This is the worst massage I've ever had. I've never once walked out in the middle of a massage before but here I did. I originally requested 90 mins deep tissue. The lady agrees then, when I'm face down on the bed she asks me it vitiligo was infectious? I tell her no, but I would have understood if she wasn't comfortable continuing. But she agrees to continue, and legit for 20-30 mins just very lightly moves her hand around my back on top of the blanket. I'm already getting annoyed then but I figured I can hold off to see if it'll get better. It doesn't. She then puts on gloves (which whatever, I get it.) But when she does she starts putting oil on, and its literally so uncomfortable, as its like zero pressure, and for some unknown reason, feels the need to put oil near my stomach and underarm area? Okay, at that point I'm getting mad but I asked her to please do it harder. She agrees and again literally just touches my sides, lower back with oil doing nothing. At that point, I just stopped her at 1 hour mark. She gets the hot towel and wipes my back down and she tries to continue, I tell her to stop again, this time I'm propped up already on my elbows and told her to stop. She stops but then asks if Im really angry at her. Well yeah. Then she offers to remove her gloves and continue the next 30 minutes. Seriously? I didnt care about the gloves its the not doing what was asked for. I told her that im just done i dont like anything about this. When I get up and leave I paid her $70. $60 for the worst hour of massage ive ever had the displeasure of paying for and $10 to at least acknowledge that she did... something? I didnt want me not tipping is just me being cheap, its me being pissed the fuck off that im still in pain and I wasted money and time being there. If you want to go there to be discriminated upon and have strange session of someone lightly placing oil on your body you should go there. read more

This is a not a massage place, they offer other services which I wasn't interested at all. I usually get a massage every other week was my first time at this place The lady that worked there, she does not know how to massage at all. After a few minutes. She asked me if he was interested in happy ending, which I said I'm not and I said massage here and she start telling me about her life and how difficult it is the owner the place does not pay the employees, unless they make a good tip, they can keep the tip so I felt bad. I still paid her and give her a tip and walked out and felt really bad for the lady that was working there anyways. read more

Apparently, the eyelash gal- Mei, is just renting out space in their shop. I'm only lowering my rating because the business has been messaging me to remove my yelp review. The messages were unprofessional and gave off a suspicious vibe. I don't understand why having a good eyelash specialist would give you any negative business for a spa... My review is long overdue - I'm going to this place now for about 2 years and I would say it has been a great experience the service is really exceptional. I work in IT Industry so I have knots & Soreness specially around neck and hand. The facility is always clean and attention is paid to decor and ambiance. My masseuse is professional and very adept. Horrible place. When I enter no one was there and then out of the blue a female walks out and she asks me to pay first. She had literally come out of a nap. While giving me the massage she kept yawning a zillion times and I felt like asking if she wanted me to give her a massage. She did a so so massage and it was not even a full hour. I used to go to massage places in Fremont, but it's getting quite far after we moved to Pleasanton. Then my friend recommended me to this place. He's been a regular customer here for a while. My experience here is overall quite pleasant. The masseuse I had is a long hair Chinese lady. I had to say when it comes to massage, I am quite picky. Because the joint muscle problem on my left shoulder, I usually request a masseuse to be extra tender around there and harder at the rest of my back. For some masseuses, I always had to keep reminding them to be easy. But this lady listened to me well. Before she started her routine, she did a few presses and asked me if that's how I wanted. It took two times before I found the right length I liked (my doing and not May's). I have appointments booked for the next four months. May confirms my appointment via text. I'm very happy with how the extensions look and her technique. Pricing is excellent. There typically is no one at the Front Desk to greet you, so don't be alarmed when you first walk in. After reading the great reviews here on yelp I called and made an appt .First of all they want you to pay first and if you are using a credit card, they want the tip first too?! Unbelievable! I said I would reserve said tip until after my service.......got funny look from lady. I needed to use the facilities before we got started, one restroom. A lady comes out, I go in and do my business. No soap to wash my hands....ugh! I'm directed to a room and in walks the same lady from the bathroom with no soap. I said "Oh you're doing my massage? There's no soap in the bathroom to wash our hands" "Oh you so peeky (picky) she says, uh no I'm not picky I just want the person's hands that will be touching my body to have been washed after using the bathroom. My husband and I have been going here for the last couple of months. Its nice how they remember you and what you like. Their Thai message is better than any sports massage, and they seem to have a knack for knowing what's sore and how to work it out. Not what it used to be, this place is awful now. I am not overweight and upon first walking in the lady gasps and asks me how pregnant I am... ummm.... not at all. She says okay and charges me up front without asking what kind of massage I want. Once in the room I was given the worst massage I have ever had, its been a week and I am still in pain. She actually injured me. Not to mention I said my back and neck were sore, so she spent 45 minutes on my butt and thighs??? The worst thing about this is that she ACTUALLY PULLED OUT MY PIERCING!!! I was bleeding everywhere and she said nothing! I felt the pain but assumed for sure she'd say something if I was bleeding everywhere. Just got my eyelashes done, they turned out really good. However, I feel their communication is bad. Originally made and appt for 12:30, later that day around 11am received a phone call asking if I could come in at 2. Later at 12:10 received a phone call asking if I'm lost, because I am late. I told her I received a phone call that told me to come in at 2. Anyways I ended up getting there as fast as I could, and she helped me. The lashes turned out great! Would highly recommend it. But if you have sensitive eyes the glue does tend to burn! read more

I have been going to Friends Day Spa for approximately five (5) years. With that said I had the pleasure of meeting and receiving a massage from the entire staff. I must say that ALL of the therapist are professional, friendly and very good at their craft. They know what they are doing and when the massage is completed, you feel like a new and relaxed person. There have been times when I've had very sore muscles due to exercise or work. They intuitively recognize your body's soreness and always seem to know how to work out those knots. If you want a thorough massage that makes you feel like you got your money's worth, this place is the 'real deal'. Do not go here... For eyelash extensions at least. I wanted to try it out and she had told me previous to making my appointment that she had someone coming in right after me. So she is rushing to do my eyelashes and the glue she uses is harsh. My eye instantly started watering and she was getting mad at me. Like making comments like oh my god and then I blinked. Then she tries to tell me that people sit through this process for 2 hours without blinking..... I'm gonna guess that ones not true when your touching someone's eye it is going to twitch or blink. I tried my hardest but my eye kept watering from the glue. She was rude and said she couldn't continue cause I couldn't make my eye stop watering.... Sorry ? Horrible customer service and her name is not even on the building. After calling several other places everyone says that the glue should not burn and that they have a glue for sensitive eyes... It was a great massage - I love deep tissue massages with hard pressure so this was great. My only complaint is she must've thought I was sleeping (I did catch myself snoring lol) and she spent A LOT of time on one leg... after what seemed to have been about 10 minutes I asked her to spend more time on my back. I also noticed for long periods of time I only felt one hand so my guess is she was probably on her phone or something. read more

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I came here a couple years ago (maybe they changed their people or "policies" now--wouldn't risk it though) and made a promise to myself to never come back. Now that I have stumbled across it on Yelp, I feel inclined write. My experience was horrible. I was treating myself and my friend to a day of relaxation and it didn't turn out to be like that. First of all we waited for someone to come to the front desk for 10 minutes, then when we were attended we were told that we HAD to pay CASH 20% TIP BEFORE we would get our massage... that left me speechless but I paid and went into the room. I was told to lay faced down but my sheet had not been cleaned. The facial sheet that should be discarded or cleaned after every person... yep it smelled like sweat and body odor. WHERE WAS THE HYGIENE? This was my first time ever getting a massage and now I can proudly say I have never been treated like this elsewhere. Every place I go, they have CLEAN sheets and don't DEMAND 20% CASH tip BEFORE your service. I had the worst experience of my life!! I went here for eyelash extensions. I was a little put off when I walked in side, very run down and they made me wait in a small room. when the lady started my lashes I began to feel the glue hit the inside of my eye. it burned but I figured it would go away. the next morning my eyes were red and a bit puffy, really hurt. I called the lady and she said that's normal but it's never happened to me before with previous lash extensions. as the day went on my eyes became worse and worse. I had to use baby oil to get the lashes off because the lady would not return my calls. I woke up the next morning and couldn't open my eyes. I had to go to the ER and was put on antibiotics. The lady finally called me back and I told her what was happening so she said she would reimburse me. when I showed up they grabbed my arm and forced me into their employee room. they were all yelling at me, speaking in another language. the wouldn't let me touch anything and acted as if it were my fault!!! they shoved the money in my purse and pushed me out the door. I have NEVER been treated so horribly as a costumer. Please do not go here and make sure you see the photos of my eyes. read more
