I'll admit that I haven't been to a Carrabba's location in a pretty long time. But since my fiancee and I acquired a gift card recently, we decided to go to one nearby. Overall, I have to say the experience was very good. Our server, Debbie, was very friendly and welcoming. We went on a Saturday for lunch and it wasn't very busy at all. Their menu features lots of great options for pasta, chicken, steak, seafood, and more. Their wine menu was rather nice too. Here's what we had: Drinks: Mark West Pinot Noir Ruffino Chianti Lunch: Salmon capperi Tuscan grilled sirloin (7oz) $10.00 to go chicken piccata The $10 second dish to-go is a great option at a hard to beat price. My only quarrel with our meal was that my steak was more medium well than medium as I'd requested but it was still good. I could see is going back here again sometime. read more

It's been more than 10 years since I've dined at Carraba's Italian Grill. The location was in Augusta, Georgia. My mom had a giftcard and thought we would use it. I didn't know that this location was here until my fiancée mentioned it. So glad he did. We dined in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. They only have lunch specials Monday- Friday and also happy hour. Our server was Debera. She was so sweet and attentive. I love the menu options here better than Olive Garden. If you are not feeling pasta, they have seafood, steak and chicken options. They have wide range of appetizers, salads, soups, combos, entrees and more. Plus their drink menu is pretty good! From specialty cocktails, wine and beer. Tried out Carrabba's for the first time. Owned by Bloomin' Brands, it is a chain so their recipes are the same from place to place. I enjoyed the happy hour small appetizer Mezzaluna Fritte. It was decent but I would not recommend the Tomato Cream sauce that is served with unless you really love watery sauce. I asked for marinara and my server, Jeff, was happy to oblige. Anxious to visit again to try steak, chops and seafood since they also own Outback and Bonefish. Service was top notch but the food, so far, is chain restaurant quality. My wife and I used to love to eat here; however, we will never return again. Her entree was served Luke warm to cold. My entree was over cooked, extremely soggy. The photograph from the menu did not look like what I received. The steak portion was so small that we laughed and ask the waitress for the menu to compare image to reality. We never send anything back because you never know what kinda mood the cook was in?! I could see our from my vantage point, that he was a real cool guy! After this experience, we'll never eat her again. The service was great, our hostesses was amazing. We tipped her large for her service; however, this corporation is greedy and on auto-cruise with its quality. Carrabba's just doesn't care anymore. Came in at 7pm, and despite being very busy, we got seated immediately and our food came out insanely quick! Kitchen staff was doing a great job and on top of it, the food was amazing. We were at this restaurant for its grand opening years ago, and were regular customers for year. Due to health reasons our quite often "dining in" and occasional "carry out" was and has been reduced. This evening we decided to order delivery of our meal orders. I ordered Caesar salads for us both, an order of spaghetti with meatballs and meat sauce for myself, and the Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken and Peas for my wife. I also ordered bread. We were quite surprised by the speed of the deliver. However, we were surprised by the meager amount of meat sauce on my order of spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs, and the meatballs themselves were not up to the quality we had been served over the years. As well the "dried" edges of the fettuccine noodles, and lack of taste in the fettuccine sauce itself we're also not up to years past meals. Both Caesar salads had almost no shredded cheese, and very few croutons. The few slices of bread provided unfortunately were the best part of both meals. The most impressive part of this on-line order/purchase was the speed of the delivery. I did call to speak with the manager. It was difficult to hear her clearly due to the background noise; I believe she said her name was ?Mindy?; but her attitude was very nonchalant, and led me to believe there was a "no care" attitude that meals were not of the quality they should be for the cost. It is unfortunate that we can not recommend that you consider dining at the Anderson Towne Center Carrabba's location. read more

I had a discussion with Ian Wilcoxson (manager) in the Fall of 2017, just after he became proprietor. I wrote to Bloomin Brands (Corporate owners) and later spoke to his district manager about the changes in portion sizes and quality at his restaurant. Ian told me to my face that he wanted to increase his profits so was intentionally cutting portion sizes including the Caesar salads that barely filled half the container. I have spent lots of money in this establishment before and after Ian arrived. 1 month ago we ordered 3 dinners and was shorted 1 salad. I called and they asked me to come back. I told them it was too far so was told I could get a free appetizer next time that I ordered. I called tonight and ordered 2 meals and the free appetizer. They called back and said I couldn't have the appetizer claiming there was no record of it. I had the original receipt and date. Terry R one of the managers was belligerent and called me a liar (stating it was not in their book and no manager remembers talking to me) and finally stated that Ian and the district manager directed her to not give to me. It was really Ian. I told her that was fine, I will take the meal without the appetizer. After hanging up and talking with my wife, I decided to call back to cancel the order. I asked for Terry and Ian got on the phone to say that he and his district manager (wrong) said I am not welcome there. He added that he will hate me for as long as he lives and again reiterated that I am not welcome there. I am done patronizing there. He feels that nothing will make me happy. A normal manager should welcome comments when his staff messes up. Just because I had a few legitimate complaints over dozens of meals over 10 years doesn't make me evil. He feels that I got too many gift cards or free appetizers. I never asked for them. As a long-term Yelp elite I pride myself on being an honest reviewer. It's a shame that he feels that way toward a Customer who has spent thousands of dollars there. I will not go back. My wife was served under-cooked chicken the last time we ordered out from his restaurant. The time before my son had mushy ravioli. I did not complain because I know they don't care and would accuse me of making things up. Being shorted is a different story and I didn't expect such a reaction tonight from Ian and his staff tonight. I am sorry that Ian Wilcoxson has such animosity towards me. read more

This is such a great location. It is located next to a lot of shopping. The staff is super nice. Our waitress Beth, was amazing. She gave me the scoop on what food and drinks are good. I had the Side of Fettuccine add Shrimp(11.09) , the Pomegranate Martini($5 for happy hour), and Scicillian Pear Rita($5 for happy hour). I've been wondering why the once huge flock of cars parked around this place has grown smaller and thinner over the past few years, and now I think I know why....standards for both food and beverages have been lowered while prices have skyrocketed I was here recently as the guest of honor for a celebratory event. I rarely drink but this was an occasion where I was being driven and drinking was in the works, so over the course of dinner I had two long Island iced teas ($11 each) and might just as well had 2 light beers....little to no effect. They were out of the dinner special that night at 6pm. Yep, 6pm. In a mostly empty dining room. Pasta typically is a good choice here but they've tossed out the real parm shredded tableside for the fake stuff straight out of the green can. Why bother having wait staff divvy this out sparingly like the real stuff was before? Just leave a shaker or two at the table and be done with it. Pretty much everyone at the table indicated that their dinners arrived barely warm or flat out room temperature Temp and green-can parm aside, the food was ok. Meh. Nothing worth returning for. Finally, after wasting a LOT of time, I called in my order. When I got to the curbside pickup, I was the only customer there on a Saturday night at 8pm. Carrabba's was good, average. Great service, good food, unlucky GI bug the next day could've been the food or something else but I'm a little scared to go back. First off, loved the house dressing. The side salad presentation was laughable, but the dressing was really tasty! Lasagna was HUGE. Even the waitress said, "wow, big pieces!" I took home over half of mine but was scared to eat the leftovers (refer to GI bug comment). It was an average lasagna. I was glad that it wasn't full of ricotta, which happens a lot at different restaurants. The big star here was the service, our waitress had wonderful banter with us and made sure our needs were met! This was an exceptional dining experience for us. It was easy to phone in our order, and was ready when promised. The curbside delivery was flawless as done by their courteous staff. The lentil soup was so so good that it didn't even make it out of the parking lot! The delivery guy noticed my Army hat, and came back out with a container with a piece of chocolate cake, and thanked me for my service. I was deeply touched. We really enjoyed our meal when we got home, which was still warm--and very delicious! We will be back for more! read more
