My daughter and I split a lobster roll with a side salad and we each had a cider. Service was good, and we did not wait long for our food. It was nice of the server to provide an extra plate. The lobster was fresh and tender and the sandwich was loaded with lobster, however, It was a bit pricey, $80 for one lobster roll and 2 ciders. read more

My sisters and I were on vacation a couple of weeks ago and LOVED this place. It had a great parking lot across the street. It was a bit confusing making the reservations, since there are several different restaurants on the property. We had to walk all the way down to Frisbee's to confirm that we were in the right place. Nice outdoor venue, but tables were too close together. I wore my mask until the food came. There was some loudmouths behind us that almost ruined it for us. The beautiful sunset, atmosphere, and great food were enough to balance that though. The mosquitoes were bad and we got eaten alive. I ordered chicken strips, which were great. Nice and thick and hot with the perfect batter. The Fries were amazing, I finished them all. I had to ask for more Ranch dressing for the strips but also dipped my fries in it. It helped that they take reservations, too. My mom is the hardest to please since she's on a tight diet and wanted salad with lobster salad on top. In retrospect that's what I should have ordered, or a classic Lobster Roll. I changed my mind last minute and tried the Seafood Chowder and platter that included Fish and Chips, Fried Scallops, and Clam Strips. The scallops were good but the rest was far from the best seafood I've had. The chowder was too fishy rather than creamy. I'd consider coming back for the ambiance and a lobster roll but a few other places wowed me a little more with their food. read more

We were there on a Labor Day (Sunday) afternoon so it was about an hour wait. We did have a Corona on the dock while we waited for our table. This was the first place We ate in Maine. Naturally I had to have a lobster roll. It was pricey at $42. However it was the best lobster roll I ever had. I think it had the meat of nearly two perfectly cooked lobsters and had just enough dressing to bind it together on the perfect grilled buttered roll. I was actually shocked to find the lobster fresher and more flavorful in Texas. We drove from Boston up the scenic byway to a place that I have only dreamed of visiting as a child. The beauty of the drive and intoxication of finally being in Maine after 40 years of longing had my senses on edge. I understand that everyone has local flavors but, I was disappointed. The outdoor location, overlooking the bay was on point. The locals were alluring. I took notice when the $40 cup of lobster came from a food truck. The waiter was more than likely on his first ever position anywhere and I admired that innocent quality. I didn't admire the bottleneck steamed clams coming in at an exponential rate and the locals laughing as the obvious "out-of-towners" began to dig in and relish even the black husk from the base of the clam that was meant to be discarded before eaten. Unfortunately, the most flavorful aspect of the entire meal was the fried seafood basket...clams, fish and scallops! It was sublime. I would have driven from San Antonio to Maine to taste its freshness. All in all the things that I find most charming about local haunts is just that....the locals....the smells....the energy....the people from Rhode Island that asked if we had ever eaten steamed clams before!!! Thank you, compassionate strangers! This is the reason that I gave this local jewel four stars.... We didn't have reservations so the choices were two tables behind the covered area, high top at the bar, the bar, or hang out on the pier that had a shelf to put your food on. We opted for the sit down behind the covered area. If your not under the tent you go to the bar to order food and drinks. Service was quite fast, good people and good food. Not cheap by any stretch but you're paying for the view. They also have a bistro that looks mostly indoors but we saw a balcony with people eating on it when we left, that was on the third floor. We originally found this place when I was looking for places with outdoor seating to eat seafood during a trip to Maine during the pandemic. Being from NH, we have a few favorites along the coast of MA, NH, and ME and it is difficult to break out habits! But this place was attentive to our requests to make dining feel safe and the food was among the best seafood that I have ever had. Their fried seafood dishes have an excellent texture to them. They have a good crust and flake and are not greasy at all. Everything tastes fresh. Their lobster roll has ruined other lobster rolls for us. Just delicious. And of course, the view of the cove, lighthouses, and boats is beautiful. We went back this summer and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. It is hard to break us from our traditions, but I am glad we did. Frisbee's is now our new tradition! read more

We were just driving along admiring the views after a few hours at York Harbor Beach and I happened to see this little bar. So I turned the car around, drove down by Pepperall Wharf and "Ta Da" Frisbee's. My daughter and I were celebrating my birthday. What a fantastic place. On the water under the tent or indoor dining. We got there just before a major thunder and lightning rain storm and we decided we better just get take out. For safety they rushed us inside. We were standing in an empty room overlooking the boats and water when the owner set us up with a table, chairs and a complimentary bottle of white wine! Loved Frisbee's Wharf in Kittery. It is a hidden gem. Maine is my favorite NE state to visit in the summer and we usually go to Rt. 1 to eat, but this year I discovered Pepperrell Cove! We each started with a cocktail, I had Captain's Pepperrell Punch and my husband had The Sea Artist. Both cocktails were great. For lunch I had the seafood chowder, steamers and the Lazy Man Lobster Cup. It was all good, but the lobster meat served in a soup of melted butter was mouth watering! Wow, so good. This listing on Yelp says "reservations are suggested", however, when I got there I couldn't get a table because I didn't have a reservation. There were empty tables but they were holding them for later reservations. The hostess did kindly tell us that we could go order and sit at the bar and eat there or order take out and eat standing up on the pier. We decided to stand up and eat and we had a wonderful view of the water! Seriously best clam strips ever! They were big and meaty and full of flavor. Highly recommend! We drove up from Massachusetts to check this place out. WORST Fishermans Platter we have ever had! We placed our order with the waitress for our food, waited a bit for our food to be delivered, and when it arrived, we were shocked! I noticed there were no clams on the platter and mentioned it to the waitress, she informed us that they ran out of clams in the morning but said she would check to see if they have come in. She returned with a small bowl with 4 clams the size of a dime and said, "Here you go!" Shouldn't that have been something that she should have mentioned to us when we initially placed our order? The portion of the platter for $48.00 was a disgrace! We eat out at many restaurants, and this is by far the most overpriced seafood platter we have ever purchased. Also, our waitress never came back to ask how our meal was or if we needed anything else. You would think that the manager would inform the wait staff to let the customers know if there were no claims available. I guess we were misled by the TV show Chronicle. Solid food served in a great location We had dinner here last night and we were very pleased. This place is located below the Bistro adjoining the pier and water. They use oyster and clam shells for the floor, a reminder of our days on the North Fork of Southold, New York. Nice ambiance, competent and efficient wait staff, fantastic cocktails, and a good chef. We had haddock dinners, salmon salad, and fried clam roll. Two of us had the seafood chowder, which was the hit of the evening (could have been cooked a little warmer). The clam market in Maine is undergoing a shortage, so I was happy that they were on the menu. The haddock dinner was two large pieces were cooked perfectly and served over a bed of french fries. My wife did not like the homemade tarter sauce, but nobody else had a concern. This was a place we would recommend just for the ambiance, but the cocktails and food were fine.
