I developed a bad habit of going to the this fabric store for hours, then heading to Meritage for a meal and drinks. Truly, the cherry on top. Meritage was addictive. It was hard to break away from a place where the bartenders quickly learn your name (because they know everyone else's) and the food is stellar. Trust me when I say get the French Onion soup. If they've got the same chef (young black female with her brother turning out dishes in the back), you're in for a treat. They have daily specials and over-the-top desserts, so treat yourself. When we arrived on September 26 at 7:00 PM, the restaurant was closed. No notice, no call, no text -- even though you clearly had my contact information. This was especially disappointing because it was for my birthday celebration, and we were forced to scramble last-minute to find an alternative. It's extremely frustrating to confirm a reservation and then arrive to a locked door without any communication. I hope you'll take this feedback seriously, as this could have been avoided with a simple message letting me know you would not be open.
