Ordered the heart (cheese) ravioli. Served hot and very light tasting but yet filling at the same time. Fresh bread on the side. My feiends were all very complimentary of their meals

Last night staying in the area and wanted a quiet Italian spot! Bingo. We found this spot thanks to the reviews and close to our hotel. It was a Tuesday night and we were happy to be seated right away. They give you crusty Italian bread and butter. We ordered the house wine and it's a generous pour. We each had a pasta dish. Everything was tasty. I had the rigatoni and pink sauce with shrimp. I could have been more creative but I wasn't. My guy had the pasta New Orleans. The portions are very generous. Since it was our first time there we got a free dessert. We picked the lemon bar and whipped cream. Service was excellent.

Food speaks for itself. Manny and Gabi have the gift of exceptional service and the vibe is small, fun and lends itself to a great night. Wonderful night with old friends!!

We discovered that many restaurants in the area open only at 5 PM on weekdays, this place is open for lunch. I am genuinely delighted that we ended up here. The pastas served were exceptional -- truly freshly made, with sauces that were flavorful and well-crafted. Our server, Manuel, enhanced our dining experience significantly. His thorough knowledge of the menu, coupled with his attentive and friendly demeanor, made us feel warmly welcomed. Manuel also informed us about your other location in Santa Monica, which we are eager to try on a future visit. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, with the restaurant not overly busy during the weekday lunch hour, and the tables were impeccably clean. Additionally, I must commend the quality of your bread, which was fresh and delicious. Especially with that oil with vinegar and that garlic soooo good Overall, our visit exceeded expectations, and I look forward to returning whenever we find ourselves in the area.

Came back here with a friend to celebrate my birthday. What an adorable gem just off the Hermosa Beach pier! The dining room is small and cozy, perfect for a not too large party. We were greeted warmly on entry and attentively served. The pasta is all made in house, as well as the sauces and bread. I built my own pasta and it was DELICIOUS. Will definitely be back!

The last time I ate here was over 10 years ago, but the menu, service, food quality and charm are still the same. I ordered my usual create your own pasta with chipotle cream sauce, spicy Italian sausage, beef tips, caramelized onion, and mushrooms. Usually I get spinach linguine, but this time I got the grilled veggies base. SO delicious. I ordered the small Gorgonzola & greens salad. YUM. At the end, ordered the lemon bar. It was savory and thick, full of flavor. The service made me feel at home. The server said he looked forward to me returning sooner than 10 years next time. The restaurant was cozy and the noise level wasn't too loud even tho most tables were filled. I love how it's right down the street from the ocean pier.

Not only was the food amazing, the service was as well! Our server made us feel extremely welcomed here and we appreciate it. Unfortunately we forgot her name as this was 2 weeks ago, but next time we stop by I'm updating this to include her name. I started off with the calamari and it was super tasty. For the main dish I got the Cajun Chicken and it was amazing too!

This place reminded me of the simple, humble meals I loved in Italy--not the touristy spots where servers try to pull you inside, but the old neighborhood trattorias where locals stop by nonstop, stacking four or five pizza boxes to take home for their families. We weren't even that hungry because we had a late lunch, but something about the atmosphere made us want to try their pasta anyway. The warm bread came out first--simple, comforting, and perfect for kids. (They ended up eating more than we expected!) The pasta tasted like it was made with fresh noodles, and my Puttanesca was packed with ingredients yet still beautifully balanced, just like the no-frills trattorias we wandered into in Italy. The kids' menu was also great--our kids ate everything happily. The only thing I'd change is the water; it didn't taste filtered, so next time I'd probably order wine or bottled water. Still, the staff was so kind, warm, and genuinely attentive that it's an easy 5 stars. We'll definitely be back.

Had such a good experience!! Food was amazing and the vibes were super cute. The waiter was incredibly kind, and gave use great recommendations. I would definitely suggest getting the Atomic pasta if you are a fan of spicy food. Will definitely be coming back.

Black and Black & White Spaghettini with shrimp
    Kristina K.

Absolutely incredible food. I picked up a to go order and had the fried gnocchi and an order of the black-and-white spaghettini with shrimp. Both items were so fresh and tasty even though I didn't get to actually eat it for another 25 minutes after I picked it up. For sure the best Italian food I've ever had. Gigantic portion and the shrimp was so fresh and cooked perfectly.

Came here on a weeknight for dinner after hearing great reviews from a local gf and I will definitely be back! We got a small Caesar salad, fried pillows, calamari, and two pasta dishes to share between the 3 of us and it was way more than enough food. To start off, the house complimentary bread and butter is so good. It's so warm and toasted perfectly and I could have kept just eating the bread alone. The fried pillows were also good- I'm a big texture girl so I love the fried crunchiness with the yummy cheese on the inside. The pasta was great too! All in all, this place serves really great food at an affordable price in LA so I was very happy with my dinner here!

Ha! You can see one of them inside tapping her foot.

I just finished my dinner. It was what I brought home from Fritto the night before. Yes, they don't skimp on portion size. They're going to feed you, so be prepared to eat hearty. Our party of five had to wait only about 10 minutes on the early Saturday evening that we stopped by. This was our first visit to the not so quaint Fritto Misto. We attempted to get into Spumoni but it would have been a 45 minute wait. Now, this just wouldn't do for the four ladies that I had in tow. When they're hungry there's no appeasing them into having patience. Oh no. When they want it, they want it now. This night I had four regular Veruca Salts on my hands. I needed to put plan "B" into effect. With these four you always have to have a plan "B". We were seated at a wooden table, somewhat rickety, but not so much as to be an issue. It was close to the middle of the restaurant so we got the full experience of the packed house. There were bustling servers feverishly attending to their customers, and those boisterous folks were having a grand time in conversation, drinking, and enjoying their meal. There's life in that building. Happy vibrant life. The food is outstandingly wonderful. Excellent in all aspects. When our plates were placed in front of us it was as if we were at home with the family. All the good memories associated with our youth. Warm, comfort, happy, family. Then.....take cover! The four lovelies were unleashed! Voracious appetites one and all. Conversation stopped. The sound of utensils cutting, swirling, and clanking against the plate permeated the small world around us.... at least for the first few bites. After which calm overcame and rhythm took over. Despite the torrent of the beginning of the meal, it waned in the end. The four being satiated they settled back into conversation while awaiting their take home boxes. SMH, it's always an adventure with those ladies. To describe what each of us had would sort of be redundant. You already know that the food is good. It's all good. Experience it for yourself. I can tell you this, Spumoni is now plan "B". Quick Tip: Parking can be an issue on a Saturday night. You may have to park some distance away. Be careful to not make the same mistake we did. By trying to quickly get the four hungry whirling Dervishes to some food, I unknowingly parked in a 24 minute metered spot. It wasn't until I read the sign that I realized my mistake. Fortunately one of the ladies spun on down the street and guided me to a 2 hour spot. She brazenly stood there guarding it until I could transition. LoL, there was going to be nothing else standing in the way preventing her and her sisters from their feeding.

We started with cocktails. I had the Mary Sue ("Pornstar Martini") with vodka, vanilla, passionfruit, salted lime, fino sherry, and champagne foam. YUM. Dangerously good. My husband had the Rob Gentile, an elevated Old Fashioned, and was thoroughly impressed. Service was great, and the food was top-notch. Let's dive in! Meatballs with beef, pork, ricotta, potato purée, tomato sauce, Grana Padano, and arugula--WOW. Cheesy, saucy perfection. Beef Tartare with tonnato, shallot, marjoram, crispy potato, and toast. Delicious and a generous portion. I ordered Coop's Pork Shank with Lambrusco-mustard glaze, aromatic jus, and potato purée. Tender, flavorful, and that broth was incredible. It paired perfectly with the broccolini... ...which we didn't order. We spotted the table next to us enjoying it with burrata and immediately added it to our "next time" list. My son ordered the Chicken Parm with capellini. He loved the huge chicken parm portion, which successfully fed his bottomless teenage appetite, but declared the pasta "too eggy." Teenagers are basically unpaid Michelin critics. My husband ordered the Scarpinocc with braised beef cheek, brown butter, sage, and saba. He loved it, but our resident food critic chimed in with, "I don't really taste the beef." Dessert was the cinnamon bread pudding with ice cream and caramel drizzle--absolutely worth saving room for. Everything was delicious, portions were generous, and we left happy (and full enough to feed a small submarine crew). Definitely coming back!

AMAZING! She went through all of the specials (she knew it cold) but I went with the reco and was blown away. Anyway, I don't write these things often. Trust me - you will enjoy his spot. Ciao, saludos.
