Everything went well except for the 45 to 50 minutes. We had to wait to get a table. Would recommend a call in. Food was delicious. Waitresses and waiters were exceptionally nice. Our only problem was that we didn't call in. Now we know. Definitely five stars if you're not considering the long wait. read more

This place looked promising. We were seated and waited 7 minutes before someone noticed us and we asked for menus. The service was mediocre. We had three different servers come up and try to take our order... The food was decent. The place was clean and bright. The highlight was getting offered a free chai latte that the barista had accidentally made. That was delicious. Somehow, it ended up on our bill but they did take it off after we explained. We ordered the Bloody Caesar and honey dew cocktail. Both drinks disappointed. One was too sweet the other did not have enough tomato base. The section we were in was very disorganized and we don't even know who was our server. We would give this place another chance but ask to not be seated in this section. read more

Stopped in on a weekend and was pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. The place has a cozy, welcoming vibe and is tucked into a strip shopping center. There was a steady stream of customers, and the staff was warm and attentive. The owner or manager even made rounds before and after our meal, checking in with each table -- a really thoughtful touch! My husband really enjoyed his biscuits and gravy and said he'd definitely come back again. I went for the French toast, which is clearly one of their specialties, hence the name. It's hard to go wrong with it -- the fresh fruit and whipped cream were a delicious bonus. I wasn't as impressed with the eggs and bacon, though. The eggs were a bit too dry for my liking, and while the bacon was crispy, it had a strange aftertaste. Overall, it's definitely worth another visit. Prices were reasonable -- no sense of being overcharged -- and I especially loved the convenience of the iced lattes served in to-go cups. We have been to French Toast Cafe twice. Both meals exceeded our expectations for flavor and quality. The price was reasonable and the service was over the top for friendly, helpful, and quick. I ordered steak and eggs on our last visit. I never expect a great steak at a coffee shop. What I got was an 8 oz New York steak. All New Yorks have a little gristle along the edge as did this one. BUT, this one was tender and had great beef flavor. And I don't know how they cook the over medium eggs but they were also very flavorful. The only drawback to this restaurant is that there will most likely be a wait to get in. They are expanding soon and that will help. read more

I wish I could take about this place but to be seated and wait 25 mins before they come get your beverage order is ridiculous. To see guests who are seated 15 mins after you get their beverages and order if you'd placed before you are even addressed is nit acceptable. Food is good but waiting 25 mins to order isn't ok. I've tried this place 3 different times and no improvement in the service or lack there of. They have plenty of staff just not attentive enough or ran efficiently. read more

A cute, casual neighborhood spot with solid food and great prices. A friend and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and ordered iced pistachio lattes, the chorizo omelette, and a Philly steak sandwich. ABSOLUTELY LOVED! We visited early in the morning before it got too busy. The staff was very friendly and attentive with us, our waitress was such a gem. The building is a bit small, but early in the morning, it is no problem at all and wasn't too crowded; I can image it gets a little intense in later hours. The food was amazing and so delicious! We had no complaints whatsoever about any of our meals or drinks. And for the price? It can't get any better! I'm dreaming about coming back. :) read more

We have been wanting to try this restaurant, which is right by our house. I am sorry we waited so long. The food, the service and vibe were beyond my expectations. The 4 of us all ordered something different. An omelette (huge and stuffed with meat), Avocado toast, biscuits and gravy and cinnamon French toast with a side of Nutella. It was either someplace we know is good or a new place, we went with something new. We were seated within 5 mins. Our waitress seemed to not want to be there or just wasn't really happy go lucky with us. She was very happy with other tables but not us, which kinda set the mood for us :/ we ordered an orange juice and a salted pistachio latte w/ oat milk, a cappuccino w/ oat milk, skillet and 2 biscoff French toast meal. Their menu has so much to offer, I heard they have a French toast flight.. but we didn't know that when we were there. The cappuccino was sad. No design, not even an attempt at one lol. My friend said she couldn't taste the pistachio in her latte, it tasted like just almond milk on ice with maybe a squirt of pistachio syrup?? The orange juice was really good though! We had high hope for this place with all the good reviews. The French toast was really good!! But the skillet was "ok". Lacked a lot of flavor. Super mad. I was excited to try a new neighborhood breakfast spot. It was like a startup IHOP with no flavor, higher prices, and no ambience. When I walked in, there were three other tables of people, but it was so quiet it was like all eyes on me. The eggs were light and fluffy, but they had no flavor at all other than butter. Check your bill!!!! They overcharge and don't match the menu prices! I didn't realize until after we left... Upon paying for our bill it seemed like it was more expensive than I expected. We asked if they do a military discount and they only applied it to the kid's pancakes... strange. But the prices on our check don't match the menu. See picture... My omelette was $13.99 on the menu, pancake meal said $8.99 and the French toast was $17.99, so we got way over charged - very sneaky!!!! If it's a surcharge for using debit then YOU NEED TO COMMUNICATE THAT! I would have paid cash if I knew that! That's seriously rude if you ask me!!!! We went here once when they first opened and had pretty much the same experience. We had higher hopes but they fell short. Not sure why this place is so popular? We waited 20 min for a table, which isn't bad considering how busy this place gets. The coffee wasn't that good in my opinion, it was too woody/burnt tasting. I ordered a mimosa after trying the coffee, it was ok. Kids had the pancakes and they were huge portions so they shared. My son didn't seem to like the pancake that much but my daughter liked it. My husband had the pistachio French toast and liked it but said the bacon was too thick and chewy. I had the haven omelet with hash browns and English muffin. The only thing edible on this plate was the English muffin and slices of avocado. The hash browns had a strange texture and tasted like it was mixed with sour water. Pretty gross. My omelette was chewy and had a char on the outside making it dried out and had a similar texture to the hash browns. The bacon was chewy to me too and of course the canned mushrooms had zero flavor. Overall, good service, other than not returning to ask if we needed drink refills. I rated the food poor based on my meal because I couldn't eat most of it. I won't return here for the food. The atmosphere is crowded and busy. I'm not a fan of being crammed in like a sardine. I suggest this place consider expanding their dining room. read more

Yes, it was busy and that's a good thing. I've seen people leave bad reviews just because they had to wait. To me, a packed house means people know it's worth it, and they were absolutely right. Everything we ordered was amazing, but I have to call out the orange juice!!!! hands down the best I've ever had. The servers were friendly, checked in several times without being overbearing, and the owner was walking around talking to guests like he genuinely cared. That kind of presence matters. It's great to see a local spot thriving. We'll definitely be back to check out the lunch menu. Support local especially when it's this good. read more
