Two thumbs up! So glad I stumbled across this place! Apparently they've only been open for 7 weeks, but I can only imagine their fan base to go up from here. I tried the "be fresh" smoothie, and it was delicious. Perfect texture and not too sour. They also give you the option to customize your smoothie, but I played it safe today. While my friend and I were waiting for our smoothies, the cashier surprised us with free Chamango samples! Although, I wouldn't consider them samples because she gave us a generous cup full. It was such a nice thing for her to do, and the Chamango was tasty! As for the space, it's huge! Plenty of seating, nice open concept with glass windows facing Pearl Street. This establishment definitely lives up to its name. They serve delicious smoothies made with plenty of fresh fruit. They also have "energy bowls" that are loaded with super foods such as acai, quinoa, and pittaya aka dragonfruit. We shared a turkey wrap, the shrimp ceviche, and two smoothies. The turkey wrap was simply presented and loaded and tasty. The shrimp ceviche was freshly made and delicious. The Befresh smoothie has papaya, mango, and pineapple and was very refreshing. The Blue Kale smoothie was also quite tasty, not too sweet and very good. The prices are also very affordable. Place is almost like a little hole in wall. It is little and a 15-20 min walk from the water but the food is light and fulfilling! You can get a smoothie, wraps, sandwiches, salads or ceviche. There was plenty of seating and the workers were friendly. I ordered a Pitaya Bowl and a Chicken Wrap. It took a while for these items to come out, and I understand that they had a lot of orders, but it was annoying that people who ordered after us received all of their food before us. That being said, the Pitaya Bowl was extremely watery and had chunks of ice. Definitely not the best bowl I've had. However, the Chicken Wrap was delicious and affordable so it made up for the bowl. Giving this place a 3 because although my chicken salad was good, there were only a few chicken pieces on the salad. Also ordered a chicken pesto sandwich. The sandwich as far as taste was ok but the bread was so so soggy. Never order a sandwich on regular bread, the pesto made it everything mushy. The pitaya bowl was soggy too and runny. I work in Pacific Beach but I have gotten sick of all the lunch options in the area. I have started to venture far and wide in search of the perfect lunch meal. My most recent addiction is Be Fresh in La Jolla. They have the best chicken wrap in the whole city in my opinion. You can tell the chicken is grilled fresh and the vegetables are always nice and cool, the perfect compliment to the warm chicken. They spinach tortilla is always perfectly crispy and they have this amazing green sauce that goes with it perfectly. I guess I need to clarify, the sauce isn't actually on the wrap, you have to ask for it on the side. The best part is the price, only $7 or so. You can throw in a bag of chips and get a pretty solid lunch meal for under $10 which is hard to find these days. read more

We came in looking for a quick and inexpensive bite for lunch. It's nice that they have a spinach tortilla option for the wrap but otherwise the wrap was quite tasteless. There were far too many black beans in the wrap (they actually exploded out onto the plate when I tried separating the two halves!) The beans were also not flavored and not strained enough, resulting in a soggy leaky mess of a wrap (bean water all over the hands and plate!) We also got a veggie sandwich (without beans thank god) which was tasty and came with a nice summer salad of mixed greens with raspberry vinaigrette and fruits on top. Their fruit here is fantastic and sweet (mango and pineapple were perfectly ripe!) The last thing we tried was the veggie sincronizada which is especially a jack quesadilla with fresh veggies in it. I didn't try this but the rest of my party said it was tasty. Consensus was that the wrap was a dud but other items were good. We also got a nice Mexican fruit cup to share as wed explored the cove! They have chili, lime, and chamoy and all the traditional fruits included. This is always a favorite for us and their fruit was sweet and ripe so the fruit cup definitely got a thumbs up! read more

This place has a large menu, with quite the variety of options to satisfy all sorts of taste buds. Its a short walk from the beach. There wasn't anyone there when I went. The service is a little slow, but it was worth it. I got the escamocha and it was delicious. They used a wide variety of fresh fruits and they all tasted great. The sweet cream wasn't overly sweet and I loved the added pecans. It's a pretty good size, definitely enough to share or save half for later. The prices are pretty reasonable too. Came in for my first time today. Got a Torta De Lomo for me and a peanut butter- banana smoothie for my ailing father. The Torta was fantastic and authentic. Very much a real street Torta with braised beef, sliced avocado and jalapeños. The bolillo was soft as a cloud and just toasted right. The smoothie was real good too, and dad who can barely eat,,was all over it. I had some too and it was great, not over sweetened like so many. Salmon seemed very fresh, salad was clean and simple and comes with avocado, I would def order again. The turkey Torta was very yummy as well, we substituted the chipotle sauce for the mayo and I think that made the sandwhich. I recommend that anyone who likes chipotle to add the sauce.
