We stopped in for crepes and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have gluten free options! My daughter ordered the Naughty Banana which she said was "Absolutely fantastic!" The service was very friendly and quick with a relaxed and fun ambiance. We will absolutely be back the next time we're in La Jolla.

Toppings were not free but the owner was generous with the scoops. The yogurt was unfortunately icy and grainy. The chocolate and vanilla were mild and unremarkable. I also got a toasted marshmallow chai and the chai was undetectable. The entire concoction was sugary and I struggled to finish my drink. The tables were dirty and in need of a good wipe down. The staff were friendly but the quality was bad poor. Considering the dessert and drinks weren't cheap, I wouldn't come back for a sweet fix.

Highly recommend coming here during/after a beach day.. or on any day in fact!! Froglanders presents very modestly from the outside, but have some of the best tasting crepes in San Diego. My go to is the Amazing Crepe. They serve it up warm with some nutella, bananas, strawberries, and whipped cream. It's the perfect dessert when I want something light, or when I want to share with a friend. It is a nice place to go to for a pocket-friendly and worthwhile dessert. read more

Amazing ice cream the employee was really nice to me and help me and give me instructions on how to sign up to their reward system, even though it was my first time I'm going to come here and get all the time now since because due to their kindness and respectfulness the ambience is beautiful the decorations around just help show that there's frogs and that it's part of their community. There's a huge community here. Kids come here all the time. I've totally recommend it. They have new flavors every single week and their music is also fabulous. read more

Popped in here for a quick froyo on a Saturday afternoon. There were several family and friends groups, but plenty of indoor-outdoor seating to accommodate us. I went simple and had the original tart flavor. My hubby and daughter swirled their flavors and had a topping. Loved the fast service so that we could spend time to enjoy our treats. read more

What a treat! I walked here from La Jolla shores hotel. I was exploring and thought some dairy free frozen yogurt would be fun. (I'm allergic to dairy.) I got there too early and the machines hadn't frozen yet. (I didn't know that was a thing, that they reduced the temperature at night... or maybe they started a fresh batch in the morning?) Anyway, much to my delight, I discovered that my alternative was to have a gluten free and dairy free crepe. That is not something you come across everyday. Usually if a place offers GF/DF crepes, the filling options are so limited because they contain dairy (like the chocolate or Nutella). It was an extra fee, but they actually had dairy free Nutella! It has been decades since I was able to eat a crepe like this (I had the amazing with strawberries, bananas, and DF Nutella). What a treat. It was expensive, but the joy and experience was priceless. read more

Edit 02/2024: $4 for a very small portion of tart is not "affordable" anymore. The tarte taste is more in the sour, watery side than cream. I like yomaro better and wouldn't come here again unless I really crave Froyo. Not sure why I rated this place so high. My experience this time wasn't the best read more

The local kids know this is the place. In reality the kids-now grown with kids-also know this is the place after decades of serving up yum. I think it's been there 3-4 decades! Anyhow, the crepes are fantastic. Savory or sweet, vegan or not. Super delicious and amazing considering Froglanders seems like just a yogurt stop. I loved this little space where I bought plain crepes (not on menu, just ask) and chocolate yogurt. It's nothing fancy but I found it peaceful, good music playing. I went twice while on my week-long vacation. The employees (male) both visits were nice, a good chill and relax space to eat some sweet treats :). read more

First time in Froglanders, the kids had a great old time. We all had something different. My son had the crêpes with Nutella and banana. I had mine with cajete! It was an interesting place to visit. I took my 5 year old daughter here after school. We loved it. Its close to many schools in the Village. You can tell when school gets out. There's a nice front corner table with a fun view. We sat with the owner and talked for a while. He's very nice and I can tell he loves this place. We loved everything. Sweet and savory crepes. They have some creative crepes. Spent a little under 20 bucks for the two of us. We did in line between 10 to 15 minutes. Maybe staff was very organized and let us sample different flavors. Had fun picking out our flavors paid and got out of the shop. we started the walk down the hill to the grassy area of the park to watch the sunset, and one of us was attacked by a flock of seagulls and had one of our ice cream cups ripped out of her hands. Other person finish their ice cream and the person that had their ice cream Eaton want to go wait in line again to get another one. Only the line had grown wrapped around the building so we decided against it.. while walking around the park area we saw it happen to two other groups with both people attacked getting their ice cream knocked to the ground and eaten by seagulls. I've been to La Jolla a bunch of times and I've never seen the birds this aggressive. Next time I'll make sure to stand as close to the shop as possible to finish my ice cream before venturing out when there's so many birds around.

Espresso Cookie Butter took me by surprise. I normally don't get espresso ice cream. But I went for it. The espresso was present in every bite. But that cookie butter flavor was always right behind the initial taste. Very sweet. Honey Lavender Fields was my favorite. It was very balanced and smooth. I really appreciated that the lavender was not overpowering I also got their $5 cookies. Those were also good. I tried the confetti, snickerdoodle, and double chocolate. I enjoyed them all.

My only minor complaint is that it was a little sweeter than I personally prefer. Because of that, I was glad I ordered the kid's size, which ended up being the perfect amount for me. If you have a sweet tooth, you'll probably love it even more than I did. Overall, it's easy to see why Stella Jean's has such a loyal following. They have some unique flavors that you won't find elsewhere like biscoff, Persian (rose water I think), and my wife's fav lavender honey. All were being delivered as other people were arriving and ordering. I was happy about our waiter/waitress taking the initiative to handle orders. I wish I knew their names, they were doing a fantastic job! Appetizers, main entrees, pizza, and beverages were all arriving promptly. The quality of food was fantastic. All was delicious. The ambiance was great. We sat at the outdoor patio area. It was a hot day, by 5pm we were feeling the ocean breeze. It was not packed as I expected which came to a big surprise. That made the vibe even better. Clean restrooms is a plus. Plenty of parking, but all is pending on the day of time. We happen to get lucky with available parking. Since it is close to UCSD, this is definitely a spot to host any event. Staff is friendly and professional! Kudos to them. Delicious food and awesome service, exceeded my expectations.
