5 stars for the ice cream. It beats all the other options around, way better than brusters and arguably better value than Rita's. Mint chip all the way. It's fire. And the strawberry cheesecake? PHENOMENAL. Would die for those creamy cheesecake bits in rich ice cream. The food was average. It may just be because of what I ordered, which was a bacon Mac and cheese burger, but it wasn't anything to write home about. It wasn't the worst burger I've ever had but it was far from the best. My wife and I love this place. Very friendly staff who are attentive and professional. Nobody here has a bad attitude like they don't want to be here. Food always come out in a timely manner and hot. Prices are very affordable! Of course the Ice Cream is literally the icing on the cake (all pun intended). The hiring manager has great taste. I've been eating @ Friendly's Ice Cream & Restaurant basically my whole life. I actually use to work @ the one on York Rd when I was in high school. Now it's been torn down, and I think it's only two left in Bal-da-moor (Baltimore) and two in Glen Burnie I think. That makes me sad that I'm sure the remaining ones will be closed too. But it we went on a Sunday and the restaurant had only four ppl including (ourselves) but the customer service was top notch. Our food came out rather fast since we was the 1st two, our food was amazing and was so good. But if you love. Ice Cream Sundae's, give'em a try while their still around! read more

It's been a good 6/7-years since we stopped in at a Friendly's. We had the ice cream urge so off we went. Created and seated promptly. The young man took our order quickly and asked all the right questions which indicated he knew their menu very well. Ice cream arrived just as we ordered it; and yes, several people in our party are very picky in what they want and don't want in their ice cream. Everything was great. Overall a good visit. This Friendly's has kept their standards up over all the many years they've been in the Glen Burnie area. read more

This place is so nostalgic for me. Reminds me of days off of school and popping on over for an ice cream treat with my family. Unfortunately, our closest one closed years ago, so we have to go a little further nowadays to find one. Thankfully, there are two around Glen Burnie to choose from. I never remembered them much for their food as a kid, but I seem to recall they always had breakfast. Not sure if that's still the case, since we're only ever there for dinner anymore. But, the star of the show is still dessert! I had their Cool Ranch Doritos chopped cheese sandwich last visit, and honestly? It was really good! Spicier than I expected, but I was able to handle it pretty well. ;) If you have little to no spice tolerance, though, this one might not be for you. Just ask for no jalapeños and you might be okay. Barely touched the fries to save room for dessert! That entrée also comes with a Happy Ending included, which is a single scoop with a single topping. These days, that's just fine by me! Long gone are the days when I could tackle and entire three-scoop Reese's Pieces sundae! (Not that I won't still try now and then...) Our server was great; she checked on us frequently to make sure things were going well, if we needed refills, etc. The interior... and exterior... they could really use some TLC. There were decorations up that were either very old or at least "interestingly" placed. Not very seasonal either. Plus, there's tape on the wall/window jamb that looks to have been there since the first Bush administration. LOL j/k Seriously, though, it just looks dated. But, renos are expensive, so if this keeps costs down, then it's really not a big deal. I know the chain as a whole is just hanging on, so whatever we can do to save this place, let's do it! This review is going to be brief and light on substance and I'll explain why. I haven't been to a Friendly's since the late 80s; the location at Dobbin Center in Columbia, Maryland. I moved to Los Angeles in 1991, lived there for 24 years and at some point, most of the Friendly's locations closed up. I was never clear on whether Friendly's actually still existed and I discovered they do. My funny little hunny had been craving a banana split, so we visited this location and ordered off the dessert menu. I just had a good ol' fashioned hot fudge sundae. We both were very satisfied with our desserts and we will be coming back again to try their delicious looking breakfasts or lunches. While I'm glad they're still around, one thing that no longer seems to be on their menu are the spectacular ice cream pies. If they bring those back, I will become a lifelong Friendly's Fan Club member. Hell - I'll be the President and will done here every week! read more

Since being a kid, Friendly's has been a staple in the diet. Love their peanut butter fudge that goes atop your fav ice cream. I get the peanut butter sundae that is to die for. I assume that you, like me, have a deep nostalgia for Friendly's and are seeing if it's still a good idea as an adult. It is! We had a great time here. The fries are exactly as you remember them. I got the Cobb salad (bold choice I know) and it was really good! And a good value too. Grilled chicken, egg, craisins, blue cheese, bacon, like so good. I'm excited to get our ice cream too. We tried this place in a Sunday midday since we haven't been here for years. We were sort of surprised the menu was really nice with a great lunch time selection. We were here with our daughter and two granddaughters and the food was really good. Well prepared, very tasty with good portions and at very reasonable prices. The service was really good also. The meals came fairly quickly and our server was on top of things. The ice cream desserts were very nice and a bargain compared to going to most of these local ice cream shops that charge $5. 00 a scoop! The restaurant needs a little of an interior upgrade ( showing its age) but an overall great experience for what looks to be a very underrated restaurant in Glen Burnie. read more

We had a fantastic dining experience here. It was the Crain Hwy S location. The food was cooked perfectly. That skirt of melted cheese thing was crazy good. The burger had nice onions and mayo and crispy bacon and the bun was toasted just right. Fries were crisp. The iced tea was fresh brewed with the perfect amount of sugar. Haven't been here in over a decade so we decided to stop for ice cream. Loved it!!! They gave us stuff to color with while we waited and it was a relaxing environment for all of us. The ice cream was good, they have a bunch of creative things to pick from but you can also make your own. A little dated but I think that's what makes this place special. Placed an order through Uber Eats and when received order it was incorrect. Correct order listed on receipt and bag stapled. Called Friendly's and was told had to contact Uber Eats for the mistake. The mistake was Friendly's (Crain Highway) and tried to tell them bag was stapled, receipt was correct and whoever bagged it on their end put the wrong items in the bag. The Uber Eats driver didn't bag the order, Friendly's did. So much for customer service from management at Friendly's. They have loss my business for sure now. Dumb A-- workers. read more

Food was good, our waitress, Trinity, was not. She went outside to smoke for 20 minutes after delivering our food, and knocking French fries from our plates onto the floor. She was wearing an air pod ear bud and clearly listening to it more than us. She only checked on us one time and never came back. I have never had such a bad experience at a Friendly's! read more
