I returned in September of 2022 to find as good a food as I found in July and that consistency is what will keep me coming back. Huge portion of Spicy Ahi and some of the best sauce I have ever had. And with good restaurants on almost every block, standing out and shining above the rest takes something special. The Fried Ahi (Katsu style) had a nice Mayo sauce and a cup of crispy Furikake to add as you like. The fish was good, not fishy, and not overly breaded. No oily greasy flavor. Garlic Chicken is deep fried crispy crunchy chicken pieces tossed in a sweet garlic soy based sauce. Not too sweet or overbearing. A small side of salad with a delicious home made miso dressing was simple and refreshing with crispy fresh greens. 2 scoops of rice filled out the box. I have always wanted to try the poke from Fresh Catch and got a gift card for my birthday, so I decided to pop in for a quick lunch before work on a Sunday. I got the poke fried rice and, of course, I had to try a bit of their spicy ahi poke. I'll admit -- the fish is fresh. The raw ahi was a great texture and I barely got any ligamentous stuff in my teeth. The poke was spicier than other places but overall, not bad. It was a little heavy on the mayo, though. The poke fried rice was underwhelming. I had high expectations since the photos of it on Yelp looked so good. We're not even haole, we're natives from the mainland and to be treated that way is unacceptable and an indication of not being raised properly. Shame on these rude people and who raised them. Improve everything, was really junk. Paid $70 and food was mushy and the taste was to be forgotten. Rice had some parts hard and some parts mushy. Went Friday during the lunch rush and was in and out in no time at all. The Ahi Katsu was so delicious!! They put so much food on a plate it's well worth the price. We love everything that we order and the staff is so friendly at the register. We always have the salad/fish dressing stocked in our fridge. Ahi katsu always cooked perfectly, never over cooked or tough. I hope they can have on-line ordering one day which will be very helpful, they usually say 15-20min wait when I call. The veteran move here is to order ahead, take it to go, then eat it near by at one of the beautiful locations. It is harder to imagine better food for the money anywhere on the island. I've had poke from here before and never had this problem, wondering if anyone else had this happen. Called fresh catch this morning and asked the girl if I can make a phone order she say yes. I asked for a shoyu and a spicy one pound each she says can do. I asked how much is it she said it's going to be 18.00 a pound so at two pounds I'd pay $36 plus tax. As you can tell the receipt does not reflect that plus it shows I paid for something called kitchen sink and not shoyu. My daughter who picked it up brought the discrepancies to my attention and when I called to ask about it they seem to be gone for the day. On top of being charged more than expected it wasn't even ready at the time promised. Just feeling ripped off already going into the new year. Smh read more

I couldn't finish the whole thing cause there wasn't enough rice. I was a little disappointed with the taste for the Spicy Ahi. It was more mayonnaise than spicy/salty! *Steak Plate: Steak is always a good choice but not something I would order again since they specialize in Seafood. *Firecracker Ahi: I wish I got this as my choice of Poke for my bowl cause the ahi would've been so good with the rice and shoyu! Arrived at Fresh Catch near closing time. The cashier greeted me and was very polite and waited as I looked at their menu. She heard me talking about the poke and offered to let me try the hawaiian spicy ahi, and wasabi ahi. Both were good, but I decided to order the wasabi ahi for its unique flavor. The customer service is great. Wasabi ahi poke: The wasabi ahi poke was amazing. There is tons of flavor in it. The mixture of mayo and wasabi was good. The mayo was sweetened and flavored with wasabi, and had a little kick. It also had onions, and tobiko. Smoked Meat Plate: The smoke meat was full of flavor, and very soft and tender. I ate a piece with fat and it melted in my mouth. The sauce was a light, sweet, teriyaki sauce, and made the meat tasty. One of my favorite places to go when I'm in Kaneohe. Not only do they have an array of different kine of Poke but the have plate lunches and more. The Ahi Katsu is Awesome!!! I don't really eat cooked fish (I like it raw) but I definitely almost always grab a plate of Ahi Katsu. Their Smoked meat is great too, and there's different ways of getting their Smoked Meat...you can get a Smoked Meat Plate, Smoked Meat Sandwich, or Smoked Meat Fried Rice...all of them are Muy Delicioso!!! I tend to also grab the Pastele Stew or Pastele Fries...Man I'm getting hungry writing this...lol. Came from the Windward mall Farmer's market for a late lunch. I've literally only thought of this place as a poke stop, but I was pleasantly surprised at the fact that they serve a variety of plate lunches. I got the special of the day which was the stuffed ahi crab roll, and it was served with two scoops of white rice and side tossed greens. If it wasn't for the Mayo and furikake, I would've thought this plate was bland, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Husband got the steak plate, which he enjoyed because it was well seasoned and not too chewy. We both shared a tray of sashimi which was about $9 and a half pound of pickled onions, which cost about $4.25. We were satisfied with our meal, and didn't really have any complaints on our end. Total cost of our food together was $43, which wasn't too bad because we also had bottled drinks too, so that put the plate lunches in the $10-$15 range. Only thing that could be a bit of an improvement will be the staff. No problem with the service, it was just the lack of people working. I think I only counted 5 people working, and their were at least 10 tickets they were working on. I'm just hoping they can get more staff working, especially during the busy lunch hour. read more

If you're looking for a good ahi sandwich, you've come to the right place. The sandwich I ordered was extraordinary. From the Katsu fish that was perfectly fried with the furikake seasoning on top to the nice and crispy seasoned fries, the sandwich is an experience. The toasted buns perfect amount of seasoning and TWO ahi katsus inside is definitely filling enough. The atmosphere of the restaurant is definitely local style with a locally run vibe where they take care of you and work fast for your meal. Went on Saturday 6/19, my first time at the Kaneohe location since I was on that side. First off the poke was delicious and the selection was great. The rice was not cooked all the way through. It was rather hard and had a crunchy texture not sure if that is their style but it really took away from the great-tasting and soft ahi poke.
