We were lucky to met the 2 owners (brothers) who have poured their passion and creativity into making this place happen. You can swirl (Self-Serve like FROYO) unlimited from ~10 premium flavors like Matcha Queen, Caffè Cold Brew, Italian Chocolate, Hazelnut, Peanut Butter & more (all made with REAL ingredients) in a nice large bright spot !! I visited Brites on a Sunday evening. I heard about this spot opening not too long ago, so I was excited to try it for myself. I thought that they had a great selection of flavors & toppings, making my decision of which to include in my cup very difficult. I ended up getting a little dollop of their vegan vanilla matcha, hazelnut de chocolato, strawnana, & cinnamon & bees, then loaded up on the toppings & sauces. Brites Soft Serve is a frozen yogurt shop that has opened in the Pacific Beach Marketplace which is along the main beachfront drag. The business shares the underground parking structure anchored by Ralphs. That amenity was a bonus because free parking in this area was scarce. The suite used to house a boba tea shop with some inside seating. All of that has been removed, and countertop ledges were installed next to the windows if you wanted to consume your dessert on site. A few outside tables were available in front of the business. The premise of the products here was low-calorie using premium ingredients. There were five machines that each dispensed two flavors. Sample cups were available at the service counter. I tried a few flavors before deciding on a mix of Cinnamon & Bees and Strawberry Banana. I skipped the toppings bar because the price was a hefty $0.90 per ounce. The frozen treat tasted less sweet than elsewhere, but that reflected the low-calorie makeup. While the fro-yo was good, I couldn't help but notice the price was at least 20% higher than another business in the neighborhood. The other place was further away from the beach, and it didn't serve low calorie products. I am unsure if that justified the cost difference, especially when the toppings were similar, but were still charged at the same rate of $0.90 per ounce. I gave my visit to Brites Soft Serve a rating between three and four stars. read more

So excited to finally try this place! Pacific Beach needed a frozen yogurt shop, and love that they have low-calorie and vegan options here - something for everyone. They have some tables outside to sit at. Brites offers a unique take on ice cream, providing self-serve pay-by-weight soft serve made with monk fruit sweetener and nonfat milk. They offer 8, I think, different flavors and toppings similar to frozen yogurt shops (fruit, mochi, brownie bites) along with healthier options (granola, chia seeds, flax seeds). I liked that the store is spacious and staff are friendly. There is even a parking garage under the shopping center, which is rare for PB! However, I thought the flavors were just okay. The cold brew flavor was our least favorite, tasting too roasted for our liking. Peanut butter, matcha, and vanilla were fine but nothing special. Low-calorie soft serve ice cream that doesn't compromise on taste. I was pleasantly blown away when I came to try this place. As far as my favorite flavors, go, the peanut butter and cold brew were absolutely fantastic! They sweeten their ice cream with monk fruit to cut calories and I honestly could not tell the difference. I thought it was good if not better than Menchie's or Yogurtland or any of the other yogurt shops I've ever been to. Come here and give this a try, you won't regret it! read more

I have been intrigued every time I drive by and see this place. It's similar to your typical froyo place where you self serve your soft serve into a cup. A bit pricy. Some flavors were better than others. The guy was nice and answered all our food allergy questions. Place was big and clean. Nothing was bad but nothing really stood out. My new go to spot for soft serve. Came here after the gym and tried their matcha soft serve mixed with Madagascar vanilla. Flavor was 10/10 and all of their toppings were clean and fresh. Staff were extremely friendly and it's obvious they take pride in what they do. Would definitely recommend this to anyone with a sweet tooth looking for a treat that won't make you feel bloated afterwards. read more

A new soft serve spot opened up in PB right next to Ralph's. It's a self serve type of set up and they have a lot of fun flavors. They offer you sampling cups to try them. They also offer a vegan flavor which is currently matcha vanilla. I chose the cinnamon and bees flavor with various toppings, I love the popping boba. Oh my yum! I'm so glad we tried Brites. We come to Pacific Beach and very year and we noticed this as we were heading into Ralph's. I love that you serve yourself and can control how much of each flavor you want and you put your own toppings on. Everything we tried was delicious (vanilla, peanut butter and chocolate). Came across this place on TikTok and had to check it out. So glad I did!! Great flavors and loved the topping options. You can tell how great the quality is based on how fresh the fruit toppings are (amazing)!! We got to meet one of the owners was at the shop and he was so nice. Is it a little more expensive than other (not as good) froyo shops in PB? Yes. Have I paid more for two cocktails in PB? Absolutely. And it's low cal!! No complaints, check this place out! read more

I sampled chocolate from Peru, Madagascar, and Kenya, and they all had unique fruity characteristics. Because they're vegan, so they use oat milk for their chocolate instead of dairy. My wife and I also wanted some drinks while we were here. I had a hot chocolate. My wife had hers with espresso shots. Good espresso in pure chocolate will never not be good. They are family owned and they only add chocolate, sugar, and oat milk to make their bars. Overall, this was a fun place to check out at Little Italy, and they also had a stall at the Farmer's Market.

The main seating area is almost always full, but there's more indoor seating in the back through the hallway (where the bathroom is), plus some outdoor seating to the side. The drinks are really good. I always get mine half sweet, and the flavors are consistently great. They also have a ton of cute, picturesque desserts. They're a bit too sweet for my taste, but you can tell a lot of care goes into making them and they're definitely tasty. Parking can be tricky downtown, and it can get busy with lines, but it's totally worth it for the drinks, desserts, and overall ambiance. FYI, they have a new location up north in Scrips Poway, it's cute but slightly different aesthetic (umm more industrial) and is in a strip mall, so, way more parking!
