Good food! Service was a little slow but the food made up for it! The lobster roll and key lime pie were so good!

The lobster roll was AMAZING absolutely stuffed to the brim. The tacos were pretty good too! Staff was pretty friendly. Loved the outdoor seating too.

Not perfect. But not bad. Fish sandwich was good and crispy, the tuna sushi wrap was tasty. Appetizers were just ok. I'd skip the bacon wrapped scallops. Oysters were fresh however a few had pieces of shells in them. Never had that experience from a seafood restaurant. Staff were friendly but our waitress seemed disconnected and it was not busy at all. Restaurant was clean however it had a fishy smell, not the usually seafood restaurant smell either.

Waited 15 minutes for our waitress to take our order. It was dead. 4 tables including us. After 30 min for another water. I had to bring the bills to the bar while our waitress hung out at the bar

Shared fried clam strips for lunch today. Very good service, a nice and attentive waiter. The clams were really tasty as were the French Fries. Unfortunately both were just slightly warmer than luke warm, which took away a good amount of the enjoyment. I can't believe they weren't cooked properly, it seems like they took too long to get to us. The restaurant wasn't busy at all as we were eating an early lunch. A shame, but we did eat it all. The Cole Slaw was very bland with no flavor, we didn't eat more than a taste. I'm sure this place can do better, but they didn't do so well for our meal.

I'll sum up the review in a couple words, almost perfect. We were looking for a spot that was open a little later in downtown Hyannis, since we were first coming off a whale watching charter. My wife, knowing my MO, was on the lookout for a place with a good looking and highly rated lobster roll. Came upon Fresh Ketch and figured we'd give it a shot. Word to the wise, when trying to figure out where to park as you approach the restaurant, do yourself a favor and drive all the way to the venue regardless of how busy the street looks. They have their own adjacent parking lot. Alright, on to the food and service...and why it was almost perfect. The ambiance is nice, a middle- to upper-class local dining feel. The approach from the waitress was almost instantaneous. She took our drink orders and off she went. By the way, Bloody Mary was pretty decent, but if you're going to order their special one, emphasize that to the waitress and mention it by name. My ordering the Bloody Mary while pointing to the actual item on the special drinks list wasn't enough. I got the plain one. Back a short time later with our drinks, she took our appetizer and dinner orders. Unfortunately, it appeared the kitchen was a little backed up. I watched probably about three trays of food come out over about a 30 minute timeframe. Unfortunately, none of them were ours. It was a Monday, but this restaurant is seated in downtown Hyannis during peak Cape tourism season. When the food did get to us soon after that, the appetizers hit the table less than 5 minutes before the meals did. Fortunately, that's where the criticism stops...the food itself was pretty amazing. The lobster roll might have toppled my favorite place, only 15 minutes away, right off the top of the charts. This one was full of claw meat with no fillers and just the right amount of butter. I'd estimate about a half pound of lobster! The lobster bisque also was well prepared, not too sweet and extremely flavorful. My wife raves about the salmon and, since my son didn't finish his food, I tasted the chicken tenders. They were probably the most amazing chicken tenders I've ever had. Well-seasoned, crispy, and the chicken was moist and tender. As an added bonus, the place is kid friendly and even has a dog menu, if you're into bringing your furry to eateries. I have never seen that before, but as a dog owner it was certainly noteworthy. Definitely plan to hit this place for one of your meals. Although the food timing might have been a one-off, budget yourself some additional time while dining.

I ordered takeout from here so I can't comment on the service, however the food was very bland! We ordered a variety of foods and every single meal needed salt and pepper. Although I will say they were very generous with the amount of lobster they put in the lobster Mac and cheese and in the lobster roll. Other than that I really didn't enjoy anything else about my food.

    Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday!

Here we were back again at Fresh Ketch for lunch, this time celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary and my husband's 60th Birthday! Our waitress Maggie gave us excellent service and recommendations. I began with my favorite Lobster Bisque Soup, Beet and Goat Cheese Salad, Fried Seafood Platter of Calamari, Cod, Clam Strips, Shrimp and a glass of white wine. The Seafood Platter was fried to perfection, and did not disappoint. My husband demolished his Twin Lobsters, Corn on the Cob and Baked Potato and a beer. This time I remembered the enjoyable music, not too loud but just right. Needless to say we were so full and stuffed there was no room for dessert. Thank you Fresh Ketch for helping us celebrate another milestone wedding anniversary and birthday.

My first glass of vinho verde wine was served at room temperature (the second was fine), and the side plate I was given was crusted with dried food residue. I also watched an employee behind the bar wipe her nose with her hand and then continue slicing citrus barehanded. The chicken empanadas were good but not particularly special. We also had one of the small pizzas, which was the best thing of the night, crispy and flavorful (with a little char at the edges, which we like). The decor is a little bananas (different shades of green between the walls, the napkins, the barstools, and the banquettes; five kinds of lighting fixtures; lots of sound and lighting items with exposed, hasty-looking wiring). The bathroom door doesn't really close and lock properly. And the restaurant is really loud, even half full. The writing on the menu, about family members and special recipes, tells me that there's pride here and real care about making a good restaurant. However, without the attention to detail (particularly cleanliness and hygiene!), that's kind of moot. Three stars instead of two here because the pizza was good and the staff obviously care about customers.

My companion had to first motion to the server and eventually call out to get their attention--three times! We both started with a cup of New England Clam Chowder, although I ordered a bowl with my meal. There is definitely a noticeable difference in portion size between the cup and bowl. The chowder itself was excellent--thick, flavorful, and delicious. For our entrées, we selected Clam Strips and Calamari, both as side-dish portions. The food was very good, as were the drinks. Overall, we enjoyed the food, drinks, and beautiful harbor-side patio setting. I ordered a fried fish sandwich and this is what I got. Mind you, there was a person preparing this dish, a server who picked it up, placed it on her tray and put it down in front of me and no one noticed that the fish had been burned? Did I send it back? No. I simply didn't eat it. If they cared what I thought, it would't have been served. What a disgrace.

Tap City Grille was a surprise for me!…read more I tried it out around 7 years ago and wasn't the biggest fan. It was a good place to go out with friends and have some wings, but I wasn't impressed whatsoever. My family and I were on vacation looking for a place to go that's different from Seafood, so we went back to Tap City to give it another shot. It was incredible. It was possibly one of my favorite restaurants I've tried during my vacation. We got a lot of different dishes, so I was able to try a bunch of them. I myself ordered a "build your own" Pizza. I got Hot Italian Sausage and Pepperoni. It was a very good size for the amount of money you spend. It was delicious. The sauce was amazing, the cheese blend was good and the toppings were both fresh! The crust was a bit soggy however. It was fine, it just was a bit floppy. I tried the Brussel Sprout appetizer and it may have been the best thing on the menu. They were addictive. I could've just ordered those and have been satisfied. I tried the Chicken Tenders and they were alright, but you could tell they are frozen and not homemade. The Fries were good, but just normal fries you'd expect at a bar and grille. Although I personally didn't try it, one of the guests I was with was in love with the Hamburger. This place is a must stop on your vacation if you're looking for a break from Seafood. It has a nice atmosphere and has been packed every time I've walked by. So why am I only giving this a four? Our waitress was not good. She had zero emotion and looked like she wanted to be anywhere other than at her job. I waited 20 minutes to get a refill on my drink because she never checked on us until we finished our food. The service at Tap City Grille should be improved.

My devoted "mug club" friends that used to meet weekly at Cape Cod Beer introduced me to this fantastic new spot in their rotation. Wow, am I impressed! I met the brewmaster / owner, Brian, friendly and he sure knows his stuff. The quality he is producing in this tiny location is exceptional. I started with the Norm Ale, like normal ...get it? I love the play on names they come up with like Buttah Beer. The Norm Ale is pale but not lacking color, it's so caramel creamy, biscuit smooth. Just delicious, no bitter bite to this beauty. And I really appreciate the lack of fizziness too, that's so unlike American beer. I followed that with the Riley Red. Think Killarney Irish red ale and that's what this delivers. An excellent example of a red with colored hues, it's tasting brighter, light malty, and rich. And because it's October I rounded off by tasting the Oaktober Fest. (Oak Bay October fest) my buddy Wayne loves this one, especially in his fancy German stein they so nicely agreed to fill for him. This seasonal ale is tasty modestly spiced medium malt season, not too hoppy, it's beautiful. The Brit/ Irish style that Brian is producing, less carbonated & fizzy, which I really liked about the ales. You don't go home with a bloated stomach. Lucky for us it is Oktoberfest and they were cooking up beer-soaked bratwurst with sauerkraut and German pretzel hot baked out of the toaster oven $11. A perfect accompaniment to the ales. I genuinely feel these are the best beers being made on Cape Cod, and beyond. Get over to Oak Bay Brewery and try for yourself what I'm convinced of! Cheers Note: Parking is best in the back of the building and come on to main street from alley beside Tumi restaurant.
