I had lunch at Guisados yesterday. They have multiple locations since it's a chain, and my brother highly recommended it, saying it was absolutely delicious. After trying it myself, I can say that every single taco was incredibly good. You order at the counter in the front, and then the staff brings the food to your table. I wanted to try the shrimp taco, but the menu said it was spicy, so I asked if they could make it non-spicy when I placed my order. They were happy to accommodate my request. Unfortunately, the carne asada taco was not available yesterday, so I didn't get a chance to try it. However, the fish taco and shrimp tacos were delicious, and all the other tacos we ordered were excellent as well. From now on, whenever our family is craving tacos, this will probably be our go-to place. My brother paid for lunch yesterday, and thanks to him, I got to enjoy a fantastic meal. I was about to pay with my own card, but he quickly pulled out his phone and paid before I had the chance!

Tucked away in a parking lot in the heart of Beverly Hills, Guisados a welcone break from the upscale fine dining scene that permeated the area. You are welcomed be a friendly gentleman who is good at explaining the many options. The outdoor coveted patio is basic but clean, quiet, and comfortable. The tacos are tasty with an excellent selection of beef, chicken, pork, and vegetarian options and at undrrI liked the hand drawn allergy board that listed every ingredient, perhaps to adhere to BH rules. All in all, a breath of fresh air.

No gatekeeping here - let's TACO bout this hidden gem taco spot! @guisados is a family-owned taqueria and local Los Angeles favorite, serving up LA's first and BEST tacos de guisados crafted from their handmade tortillas and homestyle braises made fresh daily. The workers were so kind, friendly and helpful, and you can definitely tell their care for their business through their lovingly prepared food! What I tried: Taco Sampler: 6 of the cutest mini tacos with some of their most popular flavors - perfect if you're indecisive like me. Their tortillas were so soft and flavorful, and definitely among some of the best that I've had! Tamale: tasted so authentic and fresh! It had a good amount of filling and tasted like it was homemade. Would definitely order again! Ceviche: features a generous serving of fresh raw fish and a fried tortilla, which you can break off and eat like a chip. I personally thought it was a bit on the acidic side, and would definitely skip/add less tapatio and lime Also highly recommend the melon agua Fresca, which tastes like actual cantaloupe! This covered outdoor patio is located in a paid parking lot, but there's plenty of street parking and a public parking garage with first two hours free nearby!

    Breakfast taco. Missing the meat.

I don't eat here unless I'm desperately hungry in the morning. The tacos are just okay to me. The last 2 times I've tried the breakfast tacos, I say to myself... wow I could make this myself then pay $4.50 for one breakfast taco. Today i ordered 4 tocino (bacon) and 2 weenie breakfast tacos. I don't know why it took forever to make. Can't be hard to just make bacon and heat up some hot dogs right? I open up 2 of them and they don't have any meat in them. The other ones just have literally one slice of bacon and 4 hot dogs. Jeez the disappointment. It was just a big slab of egg with some potatoes and cheese. I'll never come back for the breakfast again.

Service is amazing really helpful with picking on the menu. The chicken mole was definitely my favorite. I got the sampler highly recommend!!!

The service is crazy good. Guy at the window knew what he was talking about. The ambiance? Amazing. Spanish music. Outdoor seating. Chill as hell. The food?! THE FOOOOD. I was recommended four tacos: shrimp, fried fish, cochinita pibil, and tikka. All four are insanely good. The spice doesn't play - amazing. Oh and the Armando Palmer was just absolutely delicious. Get it all.

Amazing experience every single time Literally everything is amazing and I recommend this place to everyone The elote tamales are to die for lol

This is the second time I have come. The first time I came, I ordered the sampler which was ok. This time around I ordered the full size tacos and they were much better. Ordered the chorizo (had a small hint of spice), steak picado, and bistec en salsa roja (my favorite of the 3.) Service window is quick, with plenty of outdoor seating, and convenient parking $3 - $6 depending on how long you are there. Hidden space in Beverly Hills, but overall a good stop if you are in the area and wanting tacos.

Absolutely loved this place! It's cute, casual, and the food is fantastic. It's tucked behind the pharmacy, right by the parking lot. My husband and I stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too busy. The service was quick, and our food came out fast. We ordered the taco sampler, which included small versions of several kinds: chicken, bistec, steak picado, tinga de pollo, chicharrón, and cochinita pibil. We also got full-sized orders of the steak tacos and the chicken mole poblano tacos -- both were excellent! I especially recommend the mole poblano and steak tacos. My husband really enjoyed the cochinita pibil, though it does have a bit of a kick. The handmade, freshly pressed tortillas were a highlight -- they really took the tacos to the next level. Their sweet corn tamale is my favorite, also very good! 10/10 would recommend! Authentic Mexican tacos with a unique touch -- totally worth it and definitely a must-try.

The restaurant really does feel tucked away once you get inside the Rodeo Collection. The space has warm lighting, colorful details, and a playful Mexican-inspired look that makes dinner feel fun without becoming over-the-top. We started with guacamole and empanadas before moving on to tacos. The Baja Style Fish Tacos were a favorite, with crisp fish, fresh slaw, and chipotle aioli. I also had the Grilled Prime New York Taco, and the steak was cooked really well and stayed tender. With the caramelized onion, guacamole, and salsa fresca, it had plenty of flavor without feeling overloaded. Between those two, we were already very happy with our taco choices, and there wasn't much left on the table by the end. The cocktails were excellent. My friend's drink came served in this ceramic donkey, and we immediately became a little obsessed with it. We loved it enough that the donkey somehow ended up making an appearance in half our photos by the end of the night. Our server checked in throughout dinner and gave us plenty of time to enjoy everything without ever making us feel rushed. We finished with churros, which arrived with dipping sauces and were a very easy decision once dessert was mentioned. They also offer valet, which is especially convenient for a Rodeo Drive dinner. I went in because Instagram kept putting The Hideaway in front of me. For once, my feed was useful. I'd happily come back for the tacos, cocktails, and another round with that donkey making its inevitable cameo.

There were four of us, and the restaurant wasn't very busy, there were plenty of open tables and what seemed like a good amount of staff. When we were first seated, we were given the regular menu. Once we mentioned that we were there for the Girls Brunch, it honestly felt like the demeanor toward our table changed. The service was extremely slow. We waited around 30 minutes between some of the food items, our drinks were forgotten, and we were rarely checked on throughout the meal. I'm usually pretty understanding when restaurants are busy or short-staffed, but that didn't seem to be the case during our visit. Between the long waits, forgotten drinks, and lack of even a simple "How is everything?", the experience became frustrating, especially since we were there to celebrate birthdays. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were mediocre as well, so the overall experience just didn't feel worth the time. I really wanted to enjoy this place and the Girls Brunch seemed like such a fun idea, but based on our experience, I unfortunately won't be returning.

My annoyance stemmed from the fact that we had a reservation at 9pm for 9 people. Totally understandable that it's a large table. For sure. But at 10:15 when people are actively still eating and they're literally kicking us out sucked. We didn't overly linger, but they didn't take our food order for a while and some of the foods took a while to cook so half the table waited for the others. This one is actually in WeHo east of La Cienega in kind of an upmarket strip mall. It was just strolling distance from our hotel, so it was the ideal spot for a casual dinner before venturing onto Santa Monica Blvd for the PRIDE festivities. We actually had the foresight to make a reservation and were initially seated inside next to the bar where a couple of loud sluggos were holding court. To his immense credit, the host noticed the noise and asked if we would prefer a quieter seat in the patio. This was LA, so hell yeah. We were grateful. The menu has many delectable specialties, though we were feeling conscientious and focused on their salads. Jamie ordered the $24 Mexican Chopped Salad, a robust mix of grilled chicken, chopped romaine and arugula, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, radishes, avocado, and queso fresco, drizzled with lemon vinaigrette (Photo 9). It was a Cal-Mex delight. I went with the $25 Oaxaca Cactus Salad with grilled shrimp, fresh cactus, diced tomatoes, red onions, jalapenos, cilantro, and queso fresco. It was liberally mixed with tomatillo dressing (Photo 8). The cactus provided a nice, crunchy texture. We also shared the $10 Grilled Seasonal Veggies, a tasty mix of carrots, zucchini, and summer squash (Photo 7). But don't be too impressed by our healthy choices because we went for the $12 Mexican Bunuelos (Photo 10). Crispy, thin fritters topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.
