Frenchy's was a five minute walk from the reach hotel where we were staying. Came in for Sunday morning breakfast around 745 and was warmly greeted and found a table outside on the porch. Great service ordered French toast and croissant egg and ham sandwich spectacular meal very tasty. Read some reviews so thought we should give it a try. Write-ups said the almond croissants were really good. Got there about half hour after they opened and they didn't have any. This cafe is like stepping into a cafe in Paris. Real French pastries and delectable macaroons are in store for you here. The croissant was so light and buttery that my husband and I had to order a second one to share. The Quiche Lorraine was the perfect blend of ham, cheese and egg. The serving of Quiche was so large that it serves two easily. The orange juice is fresh squeezed and thirst quenching. I give 4 stars because there was some confusion about our coffee order and we were not served what we ordered, but the place was busy so we did not ask to have it corrected. The cafe is small, but there is seating in the back, which may not be immediately apparent to people who have not been there before. Tiny French breakfast and lunch place which was walking distance from our resort near the southernmost point of Key West. There are a couple of tables inside and two more ob the front porch, but there is a lovely patio hidden in the back. My husband had an omelet and I had the Croque Madame. They make their omelettes the correct way in a single pan, not poured on a grill. He said it was delicious. My Croque Madame was one of the best I have had. Delicious bread with carved ham, melted cheese and perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs on top. Fresh fruit on the side to complement. They have delicious fresh squeezed juice and large, wonderful cups of coffee. Pastries and croissants to round out the meal. Service is friendly and good. read more

This is a cute little spot with delicious food! I had the veggie omelette and it had a great balance of peppers, onions, and tomatoes in the ratatouille. My husband had a sausage omelette and a side of potatoes. The potatoes were a huge portion and were very French with rosemary and onion. The kids both had French toast and it was phenomenal! Loaded with fresh berries on top and a hint of a vanilla creamy flavor. Yum! We ate everything so quickly we didn't get a picture! One note I am a dog lover so this was endearing that it had its own doggie mascot. If you are afraid of dogs though you might want to get your food to go. read more

We were not greeted upon arrival. We were handed menus and told to sit wherever was open. Our options were a high top squeezed between another high top and a party of 10 with a dog under our table, a dirty table in the back that hadn't been bussed, or high tops in the front with sharp corners and seats big enough for a five year old. We sat at the street but noticed a group leaving and went to grab their table. We were told we could not sit at that table because it was below enough for four or five customers and we were a couple. So we tried to sit with the dog inside. Then we were told to move to the table out back. When we finally ordered I was told no to several substitutions. Record number of times I've been told no at all restaurant. We then got to listen as staff laughed and interacted with all the other tables around us and even walked a group out to the back with us after a table opened. Never felt so unwelcome and as a second class citizen in my life. Horrible experience, which is a shame since the food was pretty good. Do not recommend. read more

I had such a lovely little breakfast/lunch/whatever you'd like to call it at Frenchies after landing in Key West an hour before. I was absolutely starving (travel does that to ya!) and as soon I laid eyes on this place, I knew I had to stop in. It's adorable, even from the outside! When I got there, I was shocked to see how little of seating they had, but snagged a seat at the counter. Sit there if you can so you can see the chef working away in the kitchen! It was so neat to enjoy my meal while watching everything being made. The people here work very hard, that's for sure. They have a big selection of homemade pastries, and you can also get any kind of coffee drink you'd like. They'll also squeeze some fresh juice right in front of you! As far as the menu goes, you can choose from a variety of quiches, sandwiches, and salads. The hot goat cheese salad is wonderful, and the chef made me a sandwich that I'm not even sure is on the menu. It was made with homemade white bread, had tomato and veggies inside, and was topped with melted cheese and an egg. No words. It was accompanied by a fresh salad, and made me pretty happy. Only negative? Hooooly cow it was hot in there. I think they're trying to save money by not turning the air on, but it's Key West, people. It's just too hot for that sometimes. I'd still go back regardless, and hope to someday! read more

The salmon quiche I had was okay, but did not really stand out. The english breakfast special is just like it sounds two eggs, a croissant, salad and choice of a drink. The Croquette Monsieur. Overall the food taste homemade and fresh. I would say the weakness of this place were the drinks. The cafe au lait I had was very bland and no amount of excess sugar, cream or anything could save it so I did not even finish it. When comparing it to the other places I have been to I would say this place just does not stand out enough, compared to other cafes in the area. read more

This is one of the best breakfast places in town! It's a restaurant that you need to travel off Duval Street to find. When you walk into their quaint authentic French cafe, you'll likely be greeted by someone with a thick French accent behind the counter. Don't be deceived by the small front of the restaurant. They have plenty of seating in the back and seating on the deck in the front. There is also bike parking right next to the entrance. You can order at the counter and the waitress will bring you your order. It's a nonintrusive dining experience. The croque monsieur is our go-to. It's a must-eat every time we are on the island. We do substitute the turkey for the ham, and we love it so much so that I try to recreate the recipe at home. The quiche of the day is a must. It varies day to day but is always cooked perfectly. Can you really go to a truly French cafe and not order any type of pastry? The answer is NO! We ended our meal with chocolate croissants. They are fresh and delicious. read more

Was in town for Fantasy Fest and didn't want to go to our usual places since they are often full (especially on FF weekend!). Found this place on Yelp and there was no wait for a table. The reviewer who said this was the best quiche they ever had.....he was right. The omelette I ordered (ham, cheese, tomato, onion) was reminiscent of those I've had in Paris. The coffee and juice were great. Unfortunately (and surprisingly), the croissant was super mediocre. I didn't understand that part and was pretty bummed about it, since a good croissant is one of my fave things in life. The service was great and the place was quaint. However, the inside is pretty tight quarters, and the teeny table we sat at in the corner was a little uncomfortable and warm. Didn't check out the outside area. read more

Had to re-review this spot as we go here every time we're in Key West. We actually picked a hotel near frenchies this year just so I could easily walk and grab breakfast there. Best breakfast sandwiches ever! Yes, it's on the pricey side but we're only in KW once a year. Everything looks delicious but it's hard for me to go there and not have a breakfast sandwich.
