    Fried ice cream celebration
    Laura J.

We celebrated our Grandson's 17th birthday dinner at Frontera. We've been there on several occasions and the food is always exceptionally delicious. It tastes more like real Mexican food than what the standard establishments serve. The food is always piping hot and served up quickly. Frontera is in a former Chili's building which you would never recognize. The ambiance is fun, bright, colorful and comfortable. It's open and airy, yet you don't hear a lot of noise or other table conversations. We had Queso with our chips and it was a hot, hearty amount served in a cast iron dish. The salsa had a very unique taste that was mildly hot. My husband had the Chimichanga Deluxe, our Grandson had the Chicken Quesidella, and I had the Street Tacos. The Chimi and Street Tacos were served with red rice and Charro beans. The beans alone are worth visiting Frontera. They are served in a savory broth and unlike any I've had at other restaurants. My husband loved the Chimichanga Deluxe. The Street Tacos were served in a warm, soft corn tortilla covered with melted Jack cheese, caramelized onions, shredded cabbage, grilled chicken, cotija cheese and pico de gallo. At the end of our meal, the staff brought our Grandson fried ice cream in a cinnamon sugar shell, and celebrated with a birthday song. They capped off a delicious meal and great service with a special dessert. I regret I didn't take pictures of our food before we dug in.

We stumbled upon this gem while camping in the area, and we were absolutely blown away. It just so happened to be the one year anniversary, and we got the pleasure of seeing a live mariachi band! Celebrating with the staff was so fun. We enjoyed two delicious juicy carnitas and al pastor tacos, alongside with fresh tableside guacamole But then - our beautiful pitcher of margarita came out. Before you order a single margarita, we would highly recommend getting one of these bad boys to share. Happy 1 year! Cheers to many more.

I have been here many times since I initially checked in. The place is in what was an old Chili's spot, and i was worried that it would be just that. Boy was I wrong! The first thing I always judge a Mexican restaraunt on is their chips and salsa. This place delivers! The chips are home made, you can tell because they are warm and not all the same size and shape. The salsa has a bit of a kick but nothing that will burn your nose hairs. Tammy and Nikki are fantastic at the bar. They are some of the friendlies people I have seen working in the food industry in years. They are always smiling and will offer suggestions on whatever you want. As I said I have been there many times and gotten enchiladas, tacos, burritos and the queso dip and everything has been excellent. I consider myself a regular there, and thats not something I say easily.

Stopped in tonight 12/26/23 , we were seated asap! Drink order was fast! We had queso /mushroom fundido , was lil greasy but had great flavor! Husband had 3 street taco's he said they were great , I had carne asada and it was pretty good as well! We will defiantly go again. 4 stars because drink refills never happened.

Frontera opened in Tilton this weekend, so I brought the in-laws out for Sunday lunch. We ended up getting the queso as an appetizer, which didn't taste much different than kraft white cheese slices, melted, with some green chile. We all had the skinny margaritas, which tasted pretty good. The food came out quickly, and was hot upon arrival to the table. They did a great job with the interior and overall atmosphere. Theme of the evening: Got the job done but wasn't anything special.

Food was pretty good, however the street nachos had dry chicken and not a whole lot of flavor.

Onions Pub & Restaurant turned out to be one of those places that makes you glad you trusted the reviews. Housed in the historic Tilton Inn, the restaurant has plenty of character before you even open the menu. We chose the pub side, which has a fun, relaxed atmosphere and felt like exactly the right place to kick off the evening. We started by sharing the French onion soup, and I'm glad we did. It was outstanding and easily one of the better versions I've had in quite some time. My partner ordered one of the entrée salads, which looked fresh, generous, and every bit as satisfying as my fish and chips. I paired the fish and chips with a Smithwick's Irish Red Ale. The fish was crisp, flaky, and satisfying--the kind of pub meal that's hard to improve on. The service added just as much to the experience as the food. Our waitress was also tending bar and happily shared the story behind both the historic inn and the restaurant's unusual name. As we learned, "Onion" is actually an affectionate nickname for Bermudians, a nod to the island's once-famous onion exports. Since the owner is half Bermudan, the name fits perfectly. She was one part bartender, one part server, and one part docent, and it made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. Onions is a little quirky in all the right ways, with good food, welcoming people, and a setting that feels like it has stories to tell. If you're in the area--whether you're heading to a concert or just passing by on I-93--it's well worth the stop. Five stars.

The vibe was cozy and although there was music, you could easily still have a great conversation. The waitstaff was very pleasant and service was great! We had Anna but my sister and brother in law also love Kyle! The spinach and artichoke dip was probably some of the best I've ever had. The Reuben was delicious, steak tips were great! The mashed cauliflower was heaven!! So flavorful! But what really sold me was they had an actual diaper changing pad and table in the family bathroom!! AMAZING!! As a new mom it was so great to have an actual pad to lay my child on and not have to worry about something attached to a wall. That made my night! Will definitely be going back again to try some other items out!

The icing on the cake was the absolute disrespect and rudeness of the manager, when the check came there was an issue. We asked for the manager, because the waiter didn't understand what our complaint was. She arrived at the table clearly irritated that she had to come. My friend tried to explain the problem, she then became more irritated and yelled at my friend that she wasn't going to argue with him. I said he isn't arguing he's explaining, she grabbed the check and said fine I'll fix it and stormed away. Not great. And rude.

The presentation was wonderful and it will keep me coming back. I knew that there wermany other things on the menu, but I'll come back for this again and again. Two of us had the coconut curry soup and literally had to lick the bowl to make sure we du DMP t miss one drop of this. The other in our party had the salad And enjoyed it completely. The two others had the scallops and were very impressed. One of our party has a tomato allergy and they were careful not to have it on the dish. Then came dessert time. I called ahead to make sure they had carrot cake because i had read great reviews on it. It certainly lived up to those reviews. One of our guests was too full for dessert, but managed to get a spoonful of both of ours. My friend had the Boston Crean tart, and we all declared this a winner also. They were very accommodating as I had booked for four and had to call them before we came in person's plane was delayed. When I asked, because of the reviews I had read, if they would have carrot cake that evening, and the gentleman said as long as I'm here we will always have carrot cake. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a delicious, well prepared and well presented meal that is as fresh as can be. The service is wonderful and we will be back.
