Bucatini and meatballs, and vodka rigatoni

Hidden gem! The food is always fantastic. All the pasta is homemade. Rotating menu with some staple items. I almost never order red sauce and meatballs because I grew up with a mom who could cook Italian and I'm now discerning, but I get it everytime here. Service is always great. Comfy dining room with plenty of seating.

Fixed menu night

This place was amazing. We almost didn't try it because of a couple of low reviews. I'm a food snob and loved it. The salad was fresh. The pizza crust was perfect. The espresso and the lemon drop martini were delicious. I wish this place had been open when we lived in Stone Mountain.

Such a lovely dinner - all the things were right. Friendly service, spacious and open with easy parking. I had the house salad and the trout - both of which were perfect. The owner came and chatted with me at the end of my meal and was lovely. She even recommended another local spot for lunch.

Linguini /clams , Lombardy pizza

The service was excellent, the food however was sub par. We shared the cacio de pepe zepolli appetizer and it had a gummy texture that was not the cheese I had expected. For entrees we had the Linguini alle Vongole( clams) I was expecting the wine sauce to be more wine than chicken soup. It was very heavy on the pepper and the pasta was more al dente than I like. My dining companion said it was like chicken noodle soup with 6 clams, not worth the $33 price. The Lombardy pizza was delicious and was worth ordering. For dessert the Swiss roll cake with raspberry was awesome as well. Overall this restaurant needs some improvement and I am disappointed that it is not worth a second chance for me. I work too hard to spend $90-$100 for two people to eat and walk ou

The inside is warm and welcoming, with an almost chill, mature vibe. First of all, ask for Ivan. If Ivan isn't available, I'm sure they'll take good care of you, as Ivan and his team took spectacular care of us. He really knew his way around the menu, and was able to explain various dishes, answering all our questions. But the food? You will go back for more. I got the pesto gnocchi. It was almost smooth. The gnocchi were delicate, which is a word I never thought would apply to gnocchi. My wife got the lobster ravioli and made the whole dish disappear. I may have to order that next time. One friend at the table ordered a pizza which frankly looked perfect. I plan to go again for my birthday. Holler if you're coming with.

I'm almost inclined to say they are pretty close to authentic Italian. Sure the menu also has the Americanized dishes like fettuccine Alfredo with cream sauce that will satisfy those who like that. The Wine, cocktail and beer selection are very good. Service was top notch and I very attentive :-) The decor is simple yet nice and both times I've been it's been busy so this place is popular. Definitely recommend and I definitely will be back.

It was all so good! I also brought home a banana pudding for my son as she said it was her favorite and both son and I love banana pudding. I had 1/2 of my husband's blackberry cobbler with ice cream which was a huge serving that definitely to be shared. My husband enjoyed his chicken pot pie, sweet potato soufflé and broccoli casserole. I like how the restaurant got a perfect score on their inspection report, something to be proud of! Food was out in a jiffy and it was not crowded on a Thursday at 5:30 pm so we got a parking spot out front, but front lot was full by the time we left. Our server filled my husband's drink at least twice and brought me a second lemonade and even offered me one to go. The restaurant has very subtle signage, so easy to overlook this gem if you do not know about it! Come hungry!

Everyone was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. The food was absolutely amazing, truly 5-stars quality across the board. The smoked filet was phenomenal, and the craft cocktails, white sangria, and wine selection were all excellent. Even though there wasn't a children's menu, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our kids were taken care of. The chef even prepared special dishes just for them, which we truly appreciated. I can't say enough about how thoughtful and accommodating the entire team was. Our waitress, Liz, was such a professional she helped us navigate the drink menu and made suggestions and brought surprises and samples based on our likes. We will be returning!

The owner has some other restaurants downtown Decature as well The "Cherokee Rose", very nice ambient atmosphere good looking restaurant. However it appears to be Family run with close friends and their kids. The Staff is not very attentive, one bartender so long waits or missed over waiting to place a drink and food order No one's really educated on the menu when asked a question about the food items. They just slide a menu in front of you as a gesture - you read it if you want to know. I can't see the small print on these menus to save my life lol I invited a industry colleague for a business dinner Ok, food review they offer an oxtail protein in the collard greens "Yummy" however I didn't find oxtail in the collard greens anywhere. My guest ordered some cwing dinner that looked like a contraption. As far as the presentation was delivered. I decided on a liquid diet after seeing the food delivery Next week I personally stopped in-for lunch wanted to give this place a chance to rebound and my full attention on a fair review. I wanted to also make sure management was there. An older caucasian woman greets me well we have a cordial conversation about my previous experience and my embarrassment at such a nice looking restaurant She was unable to believe this happened at her restaurant. Just plain disbelief and raved about the kitchen and pride that goes into her food to later having to eat those words Again, limited menu what is up with the 4-5 items to chose from. I donot eat steak fries So I just ordered the burger - medium well - not burned and it had no venison mixed or blended meat added The burger came out with old brown tarnished lettuce I sent it back for fresh lettuce . She brought it back they added thousand island dressing when I specially asked for mayo on the side which was also provided. What is going on in the kitchen I took a bittersweet bite anyways and spat it out. Took my utensils which looks like a switch blade in a fairly nice restaurant. bad esthetics decisions I knifed out The center of the uncooked raw meat of the burger and waited patiently for the nice lady to find her way back over to me I offered to just pay and leave. She ask what was the problem . I uncovered the burger and allowed her to witness fir herself Her face turned beet red and quickly said no charge and stormed off to her kitchen where I am sure like "The Oak" there was a Waffle House griller reject acting as a chef " Pictures attached : I can't make my Experiences UP! #SMH you just can't get what you pay for anywhere these days Me being a restaurant consultants. The only meal that you can get absolutely free is the spaghetti with meat sauce or marinara as it is $14.50. I think when the pandemic was over you were able to get anything but in today's economy I'm happy with the $14.50! My friend and I both love the salad (I get all the beets bc he doesn't like them ) plus he gets his rolls sans garlic whereas I love garlic! I got my usual Canneloni El Bianco which is SO GOOD that you know it has to be bad for you but what the heck it's once a year! He chose sausage and peppers and for once he couldn't clean his plate! The birthday person also gets a scoop of ice cream with a cookie and candle. Our waitress Allie was great with us but she forgot several items for the table next to us that was my birthday twin Mary who turned 83. Of course, Mary kept her on her toes . The ambiance here is lovely except the place could use a deep cleaning until they do it don't look at the lamps on the tables if dust offends you. The health score was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves once again!
