Great food and excellent service. We were in town visiting from LA, and found this hidden gem on our last day in Fort Lauderdale. This restaurant has great food, and just happens to be gluten free and most dishes are vegetarian. Our server was very friendly and had a great smile the entire time while serving our party of four. I think enjoyment here is highly dependent on what you get. I ordered a quinoa burger and everything was burnt. The mushrooms, the bread... it was not enjoyable. I did like the coleslaw that came on the side. A colleague had the grilled chicken sandwich and also did not enjoy it. On the other hand, I heard good things about the chicken melt and Asian salad. I tried the sweet potato and bean burger when I first came here and it was delicious. Then recently I tried to grilled lentil and chickpea burger and it wasn't my favorite. I come here almost every weekend and try a new item on the menu on each visit. There's plenty of things to choose from, and I have yet to get something I don't like. The juices are on point, the breakfast items are great, and they do their best to cater to any dietary restrictions. The staff is friendly and check up on you pretty often, which makes you feel like more than just a tab. Patrick and Alicia are great! I highly recommend giving them a shot! Very good to place to eat. My wife and I went there because we needed brunch. It is a small, but very nice place to eat.

Their sweet potato burger tastes good with their waffle bun, delicious. The lentil grilled burger is okay too but not their raw lentil burger. I was trying to avoid any oil by ordering the raw Patty big mistake, the patty consistency and texture was gross like too raw. It didn't come with waffle bun which I guess cause raw everything only, but just a lettuce bun and tomato? no sauces avocado or anything like their grilled ones. My son loves their Turkey bacon and I like to order the side of veggie Patties, they are tasty but for some reason the last two times I ordered they were too charred/burned on the surface. Also, the last time I ordered it had no structure. An order comes with two and they were mushed into one shapeless patty. I'm not sure what's happening other than that they seem to be very busy so I don't know if they're just rushing it. read more

Tried Fresh First this week for the first time, and it was wonderful! I had the chicken salad sandwich, with a side of seer potato salad. Both items were fabulous!! The pricing was very average for what you're getting. My only (very minor) complaint was that the server was very pushy for us to get one of the pressed juices..... I believe he asked us 4 times, in which we declined each time. I love recommendations, but it started to feel a bit like overkill. We got two drinks (juices) to go. We would have preferred a straw but the business did not have it. No problem. We paid $19.00 for two drinks (16 oz each). Neither I nor my mom enjoyed them. Additionally, my mom was sitting down on a table inside as I was placing our order but the gentleman who took our order said that we should not be seating inside so that new customers who would order food could find a place to sit down. I thought that was pretty rude because we would have waited outside anyways. There was no need to tell us that. I ordered the western omelette w/ sweet potatoes. I love that they offer turkey bacon. I wish more restaurants offered turkey bacon for us non-pork eaters. My girlfriend has Celiac and needs to be Dairy free so at times picking a place can be tricky, because I have no allergies. I generally can eat most anything but usually the gluten free variety can leave me yearning for a bit more flavor/texture. I also tend to worry about the prices when eating specialty. This place is fabulous! The food is phenomenal; best gluten free restaurant we have eating at when traveling in the last 5-6 yrs. The restaurant is more of a cafe style (we usually will try more gluten free bakeries- because if we like it at least there's a chance to have it sent home/order). We wish this place had a bakery because what we ordered was spot on. I ordered the Keywest Tofu (you MUST try the gluten free waffles here!) and my girlfriend ordered the Hot melt. The waiter was super knowledgeable and recommended a dairy free cheese substitute (in the spot) to accommodate her food needs which was super helpful. If I had to say a negative I'd say that the dairy free cheese (a cashew based spread) didn't quite do as well as our favorite cheese (follow your heart-motzarella) but overall our experience here was amazing! Also the prices here weren't bad. The entire menu can accommodate vegan needs and the prices were $10-12. The plates were sufficiently sized too. Not oversized but not leaving you with hunger either. My hat is off to this place. I don't normally post allergy reviews/specialty restaurant reviews because I let my girlfriend do this. But this one was worth sharing because as a significant other of a allergen sufferer, it's worth the support. read more

Similar to other reviews, we were promptly acknowledged and directed upon entering, service was quick and efficient, the food was plated nicely, and we love the concept of the menu. As others have said, they are doing a lot of things right. However, the food wasn't flavorful or tasty in a memorable way...and there was a shortness in tone with a staffer who told us we couldn't sit at a 4-top after the greeter instructed us to choose any table. I think she noticed it too because she circled back to us to explain in a nicer tone and more detail than her original directive to not sit there. While the reasoning was understandable, the focus on customer service was clearly lacking. read more
