6/21/25 Late lunch Parking 5/5 Easy peasy today, arrived ~1 pm. Atmosphere 5/5 Covered in prior reviews, clean, fun trendy modern. Service 5/5 Today we had the pleasure of being served by someone new. We had our drink and meal taken promptly. Ordered the mushroom burger, slaw and side of onion rings. Food 5/5 ++ French Toast Resturant never disappoints. Freshly prepared scratch meals are delicious whether from the breakfast, lunch or dinner options! The large burger is served on a nicely toasted bun, with mayo, onion lettuce, pickles and Swiss cheese. I choose the slightly sweet coleslaw and their "Dare-me-Not-to -Eat" crunchy onion rings. Everything was delicious and satisfying. $53.20 includes the tip. Bon Appetit my Friends-SYOY!

When walking up to the place it looks like every other small business cafe with an adorable sign. Once you're inside it blasts you with designs all over the walls with pictures and writings of what's on the menu. I put my son and my name in and within maybe 15 minutes we were seated at a table. My son ordered the French toast and it came out pretty quick. I got the biscuits and gravy with sourdough, it did take a little longer but those biscuits covered in gravy were well worth the wait! Biscuits were moist and buttery and the gravy was perfect definitely a must get if you go. So glad I live right up the road we will be coming here plenty!

Everyone was craving French toast so we tried a variety of items. We ordered the French toast flight. Which we were able to choose three different flavors. We choose pistachio, Nutella and biscoff. The biscoff is a bit thick but it was amazing. It paired really well with the whipped cream, banana and strawberries. They also give a side of syrup, but it's sweet enough already without the syrup. We also tried the country fried steak with an over easy egg. They offer a variety of bread options such as sour dough, white, wheat,etc. we also got some chicken tenders on the side which was surprisingly very juicy and flavor ful. We were told that the chicken tenders were really under rated. Which is true. The staff were super nice and friendly. The came over to check on us here and there. And after we made a bill spill in the table everyone came offering to clean up the spill. They have a pretty wide open dining area. The floors are clean and really tidy. Whenever anyone in our group finished a plate the staff would come and ask may I clear your plate, or anything else. Whenever in Arizona would love to try other items.

Great find again French Toast The French toast was excellent, and the eggs were cooked just right. The only thing that didn't quite hit were the home fries, but everything else made up for it. Service was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and very welcoming for a first-time visit. Well worth it. I'll definitely be back.

After seeing all the good reviews for this place, we decided to give it a try during our recent trip to AZ. As I mentioned previously, we've been impressed by the number of places that serve breakfast in the East Valley. We were here on a weekday around 11 a.m., and they were doing a brisk business. I must say, they are well organized in keeping track of customers waiting to be seated. The restaurant is in a strip mall, and there is a roof outside that keeps the sun away and, I imagine, the occasional rain. Plus, there are enough seats for those waiting. We gave the man at the outdoor podium our name and told him there were two of us. We didn't have to wait very long. While they are known for their French toast, we both decided to get an omelet. We both ordered the omelet that had bacon bites, cheese, and tomatoes. This dish also comes with hash browns and one's choice of toast (we both chose sourdough). To drink, I had a raspberry iced tea while my husband had orange juice. Service was on point. Our server was friendly, polite, and efficient. She was also well-versed when it came to the menu. All in all, we are glad we gave them a try. Next time, I think I'll order some French toast :)

I had seen the sign for this restaurant when passing the parking lot several times and finally came in for breakfast this weekend. Super busy as I would expect on a Sunday morning, so I got on the waitlist on Yelp before heading to the restaurant which is always a plus! The hostess outside greeted us and sat us right away. Our server was great as well getting our order in quick and even helped us out by making the items we ordered into a combo for us to save a little money! The restaurant felt like a modern version of a classic diner, busy, packed, but with a modern menu and decor. We got the French toast flight and got to try the cinnamon, Nutella, and Bueno French toasts and all were amazing! The Bueno tasted exactly like a Kinder Bueno chocolate bar. I'll definitely be back to try their savory breakfast items!

3/21/26: Yum-mee! FTC is not in our neighborhood but a friend mentioned it to us so we made the drive from Laveen. Glad we did because it was so effing good. Drinks: we ordered a couple mocktails. The blackberry sangria & blood orange. Both were very good, though the blood orange slightly inched out the blackberry from first place (in my opinion). Food: the pistachio waffle combo & Dubai French toast combo. Both came out hot and were large combos. So unless you eat a lot, be prepared to have leftovers. Size: it's not a very large place so it can get crowded. We were lucky enough to hit a sweet time spot & were seated immediately, but as we dined, there began to be a waiting list. Service: we had at least three people visit our table for drinks, food, clean up, and just general "how is everything?" Parking: plenty of it.

I was looking for a new breakfast place and decided to try French Toast Cafe. It was a bit further than I planned on going, but I'm glad I did. I would suggest joining the online wait list or calling to be putting on the wait list. The wait was over an hour. Once we were seated we did not have to wait long for our server to greet us and take our order. We also did not have to wait long for our food. I will say we did have to wait a bit for our iced coffees. I ordered the cinnamon French toast which was so good. My fiance ordered the breakfast quesadilla. The quesadilla was huge. The service was amazing. Everyone made sure we had gotten our order taken and asked if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

I went during saturday breakfast rush at 10am Had to wait 15/20 mins for a table for 2. (Which is normal for the time/day) the food comes in big portions, the wait staff even though floored was kind and attentive enough. The Belgian waffle was good. The eggs, hashbrowns etc was mid, standard taste nothing special nothing wow. If I had to choose between IHOP and here, id choose Ihop for the price and comparison. The only reason to come is to support local business. Over-hyped for breakfast.

Finally got to try this place. It was busy but the wait for my grandma and I was just 15-20 mins. Very friendly service and everyone helps out. The food was delicious! I love dubai chocolate so def sweet and am glad they have the banana and strawberries on the side

This place is amazing! both the food and the service are 5 star. I've dined in here several times and have never been disappointed. However I do not recommend ordering through delivery, they are so busy that they have forgotten half my order before. Take the time to dine in instead. Otherwise, ENJOY!!!!! read more

ABSOLUTELY LOVED! We visited early in the morning before it got too busy. The staff was very friendly and attentive with us, our waitress was such a gem. The building is a bit small, but early in the morning, it is no problem at all and wasn't too crowded; I can image it gets a little intense in later hours. The food was amazing and so delicious! We had no complaints whatsoever about any of our meals or drinks. And for the price? It can't get any better! I'm dreaming about coming back. :) read more

This place is great all around. Very modern but old skool cafe ambience. Dining in certain spots is tight, not a problem though. Service was stellar. Waiters always making rounds and food was far better than your typical chain eatery. Definitely will return. read more

It's a popular place, so you'll likely have to wait at least 15 minutes to sit down, but I'd say it's worth it. We had to wait around 30 minutes but when we got seated, the food came fast and it was very delicious. They accommodated us having a toddler and a newborn by providing a high chair and some space for the stroller. Funny owner, we liked the place. read more

It was either someplace we know is good or a new place, we went with something new. We were seated within 5 mins. Our waitress seemed to not want to be there or just wasn't really happy go lucky with us. She was very happy with other tables but not us, which kinda set the mood for us :/ we ordered an orange juice and a salted pistachio latte w/ oat milk, a cappuccino w/ oat milk, skillet and 2 biscoff French toast meal. Their menu has so much to offer, I heard they have a French toast flight.. but we didn't know that when we were there. The cappuccino was sad. No design, not even an attempt at one lol. My friend said she couldn't taste the pistachio in her latte, it tasted like just almond milk on ice with maybe a squirt of pistachio syrup?? The orange juice was really good though! We had high hope for this place with all the good reviews. The French toast was really good!! But the skillet was "ok". Lacked a lot of flavor. I hate other peoples French toast, to the point that every time I order it I feel regret. My French toast is so good that I stopped ordering it out years ago. However, today my friend suggested the French Toast Cafe and I felt like if anyone could serve me an enjoyable French toast it should be them. We were treated to a crowd waiting which is always a great sign, and I'm thrilled to report I ate every bite. Highly recommend the regular French toast without all the add ons. This place is tik tok popular - but not worth it. The food came out WAY too fast, the "homefries" were saturated in grease and inedible. The weirdly looked like greasy thick Ruffles instead of normal home fries. The server never came back to refill coffee or water, we had to ask for silverware and napkins after the food came out. The. they give you the machine to pay table side without letting you see the itemized bill. Not worth the wait or the expense. read more

Super mad. I was excited to try a new neighborhood breakfast spot. It was like a startup IHOP with no flavor, higher prices, and no ambience. When I walked in, there were three other tables of people, but it was so quiet it was like all eyes on me. The eggs were light and fluffy, but they had no flavor at all other than butter. The star of the show on the French toast is the Nutella sauce. I was hoping for more and wanted to love this place. read more

First time visit. The gold star ratings are spot on for this restaurants. Family group of 12 women... we ordered selections from both breakfast and lunch menus. Huge selection! Every dish a winner! The food was excellent and the prices so reasonable. The service was outstanding. Our server was excellent, every order came out correct and we were able to arrange for separate checks. The staff never stopped, folks clearing away plates, refilling water or coffee etc This is a small restaurant, and they don't take reservations. So be prepared to wait, knowing it is worth it. Yes, it was busy and that's a good thing. I've seen people leave bad reviews just because they had to wait. To me, a packed house means people know it's worth it, and they were absolutely right. Everything we ordered was amazing, but I have to call out the orange juice!!!! hands down the best I've ever had. The servers were friendly, checked in several times without being overbearing, and the owner was walking around talking to guests like he genuinely cared. That kind of presence matters. It's great to see a local spot thriving. We'll definitely be back to check out the lunch menu. Support local especially when it's this good. read more

**Alli's Culinary Adventures and Tales in the White Mountains** Though this was down in The Valley on a Sunday morning. The French Toast Cafe...worth the wait to get in! Looked up "Breakfast Near Me" on my phone and this is what came up. Amazing. The various servers were attentive, no nonsense of "this ain't my table". I had the Pistachio French Toast! I said PISTACHIO FRENCH TOAST!!!!! Damn, this is goooood eating!!! Lots of other flavors and very hard to choose from. Breakfast burritos, omelettes, VERY good coffee! Holding the fork in front of my nose, inhaling the aroma, a hint of cinnamon, fluffy bread, very light. I ate about half without the syrup and dipped the rest of the forkfuls into the syrup. The whipped cream just added a bit more of the goodness to each mouthful. All I can say is...wow! The one young lady (damn, I wish I could remember to ask names!) told me about the "French Toast Flight" that they serve. Uhh...a "flight" of French Toast??? Who'd'a'thunkit? As she passed by at different times, she showed me three different plates of French Toast FLIGHTS! The steak in the steak and eggs was rock hard to cut into, and it was bright red and not cooked at all, had to finish cooking ourselves on the stove. It also didn't have any flavor. The French toast was hard to cut into as well. I was excited but won't order from here again read more

I love breakfast! And I love trying new places and consistently use Yelp and other's reviews to find my next favorite spot. Today I had the pleasure of doing lunch at French Toast Cafe with a friend. I found them with Yelp and read several reviews about how good the food was. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! I had the Biscoff French Toast, a recommendation from our awesome waitress. Delicious!! The eggs and bacon were super yummy too. The cafe is clean and nicely decorated and the staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely a spot to check out! Oh my gosh, what a treat! We chose this based on yelp reviews, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the avocado toast, and it was probably the best I've ever had. The toast was such a great flavor! And a light drizzle of balsamic on top. Wish I had taken a picture before I dove in but I was too hungry. my husband had the skillet and it included the country fried steak. If it weren't rude to lick the plate, I'm sure he would have. If you are considering breakfast options, quit looking now! Come here and be wowed by the ambience and the food. The owner is the best. Food is very tasty coffee is great , service is wonderful and prompt, my only grib is the wait time on the weekend, it can be 30+ minutes outside on side walk in the Arizona summer heat. Otherwise all staff were super friendly and anticipated our needs with grill changes which was nice. The atmosphere is great. It's small and casual but very comfortable and upscale at the same time. Of course, had to wait for the hype to die down before checking it out. Once there, the server explained the process - basically you just place all your orders through the iPad that's on the table. Very convenient to scroll through the different categories and everything has pics to help you decide what to order. Once you have your selections in your cart, you just send your order to the kitchen. You can do this for multiple rounds, basically just small to medium sized orders until you feel like you're at a good stopping point. The first thing to select is the broths. You can choose 2 broths or 4 broths. For our group size, the server recommended 2 broths so everything can heat up and cook quickly. We got the tom yum soup and the three delicacies soup base (seafood, mushrooms, jujubes). We also got an assortment of meats, veggies, etc. The tom yum soup was by far our favorite. The other one was too bland. Honestly I didn't know what all meats we ordered, just that they were delicious. Some other highlights were: pork dumplings, potato noodles, etc. We also got the signature dancing noodle, which I thought was purely for show, but the noodle itself was really great - super chewy. I frequently had to flag down the waitress for a refill or help. If you're looking for a first hot pot experience, celebrating with kids, or want the novelty of the noodle show, you may enjoy it. But if you're already familiar with hot pot and are coming primarily for the food, you may find it hard to justify the price. I stopped by French Toast Cafe and WOW this place gets it right! I ordered the French Toast Flight (because how could I not?) and every flavor was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. I also got the veggie omelette, which was fresh, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The waitstaff were so kind and attentive and the owner came by to check on us, which really made the experience feel personal and welcoming. I stopped by with my sister and niece at this new spot and let me tell you it was such a vibe from clean to service to food. We ordered steak and egg, spinach omelette and of course the star of the show their Nutella French toast. All were delicious and will definitely be back again. read more
