So I was a die-hard French nails Patron for a long time. However that changed today. Last Friday I went in for an acrylic fill. They charged me $40 which wasn't bad. I tipped him as well. A few days later I had a broken nail. Not a big deal . Went in expecting to pay, and was charged $5. Again no big deal. Then yesterday I noticed another one of my nails was breaking. Went in today to have it fixed. I needed to have them cut down apparently which I wasn't told last Friday. When I expressed my frustration I was told that the acrylic underneath was old and crumbling and that next time I came in I would need a new set. I told them if you had told me this last time I would have just done the new set then and avoided having to come into additional times in one week's time. Jenny said Andy said they werent that way 1 WEEK AGO.....Then they charge me $30 to cut them down and repaint them. I was told this was the charge for a gel manicure. Only I got none of the perks of a gel manicure. No paraffin wax. No shoulder massage. This was the end of the line for me I will never go back, and I will certainly NOT recommend to my friends after this. read more

I would say used to be a 4 but slowly going down. Not saying I won't go back but anytime I get a male technician has not been good. Recently the technician hurt and the mini massage was painful. The owner is extremely rude and off putting-- always has been but considering COVID situation you would think she'd be more sympathetic. Unfortunately not the case. I called to see if they were open, drove by few days ago and saw Open sign. The owner could not take 2 minutes to answer basic questions about their current process, i.e. appointments only, partitions in place. She was only giving one word answers like yes or no, which by her tone seemed like she was making a huge effort. After she said she was busy with a customer, I said I was all set. Word of advice: don't answer the phone if you can't take 2 minutes to help the caller. Customers: You'd be better off spending your money elsewhere. You can get same pedi mani at any other salon, and without the nasty temperament. read more

This by far was the worst nail experience I have had in a long time. The manicure felt rushed and the way the nail polish was applied was incorrect. They do not soak your cuticles at all. I ended up smudging two nails so they had to repaint them. Come to find all of my nails had streaks on them. My mom's nails were rough and the polish was dented. The owner offered to redo them the next day, but I could not because we had a family party. She really should have offered me and my mom a manicure gift card. My manicure now two days later is all chipped. What a waste of valuable time and money. We will never go back there. read more

This is a beautiful salon that's very clean and spacious. I brought my friend here to have a little girl's day and get pedicures. I thought that $40 was bit much for a pedicure but we decided to go ahead and treat ourselves. The chairs you sit it for the pedicures have massagers in them so that you relax while they perform the service. When they sit you under the dryers, they give you a free 10 minute massage which was nice. They have a huge wall of nail polish from many different brands so finding a color you want should be fairly easy. They do accept card payment but tips however have to be in cash. read more

They did a fine job with my nails - they use the gel powder instead of acrylic. Howeve it took FOREVER... almost 2 hours! They claimed they HAD to take off my old acrylics to redo them (not sure if that was truly the case...). They did do a paraffin hand treatment and neck massage which was nice (but my hands were very sensitive to the paraffin and were very itch the next day). They're extremely pricey too.. it was $50 without tip! read more

This place is amazing! Super clean (immaculate) and everyone was very pleasant. I splurged for the French Spa pedi since I haven't had a pedi in months... bliss. Worth every penny. My nail tech was very good... I will ask for her next time I go. You can never tell how a massage will be... sometimes it's not enough pressure and sometimes it's wayyyy too much. This was perfect. My polish came out beautiful as well. I can't say what this place will be like on a Saturday, since I went on a Wednesday afternoon, but it was a prefect way to pamper myself on a day off. Wow, I am really blow away by this nail spa. I live in Cranston but I travel all over the world and get my nails done everywhere from Dubai to Aruba to Rhode Island I will say hands down this is the best place for the price that I have ever visited. Nail techs were friendly and helpful, the prices were great, the salon was very clean, there are a ton of chairs to be able to do nails with friends even pedicures. There are also lots and lots of polish options and my nail tech did a great job and really took pride in her work. French Nails and Spa has my business for life. read more

Let me start by saying I'm very fussy when it comes to my nails. I've been getting my nails done by the same lady for 15 years, however 7 years ago I moved and now to get a proper mani and pedi I have to drive an hour. For 7 years I've been searching for place that is clean, sanitary and actually know how to do nails. I have natural nails and many places seem to not file nails properly or the nail technician does a horrible job painting, etc... This place was recommended to me and I was extremely happy! The people are friendly, excellent selection of colors and quality polishes. They even offer you bottled water, great music. The place is extremely clean, nice massage chairs and quality work! This is my second time and so far I'm still happy. Jessie has been been doing my nails and I'm very happy with her and will continue come back! I'm happy I found a place that's nearby and does quality work. I still see my lady but this is my new spot so I don't have to drive an hour 2x a month any more! read more

I have been to French nails twice so far and I think it is the best nail salon I have been to. It is a clean spacious salon with a nice aesthetic. The staff is friendly, quick but not rushed, and do a great job. The warm wax hand treatment and head and neck massage got them 5 stars. I really love this place but the MOST annoying thing is making an appointment and not getting started until 30 minutes later. If you make an appointment make sure you have someone ready otherwise don't book it. Putting me in a pedi chair soaking my feet for 25 minutes doesn't count. read more

Went here for the first time last week. Based on the help reviews it looked great. Long story short, basically got refused service when I asked for acrylics. They said they had appointments all day yet it remained empty for my whole visit which was about an hour and 45 minutes. After basically threatening to leave and go somewhere else to get acrylics they reluctantly said they would, yet continued to give me attitude. I felt uncomfortable my whole visit continuously getting looks from the owner. I have never written a yelp review but i feel like this was very necessary to put out there. would not recommend. read more

Came for a pedi, stayed for a mani! Very clean. My technician was Jessie. Very sweet and helpful. Paraffin treatment and 3 minute shoulder massage with the mani. OPI and Essie polishes. My toes and fingers look fabulous! I am glad to have found this place. A little more expensive than where I had been going but definitely worth it. This is my go to place from now on! read more

I went to this nail salon for the first time a few weeks ago and I will NOT go back. The fellow who did my nails was a bit rough on my cuticles, and when complete it looked like I'd done the manicure myself. I also felt physically shocked when he came up behind me, when my nails we're drying and without speaking to me just started a "massage." What this fellow did to my back hurt and was not gentle or soothing. I wish he had asked me if I wanted one rather than just starting with warning me. read more

Today was my first time going here and I was very impressed. It was IMMACULATE! They used all brand new tools for my pedicure (came in a sealed package like when at the dentist). The girl who did my pedicure took her time and was very gentle and considerate while doing my pedicure. I will without a doubt be returning in the future for more pedicures as well as trying a manicure as well. Not only is it minutes from my home but the staff was very welcoming and pleasant and the facility was very, very clean which is so important especially in this type of business. read more

I chose to visit French Nails based solely on the recommendation of my aesthetician, a woman who prizes cleanliness. This salon didn't disappoint-it was impeccable, even the bathroom was spotless. The vibe of the place was stylish, new, modern & clean. I didn't feel at all rushed...in fact, for the first time in a long time I felt pampered at a nail salon! I chose a spa pedi ($45) which included a hot stone massage-bliss. I liked Nana so much, I had a gel mani (which I haven't had in months, having just about given up on finding a good salon-$30). My nails are perfect-shaped exactly the way I wanted, neat, clean, perfectly polished. I brought my own OPI Infinite Shine kit & they were perfectly fine with that; in fact, Nana matched my gel polish to my toes. Gratuities in cash; there's an ATM onsite but you can use your credit/debit card to pay for services. Excellent selection of polish colors & formulas/brands. Terrible customer service!!! Went here based on the awesome reviews and got the total opposite. Went in needing a pedicure and a waaay overdue gel manicure. I was not offered any choices for the pedicure. Another customer after me was given a brochure with choices. Really enjoyed the massage after the pedicure. I had very long natural nails with the gel polish but half were broken. Nail tech called over who I think was the owner. She tells me that I have artificial nails and that they would charge me to remove them. I told her that those were my natural nails and that I had gel polish on them. She questioned why some of them were short if they were natural nails. I was waaay overdue for a manicure hence the broken nails. She continued to tell me my nails were artificial making me feel so uncomfortable. The nail tech at the next station over took attention away from her customer to see what was going. Even the customer was looking. The owner decides one last time to tell me with a smirk on her face that my nail are artificial and walks away. The absolute worst experience I've ever had. read more
