    Alfredo with shrimp
    Renee T.

We come here every time we are in Hermosa Beach. Small Italian restaurant in the heart of a hermosa. The food is authentic, great service and everyone leaves full and happy. I always love the Alfredo with shrimp and mushrooms. Highly recommend this restaurant, it has something form everyone.

Came here with a party of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids) at the last minute, and they were able to accommodate us. The food here is not only good, you also get quite a bit more than I thought! I ordered the vegetable lasagna and while it was buried under a lot of sauce, it was sooo delicious and I commend them for packing it with tons of veggies like broccoli and carrots. This was incredibly tasty. My bf ordered the wild basil ravioli and it was wonderful in both presentation and taste. Metered street parking is available and we are able to find parking about a block away on a Saturday night.

Last night staying in the area and wanted a quiet Italian spot! Bingo. We found this spot thanks to the reviews and close to our hotel. It was a Tuesday night and we were happy to be seated right away. They give you crusty Italian bread and butter. We ordered the house wine and it's a generous pour. We each had a pasta dish. Everything was tasty. I had the rigatoni and pink sauce with shrimp. I could have been more creative but I wasn't. My guy had the pasta New Orleans. The portions are very generous. Since it was our first time there we got a free dessert. We picked the lemon bar and whipped cream. Service was excellent.

Food speaks for itself. Manny and Gabi have the gift of exceptional service and the vibe is small, fun and lends itself to a great night. Wonderful night with old friends!!

Ordered the heart (cheese) ravioli. Served hot and very light tasting but yet filling at the same time. Fresh bread on the side. My feiends were all very complimentary of their meals

We discovered that many restaurants in the area open only at 5 PM on weekdays, this place is open for lunch. I am genuinely delighted that we ended up here. The pastas served were exceptional -- truly freshly made, with sauces that were flavorful and well-crafted. Our server, Manuel, enhanced our dining experience significantly. His thorough knowledge of the menu, coupled with his attentive and friendly demeanor, made us feel warmly welcomed. Manuel also informed us about your other location in Santa Monica, which we are eager to try on a future visit. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, with the restaurant not overly busy during the weekday lunch hour, and the tables were impeccably clean. Additionally, I must commend the quality of your bread, which was fresh and delicious. Especially with that oil with vinegar and that garlic soooo good Overall, our visit exceeded expectations, and I look forward to returning whenever we find ourselves in the area.

Lemon pepper linguine with Alfredo sauce and chicken.

Came back here with a friend to celebrate my birthday. What an adorable gem just off the Hermosa Beach pier! The dining room is small and cozy, perfect for a not too large party. We were greeted warmly on entry and attentively served. The pasta is all made in house, as well as the sauces and bread. I built my own pasta and it was DELICIOUS. Will definitely be back!

The last time I ate here was over 10 years ago, but the menu, service, food quality and charm are still the same. I ordered my usual create your own pasta with chipotle cream sauce, spicy Italian sausage, beef tips, caramelized onion, and mushrooms. Usually I get spinach linguine, but this time I got the grilled veggies base. SO delicious. I ordered the small Gorgonzola & greens salad. YUM. At the end, ordered the lemon bar. It was savory and thick, full of flavor. The service made me feel at home. The server said he looked forward to me returning sooner than 10 years next time. The restaurant was cozy and the noise level wasn't too loud even tho most tables were filled. I love how it's right down the street from the ocean pier.

Not only was the food amazing, the service was as well! Our server made us feel extremely welcomed here and we appreciate it. Unfortunately we forgot her name as this was 2 weeks ago, but next time we stop by I'm updating this to include her name. I started off with the calamari and it was super tasty. For the main dish I got the Cajun Chicken and it was amazing too!

This place reminded me of the simple, humble meals I loved in Italy--not the touristy spots where servers try to pull you inside, but the old neighborhood trattorias where locals stop by nonstop, stacking four or five pizza boxes to take home for their families. We weren't even that hungry because we had a late lunch, but something about the atmosphere made us want to try their pasta anyway. The warm bread came out first--simple, comforting, and perfect for kids. (They ended up eating more than we expected!) The pasta tasted like it was made with fresh noodles, and my Puttanesca was packed with ingredients yet still beautifully balanced, just like the no-frills trattorias we wandered into in Italy. The kids' menu was also great--our kids ate everything happily. The only thing I'd change is the water; it didn't taste filtered, so next time I'd probably order wine or bottled water. Still, the staff was so kind, warm, and genuinely attentive that it's an easy 5 stars. We'll definitely be back.

Black and Black & White Spaghettini with shrimp
    Kristina K.

Absolutely incredible food. I picked up a to go order and had the fried gnocchi and an order of the black-and-white spaghettini with shrimp. Both items were so fresh and tasty even though I didn't get to actually eat it for another 25 minutes after I picked it up. For sure the best Italian food I've ever had. Gigantic portion and the shrimp was so fresh and cooked perfectly.

It's an unassuming spot in a corner of a strip center that you could easily miss. It's the cutest space with indoor and patio seating as well as a few bar spots, good for solo dining. We started with the meatballs and Caesar salad. The meatballs had a crisp sear outside that gave way to a soft inside. So good with the tomato sauce and arugula. The Caesar had a touch of spiciness and was dressed with toasted bread crumbs, a nice touch. I had the bolognese. It was tender and meaty and the pasta had the right amount of bite. This was even great leftover the next day. The Meyer lemon pie was the perfect closer. DineLA was the right call to bring me in to to try this gem of a spot.

When my wife and I go, she always gets the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka (the sauce has the perfect kick and rich texture). As for me, my ultimate strategy is skipping a standard entree and doubling up on appetizers: the Meatballs and the White Truffle Garlic Bread. The bread alone is phenomenal, and the meatballs are tender and packed with flavor. The only major downside to treating apps as my main meal? I begrudgingly have to share with the table! ;) Because the menu is so good across the board, coming here with a larger group is really the best move. It gives everyone an excuse to order family-style and try even more items--our group go-tos include the Calamari Fritti, Crispy Eggplant Parmesan, and one of their hand-crafted pizzas. Plus, since it's cheat day, pairing the meal with one of their crisp, local IPAs from the draft list is an absolute must. Once the waistband is thoroughly loosened, we finish off the night with dessert. We usually just let the table go with whatever seasonal special they're running, and it never disappoints. Great atmosphere at The Point, friendly service, and unbeatable comfort food. Highly recommend!

Cheese or a place where the waiter judges your shoes. We had a great waiter- dry, professional, and actually helpful when I was dithering between a few dishes. My kind of service. The food was outstanding, starting with the thick, focaccia-style bread, which could probably ruin your appetite if you weren't careful. Fortunately, I was careful. The eggplant parm was exactly what eggplant parm should be: crisp, flavorful, and decidedly not soggy. Because nobody has ever said, "You know what this eggplant needs? More moisture." I had a pesto corkscrew pasta dish whose actual name I neglected to write down because apparently I've reached the limits of my restaurant-reviewing professionalism. Excellent nonetheless. All accompanied by an Aperol Spritz, because hydration is important. It's also only a couple of blocks off Catalina Ave., close enough to the action without being swallowed by it. Bettolino has become my go-to Italian in the South Bay. I've never been disappointed here, and I have considerable experience being disappointed. Cheers!
