    Kids menu-no age limit

What happened to Frida Mexican on Bev Dr? Been coming here for over 10 years and tonight had the worst experience by server Rafael. I've been ordering from the kids menu here for over 6 years--and tonight Rafael refused to allow me to and insisted it's for kids only. There is no age limit on their kids menu (photo is below) and again-NEVER had this issue before. When I explained why I order from the kids menu-asked for an allowance to order-he still refused in a rude manner. Also-the chips were stale and bland and ordered the chicken taquitos-first brought me potatoe taquito and then had to wait for the chicken ones while my party ate their meals. Such a sad thing when a well loved restaurant becomes this.

Had a delicious lunch here over the weekend. The restaurant was beautiful, service was wonderful, and the food was delicious. They did an amazing job with all our allergies and requests. Vegans will have no problem here. Definitely recommend!

Had a wonderful time at Fridas taking my mom for a bday treat after she flew in from the east coast. I've been visiting this location on S. Beverly Dr. for years, and the bartenders are phenomenal - Miss the bartender ALEX!! Come back!...but all the bartenders they really care about their craft. The guac and chips with salsa are simply amazing! Food is top notch. If you haven't tried it yet, the best drink in California is the Frida and Diego with Mezcal. I always order a double, and it never disappoints! Manager Ricardo is gracious and truly cares about this restaurant. However, I've noticed some changes: it seems they're under new ownership, and the beautiful blue paint has been replaced. The new interior feels a bit too bland and lacks the energy that Fridas is known for. I hope the new owners will restore the vibrant essence and atmosphere with more lively colors. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants in LA, and we certainly don't need another Kardashian-style neutral space. They made the atmosphere of that restaurant-SOULLESS! Like a cafeteria!!' Let's keep the fun and excitement alive at Frida's, a true icon in Beverly Hills! Repaint that place! Bring back the beautiful blues and fun! Turn up the music and make it fun again! Not like a grandma in a nursing home!

The experience was wonderful. From the moment I entered, the manager greeted me kindly. They quickly seated us at a table and offered us chips and salsa. Our waiter, Alberto, was very kind and attentive. Definitely an experience I would repeat every time I can.

I'm going to go backwards on this review, and start with the dessert. That 'pastel de tres leches' was fanTASTIC. I can't believe that after all these years, I had dessert for the first time last Sunday. If you've wanted something to look forward to in a meal, make it this delish cake of pure dessert-porn. It's the only sin I'm openly willing to commit on a Sunday. My family's go-to's on the Frida menu are the beef quesadillas, shrimp tacos, chicken enchiladas trios (I love that you get 3 different sauces), and the pescado a la talla (probably my favorite Mexican fish dish ever). The quesadillas can come out very greasy/oily, so do yourself a favor and ask for reduced oil when ordering this. We're pretty square as a family, so once we like something, we'll stick with what we know since we only make it here once a month. We always leave satisfied, and I love that the parking garage nearby automatically gives 2 free hours of free parking- thanks Beverly Hills!

Amazing service! The vibes were great, music was awesome, drinks were delicious as always. Thank you to Pablo and the bartender! :)

The Mexican food here is absolutely delicious. They've got two locations. This one is smaller and quieter than their other place up the street. It was a super quiet night with plenty of available tables. Service was friendly despite being a bit slow and laid back. My only issue was the skinny spicy margarita I ordered was $17?! Almost as much an an entree so I need to come during happy hour to order a drink next time. Delicious and authentic Mexican food alert. I was a good girl this time but you've got to try their tres leche cake for dessert. It's the best I've ever tasted!

Despite its beautiful storefront in Beverly Hills, and a seemingly "premium" experience, this place really did not impress me. We were seated quickly, and service was nice enough did not seem to care all that much about our experience. We ordered enchiladas, which was a large dish but also largely disappointed my cravings. None of the sauces were to my taste except the chile verde, and the tortilla was both thick and dry. The chicken was great and abundant! I would say if you're looking for rich in flavor and not basic sauces, not to order this and try something else! We did however have very delicious tortilla chips with salsa and an amazing pina colada.

The food is delicious, they have an extensive menu, excellent food presentation, pleasant atmosphere and the service was perfect

The restaurant really does feel tucked away once you get inside the Rodeo Collection. The space has warm lighting, colorful details, and a playful Mexican-inspired look that makes dinner feel fun without becoming over-the-top. We started with guacamole and empanadas before moving on to tacos. The Baja Style Fish Tacos were a favorite, with crisp fish, fresh slaw, and chipotle aioli. I also had the Grilled Prime New York Taco, and the steak was cooked really well and stayed tender. With the caramelized onion, guacamole, and salsa fresca, it had plenty of flavor without feeling overloaded. Between those two, we were already very happy with our taco choices, and there wasn't much left on the table by the end. The cocktails were excellent. My friend's drink came served in this ceramic donkey, and we immediately became a little obsessed with it. We loved it enough that the donkey somehow ended up making an appearance in half our photos by the end of the night. Our server checked in throughout dinner and gave us plenty of time to enjoy everything without ever making us feel rushed. We finished with churros, which arrived with dipping sauces and were a very easy decision once dessert was mentioned. They also offer valet, which is especially convenient for a Rodeo Drive dinner. I went in because Instagram kept putting The Hideaway in front of me. For once, my feed was useful. I'd happily come back for the tacos, cocktails, and another round with that donkey making its inevitable cameo.

There were four of us, and the restaurant wasn't very busy, there were plenty of open tables and what seemed like a good amount of staff. When we were first seated, we were given the regular menu. Once we mentioned that we were there for the Girls Brunch, it honestly felt like the demeanor toward our table changed. The service was extremely slow. We waited around 30 minutes between some of the food items, our drinks were forgotten, and we were rarely checked on throughout the meal. I'm usually pretty understanding when restaurants are busy or short-staffed, but that didn't seem to be the case during our visit. Between the long waits, forgotten drinks, and lack of even a simple "How is everything?", the experience became frustrating, especially since we were there to celebrate birthdays. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were mediocre as well, so the overall experience just didn't feel worth the time. I really wanted to enjoy this place and the Girls Brunch seemed like such a fun idea, but based on our experience, I unfortunately won't be returning.

My annoyance stemmed from the fact that we had a reservation at 9pm for 9 people. Totally understandable that it's a large table. For sure. But at 10:15 when people are actively still eating and they're literally kicking us out sucked. We didn't overly linger, but they didn't take our food order for a while and some of the foods took a while to cook so half the table waited for the others. If they had mentioned at the beginning of the reservation that we had to be out by 10:15 would've been helpful to at least plan out our dinner and order earlier.

This one is actually in WeHo east of La Cienega in kind of an upmarket strip mall. It was just strolling distance from our hotel, so it was the ideal spot for a casual dinner before venturing onto Santa Monica Blvd for the PRIDE festivities. We actually had the foresight to make a reservation and were initially seated inside next to the bar where a couple of loud sluggos were holding court. To his immense credit, the host noticed the noise and asked if we would prefer a quieter seat in the patio. This was LA, so hell yeah. We were grateful. The menu has many delectable specialties, though we were feeling conscientious and focused on their salads. Jamie ordered the $24 Mexican Chopped Salad, a robust mix of grilled chicken, chopped romaine and arugula, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, radishes, avocado, and queso fresco, drizzled with lemon vinaigrette (Photo 9). It was a Cal-Mex delight. I went with the $25 Oaxaca Cactus Salad with grilled shrimp, fresh cactus, diced tomatoes, red onions, jalapenos, cilantro, and queso fresco. It was liberally mixed with tomatillo dressing (Photo 8). The cactus provided a nice, crunchy texture. We also shared the $10 Grilled Seasonal Veggies, a tasty mix of carrots, zucchini, and summer squash (Photo 7). But don't be too impressed by our healthy choices because we went for the $12 Mexican Bunuelos (Photo 10). Crispy, thin fritters topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.
