6/21/25 Late lunch Parking 5/5 Easy peasy today, arrived ~1 pm. Atmosphere 5/5 Covered in prior reviews, clean, fun trendy modern. Service 5/5 Today we had the pleasure of being served by someone new. We had our drink and meal taken promptly. Ordered the mushroom burger, slaw and side of onion rings. Food 5/5 ++ French Toast Resturant never disappoints. Freshly prepared scratch meals are delicious whether from the breakfast, lunch or dinner options! The large burger is served on a nicely toasted bun, with mayo, onion lettuce, pickles and Swiss cheese. I choose the slightly sweet coleslaw and their "Dare-me-Not-to -Eat" crunchy onion rings. Everything was delicious and satisfying. $53.20 includes the tip. Bon Appetit my Friends-SYOY!

We've been talking about trying French Toast Cafe ever since they opened, and when my daughter announced she was craving French toast this morning, it seemed like the perfect excuse to finally visit. From the moment we walked in, the experience was easy and welcoming. We were greeted warmly and invited to sit wherever we liked. Menus, napkins, and utensils were already on the table, which was a nice touch and meant we could start browsing the extensive menu right away. Our server arrived promptly to take our drink order. I enjoyed my usual iced tea, and my daughter was thrilled to find Diet Dr Pepper on the menu--a rare find at many breakfast spots, so bonus points for that! I ordered the Belgian waffle, which was delicious, and paired it with a side of bacon that was cooked perfectly with just the right smoky flavor. My daughter went all in on the stuffed French toast, filled with cream cheese and topped with blackberry syrup. Needless to say, she was one happy customer. One thing that stood out was the menu itself. There are so many options and customization choices that narrowing down what to order was the hardest part of the meal. Everything sounded tempting! Our server was cheerful, attentive, and checked back to make sure everything was just right. Overall, breakfast was solid, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. We'll definitely be back to work our way through more of that menu.

So I remember they added onto their Cafe and what a change to the good this place is twice as big as it was before and they were still very very busy. Very happy for the owners food still was good. I had the very berry French toast couple eggs, bacon very good meal check it out. I think you will enjoy it. Very cool inside

When walking up to the place it looks like every other small business cafe with an adorable sign. Once you're inside it blasts you with designs all over the walls with pictures and writings of what's on the menu. I put my son and my name in and within maybe 15 minutes we were seated at a table. My son ordered the French toast and it came out pretty quick. I got the biscuits and gravy with sourdough, it did take a little longer but those biscuits covered in gravy were well worth the wait! Biscuits were moist and buttery and the gravy was perfect definitely a must get if you go. So glad I live right up the road we will be coming here plenty!

Everyone was craving French toast so we tried a variety of items. We ordered the French toast flight. Which we were able to choose three different flavors. We choose pistachio, Nutella and biscoff. The biscoff is a bit thick but it was amazing. It paired really well with the whipped cream, banana and strawberries. They also give a side of syrup, but it's sweet enough already without the syrup. We also tried the country fried steak with an over easy egg. They offer a variety of bread options such as sour dough, white, wheat,etc. we also got some chicken tenders on the side which was surprisingly very juicy and flavor ful. We were told that the chicken tenders were really under rated. Which is true. The staff were super nice and friendly. The came over to check on us here and there. And after we made a bill spill in the table everyone came offering to clean up the spill. They have a pretty wide open dining area. The floors are clean and really tidy. Whenever anyone in our group finished a plate the staff would come and ask may I clear your plate, or anything else. Whenever in Arizona would love to try other items.

Great find again French Toast The French toast was excellent, and the eggs were cooked just right. The only thing that didn't quite hit were the home fries, but everything else made up for it. Service was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and very welcoming for a first-time visit. Well worth it. I'll definitely be back.

After seeing all the good reviews for this place, we decided to give it a try during our recent trip to AZ. As I mentioned previously, we've been impressed by the number of places that serve breakfast in the East Valley. We were here on a weekday around 11 a.m., and they were doing a brisk business. I must say, they are well organized in keeping track of customers waiting to be seated. The restaurant is in a strip mall, and there is a roof outside that keeps the sun away and, I imagine, the occasional rain. Plus, there are enough seats for those waiting. We gave the man at the outdoor podium our name and told him there were two of us. We didn't have to wait very long. While they are known for their French toast, we both decided to get an omelet. We both ordered the omelet that had bacon bites, cheese, and tomatoes. This dish also comes with hash browns and one's choice of toast (we both chose sourdough). To drink, I had a raspberry iced tea while my husband had orange juice. Service was on point. Our server was friendly, polite, and efficient. She was also well-versed when it came to the menu. All in all, we are glad we gave them a try. Next time, I think I'll order some French toast :)

I had seen the sign for this restaurant when passing the parking lot several times and finally came in for breakfast this weekend. Super busy as I would expect on a Sunday morning, so I got on the waitlist on Yelp before heading to the restaurant which is always a plus! The hostess outside greeted us and sat us right away. Our server was great as well getting our order in quick and even helped us out by making the items we ordered into a combo for us to save a little money! The restaurant felt like a modern version of a classic diner, busy, packed, but with a modern menu and decor. We got the French toast flight and got to try the cinnamon, Nutella, and Bueno French toasts and all were amazing! The Bueno tasted exactly like a Kinder Bueno chocolate bar. I'll definitely be back to try their savory breakfast items!

3/21/26: Yum-mee! FTC is not in our neighborhood but a friend mentioned it to us so we made the drive from Laveen. Glad we did because it was so effing good. Drinks: we ordered a couple mocktails. The blackberry sangria & blood orange. Both were very good, though the blood orange slightly inched out the blackberry from first place (in my opinion). Food: the pistachio waffle combo & Dubai French toast combo. Both came out hot and were large combos. So unless you eat a lot, be prepared to have leftovers. Size: it's not a very large place so it can get crowded. We were lucky enough to hit a sweet time spot & were seated immediately, but as we dined, there began to be a waiting list. Service: we had at least three people visit our table for drinks, food, clean up, and just general "how is everything?" Parking: plenty of it.

I was looking for a new breakfast place and decided to try French Toast Cafe. It was a bit further than I planned on going, but I'm glad I did. I would suggest joining the online wait list or calling to be putting on the wait list. The wait was over an hour. Once we were seated we did not have to wait long for our server to greet us and take our order. We also did not have to wait long for our food. I will say we did have to wait a bit for our iced coffees. I ordered the cinnamon French toast which was so good. My fiance ordered the breakfast quesadilla. The quesadilla was huge. The service was amazing. Everyone made sure we had gotten our order taken and asked if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

I went during saturday breakfast rush at 10am Had to wait 15/20 mins for a table for 2. (Which is normal for the time/day) the food comes in big portions, the wait staff even though floored was kind and attentive enough. The Belgian waffle was good. The eggs, hashbrowns etc was mid, standard taste nothing special nothing wow. If I had to choose between IHOP and here, id choose Ihop for the price and comparison. The only reason to come is to support local business. Over-hyped for breakfast.

Don't let the crowd of people waiting outside fool you. The wait was only 15 minutes and well worth it! The owner is a sweetheart teddy bear. The food is good sized portions and tasty! If you chose a chain restaurant over this delicious and nutritious option, that's your own fault. read more

Went for the first time to this restaurant for brunch and we will for sure be returning! The owner happened to wait on us and he was just the warmest nicest guy so we right away liked the place but then we got our food and man we were sold! There were 4 of us and we ordered the French toast flight (blackberry, pistachio, and raspberry white chocolate), a country fried steak skillet, a shredded beef skillet, and an egg and pancake and every one of the items did not disappoint. The egg was made slightly off my liking and the owner adamantly insisted on making it right even though I said it was no problem. I highly highly recommend if you have not checked this place out yet you do so! read more

A few days ago my mom and I stopped in for lunch. I've been here a few times before, but not since the renovation, and it looks great. Usually I get the French toast, but this time I switched it up and tried the Godzilla Burger. It definitely lives up to the name -- great portion, great flavor, and I'll definitely be ordering it again. The food came out quickly, the servers were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, and the place felt clean and organized. We'll definitely be back soon. read more

My mom and I had breakfast here today. The place is super cute and clean. The latte was solid and the service was great. I have 1 star for the salted pistachio latte and 1 for the service. Our waiter was super nice! However, the food we had was not great. We didn't get any of the sweet breakfast items which I'm sure they're known for. So this is just the rating on our food. Mom's got an omelette and it was burnt. The worse thing is burnt egg. I got 1/2 the order do biscuits and gravy with a side of chorizo. Their chorizo is the pork tine kind which the crispy parts were fine but the rest was mushy and gave me the immediate ick. The gravy was flavorless and the biscuit was dry and almost powdery if that makes sense. If I were to come back it would only be for the latte and to try one of their French toasts. read more

Came back again, been 3x's now in total. My husband enjoys it more than I do. First the positive, we split the Biscoff French toast and the Haven omelette. Got the home fries, both were good although why canned mushrooms? Slimy, nasty things. Beyond the food here is what turned me off about the place. Issue 1: Fox News on the TV, they have 2 TV's, one had food pictures the other the news. Here's a thought maybe don't have TV's on or maybe put it on sports especially on a Sunday. 2. Being asked 3x in 5 mins if I am ready to order. I am usually quick to decide but frankly I was deciding whether to get up and leave. Three stars for the food, 1 for the ambiance=2 stars in total. read more

Cute place in mesa for breakfast. There food was quite good but service was not the best for us. We did have a group of 8 and luckily got a table. Know their policy is that everyone must be there in order to get seated. For drinks they have dome coffees and juixe. The coconut coffee was very good. They struggled to get us all water and it took a few times asking to get water with my coffee. Also they did not help clean up a spill that happened when delivering juice. For foods there are lots of options including gluten free! There was gluten free toast, pancakes, and waffles. Prices were also quite good. Most got the French toast which there were so many flavors and looked really good. I got a Benedict with gluten free toast. It was good, do wish there was more hollandaise and it fid come with a handful of potatoes. Overall food was decent and would try more there. read more

I love the French Toast Cafe! I had a business breakfast there this morning, and I took my family for brunch on MLK day. They are always friendly, and it's impressive how more than one person helps service your table. It's always busy because so many people love it! I've had dubai chocolate french toast, crepes, eggs benedict, the steak omelet, and a burger with jalapeno poppers. Loved them all! read more

First time coming here and I'm already wanting to come back! We checked in online, which I really recommend, we completely skipped the wait. The wonderful hostess got us seated immediately. The staff is so very friendly, our waitress, Olivia, did an amazing job and checked in on us multiple times. The place is very full and loud but not overwhelming. We got our food fairly quickly and it was amazing! The blackberry crepe was sweet and soft, the fruit on the side was really fresh. Also, the french toast good of course, soft and flavorful, but the syrup! It made the place smell amazing and went well with everything. I'd also recommend trying the orange juice, it was so fresh and tasted like Arizona oranges. I'm looking forward to coming back soon!! read more

Bad service and not so great food! Waited 30 mins to get to table and waited 40 mins inside for the food. I also waited 30 mins for a drink. It's overly hyped. The food that came out wasn't good for the wait. The hash brown was overcooked and the crepe wasn't good. read more

The staff are ALL really welcoming and very friendly. The owner walks out in to the restaurant to check in with all the patrons. McKinley was our waitress and she was totally a sweetheart. The food was great. We had eggs and bacon and omelettes and tried the French Toast too. Everything was GREAT! Worth a visit. You won't be disappointed read more

Feels like a local restaurant back home. Very welcoming as soon as you walk in. The steak and eggs is reasonably priced for the amount of food. (Don't mind the fries) buddy got a breakfast quesadilla which I ended up ordering on a serving visit! Food was very good! Steak was perfectly cooked! Definitely in heavy rotation for visits! Picked this place because of the great reviews. It was my birthday breakfast. There were 4 of us. Out of the 4 only one person liked their breakfast. My brother loves french toast. It was not good!!! I tried a bite. If you are going to brag about your french toast it better be special. It was not!! Get some much better bread and recipe and then it might!!!! I had the avocado toast. It was bad. The toast was barely warm not toasted! The arugula should have been sautéed or warmed up and the glaze on it did not work at all. My cousin had the veggie omelet and said it was very bland. The only thing that they liked were the home fries. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Very disappointed. It was my birthday and I thought it would be very good. It was not. Hope you can improve your menu items read more

I was a bit nervous to order the chorizo omelet as I couldn't find any reviews for it, but it was exactly what I hoped it would be and what I was craving. It hit the spot. 2nd time review has been deleted! I see yelp allowed owners to have negative reviews taken down! Owner is rude, very poor customer service, doesn't know (or acts like he doesn't) know where his eggs are sourced from in the midst of egg salmonella issues. Food is overrated. Avoid! read more

I went in for breakfast with my daughter. They over changed us . Every item reflected on the receipt was higher than what their menu reflected and we had no substitutes or add on's. When, asked about it they stated that there was a tax on each item and a service charge for using debit . But , the bottom of the receipt already reflected a 8.3% tax and they have no signs hanging letting customers know there is fee for using a debit card . I got the French toast and the last time I went they told me this plate came with strawberries and bananas and this time I was charged $3.08 for a tiny bowl of bananas for bananas that were hardly edible, I'm just not sure why they would have told me last time they were included if they were charging me this time and didn't even let me know when I ordered. I'm not usually one to complain but it is frustrating expecting one thing at one visit compared to another. I didn't notice I was charged until after I left and looked at the receipt later on. Great food!!!!! I haven't eaten French toast in 20 years. Just never cared for bread and syrup. This place changes everything! I ordered the pistachio didn't use syrup and it was delicious! I thought I didn't like french toast but, I just want having the right kind I guess. The bacon was also perfect to my liking. I went around 9:15am on a Wednesday--only a few tables were occupied, and the staff was super friendly, gave great recommendations, and the food came out fast. Inside is dialed in with chandeliers, French-y posters and photos everywhere, and a pastry case with tarts, pastries, and cheesecake that basically dares you to behave. The croissant was the star... fresh, flaky, light, buttery... exactly what you want. The egg was cooked perfectly and the cheese was melted into it almost like a mini omelette (loved that). My only hiccup was the "bacon." It leaned more limp pork belly than crispy bacon and had a distinct smoke flavor that wasn't the traditional hardwood/hickory vibe I'm used to. Also... because the cheese and egg are fused together, it's basically impossible to pick the bacon out once it's in there. Next time I'd order it without bacon or ask for it on the side and make it crispy. It came with a side salad, which is not what I expected with breakfast, but it was actually great, fresh spring mix and a delicious dressing with a subtle sweet undertone. There were also hash browns with a crispy exterior and soft, warm interior, exactly the texture you hope for I just wish there were more of them! Because I have no self-control around French cafes, I also ordered the Belgian waffle with fruit and whipped cream. The waffle was warm and tasty, more tender/soft than crispy, and I ended up preferring it to the 'scrape the roof of your mouth' style that most restaurants serve up. The whipped cream tasted freshly whipped and the fruit selection was generous. My only critique: I'd skip the granulated sugar on top. The waffle is sweet enough already, and biting into sugar crystals isn't my favorite texture. For a drink I tried the blueberry lavender matcha. It had crushed blueberries in it, but the matcha flavor was pretty mild and the lavender got lost. I also would've liked a touch more sweetness from the syrup but overall it drank a bit "soft" and subtle. Bottom line... really cool little spot with friendly service, quick food, and a pastry case that will absolutely ruin any plan you had to "just eat light." I'll be back but next time I'm customizing that croissant sandwich and letting the pastries talk me into bad decisions.

Very convenient to scroll through the different categories and everything has pics to help you decide what to order. Once you have your selections in your cart, you just send your order to the kitchen. You can do this for multiple rounds, basically just small to medium sized orders until you feel like you're at a good stopping point. The first thing to select is the broths. You can choose 2 broths or 4 broths. For our group size, the server recommended 2 broths so everything can heat up and cook quickly. We got the tom yum soup and the three delicacies soup base (seafood, mushrooms, jujubes). We also got an assortment of meats, veggies, etc. The tom yum soup was by far our favorite. The other one was too bland. Honestly I didn't know what all meats we ordered, just that they were delicious. Some other highlights were: pork dumplings, potato noodles, etc. We also got the signature dancing noodle, which I thought was purely for show, but the noodle itself was really great - super chewy. Haidilao is great for groups, especially so you can try a little bit of everything. It's not exactly cheap, but it's for the experience and meats are naturally on the more expensive end. I stopped by French Toast Cafe and WOW this place gets it right! I ordered the French Toast Flight (because how could I not?) and every flavor was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. I also got the veggie omelette, which was fresh, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The waitstaff were so kind and attentive and the owner came by to check on us, which really made the experience feel personal and welcoming. You can tell they care about their guests and take pride in what they do. The ambience is bright, welcoming, and relaxed, the kind of place where you instantly feel at home the moment you sit down. This is definitely my new go-to breakfast/brunch spot. I'll be recommending it to all my family and friends and I'll 100% be back soon! read more

Came on a sunday morning 1st there is no where to wait except out in the heat. No water available while customers where waiting. 2nd the food was not veey good. The cheeseburger is very thin sort of like McDonalds. 3rd waitress never came back for refills. Only saw her when ordering then getting the check. 4th they add 4%to your total bill for paying with credit card. Its on very small print on the menu but servers should also mention it. Food just ok, nothing to brag about!! The service was slow. Took about 20 minutes to get our drink ordered and another 15 to 20 minutes to get a drink! Server was busy but damn get with it its a small restaurant with lots of servers, no smile no thank you no have a nice day just get in and get out attitude!! The pistachio French toast was good,service was prompt. It seemed like it is family owned and family members were working and running it.
