    Daspecial of the day.

This recently opened restaurant is small and cozy, serving a variety of Italian food. We walked in and were seated near the bar. We were served by a very nice man, Josuan (maybe not the correct name spelling). He was attentive and polite. We ordered a bottle of Wine and a drink he brought them right over. We really enjoyed the delicious Cartoccio Di Pasta Al Frutti Di Mare a mixed seafood and Linguine wrapped in foil and baked was to die for, Meravigliosa. The Eggplant was equally as good. We did not know what to expect being a new restaurant now we know it was worth every penny.! Will be back, compliments to the bartender who helped us.

Amazing experience we were catered well by Josue and the chef 10/10 the food was pretty amazing and sweet treat to give us this delicious dessert!! Recommend the Spagetthi A Ragu.

Dropped in for the delicious Torta Al Pistachio and an Espresso Martini. Emma was the waitress and did an excellent job checking on the table during dessert. I'd definitely return and eat here because everything looked and smelled amazing.

Heard about the newly opened IL Posta from our daughter, so we decided to check it out for a weekday lunch. They've got a solid lunch menu with special prices, and on Tuesdays you even get a free drink -- nice little perk. We tried a couple of pastas and they came out well. The pasta itself had a nice al dente bite, which I really appreciate. The Alfredo sauce was the star -- creamy, cheesy, and just right. The vodka sauce leaned a little on the sour side, but still tasty overall. We also shared a flatbread; flavor was fine but I wished the crust had more crispiness to it. Service was responsive and friendly, and parking was easy with plenty of street options nearby. Overall, a good new addition to the Riviera Village dining scene -- looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu.

The decor of the place is very well done and it's beautiful! The service is very good, excellent! There were only 2 tables. I just found out this is the same owners of Avenue A Italian restaurant in Palos Verdes. So if you love that restaurant, you will love this place. I will be honest, not my favorite on the PV hill so my expectation for this new spot wasn't high, but was hopeful... Food: * calamari - greasy and the batter wasn't very crunchy. 6/10 * beef carpaccio - it was mediocre at best. Nothing really stood out for me. 7/10 Entrées: * Ossobucco - wasn't melt in your mouth tender like it should have been for $58. Taste was mediocre. It needs to be braised a lot longer than what they claimed it has been braising for.... 5/10 * salmon with lemon with butter & caper sauce. Salmon was fresh since they have deliveries on Mondays & Thurs. But to me, it was a big dry n over cooked. $38 7/10 (my kid liked it) I find the food to be just ok for the price of what they charge, same as Avenue A Italian restaurant. I find it to be over priced mediocre Italian. Food wise 3-31/2 stars. Since it's been only open for 3 days the food might get better...? They only have 2 homemade pastas on their menu. Maybe they will bring more fresh homemade pastas. I really had high hopes for a good local Italian restaurant. After the final bill of close to $300 for 2 appetizers, 3 three entrées, two small bottles of sparkling water, and one glass of wine. Well.., felt a bit disappointed.... I don't mind spending this price or more when I have had an excellent meal. This place left me with a content belly but to my taste buds something a miss... A little of craving for something more... I did not think it transported back to Italy as their profile says it will... wish it did! I miss and dream about when I was in Italy! The closest restaurant that reminds me of Italy to me is Il Pastaio in BH, Madeo in BH. Would I go back again..? I don't think so.

The only reason I'm giving this place a 2 is because of the great service. The staff were incredibly accommodating for my wife and newborn on a busy Valentine's Day night. We walked up and got sat outside at a great table. The host was super friendly and the waiter was top notch. Sadly the food was a different story. The expensive Caesar salad was clearly from Costco as well as the Frutti Di mare pasta, which was the frozen Costco cioppino with added boxed pasta. My wife's veal were three small paper thin slices with reheated frozen vegetables on the side. It was clear that everything was frozen and reheated from a package. Diners beware that this place sells itself as a small mom and pop Italian spot but it's really part of the same group as hook and plow, yellow vase, etc. Being part of the same group even made it more disappointing. I really hope that they focus on getting fresh ingredients, fresh pasta and fresh seafood. We didn't finish our dinners and we are on our way to pick up Fatto Manno down the street.

Only snapped a picture of the dessert but WOW!!! If you're looking for homemade pasta, made fresh daily, THIS is the place. Our waiter, is not only a waiter, but someone that makes the pasta daily. So you know they are invested in what they are serving. Our server was knowledgeable and was very helpful in choosing what to order and also treated us extremely well. The fresh pasta was chefs kiss . To start was the burrata pugliese which was a fresh and refreshing start to the meal. I got the penne allá liguare while other got the lasagna bolognese and messelune di crostacei... all plates were cleaned . The ambiance is both open and private between the indoor and outdoor seating. It is tucked away on the corner so can be easily missing, but you don't want to miss this place! Highly recommend and look forward to coming back.

A delicious sweet/savory appetizer that did not disappoint! (Prosciutto + cantaloupe.)

Our first time trying this wonderful restaurant has us already looking forward to our next visit. Food and service were on point and it's a delightful ambiance they've created in the space. We're very grateful to have places of this caliber so close to home.

It was my first time at it posto and my daughter and I fully enjoyed it! We had the fresh pasta dish "Oricchieile Bariolioteo" and loved it! Our waitress was very accommodating and let us try a couple samples of wine before we ultimately decided on a cocktail instead. Her Cadillac margaritas were killer!! We were so impressed with the pasta maker (Bartolotteo) and the sauce maker, see photo! Great atmosphere too, we enjoyed sitting outdoors with our dog.

The new Italian restaurant in Riviera. It is now our favorite place. Everything we had was very good! Service was a little slow but friendly. We'd definitely come back to try other dishes.

The waitress taking my order had no personality and didn't check in on me after my food was brought over. I decided to bring my family for dinner, shortly after their official grand opening. I called in to ask if they had a table for four and I was assured they did have one available and would hold it for us over the next 20 minutes. We arrived within 13 minutes and were told that they didn't have anymore tables available and when I mentioned I'd called and one was promised to be held, I could see the "oh crap!" Look on the hostess' face. I was told once again that they didn't have a table available for us but we could sit outside in the cold, with no heater. Since I'd hyped the food up so much, my wife was eager to try it, so she asked that we sit outside and dine there; so I obliged. Service was once again mediocre. The food was tasting great when suddenly my wife spat something out; upon further examination it was literal broken glass! Seriously, broken glass! I immediately took the plate to the manager and he was apologetic and offered to "comp everything" or remake the dish. My wife was still hungry so she opted to have it remade. For me, the experience was ruined. I couldn't finish my meal, while my wife ate most of her remade meal. Once we got the check, my wife's meal was removed. I chose to not pursue the offer to "comp everything," further so I paid and we left. We've not been back and we've told everyone about our experience

I have the burrata caprese and I think it could use more balsamic I mean burrata is burrata so it was fantastic. The tiny tomatoes throw me off a little bit for but like in general everything was delicious.. My friend ordered the lasagna which I was a little bit envious of after I saw it. It's a huge portion and it's absolutely fantastic.. I had the night special, which is chicken piccata, which was overall very lovely buttery lemon and tangy could've used a little bit more pasta, and the broccoli was cooked really well in general lovely. We share the tiramisu for dessert and I really can't complain. I think it could've been a little bit more punchy when it came to the coffee in the rum, but it was still really good. And General service was great. They were really busy so it wasn't anything too frequently and the manager or the owner checked in on the tables and I'm happy that we went here..

I'm guessing since they're coming to a permanent closure, it only makes sense that the quality of the experience (food and service) had began to going down. We were seated immediately, so we were off to a good start. It took a bit of time for Daniel (yep! We got the same server from the last time) to come around and get our orders. It wasn't too bad since the wait gave us the opp to decide on apps and mains, so we got to put all our orders in at once. CALAMARI: Battered thin and crispy. Dash of lemon juice made it better. Quality? Yes. Quantity? Not so much. I thought it was pricey for the amount we got. PEPPERCORN POLPETTINE: Meatballs in cream sauce. Even with the whole peppercorns, the sauce was good. The meatballs, however, didn't taste or look homemade at all. (I recently made frozen meatball soup at home and the meatball's flavor was pretty much similar.) So.. meh... BRUSCHETTA ALLA CHECCA: This was the best app out of the three. Crostini was perfect and the toppings were all perfectly balanced. SPAGHETTI AI NERO DI SEPPIA: Looked great, but lacked flavor. Asked for fresh grated cheese and added black pepper which helped a little, but still missing something... Hubbers got the linguine pesca mare which he loved (he emptied his plate!) So I guess that says a lot. And I'm really glad he liked it, being his birthday and all. He also chose crème brûlée to finish off his birthday treat. (No, they didn't comp it - which is fine, and I don't expect them - or any business - to, even more since they are shutting down. I understand they need all the profit they can get.) Overall a little less stellar than the first visit. I'll admit I was a teenee bit disappointed since we had an amazing experience the first time. My husband had the Rob Gentile, an elevated Old Fashioned, and was thoroughly impressed. Service was great, and the food was top-notch. Let's dive in! Meatballs with beef, pork, ricotta, potato purée, tomato sauce, Grana Padano, and arugula--WOW. Cheesy, saucy perfection. Beef Tartare with tonnato, shallot, marjoram, crispy potato, and toast. Delicious and a generous portion. I ordered Coop's Pork Shank with Lambrusco-mustard glaze, aromatic jus, and potato purée. Tender, flavorful, and that broth was incredible. It paired perfectly with the broccolini... ...which we didn't order. We spotted the table next to us enjoying it with burrata and immediately added it to our "next time" list. My son ordered the Chicken Parm with capellini. He loved the huge chicken parm portion, which successfully fed his bottomless teenage appetite, but declared the pasta "too eggy." Teenagers are basically unpaid Michelin critics. My husband ordered the Scarpinocc with braised beef cheek, brown butter, sage, and saba.
