bit. 4 hour wait and we called to remind them we haven't heard from them Really!! It took them 15 min to complete the oil change after we arrived at the dealership!! 15 min!!! We waited 4 hours on our days off, our day was ruined we sat and had to wait so we could pick up the truck.. All we were told was we're sorry we fell behind that's all!! I will never go to this dealership again not even to buy a car or truck!! They don't care about there customers and it's like a circus in there a lot of unsatisfied customers!! Save your money go to Fresno Bingham Toyota or Bill Wright Toyota they treat there customers with respect and in a timely manner. I will be going to them instead..the star is for the product which is Toyota other than that it's all no good!! read more
