Instead, the tailor cut off my original sleeves, replaced them, and added floral appliqués that I never requested or approved. This permanently changed the look of my wedding dress and left me devastated. A wedding dress is one of the most important garments a person will ever wear, and I trusted this shop to make a modification--not redesign part of the dress without my permission. The lack of communication and disregard for my instructions were completely unacceptable. If the original request couldn't be done as asked, I should have been contacted before any irreversible changes were made. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop for wedding dress alterations. I hope they improve their communication with future brides so no one else has to go through the stress and heartbreak of having their dress altered in a way they never approved.

The stitching was uneven, the inside was bunched up, and it looked sloppy. When I pointed this out, the owner admitted she isn't a seamstress and dismissed my concerns. She only offered to give my mom a different dress with no alterations, and no refund. She even suggested the poor sewing "could be cut and steamed out," but anyone could see the workmanship was unacceptable. This has been a very disappointing experience, especially with something as important as a wedding. I would never recommend Princess Bridal, and it's clear why they already have so many negative reviews.

What I found at King Fashion was great inventory, along with service and value well beyond my hopes. I had researched and been to a number of stores and found none to come close in service and value. I was helped primarily by Monsef, his daughter, and also Denise. All three demonstrated amazing kindness and friendliness throughout the process. Monsef offered very sound advice about how to approach what I needed, without boxing me in to having to buy everything (or even anything) I needed from this store. He went the extra mile to make sure I got exactly what I wanted with minimal delay when it turned out it wasn't in store. Alterations were done well and quickly. I love the tuxedo I wound up with, and I dare say it was one of the best ones at the event; it has some very unique details and high quality. The price was easily worth the extra stretch over renting, and was an incredible value. And of note, it wasn't just me getting great treatment. Every time someone stepped in the store, I saw that they were greeted with warmth and care. And every time I stepped into the store, they were busy, handling 2-3 customers each, keeping up conversations and consultations with each, and speed-walking around. It's the kind of mental and physical energy that really wears you down in customer service, yet they never missed a beat. they remained warm and kind and caring with everyone. Maintaining that kindness with that consistency speaks volumes, and then they offered a high-quality, high-value product to go with it. Care like that is rare these days. Then proceeds to tell you " I will give you shirt, vest and tie free because I love your story." When it's more like it's free because he's ripping you off. The material is worth 100-250$ max. Tetris is a polyester mix with a synthetic blend. Aka plastic material. 89% plastic material and I am charged nearly 500$ for this. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

To preface this, I never write reviews but I feel like I just had to because of all the things that happened. I got fitted for a suit as a groomsman in a wedding. When I was fitted, the jacket fit great but when the wedding came two months later, the sleeves were way too short, to the point where my entire cuff was hanging out of the jacket. The shoes fit fine but they just seemed so cheap that it was digging into the front of my ankle (all the groomsman complained about this) and it caused bruising and blisters. I have to mention that, although this didn't happen to me, the groomsman talked about how they got fitted at one location and they got sent to another location because of a "mix up." (Happened to multiple people.) a mixup that caused them to drive out of their way to another store. But the things that really drove it home for me was the fact that I had to return the suit less than 24 hours after the wedding. The wedding was on Saturday night and they wanted it Sunday before 5pm. Luckily I lived near the wedding and the store so I was able to meet that insane deadline, but others who lived much further from their stores or traveled would not be as lucky as I was. You're better off hitting a different store; this place is too much of a headache; it's not worth it. read more

***Best Suit & Tux rental in So-Cal*** I needed a Tux for a Black Tie event within a week. I knew exactly where to go. The process takes about 15 minutes when you come in and 15 minutes when you pick up to try on everything and make sure you look great before the big day. I am a big guy and needed a size 16 shoe. Not many shoe outlets have my size and Friar Tux Shop goes up to size 17! When in doubt they can have things made to order if needed for your big day. I saw a guy twice my size come in for his high school prom and he was 6'10 and got fitted no problem. The deals are unbelievable and always changing with the seasons. I can get other brands of stuff that like Kohl's JCPenney's. They offer incentives to go in. The only incentives I've seen from DXL are coupons that you cannot use. It would be like a restaurant that says come eat here. We finally passed our health inspection. You don't wanna go there. And that is the whole situation, that if there's no real incentive to go back there, then I don't go back there. And anybody else that can learn from this good for them. Ghost man, your hard earned somewhere else that it's obvious that they don't appreciate you so go to your Walmart or go to Kohl's cause at all these places you're just a number and not a person.
